Cairnryan holiday park in Dumfries & Galloway

Stayed one night as we were on an early ferry. When initially booked it was because the photos looked nice and welcoming. This was not our experience. There was no one there to book in with. Told the key would be in the safe, after opening and searching it wasn’t. After finally getting in it was not like the pictures. It was outdated, and not particularly clean. It looked like a dog had previously been in which is fine, but it was not cleaned properly afterwards. The floor was covered in white hair and not enjoyable. Appreciated the milk in the fridge, however the cupboard the toaster was in was full of old crumbs and was not clean. The towels provided had a strange smell which was not particularly pleasant. Shower was ok. Temperature was hit n miss with no particular instructions. Not to mention the look of the swimming pool which looked like it could house some serious fungal infections… Not a pleasant stay. Will happily drive through the night next time we have a morning ferry

Ciarnryan Heights holiday park. We stayed 1 night in a static caravan, it was opposite the port which was great. The caravan itself was OK the shower wasn't the best as the temperature kept going hot/cold but it was acceptable for 1 night. The park itself does feel a but sorry for itself, the pool looked like a deathtrap and everything else looked like you wouldn't really want your kids playing with it.

Had a great couple of days at a private rental 34 the anchor. Lovely quiet site and caravan was amazing. Very comfortable and absolutely spotless. John the owner introduced himself and left us to it. Would definitely recommend johns caravan. Will definitely book again

Booked into this site through Airbnb Into a private owner johns caravan even though we understand the caravan is old there is no reason for stained carpets,stained dirty arms on the chairs windows that either don’t open or don’t close , underwear left under the seats ,cobwebs, spiders, wet duvets due to the window being left wide open ripped duvets as the spare no mattress protectors with very stained Mattresses smelling of dog and couldn’t find the door key anywhere we would never ever ever stay on this site again definitely not for the price we paid for a caravan Since this we have stayed at 2 more Airbnb’s which has been absolutely lovely more spacious clean and faultless just out of this world compared to this caravan and the bonus is these where cheaper than the caravan Since we have booked this caravan for the end of our holiday as well But since we have complained on Airbnb and to the owner has basically called us liars and does not staying at his caravan again with less than 24 hours notice to find somewhere else and ruined our holiday Stay away at all costs!!!

Este es, sin duda, el peor "holiday park" que he tenido la desgracia de visitar. Todo parece muy bonito en el folleto hoseasons, pero eso no podría estar más lejos de la verdad. Cuando llegamos había cartuchos de papel higiénico pisoteados en los pasos a la caravana. . Es en ese punto que debería de haber ido a casa y convertido! Al entrar en la caravana, la vajilla y cubertería estaban todos bien distribuido en la mesa. . Al acercarme. éste era claramente para cubrir la quemadura marcas y otros manchas en la mesa. Habíamos reservado un "paquete de bienvenida" que incluía pan, leche, té, café, etc. Por desgracia, en el registro de los otros armarios cocina también habían dejado varios artículos de medio consume de nuestros visitantes (s), claramente no mucho cuidado para el volumen de la caravana entre vacaciones. La zona de estar prácticamente colapsado y la ducha no ha dado más que un hilito de agua. . . Estas cuestiones. informamos a la oficina de crédito y crédito donde estaban fijados, debido en tiempo y forma. El parque está en un terrible estado, dos miembros del personal de pasear con un cigarrillo colgando de su boca. El parque está en el sitio de un campamento del ejército y por lo tanto los edificios antiguos son bastante antiguo y podría ser percibida por algunos como anticuado, sin embargo los edificios están cuidados a un nivel aceptable y que no contravengan las normas de salud y seguridad de cualquier manera. El Pato o entretenimiento grouse complejo tenía un extenso re-fit y de cara a 2016 y hemos derramado una gran cantidad de dinero para invertir en personal adicional para nuestro equipo en el sitio agregando un chef, personal adicional, lavado cooperativo que limpia edificios y caravanas, además de arrancada un miembro adicional del personal en la oficina. El Wi-fi en el sitio es generalmente aceptable, recientemente hemos invertido en la red de plata, revestimientos que nuestros clientes se ha mejorado el servicio de wi-fi. Sin embargo, durante los períodos pico si todo el mundo está usando el Wi-fi, esto puede causar que disminuya, así que debe señalarse que nuestro Wi-fi es para uso básico i. e. revisar correos electrónicos y medios sociales, no descargando archivos o sitios como you tube o Netflix. Finalmente, con respecto a la falta de una tienda en Cairnryan, nunca hemos operado una tienda en el sitio y no pretendemos hacerlo. Durante muchos años, había una pequeña tienda situada en las inmediaciones de Cairnryan Village, pero debido a razones de salud, el propietario ha retirado temprano y cerrado la tienda". Naturalmente no nos gusta que nuestros visitantes nos decepcionó en ningún aspecto. Por lo tanto hemos organizado Hoseasons vales de vacaciones por el valor de 50 libras. 00 como un gesto de buena voluntad. Estos vales se pueden canjear contra cualquier de la Cartera hoseasons y será enviada por nuestro departamento de finanzas por separado en los próximos 7 - 10 días hábiles. Como empresa nos esforzamos para mantener un alto nivel de atención al cliente. En ocasiones las cosas no son siempre como deberían ser, aunque nuestro objetivo final es tener 100% de satisfacción al cliente. Lamento mucho que en esta ocasión sus vacaciones en Cairnryan Caravan Park no cumplen con sus expectativas. " He rechazado su oferta de bonos porque sin duda no será reserva nada con ellos de nuevo. Me ofrecieron un reembolso en efectivo que todavía estoy esperando ya que me enviaron una hora, pero "se olvidó" de cartel!

Our teenagers loved the teen room and swimming pool, while the younger children enjoyed the soft play room . Fantastic entertainment on when we stayed the whole family enjoyed it. The customer service from all the staff was outstanding we will defiantly be back next year

It was disappointing to find on arrival that not even a toilet roll was provided. The decor of the caravan was dated and shabby, and with no heating outside the living area and single glazing it was very chilly in the bedrooms. However my main concern was that there was no step to the back door of the caravan which did not lock with a key. I don't think that it was appropriate to put a family with children in this accommodation. The staff I met on the site were very friendly, helpful, welcoming and professional, it is such a shame that their attitude is not matched by the upkeep of the site.

Just back from cairnryan and do not believe what you read on their website, no entertainment complex, no decent soft play, dirty small pool, no shop, worst caravan park ever been to, food awful, had to wait one and half hours both nights for meal and were only people eating. Entertainment for families, well last night was mens poker served by naughty nurse.......Eh..... Caravan unclean, nothing what do ever to do, regular power cuts, I could go on and on, STAY WELL CLEAR FAMILIES

The site has friedly and helpful staff. Caravan was a new 2015 model and had tea/coffee, milk, bread and butter awaiting our arrival which was a really nice touch. This was let down by the lack of cleanliness (the caravan floor needed vaccuming, and the bathroom was not clean (the shower still had remnants of the previous residents). The site is directly above the P&O ferry terminal and provides a range of background noises until around midnight. We didn't use the onsite facilities therefore cannot comment on them.

had a great time at this park. very friendly site with a great staff who cant do enougth to help. good on you paul. on arrival there was tea bags jar of coffee sugar bread and eggs. perfect place for a nice chill out. had a great wee club with entertainment. a shop is just next to the camp gates handy for newspaper in the morning all and all just a grand wee place to visit. hope to return soon.

We had a lovely week here we met some great people and you won't find a friendlier site There was a great turn on Saturday night School Days what a fab night We had a brand new caravan which was very comfy we had no complaints at all All n all a smashing week

Just back from a Friday to Monday break and we all had a fabulous time. We had two kids with us agreed 6 & 4 they had an amazing time, park is very safe and they loved having the freedom to run between soft play, the cave (area for older kids) and the park. Our caravan was fine and really close to all the facilities and we were really lucky with the weather. When we arrived we were greeted as friends everyone says hi and Good morning to you which is really welcoming. Dawn at reception actually walked to our caravan to show us where it was! Super service Dawn thank you. We had great fun in the outdoor pool. They even had a pool party and a st Trinian's night when we where there. They don't have an on site so but there is one right outside park which stock everything you need. I'll Defo be taking kids back they didn't want to leave this morning x thanks cairnryan caravan park xx

Having visited this park last summer using the Sun Holiday scheme I must say I was very disappointed and wouldn't recomend anyone visit this park. For a start you get charged £5 for an entertainment pass which entitles you access to the bar which is very run down the staff a blonde woman seemed to spend more time looking after her children and socialising with friends rather than dealing with customers the music that evening was cancelled which is not acceptable when you have customers expecting live music the food tasted as if it was frozen and heated up in a Microwave I have over 10 years experience in the food sector having been a head chef in a well known Glasgow hotel. The welcome pack which cost £10 included toilet roll amongst other items which was a joke every other caravan site I've been to there has always been a loo role included. The impression was its all about making money than giving new guests a positive experience .

DUMP. Run down, badly organised and run with staff more interested in lounging about and smoking than dealing with visitors/customers. Even worse when you realise that Cairnryan is even worse! Never to be visited again!!!!!!!!!

Visited this location r a few drinks with some friends and was made very welcome by all. Staff were very friendly and there was a good variety of entertainment available for all to enjoy.
