Caffe Nero in Conwy

Came here today Iced Cherry latte was spot on and great. But I think their needs to be a few things that need to rectified 1 . the place needs increased hygiene cleaning for example the toilets they were absolutely horrendous today with someone’s skid marks on them appalling!! 2. The staff members need to stop nagging people to come out of the toilets and not speak to them in a rude manner. If this continues to happen then things are going to kick off and escalate. A change is urgently needed!!! Caffè Nero investigate this and get these problems resolved.

Do not go here the place is dirty and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Dust everywhere, windows dirty, floor needs a thorough mop, seats sticky with jam on one of them. Disgusting.

Visit this café a lot and I must say that recently it's looking very tired and in need of some attention..also noted that it's looking dirty, the doormat is full of fluff and hair and behind the display cabinet there was old food (we could see this as we were sitting outside). Coffee still good though

Clean you windows properly - the glass is a disgrace make the place look awful from inside and out. And do not use tape to put paper messages on the window.

I would like to express my disappointment at not being included in the "Group of Perverts" in the aforementioned post! As a female I find this quite sexist, as I now regularly sit with these guys in the morning, after getting to know them, as a regular myself. Therefore, I should also be included in the group! In reality they are just a bunch of friendly blokes, who enjoy a bit of HARMLESS banter between themselves. They are not rude or letchy, so please do not let this put you off visiting Cafe Nero at all!

Group of perverts made us feel very uncomfortable on a few occasions as we sat and tried to enjoy our coffee . (Group of 4 or 5 men who seem to sit on the couch most mornings early doors ) will not be returning .

This is not a negative about Nero's itself but a concern I feel needs more monitoring. There is a sign that well behaved dogs are welcome But please don't have them On your lap or feed at the table. Today this couple came in with their dog in a dog pram, immediately blocking a way past, they then proceeded with their drinks while taking biscuits/snacks from their backpacks (not fair on other customers) the female kept giving the dog pieces of what they were eating ( the dog was not level with table but high enough) and then dipped her finger in the cream of her partner's drink before letting the dog lick it and her hand, this happened a few times. She did not clean her hands at any time and in this day and age of covid and viruses was incredibly unhygenic, leaving her bacteria on the table, chair, mug and anything else she touched.. Not what you want to encounter while having a coffee. I find this totally unacceptable so please Nero's let's get this sorted.

Afternoon visit for coffee and cake. As we queued at the counter there were only 3 empty tables, all of which had dirty dishes on them. We asked if someone could clear the tables and were asked”which one do you want to sit at”. The young lady in the till asked a member of staff who was in the kitchen to clear the table which she did reluctantly, snatching the dirty dishes from the table and taking them back to the kitchen leaving spilt coffee, spilt milk and crumbs behind on the table. We waited for her to come back to wipe the table but no, we had to go and ask for her to do it. She clearly objected to having to do what she gets paid for, spraying the table and wiping the mess onto the floor with a very bad attitude and no apology. Perhaps a health and hygiene refresh, along with some customer service training is called for

You might notice that none of the reviews you are writing merit a response from this Europe wide chain. No one is bothered. It’s not acceptable that the standard of hygiene has not improved in the past SIX years, and the broken toilet seat in the Ladies Upstairs is a Local legend …it would take me (a pensioner/housewife) about 20 minutes to thoroughly clean the Bog, and replace the damned broken seat… Nero! We visit this branch a lot when we are take day trips to Llandudno (weekly at the moment) and daily when we stay in holiday cottage. My husband and I love it here with our 3 small dogs. It is a dog owner's paradise, with ample seating outside with a wonderful view (you can also sit inside with your dog). The staff are mostly super friendly and always have a chat with customers they remember. If you have a food allergy keep your eyes peeled on the milk being used. A trainee barrista put the wrong milk in my coffee TWICE in a day (Isaw him doing it and he changed it both times).

It is a great place to drink a warm coffee and relax while visiting Llandudno as a tourist. The staff was very lovely. Barista, Hakan, was very kind and helpful. All the coffees he prepared were delicious. I would love to this Nero again in the future.

Disappointed from start to finish when I visited. Service was slow with staff that didn't look like they wanted to be there, even ordering a drink seemed like too much trouble. Drinks were fine, I like them hot and the hot chocolate definitely wasn't. The tables weren't cleared and when we finally sat down they were so sticky - the place needs a good clean.

Service was terrible, the man who works there in a trainee barista t shirt was so rude, barged me out of the way whilst I was trying to simple get to the stairs, stomping around he came across very stroppy, childish behaviour from an adult. Other staff were friendly, Coffee was okay but wouldn’t go again.

Popped in for a coffe & light snack lunch time. A rain showet caught us, no idea wher to go, saw the Nero sign, headed there! Its the same working formula for every place, so the only thing that will stand out is service. It wasnt too busy, just right. Had coffee, tea & toasties. Like every other Nero we have been in, it the same service. Nothing spectaular, just does whst is says on the tin. So many coffee shops now, i think smaller independant ones offer more and better value.

My time in the queue while the many staff had a chat aged me. Place was grubby and untidy, and I take some ignoring but this staff managed it

It's clear the staff are not paid enough and overworked because they always seem to not have enough people on working. The food is overpriced but I loved the coffee and view.

Caffe Nero is by far my favourite place to go for for good coffee and tasty food. When my wife and I walked into this one we both noticed how grubby the place looked. Nevertheless we were hungry so we stayed. I picked up a panini and because the label was discoloured I turned it over. It was out of date. I selected another and gave it to the rather scruffy young man behind the counter and ordered coffee. We had plenty of time to observe what was happening. The young who was behind the counter and who we think was in charge seemed more interested in chatting with people he knew rather than working. When he stepped away from the counter my wife noticed that his clothes were dirty. Before we left I went to the gents and noticed that the hygiene checks had not been carried out for several hours. This did not surprise me. I firmly believe that a place like this reflects the person in charge and it did; grubby and unhygienic.

We al ways have a Coffee on our holidays at Nero's. Not much to say really, coffee was greaf as always but service was very slow and the shop wasn't overly busy either.

Very shabby building, some of the seating was very worn and damaged. Coffee was ok but the server stuck his dirty fingers in the clean cup prior to making 2 coffees. Refused these had 2 fresh clean cups made.wont return.

Visit this place on a fairly regular basis. Food and coffee is up to the usual standard, but the staff seem very much a gang - quite happy making bitchy comments about their managers in front of, or to, customers. Doesnt make a great impression.

I am a great fan of caffe nero and their offering of scruffy chic. Just what I like. However, in this branch the balance has shifted toward the downright scruffy. Just like coffee in a bus shelter. Upstairs , the surroundimgs were simply scruffy and very cold too. The staff were delightful , by the way. The management ought to reflect that the provision of a couple of old leather chairs and prints on the walls of itailian peasants in happier times will not permanently cut the mustard. Wise up!! Coffee chains have come and gone before. I like caffe nero, and would not not want to see them go, but on this evidence they are losing the plot.

As a local resident, I visit this branch fairly regularly but I’ve never experienced such poor customer service as I did yesterday.

Just spent a few days on holiday in Llandudno and visited this cafe with some trepidation. I visited on two consecutive mornings and found the place to be clean with friendly staff and nice coffee. Wifi worked and pleasant ambience so no complaints from me.

Called in last Saturday early afternoon, for a drinks, my wife ordered hot chocolate I went for latte Otha medium which came in cups overflowing, after mopping up 40% of the contents, on sitting down we both found that our drinks were cold. Place seemed untidy not a very good recommendation, they really good do better.

I could go on about the poor quality and service of this outlet, but most of the Nero’s outlets are about the same. They are such a poor deal that I feel I am wasting my time giving a review, Nero’s really don’t care a toss.

Friendly coffee shop on the main street with some nice sunny outside seating. Serves good coffee and nice Danish pastries. Wi-fi available which even works outside.

Out shopping with daughter today, thought we would pop in for a coffee. Looked inviting so we went in. Served very promptly, I had a regular latte, daughter opted for bottled water. I wish now I had chosen the same. My coffee was truly vile. Bitter and undrinkable. Is this right ?. No amount of sugar would have rescued it. Daughter tried it and she thought it was awful. Left it total waste of money. Avoid.

We love Nero Coffee but up until recently we very rarely went because we didn't realise they were dog friendly, we were super excited when we found out that dog are welcome inside and now our dogs always join us when we visit Nero.

Good central location and you are always sure of quality coffee. Has upstairs for the more able bodied. Downstairs good views of streets

Had coffee here twice in a weeks holiday, the staff were pleasant and the coffee to the good standard you would expect.

Coffee was awful. Staff didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. Dirty and unclean. Cups and trays left everywhere and wasn’t even busy for the staff to be able to come and tidy. Chairs left everywhere with newspapers left on top and looks scruffy as shown in the photo. Outside was messy and unappealing. Would NEVER go back.

If you look at my reviews, I seldom give bad ones and I'm not sure I ever given 1 out of 5! But this place is terrible! This is the second time I've been here and staff have been rude. Once I can forgive and always do, twice is not acceptable. I'm not an offense person and always respectful and except the same back. Considering there are so many lovely coffee shops in Llandudno, I'm surprised this one stays open. Dirty and tired with miserable, unhelpful staff. The coffee isn't anywhere near as good as other Neros, which I would like to point out, I am not reviewing, just the Llandudno shop. Other Neros I've been in have always been great. My advice with this one though, try somewhere else, I will the next time I'm here!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon with my family. The place does need some TLC but serviced our needs. The tea cakes we had were lovely and plentiful. No complaints from us.

Visited for a break during some shopping at the resort. Service was ok but not great. Coffee ok but no care taken in the presentation. Place looked tired and untidy.

Really excellent coffee made by the friendly barista. Place including toilets was very clean. Egg mayonnaise sandwich also very good.

Each time we come to Llandudno we have coffee and cake at Nero's - every day. The cakes are lovely, particularly the salted caramel cheesecake and the chocolate fudge cake.

Always like to have a Nero fix and this one didn’t let us down the barista was very friendly and efficient coffee was great and paid using the new app which was a bonus.

My mum and dad live in Llandudno, Cafe Nero is a great place to have a coffee. The girl at the counter was very chatty and friendly which always helps to make the visit more enjoyable. The athmosphere is lovely. I would definitely recommend

Just been served by the most awful and rude person I think we’ve ever met!!! Appeared to just want to start a fight never met such an aggressive staff member - very bizarre think we’ll go elsewhere from now on :s

Cakes and coffee very good but...….Called in at 4pm. 2 tables & 6 customers present. Not one table was clean, debris on the floor (empty bottles, food... and the chairs look unbelievably tatty. I had looked for a table and mentioned the state of them to the waitress before we sat down - with a huge smile, she informed me they had been very busy & offered to clean one of them. Throughout our visit she & another waitress cleared other tables but...not one table was wiped down. It's not rocket science to take a cleaner and disposable cloth with you and as you clear, you wipe. On leaving, we saw it from Mostyn Street and again, debris on the floor and uncleared tables..If CN cannot keep up with it's customers, might I suggest they hire more staff.

A friendly café, We enjoyed our beverages with the extras e.g. the hot chocolate toppings, Free wifi a bonus, I have marked one down, as downstairs was a bit untidy and needed a clean up, however our visit was towards the end of the day and the staff were busy.

Went for a coffee and drinks with family. Busy, clean and friendly atmosphere. One thing I noticed was the over and above service from a member of staff. She was offering to help an elderly customer at the end of her shift . This is what makes a difference. Didn’t catch her name. Young, hair in a ponytail. Well done for going the extra mile. It really makes a difference.

We appreciated the air conditioning and comfy seats after a long walk. The raspberry and white chocolate frappe was somewhat tasteless and had too much ice. Other drinks were good, as usual.

The staff were very pleasant. There is nice seating available downstairs and upstairs. The wifi was a bit unreliable. The staff were happy to help fix some missed credits on the app due to their system playing up. They have an excellent chocolate cake and do a good cappuccino. Clean toilets were appreciated.

Have been coming here since its launch in the town and always used to enjoy my almost daily visit. However!!! The service over the last month has dropped dramatically, and there is one (female) member of staff who is quite rude. Also there seems to be an increasing number of customers who ask and pay for take-away drinks and then sit in anyway without any sort of challenge from the staff, this issue really needs to be addressed. Jen and George are sorely missed and unfortunately Ev only does shifts at weekends. Sadly it looks like the towns new Starbucks is calling!!!!!!

Very disappointing after a fairly long journey to find that this Caffè aneroid dies not allow dogs. The only other we know which is not dog-friendly is in Ripon, Yorkshire and this is because it us a very small cafe.

I love Cafe Nero usually but was very disappointed at the state of this one. Toilets were in a bad way, no loo seat in the upstairs gents and no soap yet the inspection notice stated it had been inspected that morning.

We visited here a couple of times during our recent trip to lovely Llandudno. We like the coffee and cake, but had to give the tables a good wipe before sitting down. Toilets were pretty dirty also. I do appreciate the staff are rushed off...

As a brand the coffee is one of the best and the Cafe Nero is in a good location in the town. However the state of the toilets on both visits was quite frankly disgusting. As further proof Day 2 of the week the previous day the men's toilet inspection log sheet had not been filled in for the entire previous day or to date for the morning of day 2 in week of Aug 21st. Later in the week on a 2nd visit to Neros the inspection log sheet had been ripped off altogether. So whether or when the toilets are cleaned is unknown, but not very often by the looks of it. The cafe seating area is a little better but not sure how often the sofas are wiped down. The water jugs also looked dirty. Staff need some training.

The staff are always pleasant and helpful and the place is always clean and tidy and they do great coffee Well done

Was with coffee addict who couldn't wait for hotel breakfast at 8am so went in search of espresso - found it here at 7am - happy bunny! (Also confessed to almond croissant at cafe before returning for a full English (Welsh) breakfast at hotel!)

Llandudno caffe nero is the best coffee shop in town.Friendly staff and great coffee.Its good to sit and people watch.

Called in for a coffee and toastie with the family. Friendly service and good quality food and a nice coffee. Lovely to sit outside in the sun but (as always) spoilt by the one or two smokers who have no regard for children in the vicinity - hey ho !!

I go to Nero for a coffee quite a few times a year in various locations. This one in Llandudno is fairly typical, maybe a little scruffy, it needs new leather armchairs, The coffee is consistent but an old favourite of mine has changed. This is the Sicilian Lemon cheesecake that I have been enjoying for years at Nero. Yesterday when I ordered it it looked different. It looked a bit smaller than usual and it looked either old or synthetic. When I tasted it it tasted synthetic and cheap so my SL Cheesecake days in Nero have come to an end unless I ever see the original one there. It looks and tastes like one of those cheap ones from a supermarket. What a shame however my waistline will be kept slimmer. Come on Nero, If you are going to keep charging those very high prices at least keep the quality high too.

Lovely coffee, sandwiches and cakes, always visit when in Llandudno. Sit outside with the dog watching the world go by, on a sunny day the seating area is a really nice place to sit.

Being a local i come here quite often and never had a bad coffee. You can't gauge when you're going to hit it at a quiet time due it being a popular coastal visiting town so there's always a turnover of locals and visitors coming and going so its usually packed, but upstairs is USUALLY quieter (But not ideal if you have a buggy and kids) But then again i have been in there some days and i was the only person in there!Even though theyre busy the staff always try to be friendly and serve you quick. The interior furniture could do with an update, getting a bit thread bare now, but again i come for the coffee, but its a small point, also the chap who comes around clearing tables sounds like he's throwing them across the room, he's so noisy, and if you're after a quiet coffee, and just got a small child to sleep, i would lose it if he woke them up, so please Cafe Nero take note, you don't have to sound like you're launching the crockery across the room

It was Easter weekend and was busy but we got a table. No issues at all, staff were great... coofee and sandwich perfectly adequate. Recommended.

went here while on holiday in Llandudno and as usual for this chain of coffee shops the standard of coffee was very good and served by very friendly staff. Tables cleared and cleaned as people left. Could do with more tables downstairs, especially for people with difficulties in going to an upper level

Courtesy of my bank, along with an iced lemonade, flat white and a tea....Whilst we enjoyed our drinks and brownie, noticed the floor was quite messy more than just a tables worthy of crumbs etc....The rating of 4 would maybe be a 5 if kept tidier!

At last staff at a coffee house who know how to make a really short, strong, rich ristretto coffee that really hits the spot-well done.Good central location in town with ample seating on two floors and outdoor.Well worth a visit

Wherever we go we always try to find a Caffe Nero as we love the taste of their coffee. Not disappointed. The small café was extremely busy. It seems, as with a lot of good cafe's, customers like to stay a while.

Visited cafe Nero today for a quiet half hour in a busy day - a male member of staff was clearing tables and he was literally throwing the dirty pots into a washing up bowl and going into back and it sounded like he was throwing them around the kitchen - the noise was completely avoidable and everyone in cafe as commenting on it. It seemed like he was very unhappy about something and behaved like a petulant child. This behaviour made our visit (and judging by others' comments as well) stressful and awkward. I have experienced similar from this particular member of staff of staff before - he is not pleasant and seems to give the impression that he would rather be elsewhere. He has a poor attitude. Well it would seem that on this occasion his customers wished that too. Shame because the other staff members are lovely and they seemed to look comfortable with this behaviour too. One man actually popped his head around the kitchen to see what was going on. Not the relaxing coffee we had intended and enough to put us off re-visiting.

Popped in for afternoon coffee. Children had hot chocolate which was rich in flavour. The cream on top was an added benefit! The staff were good and the service was efficient and friendly. The seating upstairs was clean and tidy. A nice place to pause in a busy day.

The coffee is perfect, the staff are really friendly and it's so comfy, good variety of reading matter, never rushed so chilled, utter perfection

This small coffee shop near the promenade is a good place to stop by if you're a tourist visiting Llandudno. It has a lovely atmosphere and the view from the windows overlooking the streets and bright buildings of the town is quite beautiful. The service is good as well but they could keep the toilets a bit cleaner, I felt disgusted by the stench.

The place for hot drinks in the town but you will be paying the price here and also good for pastries.
