Caffe Venecia Ltd in Kirklees

This charming cafeteria is located close to Huddersfield's rail and bus stations. The service is good and the place is clean and ambient. I ordered the Summer Vegetable Panini, which was delicious. The bread was of great quality. It's a great place to eat and drink in Huddersfield.

Lovely staff, great atmosphere and incredible food/drinks. Very convenient location but never too busy. Highly recommend

Come here at least once a week for a coffee and a cake with family and friends. Fast service and super friendly staff. Food and coffee is beautiful. One of my favourite places to come and watch the world go by.

Beautiful service from all the staff….so welcoming on arrival….customer service is absolutely Outstanding….Latte so smooth especially with my request of chocolate sprinkles….which are real chocolate not powder so added bonus….scones absolutely gorgeous & cheese & onion toasties absolutely rammed…..will be returning for our family meet ups regularly…..Excellent all round definitely 5****

Pre Covid we were regular visitors, today was our first visit in a long time. A rustic baguette, halloumi bagel and 2 cappuccinos. Coffee was amazing and the food well presented and excellent quality. Highly recommended, we’ll be back soon.

As I work very close by I was a very regular customer for this cafe before lockdown and was starting to return in February/March 2022. Often would get takeaway coffee and scone but had also enjoyed lunch there with friends and family on a number of occasions. As of last month I will never go there again. I arrived c 8.40 and requested a black Americano and scone to take out. It took nearly 20 minutes to be served yet it was not at all busy. The guy serving said he had needed to “heat the scone” When I got to my desk 2 minutes away I found the scone really stale and was not able to eat it. I can only imagine it was leftover from the previous day and was not fit to sell. So I won’t be using this cafe again and will be telling all my work colleagues about my experience. You might have made a couple of pounds from me on that visit but you have lost much more that I will now be spending elsewhere

I was visiting Huddersfield for just a few hours and was looking for a coffee house for a bit of breakfast. I came across Caffe Venecia, was warmly welcomed in by a member of the team. I ordered cappuccino and a sausage sandwich/bap, which came in good time. The cappuccino was one of the best, if not the best, I had ever tasted. The toilet facilities were very clean and spacious and I would wholeheartedly recommend this friendly cafe to visit if in Huddersfield

Coming from Barnsley I only ever visit this cafe. Tony and his staff are so friendly and helpful and the food, coffees and teas are second to none.

Highly recommend cafe venecia. It’s one of the best cafes in town by far. Staff are very friendly and welcoming whenever visiting, the food is served fresh and the drinks are the best would definitely recommend the flat white coffee.

This place is amazing - such a shame it's in grotty Huddersfield town. It would best suit a lovely European town or village. The staff are super-efficient and friendly. There is a great choice of food and drink all of which is of a fair price.The atmosphere is wonderful, so too is the furniture. My favourite is the hot chocolate. The owner is absolutely adorable and friendly. I would highly recommend you visit this place if you so should happen to stumble across Huddersfield town. It is the best cafe in this town by far.

Caffe Venecia is independently run. There's home cooked scones and cakes. The service is excellent, the atmosphere good. There's also a good range of teas - I recommend the smoky Russian which is unlike any tea I've ever drunk.Worth a visit.

Was in Huddersfield and tried this cafe Not bad coffee but I wouldn’t recommend the almond and raspberry tray bake as whoever made them put the whole bottle of almond essence in !!It made it too overpowering , I didn’t enjoy this cake at all. I’ll still visit this cafe but will avoid the almond slice

I have passed this place hundreds of times and never went in. I was greeted by a friendly chap, whom was more than happy to talk coffee with me. He was very informative and polite.The coffee tasted great. I’ll be back to figure out the sand glass timers

I met a colleague for a quick lunch and coffee before a meeting and I was very impressed. Great choice of food and very quick friendly service. My bagel was absolutely lovely would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Not called for a while as life gets in the way, but now reminded how good everything is we will be calling more often! We love the variety of teas available and the personal touch of the egg timers to get the best brew for your chosen blend. However the star of this visit was the sharing mezze platter. There was more than enough food for 2, which was all of excellent quality. This included bread, 5 various cheeses, 3 meats, 6 small sides including gherkins, onions and hummus. An absolute feast and incredible value for money.The atmosphere was welcoming, chilled and relaxing, and all staff seemed happy to be there and enjoyed serving us. We rarely add reviews, unless particularly memorable, but this time felt the whole experience deserved recognition.

We ordered the chai latte, plain hot chocolate, sweet chilli panini and the spicy italian panini which was absolutely delicious! Both me and my mum we’re very curious about trying Matcha tea and the guy made us one for free to try! Been here a few times and would definitely recommend!

Just got reaquainted with this fabulous spot after a 4 year abscense (dont know why) tony the owner runs an excellent venetian themed establishment with the best tasting tea and the tastiest prepared sandwiches with lovely salad/dressing. If you meet tony he simply oozes style and quite frankly looks like he was born to do this show. Im not one to be critical of competitors but my view is why join lengthy queues in other well known coffee shop chains who produce non personal refreshments for the masses when you can sample the delights of places like this for a very similar price. No packet sandwiches here !!The staff treat you like royalty with impeccable manners. Keep up the good work guys. Great reviews dont lie .

Caffe Venecia has everything I want in a cafe - good coffee, delicious food, pleasant staff and reasonable prices. Even better, it is now open on Sundays too. I especially love their bagel with hummus and roasted vegetables.

Just started opening on a Sunday and we hope they do well. Just a bit off the main shopping street so perhaps they need to advertise the new opening hours. Lovely friendly staff, excellent coffees and wonderful variety of sandwiches, panini and cakes etc. A very good place to meet and eat.

I didn't even know this cafe existed until a couple of months ago. It seemed busy and bustling so thought we would try it. Mw and hubby were very impressed by the young lady (glasses) and guy (owner?) who served us. Flawless manners and service. The coffee 10/10. The sausage and bacon butties 10/10. Very good value. Most places in hudds are a rip off but this place tempted us back many times since with always the same service. Brilliant. Keep up the good work guys.

I dined here yesterday and whilst the food was ok that’s all it was. I ordered a toasted hummus and feta wrap. To be honest I could hardly taste hummus, there was hardly any in it and at £6.50 it was just such a huge disappointment. I’d return here for a cup of tea but not to dine because I think there’s better value for food out there.

Tried all the new coffee places in town and Caffe Venecia is still the best in my opinion. Quality is consistent and the service is second to non. A huge plus is that the place is always clean unlike Costa and Starbucks where often the tables are filthy and you must ask a member of staff to clean them before you can sit down.

Usually meet friends here once a month as we like the atmosphere, the food and the staff. It's always busy at lunchtimes but we have never had to wait long for our meals. We never feel as if we have to leave soon after eating which is good as we always have lots to chat about! We certainly would not keep going back if there was anything to dislike as there is plenty of competition in town.

We had a toastie and a panini to eat which were delicious but the milk shake and latte I had were to die for the best I’ve ever had . Been before and will deffinatly be going back

I thought the owner was |Italian but he is Indian spending a lot of time in Italy. Coffees excellent, knows exactly how to make a cappuccino which many dont in Huddersfield. Only one small complaint, not comfortable going in on ones own to take up a able space for tree or four and also I dont feel overly welcome. I wouldn't go back as a solo but definitely with friends.

Called in for a latte after some light shopping and a eye test at specsavers. I'd missed breakfast, and it was 'noonish' so I thought I'd have some cheese on toast, as this was'nt on the menu, I opted for a cheese & onion toasted sandwich for my brunch. I sat in a comfy chair by the window my latte was served within 2 minutes, my toastie followed not long after. This was tasty with the red onion inside, served with a small salad side of cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrot + mixed leaves. The tomatoes went well with the cheese toastie, a lady shared my table after I'd been seated a while, and we had a nice chat while we drank our drinks, A pleasant brunch and comfortable conversation on a trip in town.

Called in here a couple of weeks ago for coffee. My cappuccino was delicious and came with proper chocolate on the top. Booked afternoon tea for my friend and I which we had today.

I've been attending this great place since day one the service so lovely and the coffee and Tea choice is the best in town and done too a high standard . I always look forward to my poach egg on toast on Fridays . Very worth a visit Richard and Jane x

My wife and I moved to Huddersfield a couple of years ago, and quickly discovered Cafe Venecia. We go there about every fortnight for a coffee, and every so often for lunch. The atmosphere is civilised; it's usually full with people like us, who know what they want. The service is competent and attentive without being fussy. The food is well-presented, and excellent value. We have never been let down in scores of visits. I was amazed by the few previous poor reviews; they don't at all represent our experience, and I was surprised by the unkind and arrogant tone of the writing. Please don't be put off by these reviews, because this is a well run cafe with something distinctive and precious to offer customers.

Another great Coffee and friendly and fast service. With the plethora of cafes in Huddersfield this has quickly become a favourite.

Went for afternoon tea which was served on a little picnic bench..how sweet!! The food looked & tasted delicious...a great selection of sandwiches & cakes we took the red velvet cake home with us! Reasonably priced & friendly staff ...we'll definitely go again!! Thank you for a lovely experience.

A pleasant location with friendly staff. Drinks were reasonably priced and quick to be made. Tea also came with a timer for the perfect brew which was a novel little extra touch!

This is the first place I head for when I get to town. Staff Happy and friendly. Fresh flowers on tables, clean and tastefully decorated. Big choice of teas and coffee and Staff knowledgeable about the different ones. Food is freshly prepared and nothing too much trouble. They also have toasted crumpets which is a rarity. Background music is soft and suits the ambiance of the place. What is really nice is it's the only place I know of where older people can meet and feel comfortable. No loud music or loud groups, people hogging tables and sharing one coffee, reps having meetings and tapping away on laptops etc. Once you have been a couple of times the staff remember you and often what you order. You are treated like friends rather than customers. Can't praise the place highly enough. Long may they continue. xxx

This is a busy little place and you can see why, the coffee is excellent, my husband says the best double espresso in town, and the food consistently good. There is an excellent choice of speciality teas which come in metal teapots with a rack of ‘timers’ to tell you when your tea is brewed to suit your taste – a brilliant idea. As well as the usual Sandwiches, Paninis and Cakes there are some usual dishes on the menu for a coffee shop, such as a Meze to share £12.50 and a bottle of Prosecco for £5.00, certainly something very different to try for lunch, whereas in a restaurant you would probably be expected to order more. The Sandwiches are freshly made and delicious as are the different varieties of Paninis.The staff are friendly, efficient and courteous – a great asset to any business. Caffe Venecia is now becoming our ‘regular’ lunch stop.

Absolutely the best coffee in Hudds.I'm always having moccha or latte - and that's the pure perfection.Also I need to mention panini - brie, cranberry and bacon. Just love it!One of the biggest portions served in coffee shops, so if u looking for lunch, which gonna make you full come here! Especially for that price!Staff is always nice and friendly :) Interior is not my cup of tea, a bit too much of everything but it's cosy and at that point I can understand that some people will like it. I prefer a bit modern spaces but at the end it's not how it looks, but how it tastes! And I said it's one of the best if not the best one.

Caffe Venecia always has a pleasant atmosphere and great service. Jazz music is always playing in the background and the coffee delicious. Recommend the sweet chilli chicken or bacon brie and cranberry panini.A lovely little coffee shop, it's both a shame and greatly deserved that it is so popular now.

Been here once or twice it's a bit cramped in places but the food and drink are very good lots of speciality teas nice sandwiches toast i.e. some panni etc well worth a visit

Visited Caffe Venecia whilst in Huddersfield, looked on Trip Adviser for 'cafes near me' and this one came up - what a find!! The hot chocolate was scrummy with lots of cream and marshmallows and the price was very reasonable, cheaper than those of the major chains of coffee shops. As an extra bonus, whilst having my drink the Manager came up and gave me 60p back - he realised I had been wrongly charged - I hadn't. Very friendly and polite. Would definately recommend and I will make a point of visiting again if ever back in Huddersfield as it was the best hit chocolate drink I have ever had.

Just love this coffee shop, ideally located in the town centre. serving hot & cold drinks and a variety of fruit teas with beautiful aromas , and a great menu choice. A delightful place to sit and enjoy a chai latte or cappuccino . Lovely decor a massive Italian influence pictures of a gondolas on the back wall which is eye catching. comfortable seating area and excellent customer service from the staff . I must emphasize the owner Tony Singh has been a true gentleman, willing to go the extra mile for his customers at every occasion.

Being too early for my specsavers appointment, I called for a Latte at Caffe Venecia, it was fairly busy with customers having light lunches. I ordered a regular Latte & some choc orange tiffin [it looked tasty], it was, very orangy and rich. the latte came in a pretty bowl shaped glass vessel, that was doubled glass for insulation and was easy to use. it was very nice,and i passed 25 minutes in pleasant surroundings and with tasty refreshments. the staff were smiley and polite, I paid a call to the loo before I left, Its clean and spacious/ well equipped.

Definitely the best coffee in Huddersfield town centre. We tried Cafe Venecia for the first time last week & were not disappointed. I had the sweet chilli panini & my wife had a toastie. Both excellent & fresh. & The coffee is superb!

We have visited Caffe Venicia a few times and have found ourselves going back for more! The variety of delicious teas, my favourite being the Smokey Russian and the excellent varied menu is second to none. The staff are always friendly and the service is quick. On top of this the cafe is incredibly clean with comfortable seating. Would recommend to anyone.

I have been aware of this place for a couple of years but never made the time to go . What a mistake. This is a fabulous place. The decor , service and general ambiance is just right. I only went for a coffee and soup with my son , but it was clear from the full house and broad range of customer types and ages that it appeals to a wide range of people. Looking forward to my next visit.

pretty noisy and can struggle to get a seat as the place is small. Good coffee but on the expensive side and I had to wait half an hour for mine after staff repeatedly forgot...It's at the top end of town and fairly tucked away so probably word of mouth makes it popular.

This little place at the top end of huddersfield town near the bus station and sainsburys. Caffe Venezia as the name would suggest reminds me of Italy. The coffee is Devine. Best cappucino outside of Venice. They serve food too. Even better they have a loyalty card so hopefully not to far in the future I will be getting a cappucino for free. Yippee.

we called for some lunch whilst in town, our first visit here, i've wanted to try it out before. lovely place, smaller than it looks online [must be the venice views]. i chose a bacon/mozzerella/tomato/red pesto panini and hubby chose toasted bagel with salmon, cream cheese/cucumber, both sandwiches came with a lovely little salad. they were both delicious [mine had a lot of tasty bacon]. hubby had a latte, which was larger than the norm. i had a sweet teapot with timer, of 'afternoon tea', which had a nice aroma as well as taste. the staff were very nice and polite. i paid a call to the loos, which was clean and well equipped . we enjoyed our visit Thankyou!.

What I love is that you get an excellent espresso , small biscuit and glass of lovely , cold water brought to your table !!!! And the staff are efficient AND friendly without being OTT.

I go here regularly as it's very friendly, doesn't have loud music blaring out so you can have a conversation without shouting. Everything is spotless and as for the food it's great from the cheese toasties to the salads. The coffee is great and the choice of tea is great.

I love this cafe and go whenever I meet friends for coffee or a snack. Just one drawback, one day we ordered coffees, teas and toasted currant teacakes. The amount of butter in the dish was minute so we asked for more and we were told it was 30p extra per portion. I have been in lots of cafes and never have I been asked for more money for butter. Perhaps this should come under 'Customer service?' Everything else is perfect with very friendly staff.

It took me quite a time before I ventured into here mainly because where it was situated and on a busy road but desperate one day for a coffee I went in. Oh my what a find and wished I had entered sooner. It's clean, staff lovely, jazz music quietly playing in background, small vases of fresh flowers on every table, great decor and very clean toilets. It is just like sitting in a real Italian coffee shop. It isn't a huge place and I think this is what keeps the students out. Nothing against students but Huddersfield has a large university and most coffee places are meeting places for them which can be very crowded and noisy. You place your order at counter but then it is brought to your table. If you have tea they serve it with a timer so you can brew for 3, 4 or 5 minutes.As soon as I get off the bus I don't do anything else until I have been there for coffee and toast. Love it.

This was my second visit to this cafe for lunch. As before, everything was great. Service is prompt, the food is well cooked and beautifully presented. Plus the prices are very competitive.Today I had a jacket potato with tuna. The potato was perfect - fluffy in the centre, yet crispy skin. There was a good sized helping of tuna with it. I had a nice tea with it- served in an individual teapot, along with a timer - so you can tell how long to stew it for. There is a varied tea selection - a whole menu in fact.Afterwards I had an espresso and tiramisu. Delicious.I would recommend this cafe for anyone who wants great food at a reasonable price.I'll be back!

This is a relatively new cafe, in a part of town that badly needed a cafe. I visit once or twice a month, usually for informal work meetings. I like it: it is smallish and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The coffee is good, and the teas are served in unusual cast iron pots with little egg-timers, with a recommendation about how long they should be brewed. Sandwiches/pannini are pleasant and reasonable value. This is already one of Huddersfield's best cafes.

Wow! The coffee here is great and the staff are dead friendly. There are loads of different types of tea with cute teapots and it's all top quality.The decor is a bit uncool and old fashioned but I like it. All those hipster cafes are getting boring now

I am a regular here and it is my favourite place to go when in Huddersfield. They have a fantastic selection of teas, I have tried around 12 still with plenty more to go, though I do have my favourites. I am more of a tea drinker but have been told by family that it is one of the best coffees anywhere. Food is always delicious regardless of what I have ordered and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Pop into this place every morning for a coffee and a tea cake. The coffee is fantastic. Lovely staff. Very relaxing atmosphere before a hard days work.

I went to Caffe Venecia last week for the first time. I was there for lunch with my sister- but as I was early I had a coffee first. I had a macchiato. Perfect. I often complain about the standard of coffees available in the UK - not every coffee bar, cafe and restaurant can get it anywhere near right. So - we ordered lunch. We both fancied the jacket potato with tuna - but it must have been a popular choice that day as there was just one left. So my sister had the potato and I chose the soup of the day. This was also delicious - a home made, very fresh and tasty chicken broth. Perfect.Our healthy eating went out of the window after that though - and we each had a slice of cake. There was a nice selection - and all at reasonable prices.I will definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who wants a good, light lunch at a very good price with fantastic service and great cake and coffee!

Service that I felt was almost forgotten in this fast moving age but thankfully still holding out in this welcome haven. I always make a point to visit for a pot of Earl grey whenever I'm back in town to see my grandchildren and old friends.York, where I moved to, is well known for its tea houses but I can honestly say that this establishment is more than a match for either of them.

I remembered someone telling me about Caffe Venecia a while ago and was looking for somewhere different to take my mum out for a coffee and a chat. I had to google it to find out where it was. It is tucked away in a quiet corner at the top of Huddersfield, I would never have found it! When we got there we were so surprised it was packed out and from conversations we heard with staff a lot of these customers come here often. We found a high table and chairs, not ideal for my mum i thought but she was more than happy. We did just want coffee but succumbed to a toasted current too. My mum had a latte and I had a cappuccino which were brought to our table after not so long. The coffees were I have to say on another level, strong, fresh, very Italian. The toasted current made my taste-buds sing, so fruity and fresh. My cappuccino had dark chocolate grated on the top, a refreshing change from the chocolate shaker we normally get. We got chatting to a waiter,very friendly, who filled us in on how long they had been there, their award winning barista and their plans to open later into the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. Hopefully we will be able to pay a visit after a late night shop nearer the festive time of year. I call in here most mornings on my way to work to pick up 3 or 4 coffees for myself sand some lucky colleagues! Service is prompt, polite and always with a smile and friendly chat. Highly recommended.

Sometimes a glass (or 2) of wine is needed after work - Cafe Venecia provides this, together with a lovely atmosphere and, if you need something to nibble whilst drinking your wine just ask and the marvelous staff will whip up a lovely plate of nibbles at a reasonable price. I am sure you will agree, a lovely way to end the working day. We enjoyed it & will be back.

What a lovely surprise walking into this cafe. A little bit of Venice in Huddersfield .Superb Tapas followed by delicious cake and a very good selection.The range of teas are amazing! A drink that's not only difficult to get right but also very easy to get wrong given the narrow margins for error. Typical of an addict I can't start my day without one and have rarely been disappointed.

Working abroad in Europe, I know a good coffee when I taste it and this café ranks the top in my opinion. I come for the coffee and I stay for the atmosphere!You wont find a better flat white anywhere in town!

Generally a costa addict but happened on this place because I don't really know the area. This is a small coffee shop with so many options to choose from. Modern but in a good way. ( I'm not the best at descriptive writing)Staff were top notch and actually seemed they like working there.

More or less get my coffee here every day - so much so I don't have to place my order.The loveliest staff I've ever encountered in the business and just as important - the coffee is to die for. Also great food and cake/desserts - what more can you ask for?

I work in central Huddersfield and when I manage to actually get a break or lunchtime I always head here. I feel welcomed as soon as I enter. I am still working through the great range of teas, which are served with a bit of a surprise! It's all about timing. There is a suberb choice of cakes for my sweet tooth but also tasty savoury choices too. Most importantly not only is the owner a great host but his staff are friendly efficient and delivery that old fashioned quality of service wit a smile. Excellent!

Always i found my self coming back to this coffee shop grat atmosphere, lovely stuff, free Wifi and most important thier amizing AMERICANO COFFEE. if you are in town you have visit it.

Always call in and have a coffee whenever I'm in Huddersfield.The staff are friendly and polite. And are very good at their jobs.Cannot fault the cleanliness never seen a dirty cup left on a table and people are always wiping tables down. Toilets always spotless.Have tried other coffee shops but this is by far the best.They actually know about the drinks and can explain the differences between each one. Would advise anyone to go and give it a try .... you will taste the difference.

We frequent Vanecia quite a lot. Our daughters have dance class nearby and we always call in for coffee and breakfast. The staff are welcoming and friendly and make you feel at home. There's a great selection of food and drink with prompt service. Vanecia also has a drinks licence and we popped in for Father's Day to enjoy a glass of Prosecco and some Italian beers with lunch. Tony, the owner, let us sample the various beers on offer and talked us through each one. All in all I can't fault the place & we go back time and again. It's always popular & a buzzing place, yet not noisey or loud if you were wanting a place to read your paper with a quiet coffee. Highly recommended

Besides the best coffee in town I have tasted, I am super impressed with the made to order fresh food. Often other coffee houses have limited pre-packed paninis and sandwiches whereas at caffe venecia I get to chose exactly what I want in way of fillings. A great atmosphere to read or work on my laptop in between meetings enjoying my favourite flat white :)

This place had a nice, individual style which makes a change from the standard main chain coffee shops which feel like faceless business centres to me sometimes. I felt I could have actually been in Italy or mainland European whilst inside here. I ordered a sandwich and coffee which were both to a very high standard: tasty and very good quality. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for me, something I don't always get in other places. One interesting thing I noticed was that a large cross section of people from business people to international students were using this cafe whilst I was there, they obviously feel at home here which is a great indicator of authenticity in my eyes. I'll will return to try something else from your vast and interesting menu very soon :D

Best Cafe in Huddersfield. The coffee is as good as any I have anywhere in the world. The staff are friendly, cheerful and efficient. I visit this place every time I go into Huddersfield and rarely go anywhere else unless I want a full meal.

First visit to cafe, ordered my drink and food and asked where I was going to sit. As the cafe was half empty I chose one of the two empty sofa seating areas. Just after I'd sat down, a waiter came up to me and said that I couldn't sit there as I was on my own and a larger group may need it - even though the was another empty sofa area and larger tables empty. He pointed to two smaller tables and said I could sit there!! I was not very happy!! My food was very nice but spoilt by the fact that as someone on their own I could not use the sofa!!! I won't be coming back which is a shame because it seemed very nice, spoilt by a poor customer service decision
