Had a birthday cake 🎂🍰 ordered from here for my partner birthday. Great service no issues at all orders placed on Wednesday for cake pick-up Saturday. Delicious 😋 very tasty cake also "no Eggs in it" absolutely amazing 🤩 everyone loved it will definitely be back for future birthday's 🥳🎈

My order never came , and when I called the shop no one answered. It was my husbands birthday and wanted to surprise him with the birthday cake but unfortunately I never happened. The delivery driver never delivered my cake. I was asked the pin in text while I was running errands and asked my brother to receive the cake. Thinking he received it and the driver asked the pin after delivering the cake but it never happened. I tried calling the shop many times, left a voice message as soon as I know that the cake has not been delivered to my once and my brother never received the cake . I should not have trusted the delivery person and gave the pin.

I have rang over 20 times today and not once had anyone picked up. Useless .

So delicious that everyone ended up trying everything! the cake is ridiculously soft and fluffy, I've never had anything like it. the delivery guy was absolutely lovely too. 10/10 for everything.

Ordered a box online. Was extremely eager to take a bite of the strawberry cake, but immediately had to spit it out as soon as I put the spoon in my mouth. I’m not sure what’s in the vanilla sponge, it tasted stale, artificial, rancid and was completely inedible! The same with the fresh fruits cake. The aftertaste lingered on my mouth and I had to brush my teeth to get it off. The only saving grace was the cookies and cream cake which is why I’m giving this place two stars. Disappointing - as a baked goods enthusiast I’ve never tasted an aftertaste like the ones in the vanilla sponge of the cakes here. Not looking to order from here again, even a basic Tesco / Sainsbury’s cake is more edible.

Lovely cake, absolutely testy , staff are not friendly.

My birthday cake was purchased here sadly there was already mould growing inside raspberries and strawberries already present with furry bits at the time of purchase. Unfortunately my bf didn't pay attention and also didn't wanted to return cake next day.. Therfore no bd cake for me this year :( waste of money

I recently visited this cake shop, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The variety of cakes offered is impressive, each one a work of art. The flavors were rich and indulgent, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Food and ambience is good but customer service is very very bad disrespectful. requested a cake to packed separately and he behaved as if he is giving the cake for free. Very bad service even after questioning not even a sorry instead behaved further more badly.

Just picked up a birthday cake I ordered, lovely cake and very helpful staff.

The delivery driver didn’t even call me and kept a delivered status without delivering the cake. Then. Later i found him in car with the cake asked him its my order. Then he hand overed me. He was about to leave if I could have not asked the driver.

Cakes are amazing. But the team that was serving, she looks like she doesn't enjoy what she does, poor customer service, company need to spend more on motivating their team.

Brought chocolate cake from the store just now, the lady staff doesn't know how to give good customer service. She is so arrogant. I asked for a knife along with the cake, even if they are not providing it I accepted that. but the way she tell it with a bad face and it will not acceptable for those who spent money over there.

Today I have visited the cake box, ordered chocolate cake but the employee named Amrutha was so rude, arrogant,ridiculous and she behaved very badly with customers. She billed for the other cake rather than I have ordered for l. When she charged me more money I asked her about this then she spoke very harsly and debated with me and finally when I showed her the price on the price tag then she gave my money back like throwing. I have visited this franchise of cake box multiple times but never experienced this kind of worst behaviour from the employee. I was so disappointed and never gonna plan to visit the store again at any cost. Because I got the lots of embarrassment from her..!

Had a panic in the shop when collecting a cake - the colour wasn't what I was expecting but credit to the manager, quickly and efficiently rectified what he could and was very helpful. Really rate the service I received.

There cakes a really nice had issue with forest catu it wasn't as soft and moist coconut cake was really nice it was actuly more creamy then the creamy Dream cake I had

A beautiful cake, grandaughter is 16 today and oreos are her favourite thing so, Oreo cake was required. Everyone really enjoyed it fresh cream, fantastic.

I love cakes from this shop. They are always fresh and not too sweet. I would recommend to order for delivery as customer service needs improvement (old lady extremely rude, but young lady very helpful).

Cake Box in Newcastle was our go to place for years, especially between 2019 and 2021. And then the quality started going downhill. We still gave it the benefit of the doubt in 2022, but it got worse. The cake went from a fluffy, soft sponge with fresh cream to die for, to a heavy, dry compact cake with medicinal tasting cream. Feedback, as with most other places, is not graciously received. The staff is more often than not unfriendly. What a shame.

Very unpleasant taste, bought the vanilla slices with rainbow sprinkles and the sprinkles tasted of bitter medicine. the cream had a stiff sticky texture which indicated that it was not fresh at all

Very very bad services. I ordered a cake one week earlier just so i can get the time I want. Yet the cake wasn’t delivered at the expected time. I had to call and the customer service desk was lying to me that my cake was out for delivery. I live just 9mins walk away but it took more than an hour after the expected delivery time for the cake to get to me. I wouldn’t recommend

Paid delivery charge on here but the driver charged me extra £6 for delivery that was not mentioned why did I have to pay extra that's absolutely ridiculous.

Eggless cakes, but really nice...

Cake was great, that's all fine — got a strange call from a staff member beforehand though talking a heap about how the cake couldn't be delivered at the requested time since they don't do deliveries like that at all, only for it to arrive at the requested time anyway (thank you I guess.. haha). Just bizarre customer service.

I used to go to this place when prices were reasonable. A slice of cake is very expensive now. It's all cream and small amount of sponge.
