Just had a delivery for three of us and it was genuinely vile food. Initial issue was it not being hot. Egg Fried Rice was dry and hard, not remotely fluffy and barely edible. Szechuan Chicken was bland, had no flavour and 80% of the tub was just stringy vegetables and not chicken. Noodles were ok and that was pretty much it. Costs going up is no excuse for food having zero flavour or quality. Especially when prices have gone up anyway. There's lots of better Chinese places in Sutton/Carshalton.

This place has some pretty bad reviews so i thought i would share a good one - I can vouch for their noodle soup! Very nice and friendly service.

Didn't read the order notes, it seems, but they made up for it with massive portions. Good food, well worth the price.

Awesome value great food, superb, we loved the Singapore noodles , really well balanced with traditional flavours, and the duck was just divine, great food at an amazing price xx

Amazing Chinese takeaway, with complementary treats

If I could score it higher I would, huge portion sizes, quick delivery and packaged well. The food was full flavoured, so hot we had to wait for it to cool down before we could eat and tasted so fresh as though it had been homemade - by far the best quality I've had outside of Asia

WONDERFUL CHICKEN SUSHI ROLLS & EGG FRIED RICE!!! YUM!!! Arrived on time, & food taste was excellent. Cannot fault it. Beautiful touches in the way the food was packaged & presented. Plastic boxes with lids of green & wonderful engraved motive on the top, will be saving these as they're divine. Cannot understand the negative reviews?? Best Chinese I've eaten in a year, plus my housebound 86 year old mother loved her rice too. Will be going here again. Bless you!

Food was cold and didn’t taste of anything

Portion was very small and did not taste nice

I ordered salt and pepper squid,salt and pepper spare ribs,and salt and pepper prawns all were very soggy, cold and unbeatable.I ordered online tried to call it’s says invalid number.Its a nightmare.The picture shown at web and item delivered was totally different

I hate to leave a bad review but Just Eat would not refund me. The quality was just awful. Chicken in black bean sauce was super super salty, the chicken was very chewy. All that salt is a massive health hazard. the beef Thai green curry tasted of buttery plastic with no other flavour and the beef was bland. the pork dim sum was like eating balls of chewy salty plastic. very disappointed, especially because the shanghai soup buns were absolutely delicious. I wish we had just ordered that.

I don’t normally review, and thought I would ignore the previous reviews for this one and make my own judgement. Worst Chinese I have ever had by a mile. Portion was half full, terrible taste and meat quality. Never again.

I love this place & always order when I’m here visiting family. I would only say that this time, the noodle dish was very bland & dry. That hasn’t happened before, so it may just be a mistake this one time. There should be some kind of sauce added in to make it moist. Otherwise, everything about Wokpapa is great.

rice is very very watery even my 3year old son said it looked nasty

This the worse chicken curry I had in years , no coconut milk , no veg just 3 slice Peppers and tones of onions. Never will order from them again absolutely disgusting

Have ordered three times and have always had good food. Love the range of dim sum and Singapore noodles best we've had.

INSTRUCTIONS IN THE NOTES WERE NOT FOLLOWED. ORDERED A VEGETARIAN OPTION BUT BOTH WERE NON-VEGETARIAN. PORTION IS VERY SMALL FOR THE PRICE CHARGED (THEY CALL IT A FULL PORTION BUT THE FOOD WAS DELIVERED IN THE SMALL PLASTIC CONTAINER). VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Food is good as always. Love the Spicy Prawn fried rice. Less curry in the singapore rice for me and more of a dark sauce like black bean sauce and a bit more spice added to it.

Probably one of the worst Chinese takeaways I’ve had. Kungpo chicken was some chicken pieces in a watery sauce with a few nuts thrown in. Sweet & Sour chicken balls were tough. Singapore rice was ok but all in all very disappointing for the premium prices charged.

Good Kung pao and black bean sauce too as well as lots of tasty noodles but my prawn noodle meal had very few Prawns. Disappointing

Rice was undercooked and still crunchy. It was rubbery, felt almost like eating plastic.

Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The chicken satay was so chewy it wasn’t even breaking down in my mouth, it was like bubblegum. The squid was also chewy. And we found few small chicken pieces in the veggie noodles.

Not sure why this place scores so low. Just ordered on Uber Eats - yes it did take almost an hour but the food was great. Had the Katsu Chicken Curry. So tasty but my only critique would be the lack of sauce for the portion of rice doesn’t quite equate but didn’t detract from how good it was. I would definitely recommend ⭐️

Had food poisoning in this restaurant for over a week, never again!!! As so many other reviews state, this food is NOT FIT for human consumption. Trading Standards should intervene!!

Worst Chinese ever. The spring rolls were burnt and didn't taste good at all, I ordered fried vegetables and got steamed ones instead so please tell me if I'm wrong here ? Never had a tasteless or flavourless chinese so I'm quite shocked.

The so-called "Charsiu" was just unacceptable. It was definitely NOT the authentic Charsiu 叉燒 that you would expect in Chinese restaurants. It's totally different. In fact, it was so different that I think it should not be called "Charsiu" on the menu... This shop is also known as "Qwok Carshalton" in Deliveroo.

I love the food but nit happy with the portion..£9.50 for salt and pepper squid or chicken..But the portion is too small.It should be more in quantity..As I Paid £9.50 quantity should be definitely. More

Rice was plain no flavour and for sure no MSG. Squid was in breadcrumbs tasted tough and rubbery. Really need to reconsider what they're cooking as this is no authentic chinese cooking.

This time I ordered different dishes than my usual order & once more, fantastic! From the taste, right temperature, on time delivery to the friendliness of drivers & freshness of food, I just love this place!

Noodles didn't taste good, chips not all were fully cooked and the pork charsui was not to their normal good standard, just pork with a few pieces have a small drizzle of the sauce. Disappointing as they are usually good

I found pieces of egg shells in my rice and the rice tasted undercooked. Chicken balls were bland. Normally i enjoy my food from wokpapa

I’m confused as to why there are so many bad reviews of this place. I always make a repeat order of singerpore noodles, ribs and special fried rice… extremely tasty and less greasy than others I’ve tried locally! I think some people have a personal issue with the owner because the food is faultless and fresh and tasty!

Crispy beef was way too sweet and not to my taste. If you'd told me I was eating toffee popcorn I would have believed you. The prawns in the Special Fried Rice were large and fat but tasted a bit dodgy, and the rice itself lacked that lovely fried rice flavour. (The beef noodles were good.) Delivery was fast and the food arrived hot. Driver friendly and courteous. Good contact-free delivery technique.

Brilliant food however my delivery was late . I had to wait over an hour. Not pleased.

This places food is vile. Customer service is out the window. I have a full bag of Chinese I could not even touch that is how stale my meal was and they are refusing to even compensate me 50 percent of what I have spent. The pictures alone speak for themselves and you wouldn’t believe the rice was called a fried rice. My seaweed was even stale and chewy? I have never experienced food like this before and even after a long day in a buffet I have had better pork char Sui

Extremely disappointed. The chicken curry we ordered was overflowing with onions and only a few pieces of chicken. The portion sizes of everything we ordered were minimal.

Food quality and portion sizes have gone down now. The sad part is the food taste.

First place I have found that does steamed gyoza instead of the usual grilled or fried. Very nice!

I buy a lot of fast food, because I often do mystery shopping. My assignment is sometimes to assess the food I order. We have to be as objective as possible whilst working. I feel my objectivity may be of help to some. So my food, to me, tasted just below avearge. The thai green beef curry was watery and the beef in it was tasteless. The chicken curry was bland. I have an issue was the obvious stingy portions. I ordered and paid £8.90 for a large char sui pork and got like 13 small slices of pork in a normal sized container (which could have held 3 times as much with room to spare). I also ordered curry and they were in tuppaware dishes, nowhere near filled near the top neither. I know times are hard, but you can't be stingy and expect regular customers. Bland, stingy average dishes and poor value for money. That's my honest opinion. I usually have a rule about takeaways in Sutton Borough, and in quiet towns like Carshalton. I long realised through experience, they don't usually have the competition the inner city restaurants have, so their prices are usually higher and food is not as good. So, mistake made, will choose better next time from a more competitive area. Edit: in response to the owner's reply, I order from Local takeaways because we expect the prices to be lower and food portions fair. That has been my experience in general in more populated areas. Obviously I would expect the cost of ordering from a Wagamama to be dearer because it is a high street restaurant, whereas you aren't (as far as I'm aware). Also I will stress, the pork char sui I received from you last night, would have fit into an empty mini -cheddar crisp packet. That's how small the "LARGE Portion" i ordered was! Definitely not worth £9! I wish I had taken a photo of it, but I was hungry and it took me 1 min to finish it. Also if the large portion consisted of 12-13, thin, crisp-sized slices of pork, how many would i have received for a SMALL sized portion?! 😳😳😳 I mean no offence. I'm being honest. If I did I would give you 1 star in all departments! However, I understand. You are trying to run a local business. Good luck with it 👍

The food was ok. However the portions are just silly. They might give you half filled containers of meat dishes. My container of Char sui pork was less than half filled. I paid £9 and got scraps. Not value for money in my opinion

I have found the chicken inside the ball too bland; it needed a bit of seasoning before cooking, and the sauce too liquid. At first I wanted the salt and pepper chicken wings as they are great but you did not have it on the menu this time.

Just ordered from Deliveroo, the fried rice was completely bland, and for 8 spring rolls only one little topping sweet chilly sauce 🤷

First time using this evening brilliant no complaints at all.

Crispy beef was over cooked and burnt. It was rock hard so was unable to eat it. The bit I tried just tasted burnt. Not nice at all. So pretty disappointed. Rice was nice and the free spring rolls.

Lovely food however missing the chips that were paid for and on the receipt! Also did not read the notes section which asked for the sauce to be separate in the satay chicken and a plain chow mein. Please read the order more accurately in future.

My hubby and l really enjoyed this meal l ordered. We got 2 days dinner out of because there was so much of it. It was very tasty and everything was delicious and filling and yes l would order from again.

Bad! Ordered chicken fried rice, but I got fried rice with chicken, pork and shrimp. I don’t eat pork for several reasons. This restaurant ruins this for me!!!

My daughter said the food was lovely, I ordered not expecting much, few Chinese restaurants local are that good, it was lovely, not greasy, salt and pepper ribs were lovely, noodles and chicken balls so good, I will be back.

Delivery driver was 10 minutes late past latest delivery time, and was sitting in one location for 15 minutes of his journey.

Really like Wokpapa. Wish they had more of a selection of dishes & explanation of what ingredients are in certain dishes. For example, what is Special Noodles? What’s in it, how is made? Dishes need ingredients to be known. What I order is only what I know I’m getting (appetizers, etc.)

The chicken was overcooked in the sweet and sour so wouldn't get that again. The prawn toast was too oily but The noodles were lovely and the chicken in black bean sauce was nice. Not the best Chinese we've had but have had much worse.
