I have never been to such a disgusting cafe. Please find my honest opinion of this cafe. It wasn't that clean and there were plenty of tables that had not been cleared but plenty of staff on and no queue. I ordered the 'special' but they had run out of ingredients at 1pm on a Saturday despite not being particularly busy so ordered steak wrap with chips. The chips looked and tasted like oven chips that had been kept barely warm the 'steak' was inedible the very thin poor quality meat that you get similar in trays in cheap frozen food shops that you go to if you want a quantity at an ultra cheap price instead of quality. To be honest I left without eating the food dispute being hungry, the food was so awful and for me it was a total waste of money. Not much wait though on food but that's because nothing appeared to be cooked fresh. Also, due to not liking my poor review on another site they started sending rude and unprofessional messages to me and it felt I was being bullied and not entitled to make an honest opinion. However, if you see Trip advisor there's quite a lot of bad reviews stating poor service, food and rude staff. They deleted my review on Facebook which probably explains why Facebook has no negative reviews on this place as they seem to delete whatever they don't like. There's a lot of nice independent cafes with actual good customer service just not this one in my opinion.

This is only my second visit to this cafe and I can’t speak highly enough about the staff, service and food. The first time was a quick brew so I could breastfeed my young baby and found no issues in doing this here.My second visit was on a wet Monday August day, again with my baby and my elderly parents. This time I ate and had the omelette the lady overheard me saying my little one could try some and brought him a plate without being asked!!Again I breastfeed him with no issues. On both occasions I have felt welcomed as has my son . Thank you see you soon no doubt!!

Caffe Dolce has left the best impressions! especially the owner who we found out was originally from just down the road from us Tyldesley. If your reading this YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. Their deserts are to die for. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave my 2 children an amazing experience with their free ice lolly's. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and made recommendations for evening meals in Southport like the social tapas. Caffe Dolce is a great place for eat, due to being family friendly and you can tell making their customers happy is their main priority. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bit of the meal in Caffe Dolce, I had their daily special which was a spicy chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, Considering their reasonable prices the quality was exception and highly recommended. My 2 kids can't keep their mouths shut and told the owner it was my birthday and she offered us any deserts on the house as well as knocking 20% off our bill. What a lovey person and can see why people in there keep returning over and over again. We are so fortunate to have this little place in the middle of all the bigger chained food places to eat. Food is stunning and have a lovely selection of cakes. Love this place and will definitely becoming back whenever in Southport. Thank you!

The staff were really friendly. I had a latte Andmy partner had a chocolate milk shake. We followed that up.with lemon drizzle cake and a slice of chocolate cake. These are made by the owner and absolutely heavenly. I cant rate the cakes highly enough. Definitely an amazing find and i would recommend anyone wanting nice simple food done well to visit here. Our favourite breakfast haunt was closed as it was a Monday, so we took a chance and dined here. Outside was nice and clean, service was good and friendly. However, the full english was slightly disappointing. The bacon was over cooked(some like it like that) and my tomato was a slice, and a thin one at that. In truth it was just about ok.

Spent a nice hour sat outside with a coffee and sandwich watching the world go by, both were very good and reasonably priced. We were previously sat outside Wetherspoons but were ejected for having a dog with us. I’m now really pleased about this, as we would never have found Caffe Dolce, who were very friendly and brought our pooch a bowl of water. In hind sight I don’t know why I chose a big soulless chain pub over a small independent cafe. Very nice would not hesitate to return.

We just had drinks outside on a nice Sunny afternoon. The service was good and the staff helpful. One table had afternoon tea, which seemed a snip at £9.95 for 2. The Caffe supplied a box for them to take the uneaten cakes home. We also saw a couple eating Apple Pie and Ice cream which also seemed very yummy. Definitely a place we must visit again and then indulge ourselves.

Had breakfast here on monday only because the New Thistel was shut. Ordered two full breakfast one without beans and asked if they had chopped tomatoes in there place, was told yes they did, disapointed when food arrived, very sparce breakfast for £6.25 and no chopped tomatoes just two extra bits of grilled tomatoes, (hate these anyhow, cant see the point) asked different waitress if they had some chopped tomatoes to be told they dont do them...the sausages where cheap bangers, prob £1 for a bag of 20, the bacon although good was two very small slices, one hash brown and two over cooked fried eggs. The saff however are hard working and lovely but you really need to sort out the quality of you cooked breakfast, even with the 50% off not value for money, very disapointed

Love the place. Love the staff BUT the way they act fast and loose with their opening times is disappointing. It's anyone's guess what time they actual open. For example, today they opened at 10am but the other day it was 9.30am AND their website says 9am. As I said, disappointing, and disrespectful to their customers.

Long and narrow with the counter at the rear - after walking all the way through they then ask for your table number - having not actually sat down yet this was a bit difficult! Then they got the order wrong -had to go back to the counter again to get it right and then a couple with a dog came and sat at the next table - the dog was on an extendable lead and was allowed all over the place - it’s obviously dog friendly which is fine if that’s what you want but not everyone is happy to have dogs where they are eating - so - generally - not impressed and wouldn’t go back.

We went in to this café for a light lunch. The young man serving was most helpful explaining the different fillings we could have in our paninis. I ordered a cheese and onion panini with a latte - lunchtime deal of £6.50. The coffee was brought to the table first and was hot and strong. Once the panini had been made it was then brought to our table. Mine was generously filled with both cheese and onion and was accompanied by a side of salad. Very tasty and good value for money. The staff were all very efficient and polite. I would return again.

We were visiting Southport over bank holiday weekend and this seemed like a nice place to sit outside with a quick coffee. There was no warm welcome - no smile, no hello. It felt like us just being in the place was a terrible inconvenience. Then to top it off, one of the staff (or owner/manager - not sure) tutted at us. They made the whole experience uncomfortable and unpleasant - not the relaxing coffee in the sunshine it could have been. Drinks were ok, adequate but nothing spectacular so there really is not a lot to visit this place for!

We chose this cafe becaue similar establishments were all full, and this was nearly empty. Now I know why. We ordered teas and breakfast for four people. the prices were average or just above. The service was very slow and cursory. I ordered a bacon sandwich, which they make with toast. The toast was dry and burnt. There was hardly any spread (i dont think it was butter) on it. The bacon was grey, tough and tasteless. It seemed as if they prepare it in advance and microwave portions when required. Al I could taste was burnt toast. The rest of the family had similar complaints.

Was run by young girls and service was poor - had to wait a while to get our food and wouldn't say the cafe was very busy. When food eventually did arrive it was awful ...prawns were not good, no butter on my bread and salad was brown and the food was on the expensive side. I complained about the food and they just said sorry and gave me my money back. As I was leaving the cafe a family was about to go in and I told them not to bother .... I would not return or recommend. Don't know where the Manager/Owner was on this day but they need to sort these problems out!

This used to be a good bar but is now just a high priced dog compound. 9 dogs in this very small bar. Wouldn't order food given the smell of dogs and lack of washing of hands by bar staff after feeding treats to the dog. Don't bother, there are better alternatives in Formby.

I briefly popped into Waterfields today and I was very pleasantly surprised at the selection. The cakes and snacks were extensively stocked behind the counter and were very reasonably priced at under £2 each. I bought a cupcake with vanilla cream on top which was delicious! The staff serving were friendly, polite and efficient. You can also sit in to eat, if you wish. The only issue was that the loaves of bread/toasties were running out, then again it was 3pm so this was understandable. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit!
