Caffe Nero in City of London, Westminster

The young lady staff there is really friendly and helpful. My phone was almost running out of battery, just 10% left, and she helped to charge it behind the bar. Saved me!!!! Thanks a lot to the young lady!

Great little coffee shop, perfectly located for the theatre.

Very good treatment, in my case it was a relief to find staff who spoke Spanish. The coffee is not that good, although there are not many places with good coffee in London.

I went there to find relief after an unpleasant experience. The female staff is very friendly, and the coffee is delicious. It was nice to stop by here on my last day in London and calm my mind.

We had tea/coffee and snacks. We stayed in the cafe as it was not busy.

A Shane the power sockets were excellent needed bur the service was poor. I didn't get a toastie i asked for had to to back up making me later. I didn't like the toasties but loved my drink

Delicious cappuccino with cookie

Caffe Nero offers coffee inspired by Italy. At Lancaster place, right across the street, it's not as busy but a calmer and nicer atmosphere. A golden place if you find here.

Coffee was not good, burnt and bad taste. Service was really slow. 3 people in que line waiting more than 20 min.

Standard Nero's in the front, so (to me) the best chain coffee. In the back more than average relaxed seating and a beautiful victoriana window just to add to the setting. Background music is very background, but I'd prefer jazz than the light nothing musak.

A convinient coffee place, serves good coffee and pastries. Customer service was good. The place didn't look well kept though, and the toilets are really not good, from walking down the stairs to the doors and toilets, it's really no good. When you see the front of the building, it's really a nice inviting place, you go in and have your coffee, it's a touristic area so you understand it looks a bit messy, but the toilets don't match anything, they really need changing them.

The coffee at this branch of Caffe Nero is consistently excellent. I asked the lovely barista why it varied so much at other branches and she gave quite a technical explanation and she clearly takes pride in getting it right. Will visit whenever I'm in the area.

Always a constant, love coming here on walking into central london. A pit stop, always hot drinks, pleasant service.

I enjoyed the coffee and cake. It was a relaxing interlude on a warm, humid afternoon. The cafe was shady and a bit shabby, but not too busy and very comfortable.

I think I waited 15 min to order, and there was only 1 other person in the cafe. The person working was busy with other stuff, also not very friendly. The coffee was fine.

Coffee of lowest quality, the barista didn't even bother to wipe the group handle after previous coffee, leaving the leftovers for the next one. Milk was steamed too hot, but it's the lesser problem. Train your staff please.

Average experience- customer service was not great nor was the atmosphere hence why I decided over having a coffee in the cafe and ordered a take out.

Great place to study drink coffee and chill

Nice little shop with plenty of seating (lots hidden away behind the preparation area). Popped in very early on a Friday morning and the place was empty. We sat for an hour with our drinks as most people popped in and took away drinks. Would have preferred proper cups, we weren't asked if we wanted to sit and drink, or take out, so we're given paper cups. Nice friendly service though, and the Barrista was very chatty with the regulars coming in for their morning drinks.

Excellent place to have a cup of coffee and chilling for a while, staff is super friendly and they have got the toilet facilities as well.

The food and coffee are both excellent. The staff is friendly and the seating area is also good.

Restroom absolutely terrible. Toilet brown and looked like it has never seen any bleach. Bin and surrounding floor over flowing with rubbish. Hand dyer worked but was cracked.

Two us stop for coffee and cakes , Disappointed coffee not in a cup when sitting in and my White chocolate and raspberry cake in a box's and not on Plate . Poor . Service not that friendly.

Yesterday(Saturday)18.02 , we went to the Nero with my friends around 18:30. I orderd the Iced Cappucino with vanilla syrup. Barista was so precise, and fast. I forgot to ask her name, (short brown hair, blue eyes) She made the foam with the vanilla syrup. Was amazing!! After the first sip i just wanted more and more. When we left the shop i promised myself that i will come back again. Shop/tables/toilet was clean. I can recommend to everyone to try Lancaster Place Caffè Nero!

this is one cafe nero branch that most dirty cafe i have ever seen . all tables are uncleaned, no clean seats , no clean floor,, seems like no one from staff cares about of anything inside.

Good coffee, payed extra for oat milk but got regular. Asked her if it was oat when she handed me it and she rolled her eyes and said yes. Didn’t bother to go back and get a new one, but the coffee itself is good. Just make sure if you’re allergic or vegan to make it clear, so you don’t get regular milk like me.

Appalling service staff on Sunday morning 12th Feb 2023 talking too much to each other so got the order completely wrong a few times then refused to put hot milk into my Americano said they were not allowed , I said all coffee shops will add hot milk and being a regular at other neros for years and having that same drink never been refused the Chinese girl that was serving said it was just for that branch it was their policy I had to laugh i walked out and went to the other one in covent garden and had my drink as per normal honestly the 2 staff in Neros today should not be serving customers they are not interested and are making up the rules

Snídaně i káva byla velmi dobrá. Dobrý dojem kazil bezdomovec, který pospával o stolku a dopíjel po lidech zbytky kávy.

Drinks and food fine! Toilets dirty and dingy, no soap to wash hands and no hot water! Would not use this water coffee shop again!

I love Caffè Nero so this review is more about comparison to other locations. In my view their coffee, and hot chocolate is better than costa, Starbucks etc Great central location, coffee and hot chocolate great as usual, staff friendly and efficient. The front of the store and it’s seating area is nice but it isn’t the biggest cafe and the seating at the back feels a bit bleak and bland (in winter anyway)

Am ersten Adventssonntag wurden wir hier sehr zügig und freundlich bedient. Die Weihnachtsedition des Kaffees war äußerst lecker, es gibt viele Sitzgelegenheiten.

It is ok, nothing special. The staff is not very friendly, they just ignore us when we came in and carry on chatting instead.

Called in at start of our final day in london. Service was first rate, ordered a flat white, breakfast tea, cinnamon swirl and a lemon muffin. Tea came in a nice big cup, could not fault any of it.

We came in for a coffee after a long day. We wanted to have something different than we usually order but we were a bit unsure what to try. Our lovely barista Edina made an amazing iced cappuccino for us. She was very friendly and the service was quick. I was impressed.

Nice and peaceful and quiet at the back and gives you time to relax, I had the Cherry Granola and a coffee.

First time visiting this particular store last week and the coffee is really good (as it always is at a nero, much better than other chains) but one girl with ginger/red hair was on a phone call the whole time I was waiting and ordering. The other poor girl serving us was stuck doing a queue of customers all on her own until this girl finally put her phone down and huffed at customers next to me and very coldly asked what they wanted. Went back up for cake after our coffee and was left waiting for ages until finally noticed the girl who had been on her phone earlier was actually crouched in the corner behind the bar on her phone, had to call her to the till to order which resulted in an eye roll and another sigh. Overall, store was dirty (not surprising seeing as only one member of staff was trying their best to work) and really felt like the red head would happily slam the door in my face rather than serve me. Recommend the nero in strand instead.

Latte was good and hot but x4 hot chocolates were cold, they redone the 4 that were greatly good.

Superb customer service - right from when I stepped in the door, the barista greeted me with a smile and took the time to ask how I was. I wasn't sure what to order, felt something with chocolate so she recommended the iced chocolate. Absolutely loved it, kept me engaged whilst making the drink and even said after that she'd be happy to change as I said I wasn't huge on too sweet things. Very nice drink, great customer service on an overcast day - it was a refreshing reminder of the issue of subscription services from other coffee shops.

Flat white, in take-away cup was thin, didn't finish it

Not very clean table was not cleared we had to clear and clean it ourselves and the floor needed a clean.

Disgusting, every table has dirty dishes on them, staff did not come out once from behind the counter to busy chatting about other staff members , I had to clear my table and it was still sat on the main bar 20 mins later, bins over flowing

The most rude staff member I have ever met in my life! Didn't serve me what I actually asked for then huffed and moaned when she corrected it. Served me an Americano in a takeaway cup (but was eating in) so asked if I could have it in a ceramic cup instead. Huffed at that too. Poured the existing coffee into the mug, literally slammed it down on the counter and "launched" a spoon in it. Then, well, we paid cash!! Wow! That was her worst nightmare! Huffing, puffing, rolling her eyes as she then had to do something on a different till instead. She actually made my wife's eyes well-up with tears as she was made to feel that bad. You should be ashamed. I dont know what the servers name is as she wasn't wearing a badge but she was a larger lady with should-length died-blonde hair and glasses. About 30 years old? AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! 🤬

The most rude staff I have ever experienced in my life - literally. Refused to give me a china cup because they said they didn't get paid overtime for cleaning cups. Has been one of my favourite coffee shops for many many years but haven't been there for a few years and will never go again.

Visited London for a show and popped in to café Nero Reason for a 5 review is to say thank you to the manager who explained that the Bluelight card was not taken but discounted the meal and made a point of thanking my partner and the NHS for all the work they have and continue to do to keep us all well Her smile and comments made my partners first break from Covid that bit more special Thank you

Standard Cafe Nero, decent coffee etc. In an old building, ceiling looks like it could do with some work! All ok.

Tasty espresso and friendly service. Got a chance to relax a bit after a long walk. The toilet was a bit dirty, but the coffee shop is very cosy and comfortable, clean and tidy. In my opinion, Caffé Nero is using q characteristic, pretty good quality sort of beans, therefore I recommend this place to coffee lovers.

Chain coffee shop. Pleasant friendly staff, good range of light snacks, sandwiches and cakes, and a good cup of fresh coffee.

Nice surroundings, delicious choice of hot chocolates, but... Pity about the air conditioning mightily blowing (to the point of rearranging my wife's hair) very cold air, while it was 5 degrees outside. The very least a place like this should offer for the price of coffee charged is a comfortable seating to drink it.

Well located place. Very clean and at least yesterday, the server was the best, kind, fun and very proffesional.

Comfortable armchairs and power sockets that actually work. One of my favourite branches in London.

Tasty warm sandwiches & warm drinks. 1 star less for not having a child friendly toilet.

Very spacious location with plenty of room for working. Didn't seem overly packed considering it's in a busy location!

The service is very fast and nice. The food is various and delicious. Furthermore it is in the city and you can go fast to other attractions. Very cool cafe.
