Caffe Nero in Sutton

Service has declined significantly after they hired the Indian guy. Bad tasting coffee. I'm from the same region myself, so I'm not being racist, but you can see he doesn't care to do anything. Everytime I've been when he's there, had to remake the coffee. This was my favorite go to place but sadly I won't be coming here again. Which really angers me. I doubt cafe Nero will do anything about this.

The staff are efficient and friendly and make the best pistachio iced latte!

Kind staff ☀️ They have been welcoming, nice and polite when I ordered my Mocha coffee and paid using the QR code from Octopus Energy app. They offered me once to try different coffee beans as well. Thank you, it is pleasant to be here. They also try to prevent waste and use Too Good To Go app, where their pastries and sandwiches are sold for a low price as otherwise those would be binned at the end of the day. They made an exception and shared more food with me (2 bags in total). I have ADHD disability and am forgetful, so might get the manager's name wrong. I think his name is George. I thanked him and the staff for sharing more food with me and let him know I've been laid off from a Software Engineering job and have been unemployed for over 8 months, so this extra food will be very helpful. Very empathetic manager, he said I can bring my CV and apply to work with them to get by. I am grateful for the help they offered 🙏 I am extremely frugal, I have some emergency savings and have a few interviews coming up. I hope I get a job in my field, otherwise I'll try to come back. I know the job market is tough and I might not have such opportunity in the future. Either way, I know I will definitely be coming back to this coffee shop!

Conveniently located in the heart of Sutton and close to all shops, without decent boutique or independent coffee shops around, Nero is a reasonable place for a good cuppa coffee.

Great friendly staff !!..make it worthwhile going for the overpriced coffee

The staff are always friendly, helpful and approachable in this branch of Caffè Nero, and it’s great to be able to sit and relax over a tasty coffee. The advantage is that it stays open later than some other branches of Caffè Nero. Thank you to all the team.

This Caffè Nero is much faster than the one in Cheam Village. Very reliable before catching a train.

Cozy place with the perfect coffee for Sunday paperwork .

It smells and the floors are dirty. The area where they prep drinks is very dirty too.

I do enjoy coming here and there are some staff that are great at making drinks… BUT they are some stuff who are terrible at making, half full and the rest is froth or it’s burnt. It’s not like it’s busy when it happens so they aren’t rushing… I like this place but loosing my patience slowly.

Last week I went to Caffè Nero Carshalton Road been served by Ena Hussain she was very friendly,Ordered a coffee and she recommended pistachio cake my gosh it was the best loved it so much took my family next day and got served by her again, she made the best coffee :))

The coffee is good quality. However, the toilets are horrible. For this price I would expect some decent toilets.

I worked for this company for years.. Today one of the new staff (dark hair, tall lady i don't know her name) telling me after she cut it front of me the ham and cheese tostati sandwich.. after she cut my vegetarian sandwich with the same nife. I told her nicely because i know this is a hard job. But this is basic thing and i don't eat meat at all.. basically very dirty the bar and all the store but i don't mind i can take it away or don't buy anything.. she told me they always do this.. cut the vegetarian staff with a same nife the meat staff.. is it true? I don't think so she started to laughing on something with her collage Jasmin if i know her name well.. i don't know what about but i don't care to be honest. After she offered me another sandwich.. i can swap it if i want.. waste of time.. i said you could loose your job for this.. i am very disappointed. Thought i wrote this down maybe one day they change something in there..

Been going there for years. Nice location at the top of Sutton High Street to enjoy a cuppa to relax to even to meet someone. Nice sitting place inside and outside. This place looks a little tired over the years so a refurb may be nice.

One Asian lady is so helpful and smile like angel! My mocha was a bit too much and got on the saucer, she helped me change it immediately! I love her smile as well ☺️

Disgusting customer service. Rude bartenders . How come they are Always unhappy. It’s like I am coming to their house without permission

Worst experience ever. My 10 years old got served 2 shots of expresso with his pistachio caramel cold drink, and the babychino for the little one had only “foam” and no actual drink/milk there. I have turned the cap other way around to check if something is going to come out but it did not. It was a joke

Very rude staff and forgot half my order. I waited a long time to pay for my order while they talked amongst each other and never bothered to charge me, I then went to a table as I presumed they charge me afterwards. About 5 mins later they scream at me that I still need to pay, which was rude and in front of the whole cafe. They then forgot half of my order anyway when they bought it to me. Very poor service.

Chairs were very dirty, as was the floor and worktops, place needs a good clean!

Similarly to other Caffe Neros, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They always seem to have system issues and always seem to take it out on the customer. I'm not even surprised by the poor service any more. You're best off avoiding this and all other Caffe Neros, despite the coffee being better than other chains.

Can be awkward to get into with a powered wheelchair.

I enjoy coming here the staff are okay and I enjoy the coffee what else more can I say.

Not a good experience, first person on Till forgot to pass the order and kept us waiting. Had to ask person preparing and giving the order and then they realised and worked on it. Girl on till realised the mistake but took no pain to even apologise, I guess pretty usual thing there... Next the Chai Latte was soo bad that had to throw it away.. Had a takeaway as we were in rush, else would have given the feedback in store too... Guys Bad service + Bad Product = Disaster.... I was told Cafe Nero is close alternate of Starbucks but I feel its light years difference. Regret not walking few extra blocks to Starbucks. But lesson learnt, not going back there even with gun on my head ;)

Other people like the food. Most things have loads of wheat flour in them, so not for me. The chocolate's nice though.

My regular Nero in Sutton High St. Unfortunately this time I wasn't served by my usual girls. Manager continue to chat to a team member of staff who was on lone from store at top of high street. I stood waiting to be served looked at me and walked away. This is not the first time i have found manager to be rude!!! My coffee was good, no ginger biscuits when I sat down rubbish under table. Many tables were dirty. Although they had 4 team members

Always like coming in for a coffee before getting the children from school. Nice atmosphere, staff are quick and polite. Only slight complaint is how much the prices have risen recently. But that's everywhere really not exclusive to cafe nero.

One of the bigger Nero around and very popular. Due to this, every time I go, the place feels tired and could do with more attention.

Excellent Café. Ordered a coffee and a chocolate muffin and got it basically instantly. Muffin was amazing but a napkin would’ve been nice since it made such a mess haha. Coffee was good and theres a large assortment of food. Tables were clean, there is air conditioning inside since its warm, and it wasn’t busy. Definitely recommend to everyone!

What set this apart for me was the fact that the staff were really great and the kindness shown to people less fortunate by letting them use toilets and by regularly topping up large jugs of fresh water. Well done Cafe Nero, I wish all Large Companies were more like this.

Yeah its not bad as far as Chain Cafes go. If you have been to a Cafe Nero you will know what they are like and know that the coffee is actually ok. This particular Cafe Nero is always busy so just be aware. Its situated at the top of the high street of Sutton and there is both seating inside and out. Lots of large windows too so great for people watching. I go here often and even though its busy I have only been given the wrong order once and to be fair the coffee i was given still tasted great! Also no parking outside id recommend to park at the Morrison's over the street and its a 2 min walk from there.

The barristers are not well-trained and they've changed very often as i go most of days during the weekend, most of them are a new face to me. Furthermore most of staffs are not kind.( 9/10) ' The taste of Coffee is good.

As coffee shops go this one has one good thing going for it - location! Otherwise cramped and not too clean looking.

Been here twice for coffee and each time the staff were not very inviting

3 members of staff behind till, we were stood at the counter and were completely ignored by the trainee as he served the people behind instead. Other staff member saw and did not apologise or immediately come to us. Unfortunately rude staff and average drinks

Terrible experience. They refused to put my hot chocolate in a proper cup because they can't wash up past 5pm! What a pile of rubbish! You lost a customer. Strangely though the muffin and the brownies came in a ceramic plate. So, beware they probably do not wash the plates...

Having my coffee with friends for the last 10 years in the Sutton branch. A regular customer. They know my usual drink. I don't have to order. ;)

Always busy but good service even when very busy

I did a Too Good to Go order on a Sunday, where the collection window was 17:00-17:30. Yet it turned out to have closed at 17:00. Why would you have a slot for when the shop is closed? I couldn't heat my toastie when it turned up at 17:10 during my work break, yet the staff member had the audacity to act p*ssed off when I turned up "late" (on time, in reality; in line with the booking). I guess next time I should check closing times before booking because I can't even trust the shops themselves to know when they should be closed. I guess when you turn up to this Caffè Nero you take a gamble; you might have some competent and friendly staff on duty or....you might not.

Terrible service this morning, the baristas had no idea of what they were doing and the service was painfully slow. The paninis were being cooked a long time before any drink order had be taken so they weren't served nice & hot . I finally got to put my order in for a drink, I asked for a tea with soya milk. The barista just added a lot of soya milk into the mug , I asked why wasn't the milk served separate as it usually is. He just said 'you asked for soya milk '....I had waited ages to be served and was so annoyed I just asked for my money back. Plenty of coffee shops in Sutton with friendly, polite service...will go to those in future.

Nice large coffee shop with lots of inside seating options, variety of differenf types of chairs with lots of outside seating too that has a canopy overhead to protect customers from rainfall and also looks on to the high street. It seemed there were lots of fresh food items available, the coffee was delicious and there was no queue. Even whilst I was sitting having my drink and snack I kept looking up at the counter and there wasn't ever much of a queue. The staff seemed efficient and friendly and helped me with some suggestions on drink choices when I first arrived and was deciding what to have.

OKish to have coffee, but lots of dust on the lights directly above the bakery section. Toilets closed most of the time. Chairs outside removed up to 2 hours before closing!

Very friendly staff. Long queues but staff are efficient. Lots of dust on the lamps which are situated directly over the bakery section. Lots of dirt around the entrance. I can see both barristers are busy serving customers, so why is @Cafe Nero not hiring a third person even on a part time basis to maintain the standards on the floor? 🤦🏾‍♀️ Cleanliness is an issue. Sort it out to increase trust. A clean person is likely going to be clean and true to you. A business is no different.

It's nice Caffe, just need to be cleaned more often!

Good service one a busy morning and the seating area is particularly good in this one with partitions which means you can work on your laptop and possibly have a short online meeting too.

Nice spaceous cafe on the High Street. Love a good Nero coffee and cake after a cycle. This particular cafe is near enough to the road to be accessible coming back after a long ride, and has a good view out of the windows from the counter so you can lean you bike outside and keep an eye on it while you're queueing.

I’ve Never Had A Coffee, Or Latte From This Establishment But Staff Dorian Advised Me On What I Should Drink. I Went With A Carmel Latte, Recommend By Dorian.She Was Very Friendly & Gave Big Smiles. I Enjoyed My First Experience At Caffe’Nero, & Will Definitely Be Back.
