Caffe Nero in Malvern Hills

Made to feel very unwelcome And felt uncomfortable. Did not finish my drink. Won't be using this place again in future. Do not recommend

Visited Caffè Nero @ Malvern Retail Park yesterday. Service was friendly, coffee was good & my dog Mabel was spoiled rotten!

Vegan choices always out of stock these days. This never used to be the case. I'm going elsewhere for lunch now. Pity because I like the vegan panini and croissant which are always sold out or not in stock. This has been the case for months now.

Our first time for using Caffe Nero in Great Malvern. As usual, great Coffee and Cortado. Special mention to one of the Baristas - she 'welcomed' us into the Cafe, smiled and was very helpful - a 'credit,' as we hardly ever get that sort of welcome at most other places.

They claim to be "best espresso this side of Milan" they are not even best espresso this side of Australia !! I In fact they are on this claim just abject liars. Serving a small espresso coffee in a large cup makes the drink go cold even before one could get back to a table. They table itself could have done with a proper clean as well. This place is awful I will never go again !! If trainers and managers of café Nero want to see how good coffee is made go to Buongiorno Café in Evesham, they know just how it should be done !!

My mum & I had lunch at Cafe Nero Malvern Retail Park today. The service and quality of the coffee and food was good as expected, however, the environment was far from comfortable due to the ridiculous level of air conditioning, it was like sitting in a fridge! I mentioned this to a member of staff who told me that it needed to be at that level because it was so hot behind the counter for the staff. I pointed out that surely the people that matter are the customers, he didn’t disagree, but explained that he was unable to do anything about it. It isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned the situation to the staff there. It was actually much warmer outside today, it was 17 degrees outside! What on Earth are the management thinking?? I won’t go again unless the situation is addressed.

Freshly made, good tasting coffee. Friendly, cheerful staff who were constantly clearing the tables. Comfortable seating with some interesting pictures on the walls. Can certainly recommend dropping in for, at least, a drink if not more. An added bonus is that it's dog friendly.

I’m unsure of the woman’s name but there is a middle aged woman with short grey hair who is an absolute disgrace to this place. On both occasions I have visited Malvern she has ruined it both times. Not filling up the drinks to the full amount, like the extra milk would of came out of her wages and when she misheard my order and I asked for it to be rectified, she was rude and tried to make me feel like I had made the mistake? Like, I don’t know what i’m going on to order. Negative energy all round and when I visit Malvern again and fancy a coffee, I will look through the window and if i see her behind the counter, hello Costa Coffee.

Not 1 clean table in the whole place . Disgusting, why does o one clear the tables and wipe them. Dirty dirty dirty, not good enough enough for expensive coffee

As a local and frequent Nero customer it is a pleasure to write a few words of compliment. There are other coffee shops in Malvern town, however I like the setting, the friendly service and of course the coffee. Nero's is air conditioned, so a pleasure to escape the current heat wave. We have used cafe Nero for a number of years but on our visit yesterday we sat outside to drink our coffee and it looked like the outside space hadn't been swept for months. There was litter from McDonald's ash trays full of water and butt ends, and we have. had no rain for a while . Overall not a pleasant visit

Went for takeaway coffee with our own cups, our cups are 340ml(small in other coffee shops) and they charged for 2 mediums. By the time I got home the oat latte was deflated to almost half the size and it tasted terrible. Seems they never even check equipment for the coffee to taste bearable. I'd avoid this place and go elsewhere, we've had numerous bad experiences here. Wish I could have taken it back and showed them how small the portion became.

Just visited for coffee place a mess not cleaned and lacks management staff chatting and tables full of clients cups, plates and rubbish this used to be a lovely clean and welcoming place to visit not now sadly

The Vegan Festive Panini at Cafe Nero is a major disappointment. Virtually no filling to speak of. Only in the middle where it is cut in half and even that is little to none. A blatant con. This was not a one off. The three I have had since they replaced the vegan meatball panini earlier this month have all been the same. I shall not be buying another. I'll probably go elsewhere to eat.

This place used to be efficient and offered good service. Sadly, it has gone down since the lovely Italian lady left. The last few times I have been here, you can only get coffee in cardboard containers. You can’t get it served in a proper cup any longer and if you have food it is served in a paper bag. They no longer offer a plate. This is very poor when all of the local coffee houses serve in a cup and plates are given always if you are eating/drinking in. They blame a shortage of staff. Presumably this is why, tables are not cleared and disinfected very often. Masks are hardly ever worn by staff or customers. There are plenty of places in Great Malvern that give a much better service. I won’t be coming here again.

Baristas shouting down the queue asking what you want, then get the order wrong ( this happened 3 out of 4 visits). Can't understand why they ask people what they want when still serving a customer??. Cleaner was wiping table's with a j cloth, same one for every table, no anti bac or cleaning solution. No good if you want a quiet coffee, staff very loud..

Called in with a group of friends on Saturday 11/08/18, the service is excellent & a good selection of snacks & drinks. Spacious inside with plenty of table & chairs. Excellent value looking at the menu choice.

Very friendly, efficient and stress free service from the off. Sarah extremely happy and positive which encourages customers to stay. Also cleaning and tidying kept well up to scratch.

The place was clean tidy and inviting. The staff where friendly and helpful. However then we overheard them saying to customers the display fridge wasn’t working properly however they still had food and drinks displayed in it. That shouldn’t happen in a food and drink business

Being a tired customer with a non sleeping child. I order a large coffee, given a small, asked for a large again, got snapped at, forgot part the order so I told her to forget the missed part only for her to shout across the store at me - (It wasn’t part of the order being missed, more the being snapped at for asking for the correct size of coffee)

Park right outside and no need for coats it gets very warm.Bit sparten but odd seats are very comfortable.Its a high ceiling barn of a place so no real atmosphere but i was here for a coffee and lemon muffin and both hit the spot for me.nice staff who keep the tables cleared so i for one will be returning.

As with all cafe nero's this one is dog friendly, so they get the business..... Nice comfy seating and friendly staff.

The coffe is always good at Cafe Nero, howeverm the muffin i bought was a bit stale. The toilets were in a very poor state,and not for the first time. It's very off putting and perhaps due to only two staff on duty, but all of the surroundings are starting to look as if they need a good touch up and thorough clean.

Our legs were worn out after walking the Malvern Hills, a nice place to relax and have a great cup of coffee in a nice restaurant with friendly efficient staff. We sat there checking all the lovely pictures of the Malvern Hills we had taken from the summit on a cold and blue sky frosty day.

Get rid of the 2 girls serving... one was slurping coffee in between serving, whilst calling customers, Honey or babe, far too familiar with customers, the other was just ridiculous, trying to be witty and funny and failing. Just be polite and serve.

Llamamos aquí para una escapada de compras, el servicio muy lento, cuando finalmente llegaron nuestras bebidas, eran terribles, el café era muy amarga, y poco apetecibles. El batido de chocolate era incluso peor, sabía a chocolate muy poco, y a la izquierda un gusto.

Hola. Este es un fácil y cómodo lugar para comer y tomar un café, pero esta vez los asientos estaban pegajosas con mermelada y arruinó mi ropa. Tuve yo limpiar personalmente. Sólo había una persona en la primera y tan lento. Tienen que servir café saludable más orgánica y opciones no químicas, etc. llenos con sabores. Esta vez las mesas estaban sucias y necesitan más personal para mantener el lugar buscando y funcionando correctamente y bien.

Aunque este lugar fue ocupado el personal donde tomar un largo tiempo para conseguir los pedidos hechos por la cola de clientes. No había una urgencia sólo lento. Cuando nos sentamos con lo que habíamos pedido a otro miembro del personal apareció de la nada. Los tres de ellos podrían haber hecho el servicio del contador de alta velocidad. La comida era buena, pero la misma que cabría esperar de esta cadena. No hay opciones saludables

Un lugar de reunión para amigos o individuos donde hay una amplia variedad de pasteles y bebidas en un ambiente agradable. El personal es acogedor y servicial.

El personal intenta ser rápido al servir y normalmente logró qeues largo. Típico de cadena y realmente no hubo quejas cuando nos han visitado, aunque una gran cantidad de personal se han mudado.

Aparecimos en una copa la tarde y encontramos el lugar limpio y ordenado. El personal era todavía alegre y entusiasta para dar un buen servicio.

We stopped for enjoyable coffees and a cake to share on a trip to Malvern and enjoyed our visit. The cafe was busy and buzzing with a friendly atmosphere and warm and welcoming on a rainy, windy February morning.

Hot chocolate and cookies with friends. Pleasant atmosphere and good location. We parked for free in a side street near Iceland. 2 adults, 3 kids and all happy apart from one drink a bit too sweet. They accommodated my request to make my son's hot chocolate colder than the others and to have some drink in takeaway cups.

I would just like to say this is a review of the Caffè Nero on the Malvern Shopping Park near M&S.Popped in for a quick drink at a really busy time so I can forgive them for tables not being cleared but....The floor was filthy, the fabric chairs were stained with greasy arms and the toilet well....If you like to be hit with the smell of urine the moment you open the door then this is the place!The whole establishment needs a deep clean and a management team to keep on top of it!Next time I'll go thirsty and wait until I get home.

The service is always very friendly here and we love the hot chocolate. The cakes are nice - but a bit samey. They are not as good as home made.

Love Neros at Malvern Link visit here two or three times a week.Staff lovely always helpful. Also go out of their way to help.The only problem is I don't think it's big enough nearly always have to stand and wait in a queue. I think it's not because the staff are slow it's the different coffees that take the time. Also I find it overpoweringly hot. If there's air conditioning they really need to use it.Love it anyway.

Moved to Malvern few months ago & love this friendly relaxed coffee shop. Excellent service from fun & welcoming staff. Everyone welcome - singles, couples, groups, young families, buggies & dogs ! Great atmosphere. And wonderful coffee !

I don't visit my home town often but I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of Cafe Nero! The place was littered with dirty cups. The chair in the window is disgusting! I love Cafe Nero but this place lets the brand down badly!

I visited this afternoon and found a seat easily even though is was very busy. I had a regular Orange Spiced Latte which was very nice but expensive at £3.00. Service was slow at the counter, and might have been sped up if the staff weren't so busy laughing and joking with each other. The girl who served me was a trainee and was quick, helpful and polite. The other 2 staff members didn't really engage with the customers, unless you were a regular!!I would probably not visit this branch again.

Had a nice coffee and cake here whilst visiting for the weekend. Clean Cafe and efficient staff. Free Wi-fi. We were not rushed and spent quite a while here chatting.

This Cafe Nero is well located opposite Malvern Priory. Usual comfortable seating with a good selection of drinks and snacks available. Staff very pleasant and jelpful

We were served by a very nice blond-haired boy who smiled all the time, kindly asked where we were from and showed great patience with our probably poor pronunciation of what we ordered.I think venue manager sort of told him off in front of us customers for not serving us the 'best-looking' one of the three available pieces of cake we ordered from, but guy kept face and acted as if nothing had happened.He was our first sample of the great kindness of Great Malvern's people.

Great place to stop and top up your caffeine needs. There are other coffee shops in Malvern but this serves good clean coffee with smiley staff.

Today I had bad service in Nero in Malvern near Morrison. There worked 3 persons of staff.One lady makes coffee for clients ahead me,two other just didn't do nothing. I waited about 10min but nobody wasn't instrested that I want to make order.They all was slowly .I hadn't enough time so I just walk away.I know the service in Nero in Worcester (near HSBC bank),they working wonderful:all the time friendly and quick. So I see big difference between two Coffee shops.

I could have been in any town, in any of the chain coffee shops. Coffee was fine, the snacks on offer standard and rather overpriced but if it had been my choice of venue I would rather have gone to an independently run establishment, of which there are several in Malvern.

I'm reasonably regular in this Nero due to it's location when I want a quick coffee, usually with my toddler at the moment. I'm familiar with the Caffe Nero brand and this one is a nice one - not too chaotic.What I don't like is that I've been in the queue with my pushchair and had no offer of help with the tray from staff. How hard would that be?As for the chain as a whole - why do they charge more to drink in when others don't? And it's 20p more for a large tea - that's just more water!!! Also, Nero is the only chain coffee shop as far as I know that still has the cheek to charge extra for soya milk.I like this Nero because it's a handy location, but I do prefer the Costa down the road as no charge for soya and they help you to your table with the tray!

Quite comfortable with a good range of coffees and adequate snacks. I would not choose to take morning coffee anywhere else in Malvern.

The staff were helpful and very friendly, sadly the tables were dirty.Although the view from the window over The Priory certainly made up for this.

Always had coffee when visiting this coffee shop but fancied tea last time. BIG MISTAKE ! In my opinion Caffè Nero always serves the best coffee out of all the big chains although sometimes feel a bit old as it is usually full of student types. Tried tea this time but it was awful, lacked flavour and tasted like really cheap tea. I will still visit this coffee shop but will stick to what they do best.

Yet another Nero's that is just spot on. The staff are helpful and the cafe has a great atmosphere. Coffee is perfect and you have to try the almond croissant they are yummy. I always like to meet with my friend here but because we enjoy the coffee so much we end up there from 10am to lunch. No bad thing as we can enjoy the coffee all the more.

This is a great place. The staff are always friendly, fast and fun! The atmosphere is cosy and the food and drinks are tasty. The staff go the extra mile, dressing up for Halloween and Christmas-great fun!

Very small area , it was hard to find somewhere to sit people using chairs to put their shopping on. Slow to clear tables , however drinks of a standard you would expect.
