The best breakfast I've had in a long time. The added bonus was that I caught a glimpse of the red headed hottie walking upstairs with a plant in his hand! Does he work in your cafe, if not he really should, he'd bring the ladies in!

Savers has been taken over by new owners. They have added plastic tablecloths to the wooden tables. Really? Are we going back in time? It looks awful and is not good for the environment. I suggest they are removed and the tables (which were a bit worn) revarnished.

The Savera cafe is under new management so decided to give it a try, staff were lovely and Kate and Ben, the new owners were very welcoming. We had a hot drink, cheese toastie and a portion of chips, food was lovely and the portions were a good size! Would definitely recommend and will be going back to try their poached eggs!

The cafe has recently been taken over by new managers and we have already eaten here a few times. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is great - generous portions at very reasonable prices. There are several lunch time deals available, as well as kids' meals for just £1 after school hours on certain days. Would highly recommend!

The food here is amazing, The speed of service is extremely efficient. Cleanliness is next to.... That’s the happy. Unfortunately, the current people (from front of house to back of house) who run this cafe are all leaving due to a decision made by the owner, who lives hundreds of miles away, and doesn’t seem to care for the hard working individuals there. Or the local community’s cry to keep the cafe as it is. That’s the sad. But the cafe is still open for the next couple of days and myself and my family will be taking full advantage of the wonderful food and warm welcome we receive there.

I've visited this cafe a few times recently as it is local and I must say we always have great service and excellent food, everything is clean and tidy and the food is very filling, I've had various takeaway items too - Chicken Tikka rolls a favourite in the family and I will continue to use the cafe and recommend it, worth a stop in the village if passing through. It's open in the morning till mid afternoon and I'm glad we have it here.

Been here before but after what I just witnessed I will never go there again!! After my daughter being told she couldn't swap her beans egg AND mushrooms for an extra slice of bacon ( would have to pay extra) and my neice being told she couldnt swap her mushrooms for a slice of black pudding (she would have to pay extra) but also some elderly gentleman was ganged up on and totally intimated by THREE of the staff (in a full cafe) all because they said he asked for beans and not Tomatos and if he wanted to change it he would have to pay for an EXTRA breakfast, the elderly man got very embarrassed and went red in the face whilst he quietly explained that he doesn't like beans so he wouldn't have asked for them, they continued to RANT at him saying he asked for beans. I was absolutely disgusted that this elderly man then asked for his money back witch they RELUCTANTLY give and continued to slag him off to other customers when he had left..All this over changing beans to Tomatos. ..I have never ever seen such bad customer service in my life...whatever happened to the customer being right??? They come across as lovely girls as long as you don't ask them for extra or get it wrong THEN you see a completely different side. You should be ashamed of yourselfs!!!!

DISGUSTING.no matter how nice the food or how quiet the atmosphere in all my life I have never experienced such horrendous customer service. They say first impressions are important...well this was definitely a shock! I witness three staff members attack this elderly customer after he politely asked that he didn't want beans on his breakfast. They outright in front of all of thier customers argued that he lied and he should pay for another meal. (Baring in mind he hadn't touched his breakfast) he replied a little embarrassed (considering the entire cafe was watching) that he doesn't like beans so why would he ask for them? and asked to have his money back, as he was sat down three members of staff where stood above him arguing at this one elderly man. The older staff member replied indignantly " oh, well I don't know about that!" reluctant to give his money back! My mother, sister, cousin and I could not believe what we witness. I have worked as a chef and know how important customer service is, and nothing should be too much trouble, but I think it's just plain common sense to show your elders courtesy. I won't be comming back there again or recommending savera cafe to any of my friends or family...and God forbid my nan or grandfather.

I have passed this Cafe many times but first time I popped in to have a well earned pit stop. The place is immaculately clean and the food looked lovely. We had a tea and coffee in mugs with a homemade scone and big blueberry muffin. The no frills cuppas were lovely and the cakes scrummy. The staff were friendly and attentive and the price was excellent value. It has a great range of meals, snacks, salads, sandwiches and the usual hot burgers, Jacket potatoes, pies etc. Ideal for a quick drink and refuel. We enjoyed the staff and their gentle banter with the regular customers.

I went in with my friend having previously visited over the past 18 months and always found good service. As no one had acknowledged that we had arrived in a non busy cafe, after five minutes I went to stand at the counter. The woman with the long dark hair then said in a panicky voice and a glower that ' I can't serve you I am doing five salads , it's got really busy' and that was the service. If she had said 'would you like a coffee while you are waiting , it might be abour 10 minutes, is that ok?' then we could have stayed. So effectively we could not be served because two of the tables in the cafe were occupied? Does that constitute rush hour in your cafe. Won't be returning for such poor and embarrassing service.

Another great breakfast - also tried ham and mushroom omelette with chips and side salad, cost about £4 and was immense!! Really busy in there, but still had fast service and piping hot food. My only gripe would be to please make the teas a bit stronger ;-) This café is a little gem, we love it!

Basic even though the menu is very large. The steak was well done although i ordered it when asked at the bar as medium rare, the chips were a very small portion. Quite expensive for 3 starters, 3 mains & 3 desserts with 6 soft drinks coming in at over £85. Odd parking which you have to pay for then get refunded one you've bought a drink or meal in the pub, plenty of parking though is available. Roomy inside & comfortable, clean toilets.

Superb Sunday lunch excellent service as they were catering for 240 people for Sunday Lunch. Ample proportions , prices reasonable. Only one small thing the plates were too small for quantity of food, but the manager told me they have ordered bigger plates

Called in here on the off chance and we was greeted by the 2 lovley owners Tony and Lowrie, and really pleasant bar staff. Really welcoming and nothing you ask is too much. A lovley old pub with a warm homely feel. My children were made to feel really welcome and the pub is also dog friendly. The pub has a lovley size beer garden outfront and a park the kids could play in. And because it was evening time the garden was lit up with all the lovley lights. The food was amazing and a nice varied menu to choose from. Prices were fair aswell tbh. They have a large screen and a few tvs dotted around which they show sky sports from and they said they do different things for the children at different times like halloween time etc. All in all a lovley few hours out. Will defo be going back. Thank you Lowrie, Tony and team.

This was not our first visit, unfortunatly we were not impressed this time,I could not fault food at all. We ordered the beef and requested horseradish sauce, they had run out!! we then ordered coffee which was only instant coffee, the coffee machine was out of order,we were,nt informed of this until it arrived, and was presented with 1/4 of a tea spoon of suger, and was told thats all they had, after complaining that we could not drink it like that some was found. We found the pub very cold to the point of being uncomfortable. Very disappointing.
