Caffè Nero in Mendip

Went in with family for a coffee. Quiet when arrived then got busy.

Sat outside on a lovely sunny day had a herbal tea and GF brownie nice spot for a break and a snack

Much better than "costa"lot coffee for sure, service was amazing! Atmosphere was rather cramped and noisy but that's due to accompanying someone with autism and myself.

As someone who is disabled and alone I really appreciated the fact that the staff were extremely knowledgeable about ingredients and allergens and were so kind and friendly. I can’t drink or eat most of what is on your menu but your staff went above and beyond what could have been expected. Thank you.

Lovely coffee is not badly priced.

Good coffee, but not much on offer in the way of food. I assume the photo is of somewhere else as it certainly didn't look so good as the photo.

The service was impeccable. I like my hot chocolate to be very hot and when I asked if they could heat mine up a bit, they made me a completely fresh, piping hot one. The carrot cake was delicious too. All the staff were very polite and professional particularly the young man who appeared to be the manager. A lovely end to our day.

Pretty average but expectations met

Usually excellent coffee but today the drinks were litterally luke warm. They were replaced but more care needed on temperatures.

Long queue but it was midday , still not long to wait for an excellent cappuccino 👍🏻

Great coffee shop in Clarks Village - somehow manages to be better than most other chains. Decent coffee, a blueberry muffin that still seemed fresh at 4pm, friendly service and comfy chairs. Only drawback was it was a bit noisy, even though it wasn't that busy - acoustics don't seem to figure very high on coffee shop designers lists.

My partner and I love Caffe Nero coffee and found the coffee still tasting great, we must have come in on training day so it seemed that the staff were preoccupied on their mobile phones and when I walked up to the counter and didn't feel that the guy was feeling his best and was in some kind of discomfort . However we still enjoyed our coffee and relaxed outside on the terrace outside . The reason I have given 3 ⭐ is nearly all the staff didn't seem to want to communicate because they were on their mobile devices. Communication is key in hospitality and I didn't feel that on this occasion. We will return to Caffe Nero in the future. Kind regards Pete Nelson

Never been in when you don't have to queue. Even when there are other coffee places near by. Which goes to prove what a fantastic cafe it is. Staff are all lovely, and the atmosphere is wonderful

My first visit to this Caffè Nero, and what a brilliant team. Really friendly, interactive and customer friendly (unlike those we have in London). An absolute pleasure to be talked to, rather than talked at. The queue often got quite long, but it was fast and efficiently handled and everyone was looked after in a really friendly manner. This has to be my best ever Caffè Nero experience!! Will be back the next time I visit!!

I am unsure who served me, but I do regularly grab a coffee here using the Three Rewards app. Upon visiting on a lunch break, the app was working and I had the code ready, but then randomly the code disappeared. I stepped to the side as the drink was being made to try and re-fresh the app and get the code back, but it still didn't work. After a few attempts, I decided I would pay full price instead as the app was not working. The staff member that served me could understand my frustration, and let me have the drink on the house and didn't want me to pay. I want to express my thankfulness for this by leaving a 5* review, this staff member serves me regularly and is always going above and beyond every time. Thanks for such a lovely experience yet again :)

Well laid out venue, reasonable prices, when not too busy seems a bit big. Good access for all fairly comprehensive menu.

Arrived early first place we went too for brunch the staff were lovely, place and tables clean and my pan au raisin was freshly baked normally when we go to Plymouth or Exeter outlets they aren't so fresh. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Decor felt like being in TK Maxx rather than Italy. Felt chain branded and toilet was tatty. Great coffee and hot chocolate was excellent. Staff were friendly my friend could not carry his drink as it was a little cup filled to the brink for £4.35 I said he could not carry it due to his dyspraxia, so It ended up that I had to carry it on a big tray to allow for spillage ! Why not a giant cappuccino mug 3/4 full with saucer ? Lots of pictures of Italian farmers and rural scenery. Quite surreal in Clarks Glastonbury.

Went in this shop on Monday morning to grab a quick take away coffee . The place was not busy the guy who was serving me was constantly sipping his coffee out of a take away cup while I was placing my order which I have found totally unprofessional! Then , when I’ve placed my order I’ve noticed the AWFUL working area where my coffee was made : surfaces had burnt coffee and milk residue on , the area was cluttered with dirty espresso cups & filthy cloths which they used to wipe the steaming arms down . Also , the guys were just chatting to each other behind the bar. I do not understand how can a company that sells food and drink have this unhygienic and dirty working environment , this is a really bad reputation of the company . I certainly won’t be back , that place needs a deep clean and proper management ! This is not acceptable on a quiet Monday morning !

Another great Cafe Nero outlet. A well presented coffee shop with plentyof seating and room inside and more seating outside too. A dog friendly cafe and child friendly too. ( debatable who behaves the best) A great place to chill out while having a break from shopping.

Great staff, good coffee but a very odd, long skinny space that means you're always squeezing past someone (or vice versa) at the till.

stopped for Xmas hot chocolate,not very good cheap powder chocolate and way to much cream on top and not very hot not going back again

Excellent coffee. Helpful staff. Very busy when I visited so a long time in the queue. It wasn't easy negotiating narrow aisles in my wheelchair but staff moved chairs so I could get to a table.

My daughter and I, and her 2 small dogs, went for hot chocolate and a quick brunch while shopping in Clarks Village. Every member of staff we encountered was lovely and helpful. We were very happy that well-behaved dogs were allowed in.

Coffee ☕️ was OK, the young lady serving was rather rude, won't be going back there,plenty of other Coffee shops around.

Great staff, good service given & the best coffee served.

Dishwasher was broken so everything sold in takeaway - cardboard cups, wooden knives, forks and spoons, pathetic paper plates that collapsed when you picked them up. Charged full price too and refused to reduce when asked. Poor and unpleasant experience.

Fairly obsessive visitor here. Friendly, comfortable café with lovely coffee. Staff are friendly to chipper to slightly grumpy but still helpful at the end of the day 😄 Food is nice too, if a little expensive. Don't buy bottled soft drinks here (too pricey), go barista made or go home!

My late lamented dog loved this place and they do a mean vegan croissant.Maybe it's asking too much for more similar options so just keep the raspberry croissants coming.

Nice coffee shop. I'm a cold drink person, with no coffee in it... which sounds odd going into a coffee shop... but when the person you're with wants coffee...! My only criticism would be that I couldn't see what drinks were available that weren't coffee based.

Nothing special here. The staff are very busy and doing their best with so many customers. The tables outside are not clean and need better service. It would benefit the Organisation to use current ordering technologies that allows customers to avoid waiting 10 to 15 minutes inside to get served.

New ecuadorian coffee was offered and very nice. Service good. Not a single low carb or keto snack available and no info on display. Packeted products very difficult to read

Basic chain, at time of visit tables were dirty and overflowing with old cups and plates. Not much available if you are gluten free. Coffee is decent with good flavour. Use Meerkats deal to get 10% off.

Very busy making indoor seating limited. Lots of outdoor seating available but a bit cold to sit outside. There were only 2 staff serving making it a little slow, however they were very friendly and welcoming. The coffee was good and cafe clean. We sat on a sofa that had definitely seen better days (really due for an upgrade) but everything else was perfectly serviceable. Would visit again next time I'm in area. Disabled access, dog friendly.

Disabled access and facilities are excellent, wonderful atmosphere and choice of coffee and cakes, comfy chairs, friendly service, staff very helpful, holding doors etc., assisting with my disabled mum.

Grabbed a quick hot choc yesterday whilst shopping. Quick efficient service from pleasant staff. Tables appeared clean and overall I good atmosphere - took ours away so didn’t actually sit inside …full disability access throughout and disabled parking spaces in main car park

Dog friendly and nice coffee just a shame about the miserable and cocky manager/supervisor who served me. I’m guessing it was because she was absolutely full of cold coughing and snuffling in her wrist whilst making £4-£5 drinks.

The cleanliness not good. 2 tables near counter were dirty. I asked for a cloth to clean and the young man behind counter came out cleaned ours but left the other one . We noticed the tables were cleared by older workers but were not wiped clean untill young man serving was free to wipe. ???

It's a chain but I like the coffee so visit now and again.

Nice coffee shop in the centre of clarks village and surrounded by plenty of outlet shops. Hot chocolate was tasty and the facilities are great with new furniture and 3 toilets. Plenty of windows which allow enough natural light inside the shop.

Very nice cafe in the centre of clarks village. Very nice and eficient staff singing songs. They make you enjoy the time while you are waiting for them to prepare your orders. We had 2 hot chocolates and they tasted really good. The inside space is very big and confirtable and it has also a terrace. They had 3 toilets and they cleaned all the tables all the time. Very nice place

Was OK ish !!.. Busy.. but made overly so by the chaotic way they take orders.. I've used this branch many times.. & its always the same.. never seems any system in taking orders .. Chaotic is the only word that applies to its customer service.
