Cafe Roberto in Wycombe

Popped in for coffee while I waited for my partner. It's average but no more although I liked the way they presented the cake I ordered.

The place is very nice, but the employees, especially the person named Zineb, spoke in a very disturbing manner every time we went, we do not want to sit there just because of this person. I heard that many people have experienced this, I recommend that the owner of the company find a solution for this employee.

Visited for lunch with our 2 year old. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with our little one. Reasonably priced and good portions. Will definitely return.

No matter how many times we have been there, I can't complain about the staff Dan, but Zineb always interferes with the staff and complicates the orders. Many people around me complain about this situation. We don't want to come just because of this lady Dan. It's so annoying!

The atmosphere was only marked down because not enough people use it and opt for fake Italians like pizza express and Zizzi. Staff were friendly at attentive. Zanab (I think) couldn't do enough for us.

I enjoyed a lovely lunch today with my daughter delicious chicken pasta and garlic bread . The food is freshly made so many choices I can highly recommend this cafe

AVOID IT! Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. 1 hour and 20 minutes wait for a miserable pasta main course which arrived undercooked and extremely salty. Unprofessional waitress who didn’t even asked for drinks orders , not even water was asked on arrival, table was sticky and not cleaned. It was definitely the joke of the year! No apologies for delay and they had the face to charge for a full price for this miserable service and food including a side dish of fries which never arrived at our table . AVOID IT at all costs!

Went there for a quick coffee and slice of cake, ended up waiting about half an hour for our order, which was most likely forgotten about, to arrive. The service was slow and staff were forgetful and unpleasant. It was a highly uninviting atmosphere. Overall, the long-awaited cake was mediocre and the experience was disappointing.

Really good pizza, late lunch so very empty

First time here after walking past many times. Had a great meal, tried both kinds of calamari. Both good but the grilled with tomato sauce is excellent! Happy to see there were mocktails and mine was really nice. We each tried pasta and both the carbonara and Paccheri Chiccherichi were delicious! Highly recommend.

The food was of much lower quality than before... unfortunately, it did not taste as good as the restaurant presented in February this year. We are very disappointed. It felt as if the person preparing the food was in a hurry to get home as quickly as possible and made dishes out of paper... unfortunately the food was not good and in portions suitable for small children.

If it wasn't because of the hospitality I would have given it a 5*. The guy at the till was very good but the lady serving even though friendly she did take a long time to serve and did not seem that worried. The drinks and food is superb for the price. Lovely place which does not charge table service and has a good menu with different choices to choose from. Has space inside and outside when it is nice weather.

Our first visit and we were not impressed. Waited nearly an hour for our food. Brunch turned into lunch.!Decided to leave and then it arrived. All they did was take a coffee off the bill. They couldn't even explain why they made such a mess of things.

Cafe Roberto is a really nice place to go. Coffee and cake or something from the oven that they can bake. Create an atmosphere where it's nice to sit outside and even have a cocktail or beer.

The food Is frozen food he just quickly fries from Tesco, it is undercooked and comes raw. The owner was rude and was swearing and being vulgar in the restaurant . The location has a lot of congestion and noise causing for a very hectic experience. Would it recommend.

Today I was at Café Robertos and the truth is they changed the menu. It's not a bad change for the better, but when it's for the worse, nothing to do with it, the meat had a lot of sauce and the owner of the restaurant kept insulting the waiters all the time, and I also know that this Sir, he doesn't pay them their full salary, he gives them little by little, he is a freeloader of these people who need the job. Today when I saw how he insulted the waiter for anything, I felt very sorry for all the employees. I hope they get a better job

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit. My experience was extremely disappointing. I ordered two lattes and had to wait for 20 minutes before asking the staff about the status of our order. Even after the long wait, the coffee was served without sugar and tasted terrible. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude, especially the older lady who was working there. Her behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. Horrible!!!!!! I don't recommend to anyone to visit this cafe.

Food was delicious and from the moment we entered we were given fantastic customer services. Food was at the perfect price point and I can't wait for the next time we come back! Highly recommend!

Asked for an ice coffee, they didnt have any ice so i asked for a flat white instead. Traditionally a flat white is a strong coffee with milk served in a small cup - it was served in a giant cup of milk with little to no coffee taste at all. Our food came a good 5 mins before our drinks and also without any cutlery that we had to ask for as we were sat looking awkwardly at our food. Young in experienced waiting staff. I ordered the eggs benedict with “crispy” bacon - bacon was cold and fatty and plate swimming in oil. The toasted English Muffin was barely toasted and it was a sweet brioche bread - not what was described on the menu. My partner ordered a full english that was swimming in grease and sausages were barely cooked. It was just all absolutely horrible and will never ever be going back. Avoid for breakfast. The only saving grace is its a warm day and the terrace area is a nice place to sit. But i would only go and buy a drink out of a can or bottle.

Loved the place and the staff were what u would expect in somewhere like that , the cake was very nice and coffee thank you for a lovely visit

12 minutes to get some One to take my order and when I got up to see what was going on just saw the lady on the phone ..... Got up and leave

Very slow service alot of staff just standing around put off returning in the future

Have been here a couple times now, and we do keep going back. It's a nice alternative to a chain like Costa/Starbucks/BlackSheep in the Eden Centre. There is some outside seating which is lovely in the summer with some smoking seating at the end. This is unfortunate if there is a breeze however as it floats across the nearby tables. There is a ramp up to the smoking area outside which is helpful if you need a wheelchair, but the tables are a little close together for navigating too far into the cafe. The breakfasts were plentiful and tasty, with many cakes on display it was difficult to exercise restraint! The air conditioning inside could be cooler, especially on those hot days, but is serviceable. Staff are lovely, there have been a couple new hires whose first language is English although some others struggle to understand what you want, pointing to the menu helps.

Café Roberto has a lovely atmosphere, is well staffed and has a superb menu. The dishes served are top quality, presented well, pleasing to see and delicious to taste. The price is right with the generous servings. Well staffed, and the waiting staff generally efficient.

Another excellent meal. Roberto's deserves to be busy for dinner - the chef is obviously a truly authentic Italian chef (please trust me; I know chefs across Europe). I noticed some reviews about the speed of delivery - this is because it's definitely not a fast food pretend Italian; this cuisine is prepared properly, which takes time!Front of the house (n.b. Anna) is so welcoming and works hard at hospitality. If you haven't yet visited please do.

Food was good There was no pepperoni pizza

My previous post was deleted. I am hoping this one doesn’t also get deleted. As previously stated the waiters looked to be doing the best they could with what seemed to be a poorly managed business. someone (who clearly was in charge given that my earlier post was deleted) spent a good few minutes on the morning that i visited the cafe berating and scolding an employee for being three minutes late. it seemed very excessive and created an awful atmosphere for my party and everyone else who over heard the exchange. i don’t appreciate my review being deleted. it was an honest customer experience and deleting it hints at a dishonest business model.

Ordered a chicken and bacon salad which came and the tomatoes were unwashed still with soil, the waitress brought the salad the chef only removed the tomatoes and replaced them with cherry tomatoes, but the rest of the salad remind the same. I asked for a new salad as they should have asked me in the first place if I would like them to make a fresh one rather then living me the contaminated one, 3th time they brought the salad with the unwashed tomatoes from the 1st salad. The manager brought the salad to me trying to convince me that the soil is a salad dressing, however, forgot to mention that they actually forgot the dressing! The place was great when they opened, but gradually is going downhill.

Over cooked. Eggs, sausage and bacon. Oily mushrooms, cold toast. Too much Salmon covered in olive oil. Disappointing.

Had a lovely hot chocolate with an almond croissant this morning. The staff were polite and attentive, the hot chocolate was really nice. Sadly the croissant was stale and reheated, very rubbery and hard to cut with a knife and fork. I've eaten fresh croissants in other cafes and restaurants and they were so yummy, so this was a real let down. I'm surprised they don't have daily delivery of fresh croissants like many cafes I've been to b4

I recently visited Cafe Roberto and had an exceptional dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes that catered to all taste preferences. the service was bad, the food came very late. we ordered lasagna and it was too doughy and did not taste good. when we asked for the bill they kept bombarding us with questions about why we didn’t enjoy it. we still had to pay full price.

The best Calzone in Buckinghamshire ! The only masterchef Lello and wonderful Zeinab. Thank you for the delicious food and excellent service !

A friend and I spent another lovely evening at Roberto's. It was such a warm evening that we sat on the terrace for dinner. There was a lovely atmosphere with everyone enjoying food, wine & warmth! We had great service from the always smiling Zainab! Nothing is ever too much trouble. Highlights of this particular meal were a goats cheese starter and a delicious saltimbocca. And of course the house rose! We will be back again soon!!!

A very cool place on the High Wycombe culinary map. Tasty meals and delicious desserts. Extremely nice, professional service. Special thanks to the wonderful Zeinab, who showed empathy for our mother, who uses a wheelchair. Thank you very much ! We highly recommend this lovely restaurant !

It was a lovely place. The staff were welcoming. Drinks were nice but the food took a long time think because there was only one chef on at the time. Food was very nice and filling though.

Great and affordable food. The wait was not long at all and the coffee is great quality! Service was a bit awkward but not bad at all. Recommended for a relaxed and casual dining experience!

Ok but we felt like we were being kicked out. We had not finished our drinks and the bill came. We said we didn't ask for it and we were still enjoying our time. The lady asked if we wanted anything else and we didn't so she said we can pay then. The place was not busy and we were not there for a long time. I don't think it was more than 30 min. If they had people running away and trying to cover themselves we would have understood but no info was given. We honestly felt like we were asked to leave so they can make room for others

Amazing place. Amazing staff. Nice atmosphere.

Seems to be going downhill in customer service and quality. Some of the items tasted bland and unfrozen.

Food was decent and well presented, mum was very happy with her lamb dish. But the service received from the waitstaff was too inconsistent to be considered good. Whilst one waitress was trying their best and was lovely, the rest of the wait team let the side down. We had to ask three times for the same thing, had to find a waiter to get cutlery after the food had been brought to us, plus there was an argument between the waiter and the chef - unfortunately we were sat by the kitchen and it just ruined the vibe. We didn’t leave a tip for reasons including the above. The waiter made asked why and when told the service wasn’t good made a fuss about it whilst we were still there adding to the perception of not great service. Disappointing experience this time around - there really wasn’t and excuse for the lack of attentiveness. The place wasn’t busy and didn’t seem understaffed.

The experience was quite stressful - it was really challenging to communicate with the servers and they brought out the wrong items a few times. They also charged us extra for items that should have come as part of the meal. Lastly, I wasn't really impressed with the size of portions (should have had at least 2 hash browns with the vegetarian breakfast) relative to the price. I won't be returning for a full breakfast again, maybe just a coffee.

Love the salads here and the cooked breakfast is a high standard. We pop in here when shopping in wycombe

We didn't get our food..the place was greatly under staffed despite the restaurant not being busy..they just didn't seem.to cope and we had to leave for the theatre. I did feel sorry for them. But it needs to be addressed. Then we were charged for a bottle of wine we didn't have. Wasn't the best experience by a long shot.

This place has fantastic decorations that make a fabulous atmosphere. Nice customer service.

Been to Roberto's a couple of times and both times it has been lovely! If you are looking for freshly made food served with a smile this is the place for you. The portion sizes are great as well. I look forward to our next visit!

My friend and I came here with our 2 young kids a few weeks ago and the service was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble even when they moved all the candles and glasses from our section of the restaurant so the boys didn't break anything! A big thank you to them for their kindness and wonderful service.The food and the atmosphere was great and I look forward to coming back.

Great coffee and when I called the next day to see if I had left my favourite gloves there the staff were very helpful. Certainly planning to go back for a meal especially as there are gluten-free options for my friend. 👍

I came here for a bite to eat before cinema with a friend. I ordered a halloumi burger and fries. It came within good time 10 to 15 minutes. I thought reasonable timing although Tues night not particularly busy. It was delicious all presented well and very tasty.

This is our second time going, it is amazing, the staff are very friendly and courteous, the food is excellent, we will go again and again.

It's OK but the acoustics are bad, if there is (there was!) a family with a small child shouting and crying, it's almost too much. My wife and I wanted a chilled afternoon glass of wine but it was a bit hard work! We only had a pizza and that was OK...

Ahh cafe Roberto! Food inspired from Italia! You really feel the Italian vibe through your senses and it truly feels like you are at the heart of italy. Then you open your eyes, unplug your ears and low and behold you find yourself at the rear end of Wycombe. In Italy there's the leaning tower of pizza, here you witness the leaning group of crack heads limping with their stolen duvets, not the most sightly views. This doesn't take away from the food, commendable and the service is superb. The rats that dart to and from bull lane can give you quite a fright to say the least. I've been reassured that they haven't made their way to the food, yet. My eyes are peeled on that one. They've tried to make the atmosphere as Italian as possible but you can only truly experience it if you squint your eyes and hold your breath for the entire duration here. Explains why Specsavers and Scrivens opticians surround the cafe, the amount of squinting you have to do to feel like you're in Italy will probably damage your eyes so in that sense they've planned ahead. Overall can't complain.

Me and my friends decided to try an Italian food for the first time so we headed to Caffe Roberto in high Wycombe. We had a great time eating delicious food at this restaurant .the waiters and waitress were committed to great service and were very friendly .the atmosphere and the presentation of the food was awesome . Here’s some recommendations to try out : My favourite dish was Gambroni al zaferano oh my god tasted absolutely mesmerising. There was also vegetarian pasta options for my vegie friend here’s some : -paccheri all ortolana - ravioloni Gorgonzola r noci She tried the ortolana it was delicious and fresh . And my 2 other friends had Calzone Classico . Further more we took The Italian chef’s homemade tiramisu as a dessert it was the best tiramisu we ever had !!.usually I don’t write reviews but this one it seek my attention If you wanna try a real Italian and affordable go to this restaurant give it a try .

The food was presented with care and attention to detail with fresh ingredients. It tasted lovely. The service was good without being intrusive. There was a happy atmosphere from all the staff who were very helpful.

Had my lunch at Roberto's today I had an amazing experience everything was lovely from the beginning, staff were very attentive, great ambience with Italian jazz. I had the seafood pasta and for dessert was quite difficult to choose because of the variety of Italian cakes so I went for my favourite passion fruit cheese cake. Thank you all

Got burnt lasagna when ordered takeaway.

I had the worst experience ever, not only they gave me an out of date desert that definitely was tasting out of date, was not even on the fridge, but they also told me there was nothing wrong with it and that I was wrong and if I don’t eat it I’ll pay for it still even it being bad. This happened to me and to two of my friends.

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, reasonably priced, food OK but not much choice for those wanting a light lunch (that may be why it was virtually empty at 1PM midweek).

The food wasn't bad but definitely not worth the price. The bolognase was boring and the carbonara was really heavy. The garlic bread was mostly burnt. The only food I can recommend getting were the fries. The staff seemed a bit clueless and should probably take some lessons in customer service. The atmosphere wasn't great it felt like I was in a retirement home.

Just been to Roberto's were allowed to order drinks and given a menu to order food then told the kitchen was not accepting food orders for 20 mins or so at 1.30 pm it's a disgrace won't be going back

Food in this place is good value for money. What I don't appreciate is the server bringing me the bill without me having finished my coffee and not knowing if I wanted another coffee. I had the traditional breakfast which was very nice. They missed out on selling me another coffee because they were to eager to get me off the table....... lesson learnt hopefully 🙏

Staff seemed disorganised and a bit chaotic when we went. Food was ok. The main meal was tasty but the cake we had for dessert was a bit dry and stale. Prices were ok / good.

Food and atmosphere are great. Food is good for the price but not truly authentic Italian cuisine. Quite often run out of some items this time example ice cream.

*******AVOID****** Just been for breakfast here to find chewing gum in the bottom of my mums orange juice glass.. manager met us with aggression no apology and may as well have accused us of putting it the glass .. reporting to environmental health

It was a sunny lunch time so people were seated outside. We were put right next to what looked like a building site then we waited and waited and waited not even an offer of drinks so we gave up and went elsewhere, so didn't try the food. Wasn't even that busy. Poor service

Just had a delivery from here and it exceeded my expectations. I had two pasta dishes which were hot and delicious with generous potions. Thank you.

Went today for brunch it was terrible! We originally asked if they could make a sandwich (admittedly not on the menu) but told it was possible given they sold the item on a breakfast. We sat down, ordered and were told that they couldn't actually make a sandwich. We then adjusted our order and it took 30 minutes to receive two breakfasts. Even when we asked 20 minutes in where our food was, we were told it was coming and a laugh that it takes at least half an hour. Not quite sure why that was funny. Food arrived (separately) and my poached eggs and avocado on toast was awful. The toast was not toasted, avocado slimy and ice cold. My dad's breakfast was equally as bad. Half was cold and the other tasted off. We complained and paid as quickly as we could to leave. The service was terrible too...but the coffee was nice. Definitely won't be going back and wouldn't waste your time or money there either. Real shame.

Absolutely a fantastic place to have a lovely meal, the service that is provided is fantastic I have nothing bad to say, my waiter was absolutely amazing and always made sure that I was a satisfied customer. Don’t take my word for it go and have a look for yourself, you won’t regret it.
