The Caffe Nero inside House of Fraser has closed. There are still three Caffe Nero in Reading. The nearest is at Oracle Riverside - very close to the closed store. The others are on Broad Street (Oxford Road end) and at Apex Plaza (near the station). I can recommend them all.

me and my husband were served by an excellent barista today (twice). she made very tasty mochas. we also noticed she was on her own throughout the day and yet she was on top of the store, tables and served professionally. thanks so much

Great local chippy. Always friendly and happy. Orders are dealt with quickly and the chips are always hot. Pies, burgers and sausages available along with fish of course.

439 Basingstoke Rd, Reading, RG2 0JF, United KingdomI asked bossman how long for fried chicken (as the hot holding area only had wings), he said 2 mins coming fresh So I placed my order, he then walked over to the fridge and got 2 piece of pre cooked chicken pieces and put them in the chip fryer. I was shocked and asked what’s he doing? He said it’s the chicken they cooked earlier and they always refry and give them to the customer. I cancelled my order and walked out in disgust

1-5 King StreetNice atmosphere. Food was slightly better than average I’d say but you would expect so for the price. Staff were nice but overrun. Employ more. Took 40 mins to get some water and over an hour to get food. Don’t go there hungry is my advice. They stick on 12% service charge which I’m happy to pay assuming it goes to the overrun team on the ground. Others may not be so willing to pay that if the wait is as long as it was for me.

Drinks very expensive too... there are other options around with a better value for money
