Never bought food only a coffee and doggie ice cream. Service just OK, I had walking sticks but wasn't helped to take my coffee out. Needs to cheer up too.

Wonderful, hidden cafe with very good, sensible sized meals, at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly, the cafe is always clean and spacious, and there al is a nice decking area outside for those who prefer dining al fresco. We had ham, chips and eggs and quiche, chips and coleslaw; both of which were delicious. There's a good choice of drinks from the fridge and delicious looking cakes for dessert. Deservedly recommended.

Very nice place to eat either inside or there's two beautiful seating areas outside, one by the canal and the other at the side of the restaurant. Really amazing extensive menu to choose from! The restaurant was quite busy but food came out really quickly. Will certainly visit again if around that area.

We had breakfast n was nice came quicker than I would expect a fresh breakfast being cooked, it was like having from a buffet as the fried eggs were hard like they had been put under a heat lamp for quite sometime For price u would expect cutlery to b brought to table along with condiments. Staff ok owner saw me walking my dog n never waited for us to cross the entrance to the place n was driving faster than should on that rd. I ordered a sausage just a single sausage cost £1.50 for my dog which they forgot so I had to go n remind them n I was handed a very hot sausage in a piece of foil so that proves all is pre made n under heat lamps but there is a limit of time for food to b served once cooked n kept under heat lamps n I should have known better when my dog refused to eat it n she loves sausages. Teaspoons stained n myself n my partner were on the loo straight after n still suffering with bad tummy n im still throwing up. Shame cos good location. Morrisons delivering food while customers sat eating n I saw 11 ppl in total. I am sorry to post this but I tried calling but no Ansa n when I tried later just b4 this post the place was shut. For a cafe too expensive cost £22.50 for 2 small breakfasts n tea for 2 plus a sausage n all items r not sourced from local producers ie proper butchers cos at that price it’s what u would expect. Obviously from Morrisons not that there’s anything wrong with Morrisons food but I will Say again way too expensive u could buy a whole packet of sausages for £2 from there. I have a served food in the past n we get from a very reputable butchers n when we get cheese we get artisan n will travel to places like Cheddar Gorge. No reason not to get good produce. Ate at around 10/11 n still throwing up.

We are local to the cafe and so frequent visitors to the cafe. It’s very good cafe style food and a lovely location to meet up with friends (sometimes business colleagues too). Excellent for breakfast - tasty and good size portions. Lovely cakes and scrumptious scones. The staff are cheerful and friendly. Chef shared his recipe for the delicious quiche and despite practice, we haven’t equalled the taste with our home baking. Then there’s the lovely walk along side the canal to follow. Doggies can sit in the outside area. Indoors for winter, dogs stay at home, but an extra special Terrys Orange hot chocolate with all the trimmings is a winter special must have.

I have visited many times for breakfast or lunch and have never been disappointed or had anything but a good experience. Food is always excellent from the menu and there are usually specials to choose from too. Service is great, everyone is friendly and efficient. A little gem of a place in a nice location.

We have eaten at all the other venues locally (the swan and the laughing duck) but wanted to try this place. Sadly it’s not a patch on the others. Atmosphere is dark and dated, chairs are terribly uncomfortable and the food is a caff not a café. Cheap enough and service was OK but the experience and food was not a treat.

I had two scampi and chips, first of all the peas were hard and chewy. The chips were tasteless and scampi was pale and there was hardly of it! £16.95 that cost and you should be shamed! The attitude was shocking and rude AVOID THIS CAFE

Been here a few times now, cafe is the last one along the canalside, but worth going past the other eateries for. Food quality is excellent, as is service, and plenty of good indoor/outdoor seating. Also love places like this that serve breakfasts all day (as opposed to dictating when you are allowed to have one!). Can't fault this place one bit.

We’ve been here a few times since discovering Fradley Park and this is a real gem of a place to eat and relax. My wife is vegan and gluten free so she’s limited to jacket potatoes and anything vegan so she’s always happy to eat here. They also have a lady that makes vegan cakes for them and the are delightful - worth a visit for a day put or if passing by. The veggie options are perfect and they have a great selection of cakes, drinks and food. The staff are friendly and professional so no complaints from us.

Food always of a high standard and well presented.Though prices have increased everywhere this place remains very very reasonable. Their fruit scones are EASILY the best for miles around.Another good point is that I don’t have to ask for the music to be turned down as I have to do in many places( where I usually don’t return). Give it a try- you’ll not regret it

Mens toilets needed a good clean. Chap at till was nice and friendly… Ordered large English, small vegetarian and a sausage sandwich. Sausages were disgusting, some cheap (perhaps frozen) thing that was deep fried by look of it, eggs were dripping in oil. I didn’t eat any of the full English, they even got the toast order wrong, why bother asking if was white or brown if you are going to give random. Sausage sandwich had the nasty sausages and my 8 year old would not eat them…. Veg breakfast looked slightly better but was mostly left. Dead bird under son’s chair… At £30 with 2 coffees and a flavoured milk it is perhaps the worst experience I have had in 20 years or eating out.. 95% or ‘food’ left. Table was dirty too, cleaned with a rag that was obviously overdue a wash..

So average… food was made fresh but we had a chicken wrap and bacon and chicken bap with chips and all was just ok. Classic freezer food vibes. To add to it, the place was deserted but the man serving us still expected us to order at the till, get our own cutlery and sauces and when I tidied up at the end and brought all the stuff back over to try and be polite, got told to put it elsewhere. Not like they were busy… just seemed like the customer service element was lacking, especially at £24 for a mediocre lunch. Won’t bother again.

We live in Lichfield and never knew this outstanding little place existed, even though it has been here for 2 years in December. Tapas is outstanding. Been back twice in a week now we have discoved it! Recommend, nachos with beef, chacuterie board, pig cheek and churros. If you want to try something different give it a go. Its located quite inconspicously by the uniform shop , opposite Greek chef.

Very attractive pub with narrow boat motifs throughout, nice to sit outside by the canal on a fine day.
