They take too long, it is not a good option if your flight is close

Understaffed. The queue is about 15 minutes, not great for an airport.

Don’t believe the t-shirts they are wearing. This possibly the worst coffee in Scotland. Not even bad, bad is drinkable. This is liquid ashtray extract. Update: returned the ashtray extract and got a drinkable cup. So upping to 2 stars from 1

Recently came at this caffe Nero for a Pain au Chocolat and coffee. Service was slow, bad, screwed up our order twice and forgot to do one of our coffee. Location however is right in the terminal. Was perfect while waiting for our flight.

Definitely the best airport food I've ever had. Would surely recommend if you're ever here at the airport!

A very popular coffee shop with always a long queue Personally ordered 𣲙American style and tried 2 snacks, the quality is good However, due to too many customers, the staff often failed to clean up the garbage and countertops in the store in time, but the staff were still diligent and courteous. I hope the store can add more manpower to help the store staff Price for drinks and food is around £10 per person It’s a good choice to take a rest while waiting for your flight. The actual experience is 3.5 points, which is deducted for hygiene and convenience because the store clerk is too busy.

Bought coffee and food at counter Sat down and 10 minutes later a member of staff comes along and says "this area is closing" asked can we sit the other side "NO" this is not what you expect from Cafe Nero.and why were we not told while making our purchases. very bad form and extreme rude staff.

Super high prices, bad coffee (latte, strange taste, could barely guess it is coffee), fruits: apple tasted as if turning bad, pinapple quite juicy (so good), melon tasteless, mango super hard, only one piece of kiwi. So I went give the fruits back At least the staff is really nice and helpful. They reimbursed the fruits.

Caramel latte was not good; very bland. Not taste whatsoever. Cinnamon swirl freshly baked. Delicious! Dining area was dirty with left over cups and other items not thrown properly to the bin. Staff should check the dining area every now and then to make sure that new customers can sit comfortably. Friendly staff.

Brenden gave exceptional customer service, was friendly and accommodating.

The woman that was working around 12:00 today, was really rude. Also, the coffee is one of the worst I have ever had.

Seven staff, five that should have stayed at home. Getting people’s orders wrong, orders going missing and general apathy. Avoid, many other options available

*Im talking specifically about the Nero location next to gate 12* Whenever I’m flying from EDI I see this place very busy (if not packed) yet the staff maintains such a high level of customer service not letting the stress of the peak hours get to them. Considering them being kind of understaffed I think they deserve a high praise for how well they are doing. Always making sure the cafe is clean and the pastry display always stocked, your effort does not go unnoticed, keep up the good work! 100% recommend

Boiling, burned coffee and room temperature water. At least they didn't spit on my face.

Barista in training on the 21st August was lovely and very efficient, as were the other staff. Felt looked after and drinks were lovely.

Came in today ( 21/08/2023 - 15:13pm) to have a coffee before we headed off on holiday. The man serving us could not have been any more rude, he took no interest in what we were saying, we ordered two luxury hot chocolates, upon tasting it I noticed the milk to be rather off and not the same in the slightest to the luxury hot chocolates I have elsewhere. I went up to the register to let him know, however he was too busy talking about something a boss/ coworker had said in the group chat to his colleague. Once his colleague told him that I was stood there. He was absolutely standoffish about the hot chocolate and asked me multiple times what my issue was, I work in customer service myself and the way he portrayed himself, his facial expressions and his attitude was just not on. He walked over and slammed my latte down on the table and basically ran away before shouting “your welcome” as he hadn’t given me the chance to say thanks. Will not be back, at least Pret staff have basic education and hold the business to the highest standard.

Two caramel lattes, two babiccinos, and 4 hot ham and cheese croissants. Yummy! A nice way to start a holiday!

Trash all over the place. You should consider having a queue for a short period of time to have time to clean up the tables, empty the trashes etc. We were sitting next to a pile of garbage bags. Not so cafe friendly. 😕 Would otherwise probably be a better review.

Over 15 minute wait for coffee in the morning, fine if you have a long delay, terrible if you need to get somewhere.

Many of the seat covers are ripped and dirty. Good service and food doesn't counter sitting in filth.

Rude women that handed me my drink

Coffee is ok but the scones are NOT at all good. I think they were on the shelf for more than they should be!

What a lovely barista - (asked and his name is Levent ) working there this morning (5/11/22 at 6.40 am). Friendly, welcoming and efficient- wonderful service. Ridiculous wait simply to grab a coffee. Even more unacceptable since you are at an airport and you need to catch your flight. Expensive too.

Very poor service as it was 19:45 and the shop already closed with very rude staff saying they are understaff and it's only 2 of them there. Shouldn't be advertised open till 8pm if they can't keep shop open.

One member staff was rude to the old man in front of me, and then another staff member (she appeared to be the manager) yelled at the customers and then to her colleague about how bad the young lad on the till was. Her language was foul. I left in disgust. The burrito place opposite was excellent!

Yes, the shortbread and coffee was good. But. The tables were dirty, the three people on scene didn't do anything about it, even there were not so many people as customers. I couldn't pay with my last GBP, and when I ask for a plate for my cake the answer was:we are just doing take away. If I did not been as tired as I was I just would go somewhere else!

I was here (Nero at Gate 12) right at the opening, most tables still had crumbs or were dirty from the day before... Cleanliness: 0 stars!

They were extremely fast considering the rush, well organised and very accomadating with my difficult order, especially when I changed it a couple times. Can't fault them.

Quick service despite long queue as it's the only cafe open at the airport this early in the morning. Excellent vegan pastry👌 and soya flat white. Great that they don't charge extra for soya milk. Staff wear face masks properly and avoid contact.

Disgusting behaviour from an untrained jobsworth with no licencing knowledge. She spewed out that licencing hours for alcohol finish at 6pm. However I went along to Costa and they said 9pm. Just support your competitors or at least leave your issues at home. No need for attitude especially when extremely inexperienced

I think is one of the more real Italian coffee chains on the market compared to the others that sell just black stinky water with a vague taste of coffee in buckets of half litre, doesn't work

Very nice cosy place. At the departure floor (1st floor) there is free wifi at the airport. You can sit and have your coffee here while watching the flight board. Coffee was tasty and not overpriced. I highly recommend this place. Get a stamp for your coffee card and the tenth hot drink will be free

Friendly staff and quick service. Tasty breakfast options compared to other chain coffee places. Want to say a particular thank you to the Australian (sorry if I have that wrong- early morning!) guy who was brilliant and sorted a refund for me when one food item went through twice by mistake. Very appreciated when everyone is running low on sleep!

Awesome freshly-baked pastries and rapid, organised service are the hallmark of this airport unit. Same good quality coffee as their other locations.

Acogedores sofás y buen café mientras esperas que anuncien tu vuelo. Tienen sandwiches, bollitos y tartas para acompañar tus bebidas. Está al lado de un montón de buenas tiendas y es muy recomendable la de productos escoceses de duty free.

Just about four stars. The prices are pretty shocking, so no five star review from me. But service was fine and friendly, and the tea was good, so more than bearable.

Handed me a boiling hot cup of coffee without the cardboard wrapper so I burnt by hands (aggravating my eczema) and it was so hot I couldn’t drink it for 15 mins. Coffee was ok.

Awful experience at Edinburgh Airport Cafe Nero. The young lady who took my order was not friendly, and the lady who took my money gladly was not nice or friendly. Nods in the direction of a drink on the counter and says “Cafe Americano”. I pick up my drink and proceed to open it and see it is tea with a tea bag hanging out the side. I go back to the counter and say, this isn’t my drink and she rudely nods again in the direction of a cup sitting on the counter. There is your Cafe Americano. I said, well you told me the previous drink was mine, she turns and starts laughing with the young lady next to her. I will never frequent this business again. I will also contact corporate and let them know of these two rude young women. If they have a problem serving Americans too bad, there are people flying from all over the world and they better be glad they have a job serving coffee in an airport frequented by world travelers who enable them to have gainful employment. Bad experience after a wonderful stay in Scotland. Shame on these rude stupid young women!

Coffee weak and watery. Asked for two shots, but very weak. Asked for two more shots. Very slightly better, but still tastes as if you are diluting your coffee. The Italian coffee company - one would have expected much, much better. Staff kind if clearly too harassed to engage with customers.

Coffee and croissants are good by airport standards. However, expect to be told that it all comes in single use takeaway cups because dishwasher is broken - really, every other week?? Also surly staff, sometimes downright rude. Only when in need of caffeine...

Not a bad cafe. But rather uninspiring. Coffee OK, staff neutral. Not too friendly. But a great location So they catch lots of passing trade.

Had a flat white and it was really bad. Very low espresso quality. Avoid.

Coffee is great, staff is ok. Ordered coffee in and got that in takeaway cup. Next thing is that I got my cake in bag instead on plate with spoon or fork, would be much better.

charged twice ....used my switch on the 5th to pay for two coffees and two cakes and i have been charged twice the transactions appeared on my internet bank on 8th and 9th,i phoned edinburgh airport caffe nero and explained also emailed head office,, STILL WAITING FOR REFUND,,,,,Coffies ,brownie slice and caramel slice were lovely,the staff and caffe nero ideal .

Good service especially as dealing with overflow from Eat. They made me a custom drink and were happy and discreet In doing so. My airport coffee stop of choice.

Service is slow, especially when people are waiting for a flight at Gate 5. Coffee was good however and staff are very friendly.
