Camino in Islington

We booked for 5.30 as we had a theatre booking and wanted to leave enough time to enjoy the meal. Service was very prompt our waitress was very polite and helpful. We had drinks initially and then each chose 2 tapas to share. We were a party of four. So eight between us. This proved to be plenty and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The food came hot and promptly. We finished dining and had plenty of time to get to the theatre.

Vicki served us today and was really fabulous. This is my 3rd visit because the venue is great and close to Kings Cross, food always amazing.

Food was fine and service was pleasant. However, fewer GF options than I expected. I emailed ahead and was informed most things could be made GF however the waiter didn’t seem too sure about many of the options.

Aaron was a wonderful host. He made us feel welcome, explained the menu and reminded us of the happy hour. Really attentive and friendly. Would recommend.

Compared to the last time I had it, probably several years ago, it wasn't that great. I was a little disappointed.

Karthik was so great, efficient attentive service with a smile and dishes were great, when we said we really enjoyed everything except the the gambas without making it tricky she kindly offered to take them off the bill.

A reasonable place for tapas, nice environment and atmosphere. The food was mixed with some dishes very tasty and others disappointing. Most were unnecessarily salty. Service was also disappointing. While the staff were nice enough, it was very clear they would rather be anywhere else and their knowledge of what drinks and dishes they were serving was patchy. In short, there are better places to go for tapas.

We visited with friends when in search for nibbles and drinks. The venue is massive, offering lively bar area, large but intimate restaurant, and an outside terrace. The service was friendly, professional, and quick. We had a handful of different tapas from charcuterie selection with bread, to seafood dishes. We did have to order additional portion of Arroz Negro since it was just too good. Croquetas were made to perfection. I've finished the evening off with my favourite café bombón. Lavatories were well looked after throughout the evening. We had a great time, and I'm delighted to now be aware of such a versatile venue for when I'm in the area again.

I had an incredible dining experience at Camino King’s Cross, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing waitress Nayana! From the moment we arrived, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She had excellent knowledge of the menu, offering great recommendations and making sure our drinks were always topped up. Despite the restaurant being busy, she was always checking in on us at just the right moments, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Her friendly personality and professional service made our evening even more enjoyable. If you’re dining at Camino King’s Cross, I hope you get nayana as your server—she truly made our experience special. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back!

First visit to this restaurant, which is tucked away in a small alleyway, just off Kings Cross Road. Large, bright open plan restaurant which was quite busy for a Monday lunchtime. Wide selection of tapas dishes on the menu. The waiter was really helpful and advised us on the appropriate number of dishes to order. We chose six different dishes, including pan con Tomate, deep fried prawns in batter, Mushroom & butter beans Verde, tortilla de patatas. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Overall, a good Spanish style restaurant, offering a variety of dishes, that is reasonably priced

Food was great and came out quite quickly! We had all the usual Spanish tapas food, and our stomachs were full! The atmosphere is a lively one. It was busy on a Saturday night but there was good music and the service was good. The restaurant itself is in a great location, and recommended if you want a quick bite to eat with friends before travelling elsewhere.

Aaron took care of us tonight, was super nice and attentive, always on hand when we needed him! Would definitely recommend. Thanks Aaron!

The venue is amazing and the location really convenient because it's really close to kings cross station. The staff were gentle and polite. Giada, Harle, Glaus and the other colleagues assisted me choosing the best things they had on the menu. They were great hosts and they made me feel super comfortable.

We ate at Camino's to celebrate a family birthday. Had a lovely evening, with fantastic food (the padron peppers are fabulous), nice wine and very friendly service. Will definitely come again :)

We popped in to Camino for a few drinks. A lady called Vicky served us and she was so helpful. She helped us to choose which rose we might like to drink, allowed us taste the wine before buying and told us about the happy hour. The atmosphere was good and we would definitely go again.

Fantastic atmosphere and beautiful food. The staff were so attentive especially our server Salvitore. He was top drawer all round. I would highly recommend Camino as I have been a few times over the years and have always had such a great experience.

A busy Valentine's, should of had more staff, 30 min delay between orders didn't receive all the food we ordered although all the plate we had were amazing. Will come again just not on Valentine's etc

I would give this 4.7 if I could. Every dish we had was great, except for the calamari. Hard to explain, but it was cooked right in that it wasn't rubbery, but the batter was either cooked too long or they need to change the oil, but usually it should be light and golden, not dark and a bit too greasy. That said, I really really enjoyed the food... I recommend the prawns and the charcuterie (amazing - so authentic). The rosé I had was delicious, and we got a free glass of prosecco as it was Valentine's Day. Service was great.

Very good place, good atmosphere Food: Spanish tapas, none like in Spain, but....the Potato Tortilla is VERY CLOSE... The perfect point! EXCELLENT service and staff from the security guard to Giada, they treated us impeccably and the house invited us 3 plates of tapas just for a good attitude!

Great food but x2 of our dishes never arrived (Patatas Bravas), we had to prompt the waitress for them. She assured us they were on the way, neither arrived, she came back later asking whether we ever received them - surely this should have been a priority for the server assigned to our table? We had to ask for the dishes to be taken off the bill - not sure if they would have been removed otherwise. Lacklustre handling of the situation. Fine for an evening but won’t return.

Excellent bottomless brunch. Lovely, attentive staff that kept our glasses very topped up! There were 5 of us and we shared all of the food- each dish was delicious!

Service was initially slow as staff weren’t concentrating on tables being ready to order. As soon as order went in food arrived and to the high quality expected.

We had one of the nicest meals we've had in a long time here. Beautiful food and good range of dishes on the menu. We loved the opportunity to try some things we hadn't had before alongside more common tapas favourites - and a cheesecake to die for for dessert! 100% recommended. We will definitely be returning.

We stay very well, Bianca is very kindness and professional.

Arrived an hour early but were quickly seated . We ordered crab, patatas bravado, ox cheek , sea bass, prawn njaho (sorry can’t remember the spelling). Enjoyed the first four- ox cheek was meltingly tender. Not as keen on the prawn njudo - like paella but with spaghetti bits instead of rice - which was fine but didn’t impress like the other dishes. Dessert was the basque cheesecake, choc cigar and truffles. All the food was cooked and served quickly. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful- especially Bianca our waitress. Felt the wine was a tad overpriced. Nice atmosphere. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our meal and expect to eat here again on our next trip to London.

We had an amazing lunch. Gorgeous padron peppers, and the roasted aubergine was exquisite. We were looked after brilliantly by Bianca, she was attentive, knowledgable and friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

We hosted a Spanish Burns Night with Richard and his amazing team (Vicky and Nacho who were soooo great) in their private room at Camino Kings Cross. The food was amazing, the wine was plentiful and the Morcilla that stunt-doubled for the haggis was outbid this world, and Vicky’s help in making everything run smoothly was just brilliant. We’ll be going back again, and ex PM boring their other venues across London - I really cannot thank nor recommend them highly enough.

Top service, the restaurant staff and manager looked after me as I have a lemon allergy from start to finish. They made me feel comfortable and I didn''t miss out on anything, that my friends had. Would recommend coming, the chorizo, omelette and pepper dishes were divine.

Always a lovely place to eat ! . The tortilla is always super as are the garlic prawns . I did notice that the portion sizes appear to be smaller than usual so I feel it’s less value for money than it used to be overall

Went out for my fiancée’s birthday and had a very lovely dinner. We were served by Salvatore and he was so kind, you must try the talos de chorizo!

Aaron hosted 11 of us on a busy night with warmth and attentive service. Everything came perfectly on time and we felt taken care of throughout the night. It’s not easy with so many of us!! All the food was great with distinct flavours (it can get samey when you order lots of tapas). Would recommend and come again!
