Another fantastic breakfast. Staff were welcoming, surroundings comfortable and food excellent. My mother and I had a delicious breakfast with tea, everything was cooked as requested. Hot fresh & tasty. Our must do when in Ards.

Not a great experience. Pretty sure I was overcharged as it certainly wasn’t value for money. The cake was stale, ice cream just ok and service slow/disorganised. My first and last visit. Disappointing.

Four of us went in for breakfast today. It was the first and will be the last time I visit. We all had different breakfasts I had toast bacon and poached egg. My friend had eggs bacon potato bread sausage and mushrooms. A cup of tea and a coffee to boot. The staff were excellent but the food poor the eggs hard and the bacon had no taste. My friend said it's possibly the worst breakfast she has had. The boys felt the same and they have been before It came to £20 for two if us which I find hard to understand as it said on the menu £5-50 for mine so I can't understand the totting up at the counter pricing. Very disappointed not good value for money and the food just less than mediocre .

Waited 40 minutes for 2 small fries. When they eventually arrived the soda and potato bread was as hard as brick. I couldn't actually cut it with my knife. Sausage rock hard too. Other people in the cafe were also complaining about the long waiting times for food. We did receive an apology but no offer of recompense or anything complimentary for our trouble. There are much better cafes in the town.

Normally I would say Cafollas is 5 stars but today for the second time in as many weeks I found a hair in my fry, approximately 3 weeks prior my wife had found a hair in her avocado breakfast. One time can be a one off, a simple mistake, but twice in such a short period of time is unacceptable. We would normally have breakfast every weekend if not every other weekend here and unfortunately we won’t be back as this is not an isolated incident which is a shame because as stated before we would normally rate the food 5 stars and would be here on a regular basis.

Food was bland tasted awful, the table wasn’t cleaned properly had coffee mug rings all over it and had just had a damp cloth ran over it. Plates were greasy on the outside. Ordered 2 iced coffees aswell they weren’t the best either. Over all experience wasn’t the best!

When in Newtownards normally drop in for their delicious double fry with a hot mug of tea (see photo). Always a warm welcome from staff, efficient service and always clean and tidy. Very popular with the locals as you normally recognise familiar faces in for lunch, hence the name Premier Cafe. Can be busy on Saturdays when the local market is on in the square.

I love to visit here for a coffee . One day we had the freshly made crepes which were delicious. Another day I had a coffee while my son was in an appointment at hospital and the gentleman sitting opposite me paid for my coffee. I was so appreciative at his generosity and care and he could clearly see I wasn’t in a good place that morning. I wish I could repay it for him and for him to realise how much I appreciated it that day. It’s a lovely cafe, welcoming and lovely food.

Always my favourite spot for a fry up but today I had poached eggs with avocado on sourdough bread, with baby tomatoes on the side. Absolutely gorgeous. Hot, tasty and a really good portion. Well done!! I will repeat!!

Good coffee, but food was not great. Had a breakfast sub roll, with sausage and egg - pork sausage was cheap looking, and quite dry, and it was all very greasy.

Visited Caffolas for a spot of lunch with my wife. I ordered chicken ciabatta with chips and my wife the mega fry. No beans, mushrooms or tomatoes on the mega fry which was surprising....these cost extra and the ciabatta arrived without bread on top, like an open sandwich although not advertised as this. There was just about a decent portion of chicken, mushrooms, onions and chips. Overall nothing to shout to home about here.....the food was very average at best, a bit expensive. We will try somewhere else next time

Called in for lunch , wet from the rain and rather hungry. We were seated immediately and order was taken really swiftly. It was lunch hour and business was steady enough so we didn't expect the food within five minutes but after noticing tables that had only sat down five and ten minutes previously being served their food before us, and after my son was laying his head on the table in sheer boredom, I began to question how long we had been waiting. I had taken a photo of my son at the table after ordering and when I checked the time stamp on the photo, it had been taken thirty minutes beforehand. I approached the counter where a few servers were standing and explained the wait we were experiencing, reiterated the food I had ordered and sat back down after the girl assured me she would look into it. As I glanced back toward the counter I noticed a few glares from the staff, in particular the red haired young girl who on previous visits I had always found to be quite pleasant. I found this level of open disdain towards a customer quite unprofessional, especially when that customer's complaint was perfectly within reason. When the food arrived, I had been given the wrong Panini which was quickly rectified by the owner. Working in a restaurant with over fifty tables, I do understand that mistakes can be made but I was incredulous at the fact that not one member of staff had the initiative or basic common sense to notice that the table directly within eyesight of the counter they were all standing behind had been sitting waiting, with dead drinks for over half an hour. When the food eventually arrived , it was lovely and the chips were perfectly crisp and hot. The food and the reaction of the owner kept this review from being a one star. The owner came across as a nice , understanding man who seemed very apologetic and genuinely embarrassed by the incompetence of his staff however the dirty looks from the counter staff wouldn't have me rushing back.

No complaint about the food, my only gripe is they advertise the 'eat in half price' . Was in yesterday afternoon and charged full price unfortunately I hadn't the nerve to complain on front of other customers. Don't advertise that you have signed up to the Government scheme when you haven't or was I done.!!

Our first visit. Saturday lunch about 1pm very.busy. it's quite small. But turnaround is relatively quickly. Shop.is divided into bunkette type tables each holds.4 comfortablely looking around the cafe it was clear the food was being enjoyed. Clean plates happy families enjoying everything from a full fry.up to fish &chips to panni. You wait to be seated meanwhile we were given menus and our order was taken while we stood at the till we were asked to pay on order. They do not have a debit card machine. Cash only. No pots for tea. Just cups. We were seated very quickly . Food came shortly afterwards. Two fish &chips one chicken curry & chips all good although chips not really warm. Chicken curry very tasty we all tasted pur sons. Bread & mushy peas didn't arrive. Asked a further time for same eventually peas came 20min after our meal. Staff member noted we hadn't been charged and promptly plopped a bill on the table. I then asked for a portion of curry sauce again another bill promptly plopped on the table. Staff did hover at the edge of the table quite a bit. A little annoying . Felt the table turn over thing was pushed with staff hovering tactics. No toilets availible for general public. If you needed the loo would have been quicker to nip home than trot over to the public loos in ards. We felt slightly over charged over the curry sauce as it was a very small dish with two table spoons of sauce cost £1.20 in general there was plenty of food menu choices prices ok but sides seem heavily priced. Atmosphere nice friendly staff. But felt the urge to turn tables fast was detrimental to the idea of having a nice lunch. But having said all that we would probably return for food

Needed to kill an hour and on the outside the place looked lovely. Went to the upstairs cafe and first impressions remained good. Staff were polite and attentive, even got a refill (as I write this I am yet to discover if this is free). Coffee was of a good standard. Still with time to kill I decided to order some food and this is where my visit took a sharp downward spiral. I ordered the sausage sandwich and no sooner had I returned to my seat, the waitress was bringing it over. I’m no chef but even I know my sausages have just been sitting under a heat lamp. The bread was served without being toasted and without any butter on it. Tasted as crap as it looked. Staff were brilliant but if that’s how sub-par a simple sausage sandwich is I dread to think what the other dishes are like. One final note - my sandwich went cold before I had the opportunity to finish it. Will not be back. Not value for money at all. I recommend removing ‘premier’ from your name.

First of all this is my first review on trip advisor in a long time. When too Caffolas today 3 adults and 3 year old. Ordered our food and asked for two sausages and a pancake for the child and told we would have too order two pancakes, then we where told they had no pancakes and we could have waffles instead. No pleased but easy too run out of something although not usually before 11amFood arrived warm at best not hot!The bill then arrived within seconds of our food and we had been charged 20p for a thimble of brown sauce - £24 worth of food and charged for sauce. Really! Now this is the bit that really discusted me. My 3 year old son potty training needed the bathroom. We asked and where told they only had a staff toilet and we couldn’t use it! We had too leave the shop go too the public toilets on Ards Main Street Needless too say he didn’t make the near 1/4 mile walk in time and cried for over an hour that he had made a messTotally avoidable and not his fault who in hospitality would refuse a child use of a toilet

Called into Cafolla's for brunch. It is now in Regent Street, Newtownards. It was the first time that We hadn't never been the in Cafollas before in the old or new premises. It is decored in the shabby chic style. A waitress came over right away with a choice of the main menu, breakfast or special. We ordered two coffees while we pressed the menus. We ordered the omelette and scrambled egg and smoked salmon. It took about 10 minutes for it to arrive. They were presented nicely.

I was extremely disappointed after my visit on Sunday to Cafolla's. My partner and myself had went for breakfast and the café was by no means busy. We had each ordered a fry and after waiting over 30 minutes and watching others who came in after us receive their food before us. I finally approached the member of staff who took our order at the till and politely asked her if she could check on it, she looked at me like I had two heads and it was her college who replied saying she would check. She came out to tell us that our docket had been miss placed which we understand that's fine mistakes can happen. The manager brought out our food, he said sorry for the wait bu by no means was it sincere. We then had to go and ask for sauce, were we were given one sachet each, again we had to ask for more. When we went up to pay, had the manger discounted our bill or even taken off the drinks I wouldn't have had a problem, however he himself put the transaction through and had the audacity to charge 10p for each sachet of sauce. I will never be back in Cafollas following this poor customer service. I understand mistakes can happen but there is also a way to resolve them which was most definitely not carried out. I also work locally in Newtownards and will be circulating a staff email to ensure that everyone in the building is aware of this terrible customer service.

I eat here regularly and can't fault it. The café is beautifully decorated and has even given inspiration for my house! Staff are always very friendly and take your order quickly and with no fuss. Newtownards has quite a few choices for a fry but this one is by far the best! The lunch menu is also varied and I recommend the stew or chicken goujons. Never once have I been where the owner/manager doesn't come around to check that everything is okay. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have Sunday brunch in Cafolla's every 2 - 3 weeks and occasionally drop in for afternoon coffee at weekends. We frequently have our three year old nephew in tow and we all receive a friendly, warm welcome. The food is pretty standard café fare, hot, tasty and value for money. The apple pie is exceptional. Nice too that the owner is always evident and makes a point of visiting every table to check all is well.
