Coffee was alright but lack of charging plugs

Very well situated place, as its opposite the coach station. It has a lot of seating and many window seats with very comfy chairs. Would recommend a visit if you would like to pass time.

Friendly staff and very spacious with plenty of seats. Coffee and pastries great as in all branches.

My favourite Nero branch in Nottingham. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and close to the train station.

Good range of coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Some very enticing Italian baked goods too! I had a blueberry mousse cake this time- light and fluffy!

Served by a young girl at around 10:00. Odd experience, she barely spoke through the interaction. When I was next she just looked at me as if to say “you coming over or what” very unfriendly, I said what I wanted and she just started making it without a word. Then I got my meerkat app out and she just put £4.50 on it, I said I had meerkat and she just looked at me, then put discount on gave me drink. She did say bye, but off encounter. Not sure if new but deffo needs training on politeness and customer service

Coffee overpriced but ok. Track cake and poor quality. It was a purely thawed semi-finished product. Find better, more local businesses with better quality ingredients!

I loved the ambience, which was awesome, and was able to get my work done.

When it comes to chain cafes, Caffè Nero is in first place for me. Secondly, I was there today to buy my favorite iced latte, unfortunately after going outside I dropped it :/ My latte landed on the sidewalk. I went back to buy another one. The barista asked if I had already drank so quickly? No, I dropped it accidentally. I got it completely for free 🥹 Thank you.

It's a coffee shop. Not as much of an refugee hang out as the Milton Street branch. Pleasant.

A lovely place to sit and watch the world pass by. Pleasant staff. Only one cubicled toilet for the whole coffee house. A big drawback. Which makes this the worst coffee shop I've ever visited. Handy for the bus and train station.

Excellent atmosphere here, families, solitary laptop workers, couples, friends. No matter who you were or where you were going, everyone was welcome for a coffee.

Poor service Even at evening time when there wasn’t any rush. Average coffee. Floor is messy and garbage everywhere. Tables were not clean. I thinks that’s enough to say how I was feeling there.

We visited for the first time today and just felt very unwelcome. Waited a good 5 mins without being acknowledged at all, As a new customer you think are you in the wrong place? Do i need an app?Should I be at a table? Was very uncomfortable - it wasn't busy at all I don't expect wonders but when you're the only person in the queue you'd expect at least a "hello, be with you in minute" etc Rewind our day back to two hours earlier when we were in Popeyes for the first time being welcomed and talked through how to order etc. The drinks were very nice so that was a plus though. In no rush to return but I highly doubt anyone is bothered.

A nice clean coffee shop, that’s really close to the train station. Quite spacious inside, although it could do with a few more tables and chairs that sit 4 people. Staff are nice and friendly, and offer table service if you have food heated up. Not too expensive considering it’s location.

Not the best service received today unfortunately :( The server mistakenly served the person behind us instead of us and once we were finally served did not apologise for this error. The staff were talking amongst themselves and the seemingly “lead” member of staff was on his phone frequently, at times impacting the attention he could give to customers. Giving a 1 review as the drinks were alright.

I visited today 27/10/2023 just before 6:30pm, I went in to get a salad. First impressions, I thought the cafe might be closed as there were rubbish bags by the entrance, I did a quick google check which said they were open until 7pm. Anyway, I went in to buy the salad, and asked about the student discount-I’ve received several marketing emails from cafe nero about this and obviously as I’m a student, I’m entitled to it. I asked how to get it. The girl serving abruptly said its on the app. I asked which app and she said the nero app. It turned out I already had the app and a code for the student discount from last year but had forgotten about it*. I tried to use the qr code but it didn’t scan. The girl said I had to verify my email to renew my discount for 2023, so I very quickly verified my email on my student email. The verification email came through straight away so I pressed the confirmation link. Went to try the qr code again but it didn’t scan. A colleague of hers pointed out that the discount only applied to drinks which is fine but she could’ve mentioned? Anyway I thought fair enough, I’ll get a drink. I ordered and the girl was quick to point out that I wasn’t allowed to sit down and drink it in but had to have it as a takeout as they were about to close-why do you advertise that the building is open until 7pm? It probably wasn’t even 6:30pm by this point. Anyway the girl started making my drink. I tried to scan my qr code again to receive the discount on the drink but it didn’t work. I asked if I was doing it correctly, the girl just said quite robotically that the discount can take up to 24 hours to verify. I told her I had just verified my email and showed her the link. She repeated the same unhelpful ‘it can take up to 24 hours verify…’ and made zero attempt to find out what the issue might be. I went into the cafe nero app to show her that my student discount had been verified (I’ve included photos) and pointed out that the qr code didn’t work. She basically just said the same thing again about waiting 24 hours and to complain to the app help centre. So, no discount was applied……By this point I just gave up and said no to the drink, I tried to point out that the app wasn’t very good but she talked over me and said a very loud goodbye. Cancelling a drinks order is not something I’d normally do and I feel a bit petty doing this but she was just so rude and unhelpful. The whole ordeal was humiliating and I really felt as though the girl serving went out of her way to be rude. The salad was nice though. * I had issues with the qr code not scanning last year but the member of staff at another venue was very helpful and managed to get my discount applied successfully.

Spacious and student discount is very welcome

Despite a queue I was served really quickly. The two guys serving were really friendly and bounced off each other well. They were both really attentive and friendly. A really nice experience.

Cappucino more expensive that in the cafes around. I've ordered a small one (due to the cost) and was charged for the large one

Nice and relax place with good seats

Stopped off before catching my coach to London. The tray I was given wasn't clean, a simple wipe down with a cloth would suffice before giving it to customers. The staff seemed more interested in joking with each other than paying attention to customers given how many mistakes I heard while I sat with my coffee. Food was good for on-the-go and it kept me alive til my journey was over.

Great service, James was especially knowledgeable about the products.

This is probably still my favourite Caffe Nero in Nottingham, perhaps even my favourite coffee shop in the city of any chain. It has a great setting on a busy corner near the station (great for watching the world go by), and a nice open and airy feeling. All in all a great vibe. And good coffee too.

Sit outside on a sunny day under shadow. Pity they close at 7; it can go till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Nice staff

Comfy cafe near Nottingham Trent Station

Coffee is ok, cakes are quite nice but becoming quite expensive although Nero isn't alone on that one. This particular branch near to Nottingham station was a bit tired with uncollected crockery and some dirty tables. Wouldn't be my first choice if I hadn't been killing time waiting for a train.

Good food and coffee, prefer their coffee to any of the other big chains. Staff are always very friendly, again the best of the big 3. Only downside is lack of room as students spread out over 4 desks sharing a cold coffee between them bought 3 hours ago 🤪

When the staff eventually put their phones down long enough to serve me (I was the only one waiting) they didn't bother to stop chatting to each other, which is perhaps why I had to repeat my order twice and she still got it wrong. It must be soooo inconvenient to your social lives having customers!

Great Coffee and the delicious pastries. Use the app to earn free stuff quickly. Has a good size bright and welcoming internal space and views out over the newest part of the regenerated city, with a new multi-storey car park and the demolished Broadmarsh (work in progress but it already looks better…) 2 minutes to the bus station (in the car park) and the train station.

Assistant was extremely sorry that she couldn't unblock the toilet for me!

Right near the train station, and right across from the new bus station. They also have vegan hot food options (sausage cob), the best chain coffee in my opinion.

This is by far the best Cafe Nero i have ever been to. The coffee tastes delicious every time and the sizes of cup options is very good as i like a large cup of coffee. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The manager runs a really good shop and the staff all seem to enjoy working there which shows in their customer service. I cannot rate this cafe highly enough and the location is brilliant too.

Chanced upon this Caffe Nero as my twin brother Stephen and I were heading to the canal area of Nottingham and what a great find. A lovely looking Caffe Nero outlet, a light and airy interior, neat and tidy, cosy decor and furnishings, a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe plus a limited amount of tables outside as there's roadworks taking place along Carrington Street. We were here on a Wednesday morning, we ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we sat outside on a roasting hot morning, we planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. I am a big fan of the coffee served in Caffe Nero, its consistant in all their outlets and their flat white coffee is particularly tasty . We both enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to this particular Caffe Nero we had a very positive experience. This Caffe Nero is easy to locate along Carrington Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, 6.30am till 7pm. Saturday, 7am till 7pm. Sunday, 8am till 6pm. A wonderful Caffe Nero, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I’ve always preferred Nero, of all the popular UK chains; in my opinion, they offer the most delicious coffee and consistently good service. I’ve been a regular at this branch near Nottingham station, picking up a coffee on my way to work, for several months now. All of the baristas are very friendly and professional, and have all been able to memorise my order after taking it only a couple of times, which I find very impressive, and makes me feel valued as a customer. I know I can rely on a perfect coffee each time, which puts me in a good mood at the start of the day. Highly recommended.

So...Carrington Street if you walk from the city is en route to the station & vice versa. Apparently it's busy with takeaway customers at peak times in the week. But! Here's a tip...if you are in the Broadmarsh Centre shopping a bit later then it's generally reasonably quiet. If you can cross Collin Street & Canal Street it's only a five minute walk. We popped in today (Saturday) about 11.00 and we were the only folks in. The fare is standard Nero stuff, but we've always been served with a smile. At the moment (January 2018) you have the added bonus of watching the demolition of the eyesore that was the Broadmarsh car park.

Walking past and was caught in a thunderstorm so sought refuge in Nero. Bought an earl grey tea just to sip while I waited for the storm to pass. The tea was undrinkable, it tasted foul and stale and I couldn't manage more than a mouthful. Add that to the price; £3.70 for 2, and I think I would've preferred standing in the rain.

There's not much to say about Caffe Nero, they're all pretty much the same. The staff are ok, but it really is just another Nero. It's rather small, so don't expect to be able to sit, it also gets choc-a-bloc in the morning with people (like me) grabbing a coffee on the way to work.

A fantastic location surrounded by very stiff competition from Starbucks, Costa x 2, 200 degree café, upper crust and pumpkin café x 2 yet it was superb. Only a minute walk away from the Central Interchange (Train station and Tram station), only a minute walk from Broadmarsh Bus & Coach Station as well as the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, Capital One offices, BBC and Nottingham Council offices. A really very good location... the service was fast and very professional. Loved it more than any other especially the continuous fast paced environment outside whilst I sat and chilled... great
