Met up with a friend got coffee and cake at Canakin. Managed to get a table as busy on Saturdays and have to say that coffee was good, cake was very good but the macarons are superb! My new monthly treat !

Best coffee in Reigate by a long way. Always friendly and lovely staff. Really relaxing place to sit if you want to sit in. Also can highly recommend the stunning cinnamon buns :)

Exceptional baking, excellent coffee. The cinnamon buns and natas are my family’s favourites, but the selection is amazing for such a tiny shop, and I love that they do tiny little cakes and macaroons for those trying to be good.

Lovely little coffee shop with wonderful friendly staff. All the cakes looked amazing. I chose a pastel de nata. I think it was the best one I have ever tasted. Thank you

I have been ordering birthday cake from Canakin for over a year and I’m like I have got to leave a review. Ordered a birthday cake for my mum’s 59th birthday. It was a chocolate and pistachio cake with Italian buttercream icing. Firstly the cake was beautiful. It tasted absolutely deliciously. Very moist and light. Chocolatey and not too sweet. Just the right sweetness. Now my mum is picky. Doesn’t like sugar but when it comes to cake or that craving comes, it’s canakin. My 19month old daughter saw the cake and went wow. Michele who bakes the cake is lovely and amazing to communicate with. Canakin keep up the amazing work. What I wished was that canakin was around when I was in college.

What a fabulous find! I took my elderly parents here (Dad’s in a wheelchair) and my kids for lunch. Rui came straight out to help Dad out of his wheelchair and up the 2 steps and to his table. Mum and I went in to choose food and he showed us round and told us all about all the Portuguese food and bakes etc he makes on site. Everyone ordered different toasties which they said were delicious. I am GF & DF so ordered a prawn mayo salad which Rui did Portuguese style chopped finely with a lovely dressing. We sat outside on the covered area watching the world go by and felt like we were on holiday! We will definitely be back!

I wish I knew about this place before. I be been a few times and had different menu options. I’ve yet to be disappointed and will adopt it as my go to lunch spot. The Reigate Scotch egg breakfast was authentic , good ingredients and flavourful. The coffee ( cuppa chino) could be in bigger mugs to dilute the strength of the coffee , but otherwise good .

Referring to the review by S & A about hostile behaviour by bar staff. I am that member of staff and co-owner of the Bell. I remember you well. I approached you as soon as you came through the door to inform you about our over 18s policy before you got settled, thus saving you the aggro of settling in and then having to leave. I informed you perfectly politely of our policy and nothing further was said. Unfortunately you seem to have transformed into a keyboard warrior and are throwing your toys because you didn't get your own way. Now that's loser behaviour.
