This cafe was delightful today. Just popped-in for a light lunch of salad and filo-pastry vegetable tart. Good, empathetic service. Peaceful, with good background music.....

Really nice little cafe with some cute home bits. Good coffee and… soy milk!! One of the very few places in the city that does. Haven’t tried the food but looks good. Service was good too!

This used to be so lovely. My daughter loved the Mackerel pate but the portions so small now, they seem to give you more bread to make up for the small spoonful of pate, put the price up rather than rip people off! My mother had a toasted panini it’s the worst we’ve ever tasted, cardboard with a filling, dry and horrid, the staff didn’t care! Coffee was good that’s all I could say. It just all seems so grubby in there now and the toilet wow wish I’d never entered as it’s absolutely disgusting and smelt horrid. If you can’t keep that clean how bad is your kitchen! Sorry won’t return again! ☹️ 🤢 too many other business to give my money too!

Went in at 16:50 only to be told they are closing. It says 17:30 on the door and online. Been times on the door since COVID was told ......... That was over two years ago. Got the impression they couldn't be arsed to serve us as we were the only ones just walked in. So much for supporting small businesses. Walked past at 1710 standing around chatting not cleaning down/ tidying up.

Really decent coffee and hot, not like the tepid stuff most cafés serve. Quite small and can be crowded but a nice outdoor space when the weather allows. Limited but quality menu; service is cheerful and prompt. Our favourite place if shopping in Norwich.

Love this place. Service is always superb, especially Brandon, Edi and Jasmine. We love the environment with all the funky things for sale. Only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because we can't tip when paying by card.

We called in for coffee after arriving in Norwich. A small cafe but the cappuccino was very good and the service was friendly and efficient.

This café is located in a pleasant historic building. There is a homeware store on the top floor and the café occupies the ground floor. We enjoyed sitting in the outside seating area. The coffee was good and two flat whites cost £6.20.

Disappointed for the second visit recently. Visited a few weeks ago and not impressed but gave it another visit a few days ago. A mug full of froth not coffee also the mug had two large chips out of the rim! Really? With so many coffee shops you need to get your act together.

Have been here several times for a drink and some cake.

Uncleared outside tables upon arrival. Floor inside had not been cleaned and street rubbish had been blown inside. Simply ordered a single “fresh” orange juice (£4.20) but that was hard work. Young staff didn’t welcome us into the premises. Long wait time to be served. Drink eventually arrived in dirty glass and was warm. No wonder the place was empty. Won’t be going back.

I feel like the lady with long hair doesn't seem like she wants to be there...Didn't say a word to us throughout and didn't even smile.

Can see a lot of reviews on here about semi-cold / not thoroughly heated food & drink. Although I don't usually write reviews unfortunately I feel the need to in this case, as I received quite severe food poisoning (later diagnosed as Campylobacter) from a suspected Panini. These were stored near the counter in a container that wasn't particularly chilled and once reheated was warm at best. I suspect it was the improper reheating that was the issue - not killing off any bacteria on the food item. I didn't think too much about it until around 4-5hrs after consumption, where I started getting major stomach cramps and fever like symptoms. This subsequently led to 5 days of severe food poisoning symptoms (pretty horrendous experience) that ultimately required medical assistance being sought. Of course I would caveat the above with the fact I cannot be 100% certain it was the Panini. This said; being the only thing I had eaten within a time frame / circumstances that makes sense, it's most likely originated from this source.

Very cute coffee shop in the city centre❤️

Currently in this "cafe". Sister asked for an iced-mocha which they said they were able to do. However it came out warm and extremely watery with no flavour whatsoever. Sister asked for a refund, the man behind the till was helpful and said it wasn't an issue at all. However the two young females (one of which made the drink) made it very obvious that they were gossiping about us as kept looking and giggling. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Perhaps they should be taught how to spend their energy on learning how to make beverages rather than pulling b*tchy faces.

Nice place centrally located. However, using plastic tea bags is crazy (environmental and health reasons)

No idea staff…warm coffee,ordered a ice coffee they served it warm.had to ask for ice..still revolting taste.overpriced and not worth the money.cappuccino was warm.they put the ice in cup and tipped half the coffee in the sink.ridiculous.staff to young and lack knowledge..it’s true what they say. Cheap labour costs more in the long run.that’s my last visit.

Warings looks fab from the outside and the inside doesnt disappoint. The mix of food and life wares works really well. The roasted veg with brie Gallette was lovely, served warm wirh a dressed Rocket salad. To follow we had lemon cake wbich was a little dry but tasty.

I very rarely write a bad review. This café has the potential to be great as the ambiance is wonderful however there are so many problems with the way it is run, the manager. I have been here 4 times so far. The music is so loud that you feel you are in hard rock cafè. It's Tina Turner very often. When I asked for the music to be turned down the answer was' this is for the shop, we can't do too much'. If you want to read, bring earplugs or go somewhere else. Apart from a cake they have NOTHING gluten free, so if you are gluten sensitive and want to eat go somewhere else. At 10. 30 they had nothing apart from cakes, and they wouldn't be prepared to make me anything. The answer is a ' no' always. When my latte has gone cold after 20 mins, just like in other places, I asked for it to be warmed up in the microwave. The answer was a 'No' again for reasons of H&S. OK, then I asked if they could do warm it with the coffee machine. Another ' no' of course. For a good coffee go to Alchemista, Strangers or maybe Cherry Leaf. Overall very nice ambience but poorly run.

Lovely food, and coffee, could be more choice of fillings, kept clean, my only problem is where I was able to sit was next to the toilet door! Which I found unhygienic with smell etc when eating.

An unexpected visit to Warings Lifestore for coffee after a terrible start to our weekend. It was our first trip to Norwich and we were glad we stumbled on the place. Huge cappuccinos, delicious flavour (although they would have been better in smaller cups). Pleasant staff and some lovely homeward items to browse too.

Really lovely stop here for coffee very relaxed environment which made for a perfect end to the day Staff were very friendly and there was a good range of cakes and treats Would recommend!

Pretty cottage set up as a cafe and shop. Nice menu, comfortable seating, along with an interesting selection of homeware/paint for sale. Just off St Stephen's Road in the street opposite M&S.

Was sitting outside when a neighboring table's parasol was lifted up by the wind and the huge pole almost hit my mum in the head. It could have caused a very serious injury. We found that the parasol wasn't screwed in or secured at all and when we told the staff how dangerous it was they seemed unconcerned and put it down to the owner's negligence when someone could've ended up in hospital. Please fix this issue, its so unsafe.

Such a beautiful building on the outside and on the inside it is filled to the brim with lots of lovelies. Found my coffee to be a very well made brew too I will be visiting again very soon

Lovely place and a good idea, selling stuff, the food wasn't up to much unfortunately. I had a goats cheese tart which took close to half an hour to arrive and it was lukewarm, I wouldn't have minded it cold (preferably hot) but lukewarm nah!. Mrs had lovely looking cake which was dry and boring.

I used to come to this place couple of times, The coffee and food are delicious. However, they don’t have a wifi (so, do not stay longer please). The young staff weren’t friendly. Definitely, there are many alternatives around.

When I came up to UEA in October 1968 (!), this delightful old building was William Deacons Bank. Then Williams & Glyn's, and finally Royal Bank of Scotland. But it makes an excellent little coffee house and home decor business. Beautifully fresh Croissants in late afternoon. The coffees, Cortado and Macchiato, were actually a little strong for our palates - a very rare occurrence. But good service and wonderful China Hayling Seagoon

Food was really bland and expensive. Still half cold too. Barely even any salt on anything. This is just a reminder to myself never to go back here. My memory for negative experiences can be pretty short.

I have just ordered an Americano with oat milk, I was very surprised to pay 55p for a tiny jug of milk, I can buy a whole carton for 3 times that amount that's scandalous. I won't be having a coffee there again.

A combination cafe and homewares store. Love the cafe which has both indoor and outdoor seating. Some good salads, quiches, soups and sandwiches plus sweet items. I would go there for the lime polenta cake alone. The homewares store is a bit limited I find. Some nice things but not a lot of variety. If you need farrow & Ball paint, this is your place.

Perfectly ok tea and coffee but somewhat spoilt by charging 55p for tiny amount of soy milk to go with my tea. That left a metaphorical nasty taste in the mouth.

Me & my husband started going to this place not long after it first opened. The coffee is lovely whichever type you have, however just recently the size of cup now being used for a flat white is barely a couple of mouthfuls but still costs £5.80 for 2. I understand that it's been hard for all business because of lockdown but this is not value for money, sadly we will be looking elsewhere for a decent size cup of coffee in the future.

Delicious and very generous cake slices! We had coffee and walnut & carrot cake but definitely could have done with just one slice. Waitresses were friendly, really spaced out tables which was lovely and quiet atmosphere. Really enjoyed!

We stopped off for coffee and cake at 10.30, a place we frequented regularly before lockdown. Whilst the coffee and cake was good, we found the staff to be less than engaging, actually looking quite bored. From where we were sitting the place seemed untidy and our table hadn't been cleaned before we sat down, cobwebs and dust over the shelves too. It seems to us the standards have been somewhat reduced since our last visit. ☹

The staff are so lovely. The food is delicious, the homemade lemonade is soo tasty and refreshing

Terrible visit - 20 minute wait for 2 smoothies, and no apology for the wait either. Staff didn't seem interested and were quite rude to 2 other diners regarding their cake and food offering. Also decided to pack everything up around us while we waited. Won't be coming back.

We always come here when we come up the city! Rags can sit outside under the awning whilst I order and then the ladies bring out our coffee,toast, cake (coffee & walnut today) and (today) a delicious goat's cheese tart and salad. They are very kind and bring water for Rags. He has a nibble of everything (except salad) and enjoys people watching. We sat under the awning in the pouring rain watching the city breathe. It was lovely. 5 stars every time

A nice place for a spot of lunch

Aunque tomamos una taza de té y café deliciosos aquí, nos decepcionó mucho que no hubiera instalaciones sanitarias abiertas para usar. Mi hija necesitaba cambiar al bebé, mientras que mi mamá de 92 años necesitaba ir al baño. Nos dijeron que debido a covid las instalaciones estaban cerradas. . . . . de hecho, inicialmente nos dijeron que no tenían instalaciones, sin embargo, mi hija, que había visitado anteriormente, sabía que esto no era cierto. Después de haber visitado varios establecimientos en Norwich esta semana, nunca hemos encontrado ningún otro café que haya cerrado sus instalaciones a sus clientes. . . . . muy decepcionante.

Me encantó este pequeño café que se encuentra dentro de Warings Lifestore. Lo descubrí en un viaje reciente a Norwich.El café en sí tiene una amplia gama de cafés, tés, pasteles y pasteles. El personal era muy educado, cálido y acogedor. Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado a almorzar también.Lo que realmente disfruté fue la excelente gama de artículos para el hogar inusuales que no solo se exhibían en el área del café, sino que también ocupaban todo el piso de la calle 1.Bien vale la pena una visita. Solo tenga en cuenta que son productos de calidad excepcional y, por lo tanto, no son baratos.Definitivamente me gustaría visitar Caf Warings nuevamente y lo recomendaría encarecidamente.

Tuve lo que solo puedo describir como uno de los encuentros más rudos con su personal. . Después de gastar más de 20 libras en su establecimiento, le pedí a su personal que simplemente llenara 2 botellas de agua, a las que luego recibí una cantidad injustificada e innecesaria de charla agresiva pasiva de ellos sobre la venta de agua. . . Creo que después de la cantidad que gasto y que cobras 1. 65 para una lata de coca cola era de esperar pedir esto y no recibir ninguno de los comentarios groseros y miradas sucias.La comida era deliciosa, solo creo que necesitan hablar con ellos y les recordé que están empleados para que las personas pasen un rato agradable y no comiencen a discutir.

In the city centre the small outside seating area belies the large interior. Very popular with shoppers it offers a range of coffees and cakes, snacks and light meals. The upper floor contains a furniture store.

Lovely little cafe with beautiful cakes and pastries and a very, very lovely latte! The place is beautiful with lots of little quality home buys! Go and enjoy a coffee and a sit here!
