Finding a Gluten Free cafe around here is a miracle, and this unobtrusive cafe is worth searching for. I had the best toastie I've had, and my husband really enjoyed his BLT. No fuss, plenty of alternatives, friendly and courteous staff and it is immaculately clean. It is set back from the road in a modern, multiuse building but new signage is due plus some outdoor seating. Slow down as you drive through the village, locate this cafe and then enjoy a variety of excellent food. Highly recommended.

What amazing luck--to get off the bus in this village almost on the spur of the moment, and turn round and find this cafe just when we needed it. The food is very good value and freshly prepared. The menu is varied and we were tempted after our main courses to share a serving of raspberry roulade, which unusually came with single cream rather than double, keeping the calorie count down. The service was very friendly.

After several visits I can confidently say this cafe maintains consistently good standards. They do an excellent breakfast and their home made soups and lunches are also very good. Try a burger, omelette, scampi or jacket potato and you'll not be disappointed. Always specials available and there are toilets and easy free parking. Very clean and staff are always helpful.

This used to be Caffi Grug once upon a time but the owners of the main building (Council) has now let the café and kitchen out to 2 new local owners. Their food is very nice and sensibly priced. Excellent service and a very clean café. Well done.
