Can get pretty packed on the weekends, but the food and coffee is very nice. I only wish they had more vegan options! Aside from the vegan breakfast and avocado on toast, there isn't anything else on the menu I can enjoy. I do appreciate the recent change to the vegan breakfast that reduced the number of sauces, olives, jam, etc. and the amount of bread - I like a big portion, but I'm sure this way not as much is going to waste!

Perfect brunch, the menu is great, good coffee and great environment. Never queued more than 10 minutes for a table either.

Went there with my partner . I had the Turkish eggs, and he had the full English breakfast . The food was good , however, I feel the place is too overhyped. Will try to give it another chance and probably go for something else.

This place used to be excellent but the quality has gone significantly downhill. We ordered the beam benedict and the halloumi salad and we were highly disappointed with both. The ingredients were not fresh, the sauces were overpowering and too heavy and overall it was nauseating and unhealthy. Such a disappointment.

I wasn’t sure how savoury bacon would go with sweet pancakes. The answer..very well! Really tasty meal. One tip is not to put too much syrup on the pancakes as it spoils the fruity and other flavours.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would! Horrendous customer service!!! Staff were unbelievably miserable. Had to chase them to be served and asked three times for the bill. It wasn’t even busy. The food was nasty!! I would never go back here!!!

This is the best for breakfast I’ve been impressed every-time . I love how well managed it is and presentation and food quality is 5 star . I do wish they had one in every area as they could become huge !

Stopped by for a late breakfast/brunch with some friends. Our first time trying beam. Really friendly staff and tasty food. I loved the beam benedict. The crispy egg and sausage patty were so good. The shakshuka with sucuk was delicious. Just the right amount of spice and the sauce and eggs were cooked so well. And probably the nicest gluten free pancakes I've had. (Bonus that all their meats, apart from pork options are halal) Overall a lovely experience. I will be back!

The service was great and the food delicious. I highly recommend this lovely place.

It’s the best best best for gluten free. Service is excellent. My only quibble is I have to sit outside with my doggo but you know what it doesn’t matter even in January and they happily come outside to take your order. The furniture inside is super nice and comfy so that’s probably why.

Amazing food, and service, but it’s become very expensive

Food and staff were both great, the chicken salad was large and had a good amount of nicely cooked chicken with a tasty marinade. The coffee was also quality.

Got the Mediterranean breakfast, the borek was the best I’ve had in ages, didn’t like the creamy sauce that came along with it unfortunately, and the toast was abit on the dry side, but still enjoyed my meal as the taste was great.

Carrot cake was the best I’ve had in ages!

Beam is my favorite place in Crouch End and one of my favorite restaurants in London. All the dishes are exquisite, with very generous portions, from the brunches to the salads. Never has a dish disappointed me. There is a lot of space inside and even if there is a queue you never have to wait too long. The staff is very friendly and the entire place is very well adapted for babies (changing table and space for strollers). I always take my friends there because I love this place. A little gem!

Really nice cafe for brunch. Good selection of dishes. I had the half pancakes and the selection of toppings works really well together. I also enjoyed that there is pear juice on the menu! Big fan. Will be back again.

The service was good with friendly servers and was very quick. I enjoyed my meal. UPDATE: Visited again for brunch with my wheelchair bound mother. The staff were really helpful and even provided a ramp for the one step that was difficult to navigate. Again the service was very quick and the staff friendly and efficient. There was a queue and a short wait so I do wonder why there were two people using the café to work while not even ordering food or drink? Perhaps they are regular customers known by the owners but a bit annoying when they are so busy!

We have been regulars at this place for years but they have recently changed their menus and the old vegetarian/vegan favourites are either gone or substantially changed. Could understand the price increases to keep up with the costs, but there is no option to get the old and loved dishes even if paying for the sides etc. Shame! Hopefully the management sees it and introduces some more changes

Best brunch place in Crouch End! Food is amazing, especially the Turkish eggs and Shakshuka. Staff are super friendly and they really looked after the kids. It’s by far our favourite spot in the area.

I love this restaurant which offers good food at a reasonable price. It tends to be busy and you cannot book in advance but usually you do not have to wait long before being seated

Beam is a popular place for all day breakfast, I am writing this review so that hopefully The Management consider providing "TWO" eggs with their breakfast instead of charging an extra £3.12 for 1 tiny sized extra egg, Which brings the total cost of a veggie breakfast to a whopping £19. Otherwise, I admit it is a tasty a breakfast.

Superb cafe located within Crouch End. It was very but the wait time was small and the servers are very quick and polite. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. I will definitely come back here to try the other breakfasts

Very vibrant, lively, and fully friendly staff would definitely recommend a visit whether your in a group, couple or on your own you will feel welcomed and comfortable. The only thing that I could say but it's probably not even a big issue, was the Northfolk bacon was a bit too salty for me, other than that I can't fault the place.

Always an easy fix, Beam never disappoints, but in Crouch End, you get a little more via the super welcoming, and highly engaging service. The staff here are so friendly. The food’s great. Something for everyone. Also, the prices are very decent.

Nice decor, and good options on Menu. I’d heard great things about the brunch. Unfortunately when my Salmon & eggs arrived (priced at over £10, can’t quite remember) I received what I can only describe as a salmon shortage…! It’s a bit of a shame that the portion was so terrible, kind of marred the whole experience. My partner got a great breakfast, so sitting there comparing was quite disappointing. Probably wouldn’t order anything les then the full breakfasts if I returned, as I want to leave feeling like I had a good meal and I didn’t this time.

Happen to be in the area, I walked in for lunch . The place is spacious clean and warm . I had a kofta wrap which was absolutely delicious.

The best brunch in London. Visit Crouch end Beam often, the waitering team are so friendly, I never feel rushed and they are always so happy to have a chat. The food is unbelievable, especially the French toast! My favourite spot is outside on the decking, watching the world go by :)

Looks can be deceiving. Nicely decorated brunch place serving brunch dishes with a middle eastern twist. At first glance the dishes are very appealing and vibrant. Nevertheless I was disappointed on taking the first bite. The Beam Benedict I ordered had a chewy under seasoned lamb patty and the flavour of the overall dish was merely carried by the harissa hollandaise. I'm just disappointed that the looks did not match the taste, a small tweaks could easily make this a 5 star dish.

Excellent burger and fries (chips) in a small out-of-the-way restaurant near my office... I was on town to visit and went to Beam with two colleagues. My burger was excellent and the fries were awesome - hot, crispy and salted just so. Really, really good place and the service was great. Londoners - this place is off the beaten path but go!!!

I always pass Beam on my way to work and finally got a chance to go. It was fairly busy but there were still tables free, it was nice that the staff gave us a choice to sit further in the cafe or near the entrance. My friend ordered a smoothie and I got the gluten free buttermilk pancakes (half stack). I decided to not get bacon with it and was asked if I'd like to replace it with anything else. I wasn't sure what was on offer so I asked and the staff kindly suggested that banana was a good replacement so I went for that instead :) would love to come by again and get their full breakfast dishes.

I stumbled on this place after attempting to go to a different brunch spot which was closed. I immediately went to social media to get more of an insight of Beam and was impressed by what I saw. I went to the front desk to speak to the women behind it. I was asked by one member of staff TWICE if I was "taking away." This was odd, as I've never walked into an establishment and the have excitedly asked me multiple times if I'll be going away to eat my food. I said "I'd like to eat in if that's okay" because it felt like it wasn't okay. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast, specifically asking for the dairy components to be removed. My breakfast arrived with feta cheese on the tomato. I politely addressed this with the server who said "yes, but you never said you didn't want cheese" with a smirk on her face. Um, since when was feta cheese not dairy? I was already distrusting this establishment so when she reluctantly offered to have the food made again, I declined and said I'd just scrape the blocks of feta off. Whilst I enjoyed my food, that same server kept coming over to peek at me. I felt like I was under surveillance. Also, where I was sat was by the corner; there was nobody else in that area so I was aware she was watching me. Once I finished my food, and the server had peered at me multiple times, I had to get up to pay. She saw me at the front and insisted that she hadn't realised I'd finished my food and was coming over with the card machine. Yeah...okay. As much as I enjoyed the food here, I doubt I'll be dining here again. The staff were unnecessarily hostile and I don't expect to be treated in such a way as a paying customer.

Weekend around breakfast and lunch, one stands in a queue that moves quite quickly. There's a good reason. The food and service here are excellent. Innovative breakfast and lunch dishes in ample portions and the best coffee. Definitely the local favorite in Crouch End.

Great atmosphere and decoration with lots of space and comfy chairs. Service was very good and food served quickly. Food was fresh and delicious. Definitely reccomend for a brunch with kids or friends!

Food is delicious, staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and lots of options on the menu. It is also family friendly so depending on when you go can be a bit busy, for those wanting to do some laptop work or read I recommend early afternoons!

Great food, we loved both the brunch dishes we got and portions were generous. Prices corresponding to the size and quality, so fair. The place is nicely made and feels comfy. Ambient is not bad but feels (not asked) a bit in a rush like things need to move fast. I would prefer a more cosy chilling vibes. Would visit again for sure.

Such a lovely breakfast, incredibly tasty and well made. I had the Turkish eggs which were to die for. Espresso was bang on and great quality. Have to say was rather pricey at £41 for 2 people, so will save for special occasions.

I didn't make a great meal choice trying something new, but they had many options I would definitely go for. There was a queue as this place is very popular. My cousin got there early enough to avoid the queue. The place was packed and buzzing. A great noisy vibe. We went on a Sunday when parking is free.

the avocado toast is a must!! it’s so yummy. really beautiful atmosphere and lovely comfy seats. the breakfast burrito is 10/10. would highly recommend for a lovely brunch date <3

I like this place, the coffe is excellent just like the atmosphere. Staff members are polite and kind. But, and that is a big " BUT" for a place like this is a shame not having , offering any gluten free options. Its really outdated nowadays. Any place which would like to be considered as GREAT , would be some glutenfree, diary free options or the menu. So unfortunately , despite how the menu and the meals look so awasome, I never able to order anything else with my family and my friends, only coffee. Which is anyway ridicolous, as most of the meal which is made on toast for example could be done with gluten free bread, as just all kind of pasta. Many people avoiding gluten not because they are allergic to it, but because its unhealthy. So the only reason why I cannot give 5 stars , its because of being non flexible when it comes to health.

Brunch at Beam is always a good idea! I have been several times over the years and I’m impressed by their food and service. Even at its busiest times they don’t take too long to bring out the food. Staff are attentive and friendly. Food portions are great.. my favourite dish is the Mediterranean breakfast. A must visit if in north london.

I had a lovely bit bruncheon here with two of my pals. The staff were lovely and attentive and made sure we had all we need. Portions were generous portions mind, so you'll get a good feed and the coffee is good too. It was pretty busy being a Sunday morning, but the atmosphere was still quite relaxed tbh and everything ran smoothly so yes, would recommend!

Excellent café with delicious food. At busy times, particularly weekend mornings, it can get very loud and almost oppressive. At less busy times, the atmosphere is great, and the staff always make you feel welcome.

Two completely different experiences. The first eat-in experience at Beam was more than pleasant. The food arrived quickly, the staff were attentive and the meal was your standard no-disappointment breakfast. The early morning take-out however, was just shy of atrocious. Came for egg and sausage sandwiches, were charged £17.50 for dry and lacking meal that took 15min to get. The bread was unbuttered and the yolk was solid so it very much felt like eating a couple of coasters. Had to save with tomato sauce but it didn’t go a very long way as I discovered the other half of my sandwich was lacking an egg completely. Will I be back? Maybe. Only if I’m forced to by somebody.

Great local brunch spot serving excellent food and with great service. Always busy but the wait is never too long for a table and also happy to accommodate lone diners. Menu has great options and drinks are consistently good. Highly recommend.

A great crouch end restaurant for breakfast and lunch. You can come here for something as simple as a flat white or to meet with a large group over lunch. The restaurant is consistently busy so try to plan ahead accordingly. Everything I’ve had on the menu so far has been great and I’d highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Sad to leave this review as I had high hopes for Beam :( Really didn’t enjoy the food as I found it quite bland and also sickly at the same time. Even hours later I still feel a bit off after eating it. The latte I had was meh too. On the plus side it is cute inside and the food did come relatively quickly. Overall, I’m not sure if I just ordered the ‘wrong’ thing or if Beam really is just overhyped. I much prefer Melange down the road where I’ve been a couple of times now
