Cafe Royale in Havering

We visited for the first time today as it always seems full every time we pass by in the car. But I’m sorry to say I now can’t understand why it’s so popular. I had what they called the Big Breakfast which was spread out over the plate to look big but a plate half the size would have sufficed. The food although hot lacked any flavour whatsoever and I really would like to know where they get their produce from as it doesn’t seem to be of a high standard. So yes this was our first and last visit.

Great breakfast lovely cafe and our waitress Eli she is the best always enjoy going in.often use cafe with family and friends always great food and very busy great service.

Absolutely outstanding place to eat Wow the menu is massive My eggs Benedict with sliced sausage and well cooked bacon came with a amazing side salad This is definitely one of the finest breakfasts I have had the pleasure to eat Parking right outside

Pleasantly surprised by this Cafe wonderful food, friendly staff and very nice atmosphere in this Cafe, good value for money. Would definitely be going back soon.

tried here once again.30 minutes to get served.the main lady,and the young girls tried there best.just not good enough.cooks arguing with staff.when go into the cafe.food..mushrooms stone cold.bland sausages barely warm.fried eggs,well hard boiled..just so poor..delivery drivers on bikes ,driving onto the path 2 feet from tables. grandson nearly knocked over,no sorry..deliveries seem to get priority..will go back once more.as a couple not on a sunday.not holding my breathe..so sorry gary...

Lovely cafe, very clean and tidy. Ordered ham, egg and chips but was disappointed when the food come up because the ham was wafer thin, cheap packet ham and a very small portion for the price. I believe traditional ham, egg and chips should be ham on the bone I would rate this cafe a lot higher if the quality of the food wasn’t so cheap.

Amazing cafe, amazing staff; very welcoming. It was very busy on Sunday morning and the fact that it was so busy didn’t have to wait long for my breakfast. Hygiene level is very high had my food in comfort. Thank you Cafe royale

Went last saturday.breakfast..fab food excellent service..this week sunday,for breakfast with family.food ok.service terrible..lack of staff..we sat down .two tables sat down after us and got served before us..need more staff..2 people taking up a six seater table.not good.toast coming up 15 mins b4 breakfast..will alway s give a restaurant a second chance .so will go back.

went down one sunday morning with me and the boshweiler. Had the english breakfast and it was spot on…top quality foot and top people. BOSH!

Breakfast with hubby was lovely . Everything exactly as we asked for. Hubby had poached egg on toast with extras perfectly runny eggs. I had a set breakfast all perfect excellent bubble and squeak

Walked in,no reception, food diabolical omelette came up very watery, no flavour at all. Left most of it. Never going there again

Most uncomfortable lunch. Walked in with a buggy, cafe was quiet. no welcome, no offer to seat me somewhere. Staff were extremely unwelcoming but seemed to greet other customers perfectly fine...ironically another customer was polite enough to tell me I could sit anywhere I liked. Not sure if they have a problem with my skin complexion or having a baby with me. Either way customer service was below the belt. As I left, no thank you no please as I paid the bill...and to top it off they saw me leave and struggle with my buggy and didn't even bother to hold the door open for me. I literally just left and am writing this review. That's how awkward they made me feel.

Ordered food and drink for my sister’s birthday and our drinks were missing. Delivery driver told us to call the restaurant as it wasn’t his concern. Called the restaurant and the manager was horrible and rude. Told me he won’t refund me and that it’s ‘not his problem’. Didn’t have any concern for his customers whatsoever and was rude. Did not resolve my issue and instead said ‘bye-bye’ and hung up. Avoid this place if you don’t want to lose money. Also expensive and the hash browns were gross and made my throat sting. Avoid avoid avoid. :)

Seating inside and out. Comfortable and open . I felt safe . Staff were attentive we had smoothies. Food was good value. Parking was a little difficult. We found a side road closed by

Unfortunately I had a bad experience here, which is a shame as it has good reviews. The manager was extremely rude, and not what you expect in how customers should be treated. And the portions are very small.

So disappointed as this is my local cafe. To be recently given a 1 on scores on doors in relation to hygiene etc is just not acceptable and has completely put me off from ever returning.l unless this changes. There is no reason why any business in relation to food is not a 5. What a shame.

This hotel by far is the best place to stay in London. I had the opportunity to visit the property a couple of years ago and I thought....this is the place to stay next time I visit London. Unfortunately the next time was this April 2020. Sad to say not able to stay but will be sure to visit next year 2021. This hotel is close to Picadilly Circus and the theater district. The rooms are gorgeous and service is the best! As a travel professional for the last 30 years I can say this is where you want to stay on your next visit to London.

Lovely, fresh home cooked meals. Lots of choice, big portions and very friendly staff. At the moment doing takeaways, best to phone first if possible. PLEASE TRY TO SUPPORT THIS CAFE IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES - WE NEED IT TO SURVIVE. Thank you

Great cafe. Breakfasts amazing, roasts delicious, great choice of drinks. Freshly squeezed OJ is superb. Prices so reasonable and staff so friendly.

A warm friendly staff that cannot do enough for you. The food is excellent in a nice warm friendly atmosphere. I go there nearly every day for breakfast.

The cafe is set out nicely, with great decor. Presentation is a strong point of this cafe, down to the way they present their food. The food tastes lovely, I have had a few different meals from them now and they have all been great, and a good-sized portion too. Plus the staff are all friendly and all do a great job with their service. Oh, and their milkshakes are great, too.

Went there for the first time today. Staff are all lovely, and it has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Tons of variety to choose from. Very happy to recommend.

Just like to say this review is about the Café Royale in Upper Brentwood Road. Gidea Park Romford. Have often passed by and it looked good but looks are deceiving. Husband and I visited today for the first time at lunchtime. Typical café menu I asked for a Baguette with cheese and a coffee. Up it came coffee just warm some salad with it.. Very poor quality cheese and some Balsamic vinegar had been put on the salad but then they had cut my Baguette in half and half of it was wet when I went to eat it from where they had poured the Balsamic vinegar on the plate.Asked for salad cream as not offered any cheap old Lidl brand no taste at all. Husband had burger very thin and cheap with beans and frozen chips and two eggs. The name Café Royale does not suit the food offered there. If going to open a café why assume your customers want cheap Iceland food to eat. I think my Baguette had ,had the marge put on by a blind person there was that little of it. Why no butter? Noticed two notices payment cash only it all seems about profit here, And a bowl marked tips. Yes got one for you use decent food. We shall not return there again.

The breakfast is always so perfectly cooked and I'm really particular with my food. Service is 5* and everyone always has a smile on their faces. Prices are so good too!!!!

Best cafe in the area. This is a must try. The chicken kebab with salad 5* will defo be going back with friends

Had a lovely meal here. Ordered Sheperds Pie and my friend ordered Lasagna. My friends meal arrived and it was a huge serving with fries and a lovely salad. Mine arrived and again it was a large serving of the pie with really crisp roast potatoes and a large portion of fresh vegetables and it was very hot. I have to say that we both thought the food was delicious. The environment is very pleasant and very clean. The staff are very polite and friendly and most of all, grateful for your custom. This cafe has a lot of ‘very’s’ and you won’t be disappointed

Called in recently for breakfast with a friend and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was very good. The restaurant was nice and clean and prices very reasonable. No complaints at all and will definitely return.

Have been a few times here as I love the food especially the breakfasts. The staff are very helpful and the cafe is very clean and food is yummy!

just rung them as thought I had left a personal item in there after having lunch and could not be bothered to speak to me as said too busy ring later very rudely .

We were in Collier row today when hunger hit. And we found this place.

I come here quite a lot, but the last few visits have been awful!

This place looks great, smells great, is licenced, and the locals recommend it. I went in for a bacon roll and it was great! Really great! And so I went back in for another one, and that was great. Little gem ... so next time you are wondering what to do while your Mazda is being serviced, pop round the corner into this friendly little gem!

Went for breakfast today really enjoyed it place lovely and clean good staff, must be popular got busy before we left family enjoyed there food service very good would we go again yes we would good value for money.

Had a steak meal here, so well presented and tasted superb , better than most Resturants , such good value for a local cafe. Staff please too.

Excellent value for money. Food is prepared and presented well, service is efficient and the venue is clean, modern and well designed.

Go to this cafe at least once a month as a family or couple never had a bad visit here food always amazing!

Went on Sunday and traditional Roast dinner and was really good food in a nice restaurant. pleasant staff too.
