Cafe Strand Falmouth in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

was in a rush to get to the post office to pick up parcels for my son, walked across the road for the best fried chicken I've had in a long time. Got some takeaway for my boy and told the chef I would be back!

Best burger in ages my son was there with friend's and I asked him to pick me up a burger to bring home was really good best I've had in Falmouth definitely recommend trying there food will definitely b back x

Lovely full english before I had to get back on the site, can't fault the food, great staff and very welcoming place overall.

Wow, myself and my family had a delicious meals in here today, and the service was excellent! And very well priced!

Our first time visiting the cafe. There were lots of options and they serve breakfast all day which is great. The food was brilliant, the cafe clean, and I got to try a Mexican breakfast dish you don't find in many places, it was absolutely delicious and you get a good size portion. We both enjoyed our visit and the man that served us was pleasant, polite and quick at serving. We will definitely be coming again, highly recommend people trying this cafe out!

We went on ramen night ( Saturday ) and the food was delicious. The broth was very tasty and there were both vegetarian and vegan options.

Cannot think of a friendlier more accommodating place to get quality food in Falmouth. Great atmosphere, very recommended.

Matti and his friendly team make a visit to the cafe an inviting, fun and totally delicious experience. We went in to the unassuming cafe expecting any old ramen and came out full of homemade noodles, umami-to-the-max broth, crunchy chicken wings and halloumi fries all washed down with a beer. We left smiling from ear to ear. Thanks for looking after us, you're just swell ☺️ xx

Popped in for cooked brekkie, changed our minds and had Ramen instead. Delicious (again!!) Best Ramen in Falmouth (probably the whole of Cornwall!!) by far! Great service, friendly staff, defo recommend 🙂 Their cooked breakfasts are super tasty too!!

Landed there at lunchtime with two people. Pure coincidence, but now also a stroke of luck. Breakfast is available all day. So we opted for a half Cornish breakfast and luckily we were out of pork for the ramen so we went with a beef alternative. Every bite tastes authentic and of really good quality. I found it very important and gratifying that the entire team showed genuine interest in our opinion and also asked for it. We were really touched by the team's joy at our positive feedback. There are deductions for the ambience, because the tables were cleared very late and wiped down even later.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday afternoon. The full Cornish breakfast with hog's pudding was absolutely superb. One of the best I have tried in the county or indeed anywhere without doubt. Coffee was also superb. Fully recommend all round.

It’s a Little gem here! Had a Cornish breakfast with hogs pudding, my Wife had the same and a coffee each. Was it nice? OH YES There’s quality food and then there’s this cafe. Good ingredients, very well cooked and staff very attentive and pleasant. Plenty of good wholesome food. Going to make a few more visits to this place I think.

A gem of Falmouth town, The Stand has become an almost weekly pit-stop for me, to hideaway and people watch comforted by a full Cornish or English with good local sausages and mushrooms cooked tastefully. The service is always warm and conscientious with a full provision of available condiments. A usually welcome playlist or radio runs with some pop classics or alternative hits, if I'm not listening to a podcast. A good place to meet a friend for a catch-up and they serve a respectable standard of coffee for an traditional English 'greasy spoon' style caf. It's also one of the only places I know locally where I can happily request fried bread in place of toast. Delicious. The location is ideal, central and offers a feeling of timelessness, as the world goes by around you, safe in a comfortable, unimposing setting where you guaranteed service with a smile and even the option of noodle Ramen among the other dishes on the menu. Grab a newspaper, crossword, a good friend or a good cuppa, pull up a chair and tuck in!

Cute little cafe in the centre of Falmouth, staff have always gone above and beyond ever since I moved here back in 2020 - I’ve been a returning customer ever since. Highly recommend the Full Cornish breakfast as it’s to die for! Staff are really friendly, it’s got a great vibe to the place and the food is affordable too! Highly recommended if you’re planning on visiting!

Lovely little place, a must have if you come to Falmouth. This is our 2nd visit and we still love it, sausages are amazing and I'm a very fussy about sausages. Great stuff, friendly and helpfull. Good value for money. Truely recommend

Visited twice in early July. Big slab of honey and mustard roast ham, eggs and chips. Lovely. Went again and had the ramen noodles. Delicious. Will definitely return if it's still there next time we go to Falmouth.

Best hangover food in Falmouth. Always a friendly face when you order and never a disappointing breakfast sandwich. Will have to make time soon to eat in as their full English looks amazing!

My son and I have just eaten the ramen here and we rate it as the best we have tasted outside of Korea. The broth was full off flavour, the egg was creamy, the gammon was salty and delicious, the handmade noodles were chewy. My son, who considers himself a ramen connoisseur rated it a 9.5which is surprising as he rarely rates food over 8!!!! Highly recommend.

The food was really really good and at a good price. We had the full Cornish, ramen, and the ham and eggs dish. The halloumi fries were absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and helped us with our allergies requirements.

Popped in today for something to eat , was amazed with the food . We ordered full English and full cornish breakfasts and we were blown away with the presentation and cleanliness of the cafe, and the friendly staff . We will be back ..

Tried the breakfast bap and can definitely recommend it in terms of taste. The bread is a brioche bun which adds a lot to the overall taste. The bacon was not to greasy and there was plenty of it, the sausage was tasty and not overly salty. Egg was well cooked and the avocado was fresh tasting. Will be back to try the ramen next time!

Lovely little café for breakfast and brunch! Service was very efficient and friendly and the portion sizes were very big. Good value and the Cornish sausage and bacon tasted so good, hash browns were perfectly crispy. Dropped one star just because the eggs were overcooked and not as runny as I'd like for a fried egg but other than that everything was great.

Went here for breakfast. Full English was excellent. Food quality very good and was enough to ensure I didn’t need lunch ! Service was friendly and quick. Prices very reasonable as well.

I came across this cafe/restaurant whilst visiting in Falmouth. It is opposite the pier so it is easy to find! The menu choices were great, difficult to decide as they all looked so good. I went with the double cheese burger with bacon and some dirty fries! They were amazing! Very filling and so much flavour. The burger was crispy but juicy and the fries were loaded with burger sauce, cheese and bacon. The 2 guys working were very friendly, all covid restrictions were fully in place and they definitely knew what they were doing! I would highly recommend! I am personally going back for their tacos and raman nights, weather it be a takeaway or eat in when we can! Great place!

Cafe strand is a lovely, small cafe in Falmouth just opposite the pier. I would say it is more of a restaurant than a cafe as the quality of food is just amazing. I had a delicious pulled pork burger here. The flavours were so fresh. A perfect about of pork, (can't stand ordering a burger and there not being much filling!) But cafe strand didn't let me down. The 2 gentleman who served me were actually the owners! Great to see their hard work going into the business. 👏 I will definitely go back here for sure! Keep up the hard work boys. You've got a great restaurant! 👍

The best hand home made noodles. Most ramen places skip on the noodles. This place does so many dishes at a good quality and still has the time to make their own noodles for their ramen. The only thing about it is it doesn't look like a traditional ramen when you get it, but by god, it tastes like my own home. Well done guys; I've had so many dishes from you, and you've perfected them all. The only criticism is your gyōzas aren't quite right, as it tastes like pastry rather than gyōza wraps, but that is the only picky thing. Well done guys, I will toot your horn all over Falmouth.

I go there about twice a week on average, good homely cooked food and lovely friendly staff, my to go place for breakfast any time of day.

I hadn't visited this cafe for a couple of years, WHAT A TURN AROUND! Previously it was managed unprofessionaly while serving low quality food which honestly had put me off returning. The current owners have literally flipped the place on its head! Nicely decorated and welcoming dining area, immaculately clean kitchen, very friendly and polite owners who really couldn't have done more to accommodate us! Very clear and concise methods to be "covid secure". The food was top quality, cooked to perfection and when I asked for extras mid-meal they were more than happy to return to the kitchen and cook up some fresh extras. Over all, if I could give more than 5 stars I would! Genuinely the best breakfast in Falmouth and I couldn't believe the value for money! The food, atmosphere and owners really are worth returning for!
