George is an institution in Camden. He had roasts his coffees and has an incredible loyal following. I would always buy my coffee here if lived nearby!

Found this shop by accident in 2019 and haven't stopped going back. George has taught me a few things about coffee that I never knew and is ever so helpful. I travel from Essex to Camden just to buy a couple of kilos of coffee at a time, and the coffee that I make out of the beans makes it a worthwhile journey. If you love coffee, excellent coffee, I mean, I would highly recommend this shop. You can only buy coffee beans here.

Normally I wouldn't review a coffee shop, but the guy behind the counter was really helpful, gave loads of good ideas of things to do. Coffee was good too

I have known this coffee shop since the 1980's when I lived locally for 10 years & have recently returned over-joyed the business is still going strong, unchanged. Its sole purpose is to sell coffee & I now willingly make the journey accepting there may be an odd occasion when it could be closed. Always worth visiting ! All the coffee beans I have tried make excellent coffee. They are roasted on site & the aroma is captivating.( All are good but the mountain beans are particularly good for a sweet and gentle drink and the continental beans for a strong cup of a high roast ).

Wir hatten einen doppelten Espresso und einen Iced Coffee. Beides war von sehr guter Qualität. Eine empfehlenswerte Alternative zu dem bekannten Filialisten.

Authentic coffee and amazing experience each time I buy coffee from the Delancey Street Coffee Shop. Since I discovered it, I have never gone anywhere else for my morning coffee.

The coffee may be ok but the service is appalling. Time and time again I have made the journey from Wembley to Camden purely to buy coffee only to find the shop shut. Sometimes there might be a note on the door "back in an hour" with no indication as to when the note was placed. Or today for instance when I arrived at the shop at 11.00 to find a note on the door "Open at 12.30". The gentleman was inside roasting coffee but refused to open the door (this is the 2nd time this has happened). He made some vague hand signal which I interpreted as "get lost". Well I for one will not be going back - I've had it with Camden Coffee Shop. If you happen to be in the area, by all means drop by and see if he can be bothered to serve you but be warned - don't make a journey especially, more than likely you will come away disappointed. I found another very nice coffee shop in the location (Buna Oromia Coffee) who has delicious coffee and is only too happy to sever his customers; I shall be going there in the future.

I have been living in London since 1987 and have tried many coffee shops but I can say that this place has the best coffee in London. I have been going here since 1999. Monmouth, Darlingtons, Algerian Coffe store (closed down), Jack Coleman etc don't come close to the taste, quality and the service.

In trendy Camden there is small shop on Delancey Street that has a gnome-like octogenarian working to roast and grind arguably the best coffee in London. You'll smell it before you see it. Knowledgeable and friendly George is an icon; he has over forty years experience and his blended coffee is world famous. He has about half a dozen types of coffee beans from around the world. He only takes cash (but there are plenty of ATMs on the High Street); it is NOT a cafeteria but the shop is next to one. Long may it thrive- please keep George in business and buy 2 or more 250G bags of different coffee beans!

You won't get a more authentic, more honest, better tasting coffee bean anywhere. Every bean is lovingly roasted and sold on the premises by the owner. Try the Costa Rica - it's delicious. And all of this for under £9 for 500g. Go there and sample a taste of coffee history. NB. He doesn't serve coffee on the premises.

I am an American living in the Netherlands. For many years I thought the coffee at Fairway in NYC was the best - and it is really good, with about 30 different varieties - well worth a visit. That said, George's is much much better!...
