Ordered many time and no issue. Food is delicious.

Awful service. Just placed an order on just eat and received a call from one of the staff members asking me to pay extra £3 as is too far and the driver won't deliver if I don't pay the extra £2. Absolutely disgraceful. Already paid for deliver via just eat. Spent £45 on the order. Avoid, unless you want to pay more money than you should

May's food was fantastic! I savoured every single recipe. It was a delightful dining experience.

We ordered special chow main and curry sauce with chips - the food was disgusting ! The curry sauce just tasted of powder and the chowmein was so salty my daughter couldn’t eat it I had to make her something else to eat as well as not being able to eat the curry sauce with chips the whole order went in the bin! When I called to complain I never even got and apology! I wouldn’t recommend this take-away to anyone!

I had a really really nice order from C.C. last week. Only reason I'm not assigning 5* for food is I like to hold back one star for headblowingly outstanding "Michilen Star" level- But don't misunderstand me- the food was lovely, absolutely what I wanted and I was very pleased I ordered 5* overall because they deliver perfectly on what they promise,.and not least their Very pleasant staff/customer service. They're just lovely to deal with. PS They.must be doing something right- I've been back 5 times since I first posted!

Not had a Chinese for a while but always order from here although tonight our takeaway was extra brilliant!! Not sure if there has been any kind of change since we last ordered or if the reason was that we ordered earlier than normal but tonight our food was extra tasty and soo fresh!!

Crispy shredded lamb was mostly fat,mostly lettuce and charged £11 Crispy pancake roll was soaked in oil, the packet it came in had atleast 3 spoons of oil. Will never order again and advise no one else does.

I live 100 yards from Canton Chef which is handy. Two years ago I ordered King Prawn omellette which is my favourite chinese takeout. It was vile!!!! Tonight (Monday night ) they were only local takeout open so I chanced a second attempt at the take out. I ordered the same meal hoping that things may have improved. Gee wiz. It was the worst meal that I have ever encountered. Chips cold and stoggy, omelette looked a mess upon first seeing it. it was vile! . The taste was awful. One could taste that the oil used to cook the meal appeared to be well past its sell by date, and gave me cronic indegestion. I,ve been burping all night!!! Never again !!!

Ordered Sunday 19th Duck chow mein etc. Just eat This morning he was really bad from both ends, food poisoning.. I've tried to call, but no response. Please make sure he is credited fully. I will be taking this further...

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! My partner ordered from here last night as his usual Chinese wasn’t open. He has been up most the night with food poisoning, he has been very poorly since and upon ringing to complain the lady on the phone was not bothered at all and offered no apology or refund.. The place needs shutting down, disgusting!!

Great takeaway, been using them for the last 6 months or so after our previous regular Chinese went downhill. Always great service and delicious food. Usually phone order through to collect and always been ready at the specific time. Parking can sometimes be a challenge in the spaces at the front but can usually find something on the side road opposite.

Decent food and prices, £7.40 for Singapore Curry and chips. Only gripe is too many mushrooms. Excellent service.

One piece of chicken in the entire chow main, my sons dinner was missing and they said they were too busy to come back!!! “Discount next time?” Erm no I don’t think so we spent about £27 with them and it was by far the worst Chinese/Cantonese we’ve ever had with the worst attitude so no I’m afraid we will never never eat there again!

Lovely takeaway food. Quick service. Only downside is you can't pay by card. Cash only. This always makes me a bit suspicious!

Fastest ever delivery, 20 minutes from order to delivery. delivered by a very kind and polite gentleman who wished us a good evening Food was red-hot and tasted amazing. I had stopped using this restaurant due to poor service and food, It’s clearly picked it’s socks up or had a take over, As the food and service is a lot better now, Can’t wait to get another order in. Food came really quick. Chowmein was really dry and not very tasty at all. The Cantonese chicken was just ok. Wont be ordering from here again. Food was very hot when arrived though.

First time ordering from Canton Chef and will definitely ordering again. We pre-ordered for a time of 7:05pm.(It was a big order) and came on time. Exceptional dishes & great customer service.

Best Singapore fried rice and salt and pepper chili shredded beef..

I have been coming to this takeaway since I was a kid (18 years ago). It's been around for as long as I remember and probably one of the oldest in Rugby. It had a hard few months at the beginning of the year with staff changes, but the food now is better than ever. Shout out to the chef and the lovely family who own it. It really is a gem to our community and it has always been here. I've always had excellent service and delicious food every time. Well done Canton Chef!

The food is exceptional and as someone who has lived in Asia, I have to say it’s the closest to authentic Chinese food in Warwickshire! Well done Canton Chef! 10/10 recommend!

We live in Hillmorton & used to order from here all the time. The food was good most of the time however the delivery wasn’t always punctual. However a friend of mine found a maggot in his meal & we have not eaten here since! It was reported to the local authorities. Not sure how this establishment is still open you only have to look at their hygiene ratings online to know to stay well clear.Such a shame as it is so local to us & we used to enjoy the food but something has to dramatically change.

We had two different meals and both were dry, you had the feeling they had been cooked for quite a while. It was unfortunate as when we lived in Hillmorton we used it regularly but this experience was not a good one and we won’t be trying it again.

Ordered a chicken and chips meal in a box without mushrooms or sauce and when the takeaway arrived it was stone cold and had the smallest quantity of chips to accompany the chicken. A complete waste of my time and money. The price of the cold chicken and six chips was £5.00! You are better off to get a packet of sandwiches and some crisps from the petrol station. Thoroughly recommended not to order from here!

I just can't understand the bad reviews on here so I felt I must have my say! I can't comment on the meat or fish but as a vegetarian this is the best chinese takeaway I have ever found, and I'll happily go to the other end of Rugby to use this one, ignoring the offerings near to me! The food is extremely tasty and nicely cooked, with many veggie choices including the tofu dishes which is crispy and flavoursome (not like most restaurants who serve up the tasteless soft stuff) and their 'mock' duck or chicken is a clever and tasty recipe that is so addictive! The service is fast, with meals usually ready in 15 mins. It's not the cheapest takeaway but in my view the best as far as Chinese goes.

We ordered Sweet & Sour chicken with egg fried rice and a side dish, it may have looked like chicken balls but it sure as hell didn't taste like it, the batter was really soggy on the inside and the chicken didn't taste like chicken. The egg fried rice was hard. And the side dish was really watery and cold. Never again. In fact I threw the takeaway menu into the recycling bin to ensure that I don't use them again.

Had the chicken curry, the meat was lush.

Friendly helpful staff. Large portions to go with their large menu, probably the largest menu I've seen at a Chinese take away. Food always still piping hot when I get back to the boat.

Went here to order some food and informed that they take cash only. How many places these days only accept cash?????? Needless to say, we turned round and walked out and went somewhere else.

I like my food spicey hot, so i have ordered special chow mein Singapore hot which is showed to have 1 chilli strength, many times they didn't do as i asked. i changed it to again special chow mein but Malaysian style extremely spicy marked with 3 chilli's. 1st time food was very good 4 half stars. the next 2 orders they didn't bother to even try to spice it up so i went in & complained. i next had same order on 16/02/18 again they got it wrong i complained again only to be told 2 things 1) i should told them to spice it up 2) they didn't use enough of the packet YES PACKET to make the source. THEY USE PACKETS TO MAKE ALL THERE DIFFERENT SOURCES nothing is maid with fresh herbs & spices it comes out of a packet & they still get it wrong.

Ordered food at 6pm and should have been here by 7.05pm. Called to chase up and no apology for the delay and didn't arrive until 7.35pm. Totally disappointed, food was dry, tasteless, disgusting and portions small. Will not be going back.

Llamamos a la tienda de nuevo en 810, el conductor estaba en su camino. La tienda en 830 Rang, el conductor estaba en su camino. Yo vivo a 5 minutos de distancia. . . . Controlador finalmente llegamos a 835. Bill era 38 libras pagamos £30 en efectivo. La tienda no estaba contento con esto, pero yo pagué lo que yo sentía era justo. El Conductor me dijo que tenía 835 en la izquierda de la tienda en 825 a entregar a nosotros, así que había sido engañado por casi 3 / 4 de una hora. Tratamiento de un local para llevar chocante que he usado por más de 15 años x de que va a llegar tarde, dígalo! ! ! No mentir y dejar que el hombre tome la entrega flack x

New chinese of choice after my old favourite closed. Love the salt and pepper chilli chips and veg chow mein, lots if interesting veg. Always ring first and its ready relatively quickly normally within 15 min.

La operadora fue grosero y dijeron que habían elegido el sólo para cocinar y sería de 45 minutos a una hora antes de la entrega - demasiado tarde para mis visitantes. Me acabé yendo al local para comida. chippy Estoy realmente decepcionado. Comer solo eran geniales y canceló el pedido, aunque su sitio web dice que el cancelado. Canton Chef eran una completa pérdida de espacio. Su excusa fue que no me dan un plazo de entrega, nadie espera llevar a esperar dos horas antes de empezar a cocinar de verdad aquí. No malgastes tu tiempo en entrega orderes.

We have been ordering here for a few years and food has always been consistent and good but this time they forgot our curry and a rude man shouted at me down the phone refusing to refund for the inconvenience and deliver the missing curry aswell, then hung up the phone. Delivery man refunded us for the curry within 5 minutes. Shame as this event has put me off ordering from this local Chinese in the future.

Normalmente no suelo comer comida china pero la señora le encanta vegetariano weirdo. Todo lo que he probado aquí nunca deja de impresionarme. Magnífica comida. El personal es agradable y eficiente y el precio es justo. No me puedo quejar del lugar. Incluso viajar unos kilómetros extra para llegar a este lugar y pase 2 otros que no para mí.

dont often eat from here but sometimes when i fancy a change or something a little spicy i choose the plain singapore rice and sweet and sour chicken balls which are good value and really tasty

I ordered specifically for 7.15 when I got in from work, got a call at 6.50 to say they were here, I wasn't home so food went back and was redelivered half hour late STONE COLD it was inedible. Called to complain and was told nothing they could do to compensate or swap the food. Absolutely terrible customer service and disgusting food. Will never order from here again.

Extensive menu, friendly staff and stuff delivered on time. If it's not on the menu then ask and they can usually accommodate.

Ordered a takeaway for my sons 13th birthday for 2 adults and 4 children....the children specifically requested prawn crackers. It took a long time to be delivered which we were prepared to accept. I specifically asked when I finished my order which came to £42.00 if we had to order prawn crackers and was told they would be free. The order arrived....the food was cold..the portions were smaller than we have had previously and there were no prawn crackers! I called to say they were missing and the canton chef were not bothered in the slightest. We have ordered from here numerous times in the past but they have clearly become greedy and their customer service is no longer important to them. Shame! Used to be good. WON'T USE THEM NOW!

We ordered our meal to be delivered during the England game to our club whilst watchibg the world cup. The food arrived earlier than expected and was excellent.

Have to be honest, Canton Chef isn't one of our regular choices for takeaway, and our most recent experience isn't likely to see it become more regular. Whilst there was nothing majorly wrong, there are plenty better. The spring rolls seemed to be too much pastry, not enough filling. The kung po king prawn was actually rather bland. The satay chicken skewers were a bit skinny. Service was good, cost was good, but it just wasn't good enough compared to the alternatives. Won't be rushing back.

I ordered a takeaway tonight got all the way to dunchurch (5 miles away) and found 2 hairs in my food. Rang up and they denied it. So I went in and the Chinese lady on the counter actually Laffed at me and never apologised at all. Even the manager didn't apologise until I actually asked him to!!!! Be careful of hair !!!!!

Came across the canton chef after our local takeaway was closed. Place and order and within 15 minutes it was ready.we both enjoyed everything we ordered The chicken balls were probably the best we have ever had.Light crispy batter, if I had one small negative it was the packaging. Polystyrene trays in stead of plastic or foil trays.look forwards to retuning in the new year.

Fast food, reasonable price, the sweet & sour sauce dishes are very bright red in colour but taste nice. The only thing that put me of going back is that the front of house staff had terrible food stains all down her sweatshirt which prompted me to look for the hygeine rating which I could not see displayed?

The most frustrating thing about my order was that I phoned the restaurant before placing the order and checked delivery times, they said within the hour. When I made my order on Just Eat it estimated 50 minutes so when the food came after 1 hour and 20 minutes you can understand how disappointed and annoyed I was….especially for a Sunday night. It was getting too late and my wife and I didn’t even feel like eating. What made this worse was that they charged me £1.50 for delivery!The dishes that arrived were bland, flavourless and just full of salt. The most enjoyable part of the meal was the chilli sauce they provided with my dim sum (probably out of a bottle!). Everything else was tasteless. When I rang both at the start and at the end to chase my order the person on the other end could barely speak English and this made the whole experience more frustrating. I appreciate they are foreign nationals (as am I!) but if you are going to conduct business in this country you should have some basic business provisions to allow for appropriate customer interaction. One positive was the young lady who delivered the food. She was lovely and so sincerely apologetic. You could tell she had been working her socks off and it was management’s fault for not having sufficient delivery drivers. I kind of regret letting off a bit of steam towards her, it wasn’t her fault and if she reads this I am very very sorry for the way in which I acted. Because of the service received by the delivery driver, I have rated quality of service as 4 stars on Just Eat. Unless desperate, I don’t think I will be using this take-away service ever again and would warn others against it. Guess you get what you pay for….others in Rugby such as Jasmine Court are much much better.

I used to use this takeaway often and enjoyed the food. However, I don't know if it was due to the resession or just cutting back but the chicken peanut satay began to look more like it came from a pigeon, size wise. But the final straw came when I witnessed the male front of house take a phone call from a customer. It was obvious from the conversation heard that an item of food was missing. The male obviously angered by this was very confrontational but agreed to send it out. Once he put the phone down he swore and called the customer a liar in front of everyone waiting for their food. I made a promise to myself never to return as customer service is something that should go hand in hand with good food.
