Ordered through Deliveroo, but the food was so amazing I had to leave a review here too! We tried Bob’s Cheeseburger, Chicken Schnitzel, Nachos, Fish Tacos, and a Chocolate Brownie. Everything was absolutely delicious but I want to give a special shout-out to the fish tacos and nachos. I usually don’t expect much from them since they’re often too spicy or just not to my liking, but these were a pleasant surprise! The tacos were perfectly balanced—I could easily remove the chili and still enjoy just the right amount of spice. The fillings for both the tacos and nachos were incredible, unlike anything I’ve had before. The brownie was also spot-on, with a generous side of liquid chocolate that made it even better. Can’t wait to explore more from the menu next time!

Restaurant Bob's Cafe Muswell Hill, North London On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, I took my two adult children (22 and 19) out for lunch in the Muswell Hill area. I chose Bob's Cafe on Muswell Hill Broadway, as I had enjoyed a visit there pre-COVID and was eager to see how they had fared since reopening. Both of my children have gluten intolerance, so I was pleased to find that Bob's Cafe offers gluten-free options on their menu. We kicked off our meal with some cocktails, classic nachos, and hummus served with gluten-free bread. I was upfront with the manager and staff about my role as a food critic, mentioning that my reviews had garnered over three million views in recent months. We then ordered Bob's Burger for myself and the same burger with gluten-free buns for my son, while my daughter opted for the chicken shawarma. The starters were decent, though I felt the gluten-free bread could have been toasted better. Traditionally, nachos come with a variety of toppings, but unfortunately, sour cream was noticeably absent this time. When our main courses arrived, my daughter's chicken shawarma was disappointing; it consisted of just two slices of chicken kebab accompanied by an unbalanced bitter sauce that made the dish difficult for her to enjoy. My burger was equally underwhelming—a chewy piece of meat that seemed more fat than actual beef, reminiscent of a fast-food experience rather than a quality meal. I brought these concerns to the manager's attention, but she responded with a simple, "I’m sorry you didn’t like it," before walking away. As I know, shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish made from marinated chicken that is seasoned with spices like cumin, paprika, turmeric, and garlic, then cooked on a vertical rotisserie. It should be served sliced thinly, either in a wrap or on a platter with sides like rice, hummus, or tabbouleh for a fulfilling experience. Despite the sweet demeanor of our waitress, who tried to coax the manager back to address our issues, the manager's lack of engagement left much to be desired. We ended up with a bill of over £100, but our disappointment overshadowed any satisfaction from the meal. We chose to seek dessert elsewhere, heading to “Planet Organic”. Given our experience, I can only award Bob's Cafe two stars—one for the starters and another for the kind waitress who was clearly new and seemed uncomfortable with the situation. My critique of the gluten-free bread and the nachos was sincere, and I stand by it. If the sour cream was indeed present, it didn’t meet my expectations, and I believe that’s worth mentioning. I appreciate that you could accommodate my kids' gluten intolerance. It’s a shame the gluten-free bread didn’t get the same VIP treatment; maybe next time I’ll bring a toaster? About the sour cream on my nachos—who knew it was playing hide and seek? I’ll be sure to bring a magnifying glass next visit. Came across bob’s cafe as I did a special workout class with body by Ciara and dinner package at bob’s cafe. I was blown away from the experience. Imagine +40 very chatty energised women in one go. Bob’s cafe handled all of our orders perfectly. Even refilling our water pitchers without asking (which sometimes you don’t get when on a table for 2 in some places). The food was amazing - recommend the veggie chilli bowl! It was the perfect place to end our day! Thanks a lot and I’ll be coming back soon!

My aunt and I came here for lunch and loved it! The decor of the restaurant is very calming and classy and the staff are fantastic, so very attentive and friendly. We ordered the cheeseburger and the chicken schnitzel burger which arrived in less than 10 minutes and was very delicious. I highly recommend this place, it’s quickly going to become a new favourite I think!

Been here a few times! Great food and service! Only thing, if your autistically sensitive to texture (like me) don’t get the Madame bob, or maybe ask for the bottom to be toasted!!

A busy café 8n the heart of Muswell Hill. We arrived in the pouring rain without a booking and were taken right to the back of the building - initially a bit miffed we realised it was best for us and our wet dog! I ordered coffee immediately and the very attentive staff were helpful and quick. Once ordered our breakfasts arrived quickly, food was hot and fresh. Everything was delicious in our full English - we decided to try the French toast and pancakes on our next visit!

They held a table for six for us in the window despite it being so busy. The manager made us feel like stars in our own show. The food was prompt and delicious. And the whole team did a great job in ensuring we had a great time. Five stars all round

Stumbled upon this restaurant when walking between Finsbury Park and Ally Pally. Really great food and fantastic service, all reasonably priced.

I went back today and ordered the Korean cauliflower with miso, our waitress asked after I ordered if I was vegetarian. I said yes, she advised me that the cauliflower is fried in the same oil as meat!!!!!! So why is this dish classed as a vegan dish on the menu!!! Its not, its cross contaminated as its fried in the same oil as meat!!! This is not acceptable for any vegetarian or vegan customers. She also advised its because they only have 1 fryer!!! REALLY????? We ordered chips aswell check out the menu it's classed as Vegan....that must be fried in the same oil too correct??? I have now been really put off by this that I can't go back....I have been in this restaurant numerous times and had this dish and no one has advised me of this....I actually feel sick at the thought of what I have eaten now!!! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND THIS IS FALSE INFORMATION! The menu on the website classes this dish as Vegan!! How can this be vegan when you have fried in same oil as meat!!! I am not from London. This is a lot more than a cafe where I come from. It is more of a restaurant that does breakfasts.

We went on a Wednesday night, half full restaurant, the food was good but service was AWFUL. We had to ask for everything, can we order drinks, where are our drinks, please can we get sauces, please can we have the bill (often twice) the only time initiative was taken was to clear our plates :/ quite disappointing

I was raised as a vegetarian since birth I am not a converted one . I do not want to eat fake meat which looks and tastes like real one . It is for people who have become vegetarian in later life and miss eating meat. I was served a veg burrito with fake lamb in it .It was not mentioned in the description of the dish. I felt a bit wierd taste and texture while eating it , so I stopped and enquired to make sure . They said it is so called " vegetarian lamp " . I explained that I can not eat it .They took it back . They looked quite perplexed and a but annoyed. I asked for just chips . In the bill, I was still charged for the burrito. They just discounted the drink £3.5. So I ended up with no luch but had to pay for it . I think it was really bad and felt decriminated as a vegetarians. They should clearly describe dishes. I am not going back to Bob's cafe .

A really stand-out restaurant for both quality of food and service. The menu has a fantastic range of delicious dishes. All great value for money. Fresh tasty ingredients and generous portions. The staff are brilliant. Top-notch service and super friendly and welcoming. Also a restaurant that is truly dog friendly. Not just that dogs are allowed but they are truly welcomed and celebrated! Love this restaurant- highly recommend.

If you are in Muswell Hill with family or on business, you cannot go wrong with Bobs Cafe. Just had a lovely breakfast watching the world go by.

Bob's Cafe is a spacious all day brunch restaurant right in the heart of Muswell hill. It extends quite far inside, so you can be sure to find a space to sit - even with groups. When we entered, we were greeted promptly and nicely. The staff was quick to help and food was served only after a few minutes. The drinks were really nice, especially the coolers. The food was tasty and the portions quite large, so you can be sure to be satisfied at the end! On star reduction mainly due to the addition of herb/garlic butter to the schnitzel. The lemon would've been sufficient and the butter takes away from the schnitzel flavor. Other than that I would definitely recommend!

Few things give you a simpler joy than a nice Sunday brunch overlooking the city from Muswell Hill at Bob's cafe. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is phenomenal. The food is itself excellent, and the staff are always welcoming. The only downsides are that the menu is extremely heavy on eggs - the savoury brunch options without eggs are quite limited (which can be understandable for a brunch menu, but there should at least be an option to sub them out). It would be great if the two person tables were more comfortable and/or slightly larger, too

Wonderful café in the heart of Muswell Hill! Decor is enveloping and immersive. Service is just top-notch! Our waitress was extremely helpful, attentive and efficient. We had a happy tea and even without us asking for it, she kindly brought us a pot with extra hot water when she noticed that our cups were half-empty and the tea got cold as we were drinking it slowly. Food is of the highest standard as well. The menu offers plenty of vegan and gluten-free dishes. Thank you Bob’s, we had a fantastic lunch here with friends who were equally impressed. Highly recommend this place!

I went today with my ma and my sister and we had an incredible experience. The atmosphere was lovely; relaxed but bright, the music was played loud enough to hear but low enough to not impair conversation. All the members of staff were attentive, friendly and so very wonderful. The food was fantastic and filling (I wish we had taken more pictures). We absolutely loved our visit and will definitely return again!

Yet to have a bad time here. Good, filling food at a great price for London. Great service even when very busy. Expect a short wait on peak hours, it's a local favourite spot. I always make time to eat here when I'm in town.

My go to food when I’m in London! A great selection of yummy food, for breakfast lunch and dinner with a strong variety and veggie options. Food is great quality and made in good time! Chicken tacos and avocado smash burger go hard. The cafe is cute with a cosy atmosphere which is helped by very friendly and helpful staff, both waiters and managers make you feel like family! Great beverage selection as well and some of the best coffee I’ve had!

I have often dropped into Bob’s for a tea or a bite to eat. Without exception the staff have been terrific, the food delicious (and clearly prepared very carefully) and the atmosphere welcoming. Anecdotally, this would seem to be the consensus amongst most people I know on Muswell Hill too. Highly recommended.

My chicken was literally raw ! They snatched it away when I complained before I could get a picture of it ! This has given me food poisoning and made me ill ! The staff was rude when complained and got really defensive. The manager was friendly and tried to help the situation but it was gone past that point. Definitely avoid !

My wife and I had dinner on 9th May in Bob's Cafe. We have been before and the food is always great. Two problems on this visit, the second I am now told has happened to a friend before. Just inside the door sitting on the left at tables for two were two women one of whom had a dog on her lap with its paws on the table and was being fed food from her plate. This is unhygienic and should not be allowed. Contact between animals and humans can transfer disease. The other issue was that a tall, young asian man was serving us. He is very efficient however he went from different tables to the serving area and then collected bin liners of rubbish which he took out the back door and put in the bins alongside Sainsbury's. On coming back in he went straight to the serving area and brought us two desserts without making any effort to wash his hands. I pointed this out to him and he seemed surprised. Whilst we were speaking another member of staff ( a female) did exactly the same, took rubbish bags out of the back door then returned directly to the serving area and collected food on plates and took these to tables. This is completely unacceptable. The male member of staff did come back to our table to say he had washed his hands after we asked him to but it wasn't obvious. There is a 5 star hygiene rating on the front door of Bob's but in practice these practices present a threat to diners and more staff training and understanding is required. We will not be returning to Bob's whilst these practices (dog's and bin contact) continue and reserve the right to inform Haringey Council. Our dinner cost over over £75, as I say the food is v good but there is a lot of room for improvement given the profit made at this restaurant.

came here after an article that mentioned this place being a nice laptop-friendly spot to work at, which I referred to the hostess straight away at my arrival. I was sat and my order was taken, only after that turned out the wifi was not working. Neither my laptop or phone were connecting, so the problem was with the network itself. They said they restarted the router but nothing changed. 0 work done but service charge applied. Pretty place and service is okay but don’t recommend yourself as a laptop-friendly if your connection doesn’t work.

I had brunch this time (but had dinner another time too) on both occasions, I must say the food does not taste very fresh. It is a bit of a shame as the menu looks very good. The service and atmosphere is great though.

Cute cafe located in the heart of Muswell Hill. My partner and I went for breakfast on Saturday morning. Never been to Bobs cafe before and was pleasantly surprised by the decor. The menu was quite standard for breakfast so I went for the usual avocado on toast, I was slightly annoyed that they wanted to charge £1.50 for a poached egg and £2.50 for one sausage. I opted for the egg and bacon in the end however when the food came the bacon was the tinies piece which was slightly disappointing. It did all taste great! My partner had the ham and cheese sandwich with an egg on top. It sounded great on the menu but unfortunately the bread was not toasted and it was overall quite soggy with too much cheese. We informed the waiter about the dish being disappointing and they did take one cup of tea off the bill as a gesture of good will. Overall the cafe was ok.

Very nice place, welcoming and perfect for a quiet dinner. The Nachos are excellent and the plate is best shared by 2-3, the portion is huge! The Chicken Teryakis are well designed and well cooked but the freshness depends on the day, for us they were a little dry. That remains my opinion however. The burgers are gourmet and homemade, at a very good price for London. I really recommend because on a weekday evening (Monday) the service was perfect with a very understanding waitress and bartender, happy to welcome adventurous and hungry French people! Very nice address

They have gluten free options, out toast was actually properly toasted nice and brown (a rarity these days!), our eggs were hot and cooked exactly right, my almond flat white was perfect. The team here is always so friendly, helpful and efficient. No wonder there was a queue!

Lovely spot for a weekend brunch, 10/10 service by friendly and cheerful staff! Our water glasses were topped up regularly, we received very attentive service with all staff paying great care for detail (quickly provided extra cutlery when asked, plates taken away when our food was finished). Food was delicious, and the environment was warm and welcoming with a cosy but spacious interior.

Walked in and loved the look and vibe of the place, light, nicely decorated, lots of green. Greeted with a friendly smile and that set the tone for the rest of the service - kind, attentive, made to feel very welcome and looked after. Rodiana was excellent and so friendly! Amazing options for food to choose from, multiple vegan options to choose from. Ordered and the food came SO quickly yet was fresh and tasted incredible and was perfect portion size. Even a delicious biscoff vegan cheesecake for a post lunch treat. Everything delicious. Also nice gender neutral and accessible bathrooms. Ticks. Every. Box. Looking forward to eating there again.

Lovely place, always busy so book if you have a group. If you want somewhere super quiet this isnt quite the right place for you but its got a friendly vibe and a good buzz. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the menu is varied and they have a gluten conscious menu too. Its family and dog friendly which is a bonus and their business cards have seeds embeded in them so you can plant and grow stuff at home- lovely touch. Access wise there is one step up into the cafe with a sharp right turn at the door, tables by the window would be suitable for a wheelchair user but access through to the back may be more tricky (although im sure the staff would do what ever they could to accomodate). Like I say, it can get busy and noisy so if you are someone who is sensitive to loud noises id avoid the obvious weekend rush or book ahead and ask for a booth at the side where you are slightly away from others. 🙂

I recently visited a local cafe restaurant on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is great, with plenty of comfortable seating, and the staff are professional and friendly. They offer a varied menu, and I highly recommend Bob’s Cheeseburger – it was delicious. Their coffee is also excellent. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I'll definitely repeat.

This place is very good quality wise but let themselves down on overpricing , smallest breakfast I’ve ever seen for over the top money and when asked for a slice of toast ( we only got half a slice ) we were charged £2.50!! For that reason I’d not go back, plus the noisy kids, not for me

However, our recent experience has compelled me to share our disappointment. During our breakfast today, we found the bacon to be excessively dry, and the shakshuka had an unpleasant leftover smell. Unfortunately, this left us feeling unwell, prompting us to cut short our visit. To add to our dismay, the manager's lack of assistance and rudeness further marred the overall experience. As long-time customers, we have always appreciated the ambiance and service at bob cafe but this particular visit fell far below our expectations. Just wanted breakfast and told we had an hour. Then asked to hurry about half an hour my different staff randomly. Food was garbage too coffee ok. Really unpleasant hence motivation to review.

Wow what a well managed place! All staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, a huge and varied menu at reasonable prices. We had the Californian tacos with chicken and the schnitzel burger. We were seated next to the kitchen and literally drooled over what was coming out. The staff were also very supportive of each other which was a joy to see. We’ll be back for sure!

This is a good local cafe offering a selection of interesting dishes with a Middle Eastern inclination. We've visited a few times for lunch and have always been happy with our selections of houmous, eggs, flatbread, avocado and the like. The food is tasty and we've always walked away feeling like we've enjoyed a decent meal. It does what it says on the tin I guess and that's absolutely enough.

On a frozen day with 2° outside we had to spent at least 15 min with the backdoor open because the delivery expected at 7 it was late, no one give us the choice of changing table even when there were empty tables, the reason? if you don't book them you don't have the right to use them instead enjoy the coldest lunch time ever. Pour service, pour response, in top of that instead of giving a honest apology, they don't forgot a service charge of 12,5% that of course I didn't pay. Sad experience because we rated best place in the area place for years.

Went last night for the first time and it was amazing! Had the best peri peri kababs with chopped salad and cous cous it was absolutely delicious! The staff were very attentive and friendly which is rare these days. I will definitely go back.

Really lovely cafe, ordered the Katsu curry and the pancakes, both were very nice! The food came quickly and the staff were very kind. Dog and family friendy, worth a visit for sure!

I ordered take away dessert and the packaging was terrible. They put the ice cream with the dessert was not the same as dine in

Always great food and service, can be quite noisy and busy for brunch with families and dogs. At other times it is much quieter and can enjoy a nice meal alone or with friends.

So glad we found this place, on a day out (not local) - delicious food, with superb service. Portions really good. Can’t fault it in any way.

Have to say just come back from an amazing evening at Bobs . We loved it, a great warm welcome on a wet windy evening . Cosy table at the back brilliant waitress lovely attentive and very helpful and friendly. Service The food was hot tasty and well seasoned top marks chefs . Nice to get wine by carafe too not often seen . We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you team

Delicious food, great service and super-friendly staff. Parking directly outside along with tables to sit and enjoy the sun. Highly recommended - definitely coming back again soon.
