Decent bar, but was surprised and disappointed when the only beer on tap is a ”Spanish” beer brewed in Yorkshire.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this restaurant. I read other reviews about receipt mix-ups and was disappointed to experience the same issue; I was given the wrong bill twice. This seems to be a recurring problem, and it felt unprofessional. I chose this restaurant specifically because of its central seating area under the beautiful, lighted ceiling, only to be told upon arrival that this section was closed. Instead, we were placed in a less desirable area on the edge of the restaurant, which felt like a downgrade. The food itself was another letdown. I ordered the steak, which was dry and mediocre at best. The salad was perhaps the worst part: it was literally just a piece of lettuce with a drizzle of sauce on top. For around £6, I expected at least a basic salad, not something that looked hastily put together. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed by both the food quality and the service. For the prices charged, I expected far better. I won’t be returning, and I’d suggest others look elsewhere for a better experience.

Saturday lunch. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the Ox Cheek, roast Celeriac and the arroz negra.

Had dinner here with my son. Great tapas. Amazing flavours. Tables very close together but we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Went early on a Friday night with a toddler in tow. Restaurant was nice. Front of house staff were great but the food... Firstly, almost all of it came out almost as soon as we'd ordered it, and it wasn't hot. Clearly it had been pre-prepared and had sat around. It was mostly pretty under seasoned and bland. The portions were small for the price. Won't be back.

So, we popped in for the happy hour and some Tapas, boy was it an overall disappointment. We came because the sign out side displayed very cheap dink prices during happy hour. We were in fact charged full price for every drink and the tapas were insanely over priced. I’m one who will pay more for an awesome meal….. this was not awesome. Mediocre at best, pretty subpar compared to other tapas we’ve had (cheaper tapas). The staffs vibe was just not good. Over all very disappointing for a £70 meal. Don’t recommend, definitely don’t fall victim to the happy hour sigh out front like us.

We were staying just around the corner and called here for dinner. The restaurant was very busy and as we had not booked we were offered either a seat at the bar or in one of the other small rooms, which is what we chose. The tapas was delicious and the service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly. Would definitely return

Salvador was great he was extremely attentive. Food was great we loved the Calamares and solomillo Iberico. Overall a great experience!

No-one tells you when you book an early table that half-price cocktails in happy hour cannot be given. We felt sort of tricked as that info wasn't available at the booking stage and we didn't find out until we were already there. Some of us spent more than we had budgeted and others went without. It put a bit of a damper on what might have otherwise been a more lively evening

Very good quality of food and excellent service. Salvatore paid attention to us and he was very attentive, his menu recommendation was very accurate. I recommend the suckling pig, fidebua and the croquettes

The food was served a bit too fast but taste wise I was very very happy with it. My favorite was the risotto. All friendly staff 👍🏻

We were a group of 6, Salvatore was very friendly and attentive. The girl at the deli, Rosa, also welcomed us with a smile and recommended very good dishes. We will definitely repeat.

We attend an engagement party at the venue over the weekend and was very impressed by the surroundings, planning, attention to detail.. but mostly their willingness to make sure everything was as we'd asked for and expected. The management and staff are excellent.

We love Camino for our special occasions and treats. Each time we go it's like a mini Spanish holiday. This time was no exception. The food and wine were great, and the service prompt and friendly.

The quality of food has diminished. Staff were pleasant, but we regretted bringing friends here, on our recommendation. Music was too loud, so conversation was difficult. I think this is the end of our long love affair with Camino.

Had a lovely night at Camino Kings Cross. My group ordered the 1kg rib eye steak to share, with a range of other tapas and some drinks. Food was gorgeous 🥰 Vicky, our server, was excellent with suggestions and making sure we had what we needed. Super friendly and helpful. I always liked Camino for drinks, but the food is excellent too

Had a great time at Camino. Our server Vicky was so kind and attentive. We order the bone in ribeye and we’re so full by the end. Such a delicious and tasteful piece of meat. Will be going back soon!!!

The food and service were pretty good but we felt a little duped by the fact that it isn't made clear that you cannot have happy hour cocktails in the main restaurant. As such my party and I either spent more than we intended or did not have a second cocktail as they might have liked. It was a bit of a disappointment

Salvatore is a wonderful host. The food was great. The sangria a nice hue of red.

Slightly long wait for my order to be taken, but thereafter the service was attentive but not intrusive - spot on in fact. I just had some tapas, could have been a bit hotter, but all dishes were tasty and plentiful - I only had three, but didn’t have room for dessert as I’d planned. Enjoyed a pint of Puerto Bello pale ale with it. A new beer for me, thoroughly enjoyed that too. I’ll definitely be back.

Food was delicious. Table waiting staff better than meet and greet, who lacked professionalism and had an attitude. Empty room but wanted to put us by the toilets! Placed lacked a positive energy and attentiveness diners.

Really good food, fast and attentive service and lovely ambience. The restaurant area much better for dining and catching up with friends. The bar area better for drinks / standing as more noisy and cold, not good for eating, unless in the summer perhaps. Prices are high that's the only negative.

I visited with 3 friends just over a week ago. We had a selection of Tapas, including calamares, patatas bravas and stuffed peppers. All were attractively presented and very tasty. Lucia greeted us. Cheerful and welcoming! Shirley served us. She was friendly, helpful with choices and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

We ordered a round of tapas to start with. But we had to check if the gambas was comings the waiter checked and confirmed that they didn’t put it down. So they went and cooked it for it. Then later on we realised the padron peppers we ordered didn’t arrive either. Again. The waiter missed this out. We then ordered the £85 rib eye. Asked for it medium rare. It came medium well. We told the waiter nicely that this is wrong as we asked for medium rare. The manager came to our table to say the waiter mis heard and put it down as medium well done. We cancelled, asked for the bill, paid and left. Terrible terrible. Will never go again. Embarrassing for me as I introduced and suggested this resto to my friends. We did get 15% off without asking for this, which softened the experiences of the blow. But absolutely terrible experience.

My first visit to the KX restaurant, and I shall return. A fabulous area outside, as well as in, once I could find the place, with all the building works on the street. As a vegetarian, there was plenty of choice and the dishes were very good indeed.

Stupidly small portions and overpriced. Tapas is sharing but portions weren't even enough to feed one. Chicken was the size of my thumb and we're trying to cut it into three. Spent £200 and left hungry. Service was also very slow and they weren't busy, had to flag them down for drinks, waited a long time for plates to get cleared. We we're the only ones sat outside and staff came and shut the doors on us and we're sat there with a table of empty plates and empty glasses, so had to flag them down to pay the bill. Save your money and go somewhere else

Overall I'm happy with my experience at the restaurant. The food came promptly, and the venue was clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The dishes were too spicy for a traditional Spanish restaurant. The paella had 3 ingredients and was offered with noodles instead of rice (unheard of). The octopus had so much paprika that obscured every other taste and the potatoes that accompanied it did not seem to have been properly cooked. The patatas bravas would be best suited to an Indian/Pakistani cuisine as they were too spicy. We paid almost £60 for 4 tapas and two coca colas. The service was great and quick. I don't consider this to be a traditional Spanish restaurant offering traditional Spanish tapas (which is what I expected) and for this reason I will probably not go back there again.

Great place to come if you want to escape the hecticness of the Kings Cross area or use as a meeting point with friends. Surprisingly spacious bar and restaurant areas. Fast and attentive service. Portion sizes are a little small, especially bearing in mind the prices.

I remember Camino from several years back as a pretty standard tapas chain operation - competent but no frills. But last night: wow! Every one of the 6 dishes ordered was spot on. On this evidence, Camino can give just about any London tapas house a run for its money.

Great London tapas spot, loads to choose from including some excellent vegan options which meant everyone in our party could enjoy a variety of dishes. The pricing felt very reasonable for such good portions and quality of food with both classic and seasonal options. Hard to pick a favourite dish but the prawns, the tortilla and the padron peppers were absolutely outstanding. I have a little group that get together for tapas every few months and we usually like to explore our options but there’s already talk of heading back to Camino as we enjoyed our food and the vibe there so much!

Excellent in every way except for the gentleman on the table next to us, who was very very loud with no volume control. We finished our meal quickly which was a shame.

Lovely beer garden away from all the bustle, the interior is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Staff are friendly, I didn’t try the food. They might be focusing on the Spanish theme so this might not be their fault, but I’d prefer to see some decent English and Belgian’s if Madri is the best beer the Spanish produce. But that’s London, and decent craft on keg seems impossible to find here. It’s hard to compete with Yorkshire 😊

The staff was nice, but the dishes were disappointing, we ordered 6 of different plates and only one was great (pardon peppers), expected much more from the place.

Really disappointed with our visit to Camino yesterday. We booked a table for 3 adults at 3pm. On arrival it appeared to be relatively quiet. We sat down waited about 5 minutes for the waitress to take our order so all looking good. Ordered sangria and 12 tapas dishes which then all proceeded to be delivered to our table at once!!!! We have been to Camino on numerous occasions and food has always been brought out at spaced intervals. The waitress then came to the table to advise that the kitchen was closing and did we want to order more or any deserts… how were we supposed to know if we wanted more or deserts when we were still eating?? We’d only been in there about 25/30 minutes. Slightly miffed by the situation we finished our food paid the bill then moved to the Camino bar next door for a drink. We had planned on staying in the restaurant until about 4.45 (eating and drinking) before getting our train home but they were setting up the tables around us and it started to feel like we’d outstayed our visit. I’ve checked the website this morning and at no point does it say that the kitchen closes during the day. This place used to be our go to either before or after a football match but unless they sort the kitchen issue I wouldn’t bother which is a shame cause the tapas are really good hence the 3 star rating and not 1 star.

We had a 8 person business dinner here. The food was great. Lots of varieties for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The steak was cut up in slices so it’s easy to share. The croquetas and squid ink rice were amazing. The black coconut was also quite delicious. Our server Karthika was very welcoming and always made sure to tend to our needs. Would recommend.

While the atmosphere can be noisy—especially if seated near lively groups—the fantastic food and service make it worth a visit. Highly recommended!

We booked a table for three at 8 pm on 26th August to celebrate a friend's birthday. My husband and I arrived on time, and the birthday girl joined us at 8:20 pm. We ordered two beers, puffed pork crackers, and a Trio of cured chorizos, which felt like something you’d pick up from ASDA—not what we expected. At 8:30 pm, the waiter informed us they were closing early as they did not get too many bookings and asked us to place our final orders. We quickly ordered a bottle of red wine, creamy croquetas, and prawns. However, the waiter repeatedly came back, rushing us if we had anything more to order. It was incredibly frustrating, and we had to gulp down our wine and leave in a hurry. This was our first and last visit. We had to take the birthday cake to another place. What’s the point of booking online if the restaurant doesn't notify customers about early closure? A terrible experience. The food is not that good too.

An excellent dinner for two, enlivened by a complimentary bottle of Cava for my birthday! A most generous offer and I am duly grateful.

As a Spanish native I LOVE this, we had the bottomless brunch and oh my god the value for money is insane lots of tasty drinks but the food is even better! The service is incredible, Shirley our server was immaculate gave us the best recommendations and service. Would recommend to anyone that loves good food and drinks

Food generally excellent, especially the tortilla, pan con tomato, mushroom and butterbean, and prawns. We would not repeat the octopus or Iberico croquettes which had too much potato. Extensive wine selection with several sizes and reasonable prices. Service very good if overstretched when busy. Ambience good becoming a little noisy.

The restaurant was nice. It’s far from being a great place you want to visit every week but overall it’s good. Some of the dishes like croquettes with jamon and the steak were great. Others were good: octopus with potato, chorizo plate, shrimps in oil etc. The portions were pretty small though

Use to frequent Camino well before covid and loved it. Due to circumstances have not been for a while so looked forward to a recent dinner and was not disappointed. Excellent food - delicious, well prepared and good quality. Service great too with a variety of eating spaces. Good to be back there.

Me and my friends visited Camino a few days back. It was our first visit and we were new to tapas style food. We had a great time there. Our waiter was Karthika, she was really amazing and looked after us very well. We didn’t knew what tapas was, she gave us a detailed explanation about the food and the menu, very knowledgeable. Amazing personality and very professional attitude. The restaurant ambiance was very nice and the food was amazing as well. We will highly recommend this place to people who are looking for good Spanish food.

I must have been here a hundred times, my relationship with Camino has outlasted most of my relationships 😁 Always fabulous food, if you haven’t tried it do! (No I don’t own it!)

All the dishes were just excellent quality, along with the wonderful Albariño wine. The food and service were really quite good, as ever. The cost is pretty of eating well, here, is getting quite high now but there’s no doubting the quality of anything.

Dropped in at short notice for a quick bite to eat and couple of pints. Really enjoyed the tapas, which came quickly and tasted lovely. The IPA was really nice too. Lovely spot just away from the hustle and bustle of King's Cross, with a nice little courtyard to sit in. Will come back to this Caminos again!

We went to Camino's King's Cross at 1700hrs and we were the first in. As there was nothing for them to do the waiting on staff were milling about amusing themselves. It was explained to us that the concept was tapas. By the time we were told this by three different people I think we got the message. So we expected just that. A slow leisurely meal with tapas plates being served one after another as it is done in Spain. The restaurant started to fill up quickly. We placed our order and explained we did not want all the dishes coming out together. Bring out two at most after we had finished the last plates. Told three different people this. So what do we get. Four dishes out virtually together. Told the waiter to hold fire until we had finished these. Started to eat, wanting to take our time. What next? Within two minutes a further two dishes. We gave up. How many times do you have to repeat what it is you want. So, we now have a table full. Food is starting to go cold. By the time we managed to get through it all we were eating cold food. Table of six adjacent to us. Exactly the same. All the food out straight away. Table that full of dishes the staff were putting food on the adjacent empty table. We acknowledge this is a very, very busy restaurant. However, this is not the tapas concept as we know it. I believe the owners are from Spain so they should know how the tapas concept works. In Spain, tapas is not rushed out en bloc so much so food is hanging around on the table going cold. If it can work in Spain it can work here. Stop your staff playing about amongst themselves and train them to listen to what your customers are requesting. As it is, it is just another english restaurant serving spanish style food, wanting to get people in and out as fast as possible. Not our understanding of the tapas concept.

I’m sorry to say, not a great experience. A June booking for a July table, 6 people to celebrate a 70th birthday didn’t start well. Our table not ready, empty restaurant at 1pm and they had to push two tables together.. we had booked the “bottomless brunch” but after deciding to start with a bottle of Cava, we were told that there wasn’t any sangria available!!! “Didn’t have the kit”?!! We were offered white sangria but with a couple of the party who didn’t drink white wine, this wasn’t an option & we didn’t want to drink just the Cava(nobody drunk beer)It wasn’t what we had booked! We decided to not do the fixed brunch experience & chose the main menu so that we could choose our drinks. Our waiter, who did not have great customer service skills, no smiles or interaction, told us that we would then be charged nearly £40 for the bottle of cava!! The food we ordered was lovely. The party agreed that their choices were delicious. At no point during our meal did anyone acknowledge that we were celebrating a birthday although they asked on my booking if we were celebrating or any special request. Not even a candle in the birthday girls icecream?!! Why ask if not acknowledged?? On receipt of the bill I did challenge the fact that we didn’t get the “experience” that we booked, they were unable to offer what we had booked and at no point did the restaurant email of message me that there wouldn’t be any sangria. The waiter managed to get me a discount which didn’t even cover the cost of the Cava. Overall, no ambience, no smiles or great customer service, food good but due to the lack of sangria which I find strange in a Spanish restaurant, and a very poor experience to what should have been a lovely birthday meal, we will not go back to Camino at Kings Cross.

I recently visited Camino Kings Cross for lunch, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service I received from our Waitress was notably poor. She did not explain the menu or offer any guidance, and her attitude was quite rude. It felt like she was disengaged and uninterested in providing a good customer experience. Additionally, the behaviour of the managers was equally disappointing. They were dressed inappropriately and spent more time chatting to staff and being on their phones rather than assisting customers. This lack of professionalism contributed to a very frustrating dining experience. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as improvements in both service and management would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

We went for a family dinner and the food was delicious, specially the croquetas. The service was 10/10.

Food is consistently outstanding at Camino. We tried lots of new dishes and nothing failed to disappoint. Definitely my favourite ‘local’ restaurant. I can’t remember the name of our waiter, but he was wonderful! Very attentive, patient and the most wonderful demeanour. Thank you :-)
