Caffe Nero in Croydon

I’m a vitality member and get coffees as form of vouchers. This is the only caffee Nero store that doesn’t allow me to purchase two coffees at the same time (mine and my husbands on different phones) ridiculous! First time I visited I was made to wait 20 mins while the lady decided to clean the store. She closed the door on me and told me to wait while she cleaned! Service is horrible. Will try my best to avoid this store again.

Painfully slow even when it isn’t busy. Every time I go in there is only ever 1 member of staff working. You might expect 2 members of staff in the mornings at least but not at this branch.

Staff are usually ok but today I presented a torn loyalty card that my child had ripped and asked for this to be transferred to a new card. I was told I could have “picked this on the street”. Highly insulting. And highly unlikely considering my coffee cost £3.50! Fine a more polite way to say no in the future. And perhaps get rid of paper loyalty cards altogether if you’re worried about people defrauding the system on such a petty scale. 2 stars as my coffee was nice and the cafe is nice and quiet.

Perfect for a quite coffee. Good ambience, fabulous staff and of course....super range of coffee! Lots of comfy tables to allow both sovial gatherings or doing a bit of work while watching the world go by!

I went into Cafe Nero's in Coulsdon with my small puppy under my coat asleep. After purchasing a coffee I was told because of the puppy I would have to sit by the door. I said ok no problem. I sat down and began drinking my coffee when i was approached by a rude member of staff requesting (who said she was the manager) that I put my puppy on the floor as dogs are not allowed on the furniture. I said I understand however she is not on the furniture she in on my lap asleep. She retorted that if I did not put the dog on the floor I should leave the premises. I said why didn't you mention this when I purchased the coffee had I have known I would not have come here. I was then asked to leave. I was completely shocked at the way I was spoken/treated when all I did was buy a coffee. I will NEVER use this shop again. I suggest thay your staff in the Coulsdon Branch all attend a customer care course because they clearly have no idea how to be nice to customers.

It’s a good branch of cafe Nero and the coffee and snacks are nice. The staff are very friendly and efficient. However there are several independent coffee shops in Coulsdon which are much better so I’d rather go to one of them instead of a chain.

My wife and I visited for morning coffee. The staff were surly and discourteous, leading to a truly dreadful experience. Avoid.
