Really lovely staff who can't do enough to help. I have only bought cake and drinks, but i haven't heard anything negative about this cafe.

We were staying at Travellodge for a night only. Whilst looking for a proper breakfast place we found Cakenteapot via Google. Sam and her team, were great. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. There is a carpark in front of the cafe as well. She is working on getting card payment options as well.

Had a Sunday morning fry up today, friendly staff, good food, i always judge a fry up by the quality of sausages, these are excellent.

We had half an hour to kill between jobs and found the Cafe after seeing their street advert. We were able to park right outside. The owner and her assistant were helpful and chatty. We had hot drinks and the home made corn flake slice - delicious and just over £4 in total! We will be back!

i asked the cake n teapot to make me a special 90th birthday cake for my dad. The cake the made was more than special it was amazing. I cried when i saw the cake for the first time total show stopper. Leah hand painted all the detail on the cake to make it personnel for me and my family.

I used to come to this cafe regularly ... however I came last weekend and it taken 35 minutes for our food to come. When the food did come we left half of it as the sausages were like chippy sausages and everything was was tasteless. Won't be returning. Real shame x

Called in for breakfast and had great toasted bacon & egg sandwich which was packed with bacon and really tasty. The prices were very reasonable plus a mug of tea was only 80p and a mug of coffee only £1.00 so you can't go wrong. The place is nice and clean and has tables inside and outside and the staff are very pleasant too. I'll definitely be going back for another visit next time I'm in the area.

The food here is second to none and for the price I can't find a better place to have my lunch. Friendly, welcoming staff which is topped with amazingly tasty food at more than reasonable prices. And the cakes are the best.

This cafe is very good ever time I have visited. Staff are polite, friendly and give an homely feel to the place. Breakfast is either plated, in a tray or on a bun and is all well cooked. There is a traditional sausage option together...

Just to say a massive 'respect' to all at Cake N Teapot who worked tirelessly on Christmas Day to provide an excellent, FREE, Christmas lunch, turkey and all the trimmings, to local people struggling this Christmas. Many came back for second helpings it was that good. Staff were fantastic, welcoming and hard working. Food and company were enjoyed by all at this little gem of a cafe in Royton.

Been here a few times and the food is always fresh. We have had sandwiches Sunday dinners, breakfasts. You can have almost anything you want and they will make it for you. The staff are lovely and couldn't be any more helpful. Also had afternoon tea for 10 of us and there was a good selection of homemade cakes and sandwiches will Def be going again.

I was looking on trip advisor when I came across Cake n Teapot, so a couple of days later I thought why not go to Cake n Teapot so I did and got an cheeseburger and it was way beyond the standard I was expecting and I must say the cake was fabulous especially with a touch of whip cream and a good warm in the microwave. Don't be put of by the fact there is a mini market and a takeaway above it. By Matthew aged: 10

Hidden away just off the main Rochdale/Oldham road just before Royton on oozewood road. This little jem could be miles away in the countryside in the middle of nowhere. Tea and cakes with family abd friends is what this place was made for and you are expecting something else go somewhere else. The staff are nice and friendly the food is good and reasonable priced. The only downside and by no means let it put you off is that it's under a mini market and takeaway. But it charming and I little jem of a cake shop.

Called in to the cake n teapot for a brew to warm myself up after taking my dog for a walk on tandle hills park. The chocolate cake looked to good so treated myself to a slice very naughty but amazing. Home made cup cakes looked very tempting but will have to save them for another day. The staff were very friendly and deserve to do well. Strange place to have a cafe but a welcome site when your cold and hungry after a walk.

Hidden away in a not too tidy car park, They just seemed to be trying too hard. I think it is trying to be a "local cafe" Our breakfast order was wrong, but they were keen to sort it out. They had a few tables with very uncomfy chairs. And.. too many staff! It should have been a charming teashop the decor is lovely but I dont really need to hear someone (not sure if staff or a friend- certainly not a customer) sat at the prime window table complaining about her data allowance running out and how so and so friend only wants to talk about... well lets leave it at this point. We will return and try again, maybe for lunch (the beef sizzler sounds good)

Ordered a sausage butty and a latte as usual... asked for extra butter as I don't have sauce and the woman in the back that wasn't serving me jumped in and said extra what? So I repeated extra butter please and she said they are only supposed to put a certain amount on. Luckily the woman who was actually serving me ignored this pathetic statement and did give me extra butter.

Having visited the restaurant for years, and enjoyed all of it. My partner did the books many years ago. We have stuck with it through all the many changes & styles of food offered. Unfortunately we went for Sunday Roast , last Sunday. The beef was sold out, my partner took the pork which was too fatty, I took the ham shank which looked like it had been boiled & was totally unacceptable to me. We complained quietly to an older waitress, who tried to help with a strange type of beef? We were told to complain to Charlotte ( restaurant manager) who went home early on Sunday, & would not be on duty until Wednesday? Having decided that was enough, we grudgingly paid, and left, never to return ever! we were treated badly!
