Staff have become incredibly rude as of late. Can cope with a price increase but when the standered of service Is so poor it's not worth it. Definitely avoid at all Costs

I live atleast 3 minutes away 1 hour 30 delivery over priced and a heap of shite 😡

Food is really nice but couldn't eat it because my added instructions wasnt listened to again. So a whole fish and chips binned and wasted. It's not the first its happened added instructions not being listened to. And for this reason I will not be going back... 2nd time i ordered, still didn't listened to instructions, hardly no salt and vinegar.. Plus ive had warmer salads..

Food was half M hour late. Arrived in a bag that was soaking wet. Chips were cold, batter was chewy in some parts and rock hard in others and the top of the bread role was stale. Won’t use again.

Been a couple of times now. The chips are lovely, but twice had fish and it's either been overcooked or cooked a few times as the batter was teeth braking hard. Portion size was great and the cod bites my partner had were perfect. It's always busy which is a good sign but I phoned my order through, was told it would be 20 minutes and was over half hour. Last time my partner had Sausage in batter and that was also overcooked.

Huge portions and absolutely gorgeous chips! I travel over 10 miles for these !

Don't go here very often and every time I have one I think I need to get regular chips next time as large is enormous! But always forget lol. Food is usually really good, today was cold as kept out the top waiting for chips to cook but still good food. Still good prices compared to most chippy's these days too

I have yet to have a bad experience, food absolutely spot on! As for the customer service from the staff they are fabulous. It’s difficult for them when they are rushed off their feet and you get someone banging on about salt and vinegar.! Heather , your review ,, well ,,,recollection's may very??!! I was there and the customer he was absolutely dreadful speaking and the staff gained support of the male customers while they waited to be served . Such a Karren !!

Extremely rude staff. Manager talked about a dissatisfied customer as staff wrapped products without asking did they require salt and vinegar. Could have said sorry and unwrapped food and added condiments. Instead challenged customer who should have requested salt and vinegar when paying for goods. No condiments on counter to help yourself. Poor customer service and not happy about dissatisfied customers being talked about to other customers. Disgraceful. Front of house staff poorly trained in asking customers if they want salt and vinegar before wrapping goods. Manager clearly has issues when dealing with complaints. I was not asked either and added condiments at home. Sausage was cold been hanging around too long, fish was freshly cooked chips cold. Be aware.

Ready on time that was given. Delicious food very generous portion of chips. And cod dips big full of fish and yummy.

I had a notification saying food is on the way but it didn’t arrive till 25 minutes later although I only live 3 6 minutes away, also some of my food was hard so couldn’t have been cooked properly

Wife got gravy and chips and a sausage in batter. Sausage was cold and had clearly been sat out for a few hours. Chips also not fresh. Shocking food. Should be embarrassed to serve food like that

Had cod and chips with large sausage in batter,sausage was well done with the batter(like rubber)to eat,chips was cook not that much and cod had no crispy batter or taste to tye fish

Food was lovely but was 20 mins late

we ordered at 6.54 food arrived at 9.16 they put the food as delivered nearly 1 HR before it was so that it didn't look bad on app. when I rang they said they marked all orders delivered by accident it should not take 2 hrs 20 min for that ridiculous if they where that busy they should have stopped taking orders. we where told it was going to be late at 8 pm and said it would be here by 8.30 9.16 takes the Mickey totally not acceptable.

Portion sizes are awful for a chippy. Chips are cheap! Yet they charge sky high prices for very small portions and anyone who’s ever eaten from here, be honest, they are the worst chips around. They need a new owner. New plan. If you want your customers to come back then don’t treat them like mugs. We will never come back.

Terrible batter on fish, greasy and thick with dried up cod inside. Won’t be ordering from here again!

Moody staff and very expensive 2 trays of chips curry and rice 15 pounds 80 same price as chicken curry and rice have been many times WILL NOT GO AGAIN!!!! Made telephone order person gave us chicken curry instead of curry. Perhaps for other customers sake you should tell them thats the only option with chicken disappointed 😞

what a treat!!! I ordered chicken curry, chips and rice... not only did it come quickly but it was huge and packaged great. The chicken was lovely also.

Best nourishment i have ever seen in my entire life. I've been to every fish & chips place in the uk and this is undoubtedly the best one for sure.

Absolutely disgusting bun was stale burger was burnt chips looked 3 days old sausage didn’t arrive but I would say that is a good thing I would never order from them again waste of £20 some advice if you’re going to charge top price make sure you’re food is at a standard of eating all my order in the bin

Nearly good. Just a few details would improve the meal a lot. For one I got a mountain of chips! No way could I eat even half the portion. Ridiculous. The large cod had a very thick batter around it (probably to make it look bigger). The batter wasn’t unpleasant tasting but too thick and heavy and it just makes you feel they’re trying to fool you into thinking it’s a bigger piece of fish. Not worth it for the £9.80 asking price. Chips slightly undercooked too. Nice Chinese curry sauce though.

Portions are not consistent. just had gravy and chips they were both separate in the bag but usually together. very small portion of chips and the sausage in batter was very tough considering they had just opened. will not be going back in a rush

Cold and soggy not worth the money

Gone down hill a lot. Always been a regular of ours but quality has slipped the last twice we've had it. Chips hard and undercooked, fish was waaaayy over cooked, the batter was around at least 1cm thick and full of grease. The fish inside was about 1cm thick (at the thick end) but was so over cooked it was yellow/brown in parts and hard. Majority of it went in the bin tonight, the only thing that was enjoyable was the pot of gravy.... but no good without nice food for it to go on.

Awful food. Ordered 3 1/4 burgers and all 3 were burnt and like rubber. 2 bags of chips and they were very dry and like cardboard. Portion of onion rings that were also dry and like rubber, no taste! It was all like yesterday’s food warmed up. Nothing was edible. I phoned and spoke to someone called Kara and explained the awful food we had received and paid £33 for and she agreed it sounded like it had all been left out too long before delivery and probably left in the warners to stew!!! I was told I would be called back in one hour with a response/resolution. I was first told to bag it all back up and she would send another order asap (we had already waited 1 hour and I had a hungry family to feed so said no and had to quickly make something for them to eat - not the Saturday night takeaway we expected!) This is now the next morning and I have not had a phone call back. Very disappointed and will not be having food from here again. All the food went in the bin and £33 was wasted. Such a shame.

Gone down hill massively. Person who served me asked what I wanted while looking completely disinterested, didn’t listen and then asked me to repeat everything I said. I asked twice for salt and vinegar but never had it. The chicken curry and chips was tasteless, mushed up slodge with jelly like chicken and went straight in the bin. Won’t be back. This was around 17:30 on Friday 02/02

i ordered this for my mother in law the chip portions were really small. the curry was to thick not like i’ve had from there before and the pie i couldn’t even cut with a knife it was that hard. the fish wasn’t the best either. really greasy and all batter hardly any fish

Visited today, im not a massive fish and chippy goer and after tonight I don't think I'll bother again. The woman was really nice who served me but struggled to listen to my order. All my food was packed and not even an offering of salt and vinegar and as we wasn't going home to eat most of the food went in the bin. The chips were soggy no crunch nothing. The mince pie was bang average too. £23 for two small chips and one medium 2 curries 1 pie Chicken strips and 3 cans!! I don't mind paying good money for food but I was totally ripped off!! I would say avoid this place but try it if you like sticky soggy chips and like paying over the odds

Best fish and chips around! Staff are so lovely and assist in any way they can. We travel to get our food from here as they are better then our local fish and chip shops. It's definitely worth the journey.

Food arrived squashed into it's container. The pie was upside down and broken so the filling was mixed in with the gravy I had selected. I didn't realise the pie, chips and sauce meal I ordered would be served in a box. I thought the gravy would be in a separate 2carton -

Update 2023. For some reason they use mozzarella cheese on chips which is very stringy, instead of cheddar. Its not a Pizza. Just because other people may not complain, doesn’t mean it cant be improved….😒 Just received our first delivery after booking online. Very pleased, especially after a terrible experience with Cod Father Blackwood. Less than 30 mins from order to door and piping hot. Very nice fruit curry and Cod, with very generous portion of perfect cooked chips. Great, friendly service from the delivery driver. Definitely good value for money and will order again.

Arrived 30 mins before closing last night, waited no more than 10 mins and had 2 freshly cooked meals. Service was excellent and food was tasty. Thanks for the 5 star treatment folks - even though you were cleaning and preparing to close your customer service was exemplary!!

Food finally arrived but was barley warm after being extremely late, not happy customer as usually amazing but this time definitely NOT!

Unfortunately some of the food was very cold and had to be reheated and we were missing one curry sauce. Ordered 2 but only had 1.

1) Every item I ordered was cold. 2) The quality of the fish was bad and ridiculously expensive considering the portion size and quality I was given. 3) The batter on the fish and sausage was the wrong texture and consistency. Instead of light and crispy I got thick and dense. 4) The sausage tasted like it was mainly starchy filler with hardly any meat. It’s apparently chicken and beef so no pork at all. Great and 5) To top off an awful meal, the portion of chips was really small! Never again!
