I was there this morning and saw a male staff member shout at a female customer in a rather sexist fashion. I felt very uncomfortable and certainly won’t be visiting again!

When I lived I Crouch End, I was a regular customer. Welcoming staff, super dog friendly and great music. I popped in for a coffee and a nata on a brief visit to London and it's still lovely!

Caffeinate has become one of my favourite spots recenlty and one of those cafes where you can find friendly warm and welcoming staff as much as tasty food and coffee. It is one of my locals now and I love going and spending my weekly time in there. Even if it is to go and grab a quick soya mocha or just to enjoy reading my book.

Wow! This is a proper neighbourhood “community” cafe. Friendly welcoming staff and the best iced coffee I’ve had in ages. The carrot cake was divine too. I’ll be back!

Every time I come to London to work at the studio across the street I stop in to Caffeinate a few times a day for coffee or a bite to eat. The coffee is excellent and the staff are very personable. Highly recommend.

What a find. I went to this coffee shop for the first time on Sat and was so impressed. The coffee is superb and the chocolate salted caramel brownie was divine, it blew me away, wow. Service is very friendly and a lovely vibe inside. Would highly recommend and I’ll definitely be going back just for the brownie alone (and some coffee beans)

This is such a lovely café in Crouch End (psst, they also have a branch in Muswell Hill which is equally as lovely!) - my little family and I visit nearly every Sunday morning; the coffee is excellent, served with a smile and very warm greetings. We love coming here; well worth more than just one visit - become a regular!

Not really impressed with the service from the two older women in charge. They seemed to think that life had more coming for them - their worn faces said it all. The surroundings were typical of the area, quite funky, I suppose. But they only really served coffee, as they only offered the same cakes as every other shop. An opportunity missed. There is a two hundred year old baker further down the street, and an organic shop in the other direction, so don't come here for food. However, they don't burn the milk, so that's something. Typical London service, just drab. It wouldn't hurt if the old bags could muster up a smile.

The surroundings are pleasant enough, particularly when not busy, but the two older female staff are too grumpy for my liking. I think they got the impression that they had more coming in life. It's just a coffee shop, Crouch End has plenty of them. P.S. cakes are nothing special, where as a few doors down they did organic home made !

Frequently drop into Caffeinate for a coffee and occasionally a cake or lunch with my daughter. Coffee is the best in Crouch End and the team there are always friendly. Lots of 'milk' options - skimmed, semi, soya, almond, oat etc, Food is also tasty and worth a try. Recommended!

Always friendly and great coffee too

Even if you're only passing through Crouch End, it would be remiss to pass up an opportunity for food or a beverage at Caffeinate. This is the most wonderful, inclusive neighborhood coffee shop. The atmosphere is light and airy with an essence of escapism. The staff are incredibly friendly. I come here to work (there are easy-access outlets and the perfect level of background chatter to be quiet yet humming), but it's a great place for everyone -- friends catching up, parents with their young children, employees on break, individuals reading a book, etc. Their smoothies are dairy-free (and delicious!), and I can recommend their cold brew. Come as you are, leave caffeinated and happy.

Lovely place if you are socialising. Laptops are not allowed before 3pm, apparently. There is no sign indicating this. I was unceremoniously informed a couple of minutes after my hot chocolate was finished, which is interesting timing. Shame, I was hoping this would be my regular place whilst I work on my MBA. Happily, there are other places in the area where I am welcome to spend my money and my time while I sit quietly and write my paper.

💫 Great café! 💫 Lovely atmosphere, the staff are super friendly, and the coffee is perfect. Feels like a real community café. I even came on the weekend when they have a (reasonable) no-laptop policy until 3pm, and since it was a slow afternoon they relaxed their policy early and let me work on my laptop. ;)

Lovely place, tasty coffee and food, perfect atmosphere for a coffee/tea break. And most important - staff! Always so friendly and chatty, always says “hello” and “buy” with a smile on face :) Background music always nice. I love coming here for morning coffee and to work. Only one thing not nice thing I have notice recently is a new barista. Absolutely unpleasant and not friendly girl, I love this place for the friendly staff who keep the good mood, but the new barista leaves a feeling of unpleasant service not time There is never a smile when you say "thank you" for coffee, in response you get 0 emotions or such a quiet answer, as if she is doing you a favor for bringing the order. My morning coffee mood yesterday was ruined as the coffee and breakfast came with a favor in the face and when we left we were talking maybe 15 minutes about bad service and how mood of staff can affect your day .In my opinion, the new girl absolutely does not fit into the friendly team and the friendly atmosphere of the coffee shop.Today, if I see that she is on shift, I prefer to go to a nearby coffee shop, where I will get more pleasant emotions and people who say hello to us with a smile. But when I see usual staff who are friendly, I'm always happy to stop by for a delicious cup of coffee.

I love this café, local, cosy, great coffee and bubbly and welcoming staff. I love their pastries and can’t wait to try their Shakshuka. I only arrived from Canada a week ago and I think I’ve been here everyday. Definitely my go to cafe when in crouch end! Additonal post : 11 Aug 2022 - I finally tried the famous Shaksuka. Now I have never tried this anywhere before so I have no real reference, but boy, was it ever soooo good! Farm fresh eggs poached to perfection, golden yolk, cooked in a lovely tomatoe and pepper herbed sauce. It comes with 2 pieces of healthy toast. The lovely lady in the counter even offered me more bread but I had to decline as I was so full. This is a pure vegetarian meal which will fill me up for the whole day. No need for lunch! A definite must try! The biggest plus? Thee kind and awesome staff! What a lovely place to chill, read, eat and drink coffee 😉

The most amazing coffee in crouch end by far A and the ONLY place for a decaf that tastes like the real thing. Seriously - I had to stop having caffeine last year for medical reasons and this is the only place I’ve found that cuts it!

Strict policy of no laptops on the weekends. This morning I forgot my phone at home and didn't notice. I stopped by the caffeinate n8 cafe to grab a coffee take a way, but returned to check the working times of the library near by. Since I have just bought a coffee there, felt appropriate. Made myself comfortable took my my laptop out. Stuff told me about the policy (no laptops), please note that there were no sings that were visible. I agreed and asked politely that I needed a second to check smth. However, I was refused to be given a wifi password due to policy, with a comment " check on your phone", which i unfortunately didnt have. I was polite, I bought the cafe's product. I was not offered an alternative like (how can we help you else how) just repeated their policy like robots, arguing it was for the everyone's sake. I felt helpless and humiliated (whole cafe was staring at me), and soooo un-welcomed. Left my coffee there on the table, because I never coming back. All this friendliness felt so fake. In my opinion guests should be made comfortable, not made to leave.

Would give it a zero if I could. Hostess stand was rude. Come here if you want that attitude.

The guys at Caffeinate have become part of the furniture in Crouch End. Service with a friendly smile and banging coffee to boot. A perfect stop off for a chilled walk via Parklands Walk into Crouch End and then to Alexandra Palace. A must for any coffee lover.

This is such a relaxing place to come - the best in crouch end! Amazing service, food and company. Siyar, Hatice and the girls are so warm and genuine. Every time I come I’m always satisfied - whether it’s a good conversation or a friendly vibe. Totally recommend!!!

Awful. The staff are rude an uninterested. When a customer walked in coughing and not wearing a mask, they said nothing, clearly because she is a regular customer. When I told the lady to move because she was speaking right were my coffee was, and not wearing a mask, she said it was her choice to not wear one and she verbally abused me and the staff DID NOTHING. Shame on them.

Hands down the best coffee shop in Crouch End! Amazing, strong coffee, friendly and welcoming staff, quick service if you want a takeaway, or if you want to enjoy your coffee there, there's a lovely cozy seating area at the back with a look-through glass ceiling. Best part of my Covid-era work from home mornings is walking to get a coffee from Caffeinate before I log onto work. A perfect start to the day!

Wonderful service, atmosphere, coffees and people. Love the pasteis de nata they have and the carrot cake is just incredible. They make the best cappuccino in couch end (to be honest the best I've had in UK since I moved here from Italy) and I can't resist for more than 2 days without it. Definitely a 5 star.

I’ve never been in a coffee shop with staff so full of themselves in my life. Particularly the older woman with greying curly hair. Also, I don’t enjoy being sniggered/smirked at and spoke about under your breath from behind the counter whilst I’m having a conversation. Yes, I notice everything.

We had an amazing couple of coffees here earlier today - they make their coffees with care and expertise, adhering to the continental standard. :) Their soya macchiato was great and members of staff were lovely and helpful so I can only recommend a trip to Caffeinate if you're in the area - you won't regret it!

This is the best cafe in Crouch End, which is saying a lot as Crouch End is not short of cafes. Friendly service, consistently amazing coffee, and wonderful selection of delicious baked goods and as well as tasty cooked brunch options. Inside is also absolutely beautiful. My favourite.
