Caffe Nero in Northumberland

The staff made our little pug Bella very welcome. It's great that Caffe Nero allows dogs. After watching rare seabirds and seals on the river Tweed we were able to escape the rain, enjoy yummy coffee, lunch and cake, and relax with Bella. Many thanks - we'll back. Five woofs from Bella! 😁 🐾🐾

Pleasant, friendly staff, dog friendly, and a great selection of quality coffee. Also an excellent choice of both savoury and sweet snacks. Plenty of room, and pleasant, inobtrusive background music, either light classical or cool jazz. There's even a free library. One of our favourite watering holes in bonny Berwick. Highly recommended.

After a days walking along the cliffs & other footpaths in the Berwick area we visited Cafe Nero for a coffee. We were welcomed by the staff, ordered our coffees & took our seats. The coffee was very good, the cafe was clean & the staff very friendly.

We visited here twice for breakfast with my son, who eats vegan food. The porridge with honey along with their vegan croissant. My husband and I had lovely lattes. Sunday morning was very very busy as their was just one female barista on duty and she was very efficient and friendly and focussed on each customer in time. She didn't once become stressed by the queue. We returned the following Friday for the same - this time their were two baristas on duty. The facilities were clean and the seating areas were comfortable with some sofas/chairs available.

Have visited this branch several times during our stay here. Coffee has been weak to say the least. More disturbing though has been the attitude of the manager, quite controlling: watched her warn a lone customer about not taking a window seat if the branch became busy as they have to allocate seats (is this in print anywhere in the shop? Are we persecuting singletons?). Not his problem surely. He left shortly after. A disappointing experience and not up to the usual standard expected of a Caffe Nero.

Second time I’ve been here within a week . Last time I’ll go. The staff are abrupt and rude. Hygiene = Nil ! Putting cups away with fingers inside them with false nails on and then grabbing a teaspoon by the stirring end after scratching her head! No Thanks. One member of staff maybe supervisor very scary! Way to assertive. Not much clue on some of the coffees either which given it’s a coffee shop is a bit weird.

When I have been at cafe Nero Berwick only ever seems to be a tall boy working he seems tired. When I was in just before new year I witnessed the so called store manager talking down to the boy who always works, it was very unprofessional made me feel uncomfortable to be around this. In my personal opinion the store manager should be present more in store and I will not be returning until there is better management there.

My choice for coffee. I enjoy cortado but find it difficult to find. Cafe Nero make a very good cortado and my husband enjoys their latte. Had toasted sandwiches which were good.

Enjoyed a coffee and cake here with my daughter. Coffee was spot on and the staff were really friendly and polite.

We were pleased with our visit. We normally try to use local private coffee shops but this was handy . Friendly chatty staff and cake and coffee fine. Decent loos with a ramp for wheelchair use.

Came in here after being refused entrance to the local independent "Cafe Crema" down the road. Where the independent disappointed this branch of Caffe Nero comfortably exceeded all of our expectations!

Yo uso este lugar regularmente como sirve buena fiood de calidad y bebidas y está espléndidamente situado justo en el centro de la ciudad.

I use this cafe a lot as it is convenient and like the strong coffee they serve. In the past I have contacted them to compliment them on their staff as the have been so good at what they do and had always made me feel welcome. Also to suggest that they improve the toilets which looked tatty and in need of a coat of paint.

Not a lot to say about this establishment other than we were shocked by the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff on shift when we visited. The coffee was as expected but watching the staff chat amongst themselves and in particular spend time talking socially across the counter to a seated (male) customer whilst ignoring the long queue waiting for service (OK they got their drinks but some eye contact and possibly conversation for them would have been usual - certainly in other coffee chains). Could do very much better.

Sí, la comida y los pasteles son un poco caros como son más café cadenas- pero panini y pasteles son siempre bien hecho (a diferencia de algunos establecimientos locales) y el personal es siempre amable. Es una cómoda ubicación (aunque no estoy seguro sobre las nuevas sillas !) y siempre un buen café.

Coffee delicious, & friendly, helpful staff, but nothing suitable for vegans on the eats menu (except a v expensive, tiny choc bar or coffee beans) & you get charged an extra 30p on every coffee for having soya instead of slaughter milk. It's listed in with the 'extras' too, like cream or syrups, despite the fact that you don't get 'extra'! Mis-selling? A huge chain like this should easily be able to afford the cost of soya without charging customers extra & penalising them for either being lactose intolerant, allergic to dairy, trying to eat/drink more healthily, or having ethics! The independents can do it, time Caffe Nero got on board. Have filled in their feedback forms on this matter endless times, & still no response. Staff in the cafe just say, 'sorry, we don't know why, but we're told to charge it.' Unsatisfactory. Will go elsewhere whenever possible until Caffe Nero sort this out.

If you're going to take someone for a pot of tea in Berwick-Upon-Tweed then I'd take them here.

Unas vacaciones muy de agradecer el aguacero torrencial. Este es un típico café Nero, ya sabíamos lo que se nos ofrecía. El servicio fue amable y rápido. La cafetería estaba muy lleno, pero las mesas fueron liquidados rápidamente y allí Wasa buen ambiente.normalmente tenemos la zanahoria y pasas pastel que es bonito pero probamos la tarta de limón para cambiar y lo disfruté mucho.

es un muy buen Neros. El personal es genial y es siempre un placer entrar para una taza de té. Las familias son bienvenidos - incluyendo los padres con carritos. Es bueno si tienes que hacer un poco de trabajo también. El wifi es de fácil acceso y es confiable.

Café Nero are always a safe bet for having first rate drink and snack in clean, pleasant surroundings and this one was no exception.

En vacaciones en Berwick-upon-Tweed en un frío otoñal domingo mañana soleada. Optamos por Caffe Nero y nos alegramos. Realmente un gran servicio cordial del chico que sirve. sabroso panini, pasteles y cafés. Sé que es una cadena hotelera, pero buenos personal realmente hacen la diferencia y también me gusta mucho el café de Nerón. (no tienen Caffe Nero donde vivimos, así que es un verdadero lujo!!)

Todo es quién está trabajando pero normalmente el personal es bueno y saben lo que están haciendo, además está educado y servicial. El lugar normalmente está lleno y a veces puede ser demasiado ruidoso con niños y el escándalo de las máquinas de café, pero si quieres un poco de agitación y están en el centro de la ciudad, este es el lugar que buscas.
