I don’t know if it’s home baking, but sure tastes like it! I popped in here after using library . Had coffee and cake . Everything just smashing ; the cake , the coffee , the staff , the ambience , and sooo convenient for the wonderful library that has parking and also great staff and everything you could want in a library .

Had a coffee and cake stop here and are pleased that we did. This cafe is within the library and museum building near the railway station. There is a pretty good menu, but we just had a cake with our drinks. Reasonable prices and a nice place for a cuppa.

What on earth has happened to the cafe? To arrive at 12.45 p.m. and find only some scones (very dry - I have tried them before), one single delicious-looking pastry from a Fife bakery, and some vegan/gluten-free offerings (dry and tasteless - I have tried them also before). The sandwiches are not of good quality - soggy bread and tasteless fillings. No complaints about the coffee. The staff are friendly and efficient. Perhaps the cafe is concentrating on the lunch menu, as it seems to close very early in the afternoon (often around 2.30 p.m.) - just the very time when people are coming in looking for coffee and cake. The cafe was nicely refurbished last year, and it is a pity that the refreshments offering is such a disappointment.

This cafe is situated in Kirkaldy Art Gallery. The gallery is well worth visiting with a wonderful selection of Scottish Colourists. Unfortunately the cafe isn't quite up to the standard you would expect. The staff are extremely friendly but the sandwiches were of poor quality and the service very slow. We ordered a cheese and ham panini and it took 20 minutes for them to toast it. I think they are over complicating things as the panini turned up with salad, crisps and chutney. I would have much preferred a higher quality panini without the extras. If you just want a tea or coffee then this cafe is fine

What a superb café this is light and airy ,clean and modern . We dropped in for a scone and coffee and were very taken with the quality . A nice selection on the small menu and very friendly and helpful staff . No wonder it is a busy place ideal for meeting up for a blether .

After a walk around the museum and galleries I decided to have a snack here, as it was convenient being situated within the same building. Not a huge selection to choose from but they had the likes of sandwiches, soup, baked potatoes, toasties and a selection of traybakes. I opted for egg mayonnaise sandwiches which came with a little salad and coleslaw, and a latte. Service was friendly enough. The café seating area is of a fair size, and there are 'Wemyss Pottery' exhibits along one wall, in display cases, with some information at the sides about each piece. Enjoyable snack, but I felt in general, all things considered, that the prices err on the high side, and for this reason I wouldn't be in a hurry to rush back.

It was a bit pricy for an average bowl of soup and a very small roll at £3.50. The very large pan on the cooker must have cost maximum £7 to make and had at least 40 portions - you do the maths!! However the Mac Cheese and salad priced at £4 was ver acceptable and generously portioned. The sandwiches are not made on site, and also overpriced at over £3 in a cardboard container and not a crisp side in sight. The beverages looked good and reasonable so next time it will just be for coffee. The surroundings were lovely - all surrounded by Wemyss Pottery exhibits and the staff were nice although the service was slow.

Always enjoy coming here as I know the library and museum very well so it sits in nicely within the building and is a great central location for meeting friends. I usually have a toastie (cheese and pickle) very nice and served with a generous helping of salad and crisps. I enjoy the lattes too which are a great accompaniment to settling down with a good book. The ladies in the cafe are always very helpful and friendly.......can have a good laugh with them and they're very kind. One time I visited the cafe I was suffering at having a tooth out and they sat me down, brought my order over looking after me which I felt quite touched at. I enjoy coming here regularly and there is always great service as well as a delicious toastie and latte

Visited with my family last night and had a beautiful meal. As always the food was gorgeous and service was fabulous. Suzy that served us was very nice and helpful and such a gem with my children too. Nothing was a problem to her or the other staff. It was busy when we were in, good to see & we all had a lovely evening. We will be back soon! As always a great night out and fab food! Thank you!

We were here to do the archery and air rifles, and the the clay shooting. What a fun morning. We were put in a group of 6 the instructors were both excellent. The gentleman on the clays and the young man on the arrows and air rifles. We had a tea and a cake before driving home. Excellent morning.

Having always enjoyed meals at The Doll’s House we imagined this was a mere name change, and were drawn in by the offer of a reasonably priced set menu all day Wednesday and Thursday. Inside the decor was smart enough and the waitress pleasant. However they were unaware of the set menu offer clearly advertised outside, and then said they’d still put our meal through at that price so long as we didn’t order anything expensive ! This wasn’t easy as five dishes were already sold out by 7.30, leaving little choice. The soups were ok, as was my deer, but my wife’s ratatouille was the most ridiculous item I’ve ever seen offered as main dish- three slices of undercooked courgette, a few tomatoes swimming in a watery sauce. We skipped desserts and were presented with a bill of £72, the manager having forgotten her promise. On appeal she applied a discount, but £58 was still very expensive for an experience that could charitably be described as poor. I’d steer well clear - there is no shortage of places to eat in St Andrews.

Great spot to grab a coffee and breakfast. They have good food options and is a quaint and cozy place. I really enjoy their smashed avocado toast.
