Can't make tea. First try they put milk in without asking. Second try I got warm water and a tea bag. Barely drinkable after much poking. One to avoid.

Stopped for 2 coffees, I couldn't work out where the door was to get in and another customer told me I would get served near the ice cream counter. The man who served me was rude/arrogant, shouting across the shop to me. He gave me a buzzer and told me to sit down. I didn't, and he shouted across the shop again, madam can you sit down. I said I don't want to sit down and went to stand near the river while I waited. I certainly won't be going back there again, what a horrible place

We have been regular clients to this cafe since it changed hands, then the coffee and service was excellent, but since lockdown they have stopped putting tables and chairs out, and each time we visit the quality of service and product has gone down, today 27.08.22 was an all time low, ordered a flat white and Mocha, the flat white was just passable, the Mocha was a Latte, when I complained all that happened was a spoon of chocolate powder in the Latte, a Mocha is not a Latte with chocolate, we will find a new venue for our Saltburn brews.

We called here for coffee and a scone. We choose "posh"scones and had to discard them as they were far from fresh. Very disappointing because we used to call here when the previous owner had it and always enjoyed the cakes. Lack of proper seats om the patio area is another no-no for us.

We had just spent £75 in Tomahawk next door. Kids spotted the waffle sticks. Another £10 then they saw the bracelets and ankle bracelets. Another £20!!! Of course I could say no but it was our last day. Kids enjoyed the waffle. Wasn’t bad for £5 and they loved their jewellery. A nice little shop.

At least the place was open, but I had the misfortune to opt for the brownie cake which was almost tasteless apart from the slight hint of raspberry, with a consistency a bit like congealed fudge with a slight dry crust on top. Service was fine. Despite being pretty hungry from my walk over the cliffs from Skinningrove I was sorely tempted to bin this 'cake'/sludge and usually Brownies are a favourite of mine.

Stopped by for an ice cream on a recent trip to Saltburn-by-the-sea. My mum was looking for somewhere to purchase a face mask and asked in the shop. They said that they did not sell them but had plenty so gave my mum one to use. We also purchase ice creams and although a wee bit pricey they wee the best ice cream I’ve tasted in a long time. Lots of choice of flavours and cone types and the staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely be back for another one 😊

Never been to the area before but had to collect ebay purchase nearby. Went along coast rd and saw a very busy ice cream place with big line of customers. As we were deciding to go back for some cones we saw this other place with no queue. Stopped and let wife out and she got two ice creams. They had no chocolate nor vanilla nor mint chock chip so settled for strawberry and rum raisin. The other option was bubblegum flavour yuk. It was awful. Tasted weird and seemed like something that had been standing for a long time. As we drove along the top road out of the town we found a suitable field and fed the wildlife with it. It didnt reach the threshold of poor. The queue at the other place should have told us where to buy the ice cream. Never again.!!!

I visited on Boxing Day. For a coffee, Hot Chocolate and waffle. The prices was £10.40 it should have been £8.80. So the board was wrong or a mistake was made. There was no queue and the cafe was quiet. The prices are a little high, but the quality is good. However, due to the rudimentary mistake and the amount of strong local competition, I likely won’t ever return. Such is free market competition.

Honestly this place makes the best brownies in the world, really soft and gooey with a salted caramel glaze- can't get enough of them! It's such a shame with the restrictions that the seating area is closed and the lovely paninis/crispy bacon buns are off- but they really seem to be doing the best they can under the current restrictions. You can still get coffees and ice creams- we've been stopping off regularly to support them during recent months and really look forward to the day they can open properly again. For the time being though, for a range of smoothies and actual decent coffee they're by far the best on the front.

We didn’t actually get a coffee or anything eat as I am temporarily using s wheel chair after an operation. We had our dog with us, there was a table at the front, where dogs are allowed, unfortunately no chairs for the rest of my family. We headed for the back terrace not realising dogs weren’t allowed. The man behind the counter pointed this out. My husband said there wasn’t a table with chairs at the front, the man behind the counter said that was tough, he made no effort to sort out chairs or offer assistance or a solution. All I can say is, I was shocked by this response, I therefore can’t recommend this coffee shop.

Located right on the seafront, Camfields is ideally situated. There's plenty of seating, including a sheltered area at the back for more blustery days. We've never had anything bad here. Our favourites are the huge smoothies that we like to get for breakfast, but we can also recommend any of the lovely homemade cakes or delicious scones. There's also a wide selection of ice creams with some unusual flavours that we haven't seen elsewhere. (Our favourites are pomegranate and rose or elderflower) It does sometimes seen to close quite early in comparison to others on the front, which is a shame as we'd often like to stop off there on an evening beach walk, however it's a great place to stop off for breakfast or a light meal. A little gem on the beach front.

My wife and I popped into Canfields quite by accident for ice creams. Sat on the seaward side terrace it was a bit breezy and chilly so, on deciding to have Illy coffee my wife checked out the leeward side where it was less breezy and somewhat sunny, so we moved to that side to have that cup of delicious Illy coffee. It was there that I spotted the Camfields' Fruit Scones (resembling a Betty's Fat Rascal). I had to have one with my coffee. Double delicious! Like General Douglas MacArthur …. I shall return!!

I adore the coffee here and the fact that they have an outside patio area is great on a sunny day. However, I do find some of the senior staff a little miserable which when dealing with the public is not a plus! On arriving for a well deserved tasty coffee after our walk we were told that there was a 30 minute wait for coffee!! I was slightly perturbed by this but as not in a rush decided to stay. By the time my friend got to the front of the queue she was told they were not taking orders for 15 minutes. I decided to get a refund and and go to my favourite coffee shop in Saltburn which is Taste. Oh yes and they are very precious with there loyalty cards and stamps too. It clearly says on their cards that you receive a stamp for every hot drink you buy (photo attached), but they refused to stamp my card twice for a tea and a coffee stating that they only stamp for coffee! Really! How tight! They also refused to stamp my card after my free order! Next time they said!! Is he really that poor that he can't keep his regular customers happy? After all, isn't that what a loyalty card is for to keep people coming back? Anyway. I will continue to drink coffee there occasionally, ignoring the miserable faces and the tight attitude if the weather is nice. I live in hope that one day the attitude may change fingers crossed.

The building itself is small and so, being a crowded holiday, it was full to overflowing. There was a queue of about 10 at the bar, as there was at all the nearby establishments. The Al fresco seating however was more than adequate. As the views from the establishment are so good, most of the clientelle probably want to drink outside as we did. The drinks, scones etc. were of higher quality than the average coffee bar and the prices reflected that. The service was surprisingly prompt. A very pleasant stopover as we took a break from our walk down the prom. There is certainly step free access to the al fresco area which people with buggies were using, but not sure about getting inside.

Only half the sandwiches on the board were available which was dissapointing. The young lady serving was brilliant. doing her best to take orders, prepare food etc whilst the owner chuntered on his phone the whole time. All we expected was a cheery hello but it appeared too much for him. Reasonable prices and quality, however I did think the option of Brie, tomato, basil and pesto a funny combination, mozzarella would have been a better option as Brie with pesto just didn't taste right but perhaps that was just me. This Espresso Bar is situated at the end of the Valley Gardens and opposite the fine beach. We arrived quite early, just as they were putting out the chairs and tables - it was a wonderful hot, sunny morning. Each table was wiped down as they were put in position. All the staff were obviously hard working, and friendly. Our orders for coffee and buttered currant teacakes were soon brought to our table. There was ample butter, a serviette, and everything was piping hot with delicious coffee. Before we left, all the tables had been filled, and it was apparent that many customers were regulars - always a good sign. The only negative is that they don't have a toilet, and so had to walk down the street a little way to access a municipal toilet block, next to the nearby car park.

It's so difficult to find a cafe, restaurant coffee bar that produces excellent coffee but this does exactly that. So many times do we order a flat white and its either served in the wrong size cup too hot or served with milk on the side. The young lady that served and made our order was efficient and friendly and competent at delivering the correct drink. Well done it was such a pleasure visiting your place. Good coffee and tea with a magnificent view open throughout the year - weekend in winter - very busy in the tourist season - but a welcome respite at the quieter times - dog friendly

This is the best place in the world. Coffee is amazing as is everything else served in Camfield's Espresso bar. Excellent service and value for money. Boyd and his staff are always friendly. I visit everyday with my friend and my dogs. If you are coming to Saltburn you must visit this little gem !!!

I had some great ice cream here - Apple Pie and Custard flavour was great, strawberries and clotted cream was lovely too. My wife had a coffee and she said it was lovely, and the service was good. Sat outside in the sun.

always a decent coffee served with a mint choc.......handy for dog walkers to enjoy after a stroll on the beach. One negative , the owner is always miserable.....hello, good morning, have a nice day, dont expect this from him. I was given then wrong change some weeks ago, rang the owner from home and he agreed to refund £10 next time i was at Saltburn. I ordered 4 coffees instead of the cash today, mentioned the agreement.....he did not seem pleased, and I got the 3rd degree about the short change experience," I was expecting a sorry etc etc".......and was then charged 40p, as the bill for the coffee was £10.40. Will try elswhere next time.

Lovely little place to call into for coffee and cake after a long walk along salt burn beach. It sets you up for the up hill walk back to the car.

We walked in Valley Gardens every morning for our week's holiday with our dog and stopped here for coffee and cake most days when the weather was good. It can get a bit nippy as you are right on the seafront so it an get windy. Also very close to the road. But pleasant enough in the sunshine and they do provide blankets when it's a bit cooler. Good coffee and some interesting and tasty sweet treats.

had coffee and cake to watch the annual hill climb.its an ok place to sit on a nice day. a stupid topiary seems to block the views when sitting down, which seems pointless and annoying. i was given the wrong cake ordered.coffee was nice.its fine for an occasional visit at the seaside.

Really nice little place on the sea front with a nice little touch of blankets when it's a bit cold , great location for watching the world go by. But then back to reality it's just far too over priced and that's for everthing food and drinks . The staff are friendly enough but signals in the station square much cheaper for the same .

Always a warm welcome. Lovely views of the valley or the beach. May have to wait at busy times, but well worth the wait.

This is one of the best Cafe's I have come across! Located near the Car Park on the front, this unassuming place is a gem. Genuinely good coffee and huge tea cakes at reasonable prices. They also do a great range of Italian Gelato's plus authentic Italian beer in a frozen schooner. Toasties and sandwiches are also on the menu plus to my surprise, an Affogato (Ice Cream with Espresso). Delicious Italian goodies which are not often seen on a cafe menu. We really enjoyed it and will be back!

My favourite cafe in Saltburn. Tea, cakes, cocktails and beer. It's also dog friendly and has indoor and outdoor seating. What's not to like.

Asked for bacon sandwich. Bought as a takeout, was handed over all wrapped up and in a bag. This is what I opened when I got home. Neither looked or smelled like bacon. Green tinged. Went straight into the bin
