Arrived at this club yesterday 20th November with friends from Hawick before Scotland Japan game for some food (Breakfast) as the game kicked of at1 o'clock. Club busy with people looking for food and was told food does not start till 12 o'clock poor show broughmuir.

Great place to enjoy a coffee or beer and a snack while waiting around for your son or daughter to finish football, hockey or rugby training! In my case twice a week rugby training for the mighty Boroughmuir RFC U16s. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, free wifi, sky sports and relaxed atmosphere - just about everything you could want from a sports clubhouse really. Perfect.

The Canalside is a great place to come during the day for for a coffee, snack or a sit down meal. At weekends there is usually a rugby game to watch and the place becomes a lot busier with a really friendly atmosphere. Boroughmuir is a welcoming club and are in the top division so it's a great standard of rugby. They are also the Scottish Cup holders! Helpful staff too.

37-39 Leven StreetVine aquí por unas copas para celebrar el cumpleaños de un amigo, terminó quedándose a cenar! El personal era tan encantador y atento, Tristán que cuidó de nuestra mesa era una estrella. Tuvimos algunos de los bocadillos grandes y ensaladeras, todos pensaron que el suyo era delicioso, volveremos. Los cócteles merecen una mención también, nos abrimos camino a través de una buena parte del menú durante la noche y tuvimos nada más que comentarios más positivos - volveremos seguro!

39-41 Broughton StreetI wanted to love this Indian street food spot, it had a cool vibe, smelled great, laid back and great soundtrack. But the food was tasteless. First, while they promote the Bombay sapphire gin, they simply won’t make their also advertised gin martini out of it, even for an up-charge. I rolled and took their version which was a citrusy lime affair, when everyone who matters knows gin martinis are meant to be served dirty and with olives. Maybe that’s the New York girl in me, but moving on, the Papadam had not an ounce of cumin, seed or powder, just puffed dough. Similarly, the Haka noodles were mush and honestly tasted like nothing except maybe vinegar. Maybe the mains are better, but I’d try your luck elsewhere. My 3 purchased items are all going back mostly untouched.

St Giles' Cathedral, High StreetNice little cafe just opposite the cathedral on the royal mile. A tad pricey but a nice little find for a quick coffee and bite to eat whilst exploring.
