On a weekend visit to Pwllheli this was going to be a wet weather alternative, however we decided to go anyway. Nice well stocked garden centre, nice friendly staff. There was a huge area devoted to Christmas stuff and a large animated display of Santa and his elves would be great for little ones. We had lunch in the cafe, we had quiche with salad and a ham salad ( three nice thick slices of ham ), large portions too. This was our first trip to this area and we would definitely return.

Visited this cafe after it was recommended by another local business. Went for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised with the amount of options on offer. The quantity of food we received was very good for the price we paid and we thoroughly enjoyed. Plenty of cakes and sweet treats on offer to complete the meal. Right next door to the garden centre so it was lovely to take a stroll around after our meal.

Seems to be under new management since I last reviewed the cafe in October 2020. The food quality and quantity have been maintained. We had substantial omelettes as usual. Front of house staff have been changed from smart young ladies to young lads and girls, at the lower end of the minimum wage scale, one wearing an anorak, against food hygiene recommendations, and with thumbs on plates. The other main change we noticed immediately - the prices over the last 18 months have increased more than I would expect.

Called in this morning for an impromptu breakfast as I wait for a car service in the village. I ordered the Full Welsh Breakfast and a pot of Earl Grey tea. Served piping hot, a very generous doorstep of hot toast and butter. All in all, the newly revamped cafe is a delight, plenty of spacious tables and even some booths. Food and service was great and excellent value for money.

We had eaten here before and we hadn't really enjoyed the food, it is local and we decided to try again this time with breakfasts. The cafe is very clean and nicely decorated but when the food came I was SO disappointed! The bacon was barely cooked and left with so much fat on it really put me off. The mushrooms were from a tin and so sloppy it was awful and even the tomatoes were uncooked. I had to ask for a spare plate to put the waste food on before I could start eating only to be told to use the plate that the toast was on! To say I was not best pleased is an understatement. Well, we won't be going there again for food . What a shame!

Visited a few months ago and really enjoyed the soup and sandwich, so returned again yesterday only to be greatly dissatisfied. Had to wait for quite a while to be served at the counter as no one there, but I could hear the staff laughing and talking in the kitchen. Eventually I was noticed. We had the full breakfast and the fish and chips. The fish was inedible, soggy inside, batter not cooked, peas cold and tasteless. The breakfast was made up of the cheapest ingredients, tasteless sausages and bacon, mushrooms that had been sitting in water, and cheap beans. We did not complain, as the staff again disappeared from sight. Such a shame as it is a nice place with lovely views.

This garden centre cafe was recommended to us by our neighbour so today (Wednesday) we decided to have our lunch here. It is located on the main A499 Pwllheli to Caernarfon road (watch out for the sign right by the entrance). Parking was free. The garden centre/shop was a bit sparse as they were tidying up after the Christmas season. The Cafe was clean and modern inside. There was plenty of choice on the menu including an all-day breakfast. I went to the counter and ordered our lunch plus tea for 2. The total bill came to £14.65 which I was able to pay by card (contactless). I was given a tray with the hot drinks on and an order number. We waited a while for the food to be served but they were quite busy. There was a queue for the one and only ladies/disabled toilet.

Large tea room with lots of staff but in the afternoon we dropped in staff did not seem too interested in serving as we had a long wait. Had the prawn salad which was ok, perhaps lacking a little punch to the suace but a generous portion. Cake was nice and homemade, prices fair. I wish they had more in the shop as little to browse and buy. So it’s ok with some nice cakes but nothing to make a long trip for.

The bacon was all dried up and you were unable to cut through it, the fried mushrooms were soggy and been prepped a long time making them tasteless, the 1st attempt was returned. Have visited the garden centre a number off times and invariably drop in to the cafe for coffee or lunch. The food is good and the pavlova is second to none but the coffee is not the best. The thing which spoils it all for me is the noise. The chairs are the heaviest in the world and can barely be lifted. The consequence is that they constantly have to be dragged across the floor making a deafening din. There is a fine range of chair leg pads on the market that would solve this problem in a flesh. Pop in to the Bison Grill at Corwen to see what they use.

We've used this cafe on many occasion and found it satisfactory, just. However recently they have introduced a drinks locality card. You the type when you buy a drink they stamp your card. On the back of they card it says ' buy six drinks get one free'. However in practice it doesn't work like that. Unlike any other locality card I have, caffi'r Tyddyn only stamp your card once no matter how many drinks you buy on your order. As most people who visit this cafe go in at least pairs you need to buy 12 drinks before you get a free one. More, the larger the party. So when ordering drinks pay separately but used the same locality card. It's got to be the meanest locality card in existence.

We went there for lunch on a sunny day. It's a large, airy restaurant at the back of a garden centre off the A499. You order at the counter. A good choice of light lunches - salads, sandwiches etc. - with some promising-looking cakes which unfortunately we didn't try. I had the quiche of the day, which was tasty and presented with a fresh salad. We sat outside on the terrace. Don't be put off by the uninspiring scene that greets you as you come into the garden centre car park: once you're sitting in the cafe (or better still, outside it), there is a fantastic view of the Snowdonia mountain range, stretching from Snowdon on the left to Cader Idris on the right. Obviously the view is dependent on the weather, but I imagine the cafe is still a comfortable place to sit inside on a wet day. The staff were pleasant and service was efficient. The coffee wasn't great, though.

Awful experience. We arrived around 2 pm, and we asked what the soup was. We were told it was Parsnip and immediately ordered. The member of staff went to the kitchen to ask something and then came out to say they are no longer serving food. We found this odd given that she had just confirmed the soup with the kitchen, and the cafe is open until 4 pm. Fair enough if we were trying to order at 3.45pm, but this was at 2pm. We ordered coffees and welsh cakes, which took 20 minutes to come (cafe was empty, save for ourselves). The rude member of staff then slammed them on the table, didn't even take the items off the tray, and walked off. Never have I had such an awful customer service experience. Complete letdown to what is a lovely area.

An out-of-town farm/campsite/farmshop. Reasons for 5* = service (friendly), quality (.take a look round the shop), price (very good value) . I thought this was a lovely place. As a family we’d all happily revisit. Good value for the quality of produce. In Leeds (where we come from) could charge a lot more. We’d happily happily revisit

We stayed for 3 nights… a cracking hotel, rooms really comfy, great breakfast and evening meal… staff were lovely. Thank you to Dave for the local information for walking…. Will be back again!

Visited briefly as was highly recommended on trip advisor . Just writing review to highlight we were informed this venue no longer offers food.

A most welcoming local pub with an excellent chef who happily adapted starters into a main for me - veggie! Although menu catered for everyone. Mine hosts were so cheerful & hardworking - many could take a leaf out of their books! The place was absolutely buzzing with people of all ages - locals & holidaymakers having the time of their lives singing along to the live musician of the evening who sang everything from Beatles/John Denver to modern day...talented chap! We will definitely be back - next time we may stay if not during the summer months, perhaps for an Autumn/Spring walking holiday!
