Called in today for lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly, offering advice on the dishes available and serving with a smile; a great start. The menu is typical cafe fayre, hot and cold sandwiches, soup, salads and hot meals, and when delivered the portions were large and the quality extremely good. There was also a selection of delicious looking cakes and scones which, if it wasn’t for Slimming World, I would have loved to have tried....definitely next time! Great food, excellent service and very clean, would recommend.

My second visit for lunch now I've found it! Hidden away on the third floor of House of Fraser. Lovely food and excellent service, serving hot breakfasts and lovely hot lunch options, sandwiches and a children's pick n mix menu. There is a children's corner. Lots of space for prams/wheelchairs etc. Very pleasant respite from shopping.

Lovely children's play area and friendly staff happy to earn up baby food; plenty of room for myself, my friend and my little one in a buggy at 1.30 on a Friday afternoon - but £6 for a tuna melt with a tablespoon of "dressed leaves" ie bagged salad with some balsamic drizzle.... A nice place to stop but bring your Gold Amex as you'll need it..... Poor value for a pitstop

Slightly disappointed with our fish and chip lunch today. Although the menu stated that there would be tartar sauce with the dish, this was not forthcoming. The chips were acceptable but the battered haddock was dried out, with the batter so crispy that it shattered when cutting it. Not very good value for money.

A good place to rest after a lot of walking and or shopping. One tea pot and cake will revive you ....the rest of sandwich and menu seems.. ordinary. Good and quick service

Lovely staff, so helpful if you have a little person with you. Quite good menu but they do run out of things quickly. Good pick and mix kids meal. Good family area and baby change.

Great service, lots of space for prams, baby changing and child's play area. Not amazing choice but excellent value especially the coffee refills for 99p. The staff are lovely and helpful.

I wrote a generally favourable review some months ago, and am sad to have to revise it. Two breakfasts turned out to be very poor, with hard fried eggs and brittle bacon - on one occasion the coffee was cold. A pity that this facility seems no longer available to me.

Good food and pleasant service at reasonable prices make this a really good place to take a break, and the weight off your feet.

We were so looking forward to our romantic valentine's evening. Sadly the previous reviewer has said most of it for us. Extortionately expensive, to be honest, for actually a less than mediocre meal which was not particularly enjoyable. It was obvious, from the occasional groans, the that something was very very wrong in the kitchen, even though front of house staff attemped to cover the cracks with gracious service. Also, yes it was far too cold. Have had lunch several times in this beautiful building, which have been very pleasant, although they really do need to sort out the heating problem.

Don’t ever get the burger box with Donna meat And cheesy chips 😫😫🙄 took 1 and half hours to come and was cold no salad on my burger as was asked it was well gruesome I ate it though because I was hungry😩 Total garbage 🤢 Usually have the 12.50 curry box onion Bajis rice and chippie chips I’ll stick to the curry box next time 👍 +

After a bracing walk around part of Digley Dam this was an ideal stop off to satisfy healthy appetites. It wasn't particularly busy so my friend and I were fortunate to select a table by the window to sample views of the surrounding countryside that the area is famous for. We both chose the regular Fish & Chips, good value at £12 though smaller portions are available at £9.50. My friend's Side Salad cost £4 which I thought expensive for what he received while a side order of Mushy Peas set him back £2. I thought the drinks were expensively priced, £2.90.for a pint of Fanta Orange but we'd visited for the Fish & Chips and these were delicious so it was definitely worth the effort. The menu is quite extensive so there are plenty of alternatives to satisfy most appetites and palates. A good experience.

Not too bad, food was ok and the place was clean, although service could be better. Maybe a little refresher on customer service?
