I LOVE Chase Gardens Cafe! I am a sandwich and soup connoisseur and Chase Gardens has THE BEST in Eugene: I swear I’ve tried every sandwich shop in Eugene and I’m ALWAYS disappointed when it’s not Chase Gardens Cafe. Their House of Goud, meatloaf sandwich is FU***** AMAZING! I literally dream about this sandwich once a month 😅. Their soup is homemade and so so yummy! I’ve never had the same soup twice. Last time is was sesame, broccoli, and beef and it was OMG my favorite! Even their tomato soup is flipping amazing! I LOVE THIS LITTLE UNASSUMING PLACE! Go, go now because it’s delicious AF!!!!!!

New meatloaf sandwich with a salad and bread pudding was delicious.

Coffee was great, we had lattes but the breakfast bowl with bacon was just terrible. Dried out reheated eggs, undercooked potatoes and bacon. Yuck.

A nice little place. I really enjoyed my drink; the roast is unique and I appreciate that. A solid 4/5! Started reading the reviews for funsies and a bit disappointed to see the passive aggressive retorts from the shop. It's definitely worth a visit!

The sandwiches are always so delicious! The service with a smile makes this place feel homey. Honestly, they have the best carrot cake and best bran muffins we've ever had in our lives. For breakfast, you cannot beat their burritos. Add avocado for that little zing! The salad dressings and salsa have to be homemade, they taste like it. The food here has a great homemade taste. No fake chain store flavor.

Overall: inconsistent I went a month previous and got the breakfast bowl, I really enjoyed it and wanted to go back. But I went back today and got the same thing and it just wasn't good. I got it to go this time, but I watched the girl heating it up in the microwave (I was really hoping it wasn't my order) but Alas, it was. I still wanted to give it a shot so I tried eating it back in my car but the texture of eggs after they've been put through the microwave isn't great. I almost spit my second bite out. I might try them one more time, but they are apparently inconsistent with how food is made.

I wanted to like this place, it smelled nice and the menu was clear and simple. The two gals at the front were nice, too. I ordered a quiche muffin ($6 but actually $7 if you wanted it warmed up in the microwave?) and a coconut milk mocha. The drink was so bitter and burned that I could not drink it. I took a few sips to taste but it was not drinkable. I went to the counter to ask them if they could please try remaking it because it was far too bitter, and they denied that their coffee could taste burned or bitter. I had to leave for a medical appointment so I told them I'd be back if they'd be willing to make me a new one, and they agreed saying they'd remember and didn't need to write it down. When I came back, there was a line so I didn't want to interrupt, and I sat down to work while I waited. Once the shop cleared out, I could tell that they were uncomfortable but they didn't say anything or even acknowledge me the entire time I sat there. One of the gals took the dirty bin, including my full drink that was sitting in there, and didn't say anything. I decided to leave because I didn't like this customer treatment. Apparently, my medical assistant has tried coffee from there and also found it to not taste right. Things can go wrong and that's ok, but I would have appreciated an offer of making it again without the defensiveness and then being ignored. I won't be back unless I'm desperate for wifi.

I love this little cafe. Great place to grab a coffee and try something fun. The carrot cake is the best.

This was a hidden gem I hadn't heard of prior to my visit. Coffees were exceptional. Pastries, though not sampled had me salivating and I plan to return more often, though likely to the newer library location. Jessica provided the epitome of great service and I left with a smile sipping my cup of joy.

Everything was so delicious, I recommend this place to anyone wanting a quick bit to eat. I had their tomato cheese soup, tuna melt with a side salad. 😋

wow… worst iced latte i have ever had. this was taken within moments of walking out of the store. virtually no ice and what IS there, is nearly completely MELTED! espresso also tastes bitter and expired.

This place was such an unexpected gem. I stopped by before a doctor's appointment for lunch, and I'm so glad I did. The staff is super friendly and the food was great. Almost everything is made in-house which really makes a difference. There were loads of options for sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, breakfast biscuits and quiches... I definitely want to come back to try more.

This little gem is a bright bright spark of joy every time even on the most eh work days. Every single food item is INCREDIBLE and so many fun treats! ALWAYS get the candied bacon and all the bread puddings 💛

My family went out for different style of lattes here and everyone really liked their drinks 🙂 looking forward to getting food next time everything looked delish. My family will definitely be going back for sure! The owner is so nice and is really good at what he's put together. 👌

food is alright, it's a little expensive, right next to a hospital so it's not really the place I'd go for the atmosphere but there aren't many other restaurants nearby so that's a plus

Had lunch here today and was very happy with the choice, fast fare for the lunch hour rush. Good choices were the large Marge wrap and side salad. Not unreasonable for the reasonable price.

I live in the neighborhood and I LOVE this place. Great coffee and treats! I come here whenever I want to avoid cooking lunch or a light dinner. Everyone is so nice too!

I eat here daily, as I work next door. The food is fantastic, the workers are thoughtful and friendly, and the atmosphere is great! I always feel welcome there, and always recommend it to patients that I care for. The food and drink are really great quality, and are prepared with love. Seriously can't recommend this place enough.

Regularly eat here as part of the restaurant has a dog friendly area which is perfect for us. We have tried most of the menu between us and not been disappointed. Food is excellent and staff are friendly, and happy to offer your dog fresh water. At busy times you may have to wait to be seated, but worth it.

Super stoked to be able to visit here again! I got regular coffee and a bacon quiche. Both hit the spot. I had a phone business meeting so I sat at a table outside. Come visit a local cozy spot for good coffee and savory or sweet food. You will NOT be disappointed.

I look forward to appointments at my doctor's office. Breakfast, coffee, pastries, and paninis. I've had it all, and it's all great. Don't be afraid of ordering the side salad. The dressing is homemade, and it's wonderful. This place gives a new meaning to hospital food. I go out of my way to eat here, and you should too.

I don’t know what they do to the bacon but it’s amazing. Everything is amazing. I recommend trying the soup which are always changing, too!

This place has delicious food. Having Google even mention this is making my mouth water for their jerk chicken wrap. Im not even a fan of spicy things but I ate one and ordered another one to go. I've eaten there many times and I wish l lived to closer to it so I could walk over and get food.

We live locally and we used to visit this cafe frequently,so we decided to visit for lunch. On visiting there was no signs asking us to wait to be seated so we looked for a quiet spot as our son has asd and high anxiety. We decided to head outside as it was the quietest spot, we found a little booth. Once settled the waiter came over and said we could not sit there as it was reserved and we cannot just choose where we want to sit. I found this odd as there was no reserved signs and the outside was totally empty. We then moved to where he suggested, in the busy part of the cafe, due to my sons difficulties he could not handle this so we then had to leave. We will not be visiting again, they showed no compassion for my sons disabilities and were not helpful what so ever.

Breakfast Burrito w/ "Bacon"... All eggs and Potatoes. (1) tiny strip of bacon... Microwaved... 😑 $7.25. Not worth it. Coffee was good though!

I love this little cafe! I go here frequently on my lunch, due to working at OMG it is very awesome having it be so close. I have been trying to convince my family to come here as well because it so good. The staff are extremely friendly, hardworking and overall, great at their jobs. They make delicious sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, ready made meals and have a great selection of drinks, chips, etc. I highly recommend this place and if you’re considering going, do it! Best cafe in town by a long shot.

This was probably the nicest garden centre I’ve been to, small but oozed quality. The restaurant was beautiful just like everything else, but SOME of the staff were just miserable and surly especially the 2 on the tills and the one helping to pack, spoke to us very abruptly, no need for it it just spoils someone’s day!!!!

Decent coffee, nice atmosphere, but the staff are a mixed bag. Most are great, but a few are extremely rude. Still, a decent place; better if you're a regular.

First visit to the restaurant, and we had the full breakfast and vegan sausage bap. Both were delicious, eggs were perfectly cooked, staff were very friendly. Outside tables were well spaced out and comfortable and great to sit out in the sunshine. We will return again!

Only opened a couple of weeks ago and its very impressive in style, service and quality of food. Very helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable seating and generous spacing. Good menu. Plumped for Paninis and French fries plus cappuccino. Excellent Highly recommended

The food is not bad in a pinch, and the staff is always friendly. But I am concerned that I never see kitchen staff wearing gloves, and as I have watched sandwiches being prepared, I notice what could be considered cross-contamination. Examples: a staff member handling food with bare hands, then touching handles of grills, then going back to touching food; resting hands on the counter that has been wiped with a dirty-looking rag, then going to prep food with bare hands without washing. Things like that. I really love the convenience of this place, the menu variety, and nice staff, but I have a hard time watching some of the practices going on behind the counter. I have also noticed things such as half-used avocado sitting out on the back counter, where it isn't in any sort of container or its own section in the prep area, and it being picked up to be used in a sandwich. It made me wonder how long it had been sitting out in the open where workers are frequently walking by. I really hate to criticize this bistro, but I do hope management will take some things into consideration.

The coffee was ok, not hot enough, but, what I did not like was the smell of the food was too much and the tables were not clean. They should clean more often. The server was nice however.

Having previously always had good experiences at this cafe the recent changes of staff and management have lead to me not wanting to return ever again. At lunchtime two weeks ago, after a long wait , our lunch was delivered by a very surly waitress who was apparently reluctant to serve us ( or others ) Thinking it was just a one off we called in again today. Having waited at the counter for several minutes while various members of staff flitted around we were totally taken aback when someone came to serve and decided ( without speaking to us at all ) that we were already being seen to by someone else and that it was therefore ok for him to serve his friends who had just turned up ! We stood there for a few more moments then decided to leave and go elsewhere. Not going there again to be ignored.

Booked a table for three for Christmas lunch and absolutely delighted. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The table was ready and we were seated quickly. Water was provided without being asked. Our pre-booked meal (2 x turkey dinners & 1 x roast veg & mushroom en-croute) was ready as soon as we were. The food was delicious and plenty of it too. We were not rushed between courses and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended and would certainly return

Eight of us, booked for lunch, a mix of Gluten Free, Vegetarian & Fussy! We asked for certain items to be changed, no problem, no salad dressing, again no problem. Two plates sent back as coleslaw not wanted. Yet again no problem. Served by kind, friendly, obliging staff, especially the young man, who really went the extra mile. Lovely cakes for dessert, some eaten there, others wrapped to take home. Literally, nothing was too much trouble. Have been before, go quite regularly actually & have found food, service & staff to always be very good. My one gripe. Plates please. Not! Slate tiles. If I want to eat off a piece of slate I’ll go sit on a roof & no of course I wouldn’t do that. Tiles, chopping boards, shovels, etc! Chefs & cafe/restaurant owners everywhere take note. It’s not trendy, it’s not clever & it’s been done to death. You did by the way have really attractive plates! So thank you for serving my lunch on one of those!

Service nice & quick and attentive. All our party happy with their food. No complaints from us. Good value for money.

Only tried a Danish and some thick bar. Food was decent. The bar was maybe too sweet. Even the Danish wasn't as sweet. The black coffee was good. Odds are we will try it again here and there but only because we happen to be next to it. So if you're in the hood needing a breakfast bite you can't go wrong.

Today me and two friends met for coffee and cake at the garden centre cafe. We ordered and sat down at one of the sofas around 11:45am. Our full order took about 10 minutes to arrive. While we were chatting and eating our 3 cakes and hot drinks (12:35) we had purchased we were approached by an employee, without asking whether we were finished she started clearing away 2 of the half eaten cakes and the tea cups. While one of my friends moved her cake out of her reach she then made a comment about people waiting for the table. There were 4 unused tables around us and no one in sight waiting to sit down. Our heavily pregnant friend took a sip of her glass of water and before she had even put it down it was taken away. Already we were gobsmacked and shocked by what had already happened, we were approached less than a minute later by another employee to say the table was now reserved and there was someone coming, followed by a forced, ‘not that we’re kicking you out or anything’. She asked my friend whether she was finished with her pot of tea to which she replied, ‘I have no longer got a cup or milk’, the teapot was then removed. We left and can honestly say will never return again.

As a fairly regular customer, I called in for a sneaky fry-up before shopping. Very tasty and good quality ingredients. A good menu choice too including for vegetarians. Friendly helpful staff.

Great place for a great gourmet-ish sandwich. Tried to take husband on weekend, but was sad they were not open...

Have visited twice this month , once for a birthday treat after walking on a hot day so was lovely to be able to take the dog with us in the outer part of the cafe . My husband enjoyed the ginger cake on this occasion . On Thursday after voting locally we treated ourselves to a slice out of the cabinet . I had the raspberry meringue roularde which was so light . My husband had the mint rocky road mousse which was so big he struggled to finish it . So 4 stamps on our loyalty card in a few days !

Love this place. They are a little spendy and the wait can be long at times but other than that they have great food and amazing soup creations! Been going here for 5 years now 😊

A regular haunt for myself and a friend ... we pop in for coffee several times a week. But today I had a sneaky breakfast too and I have to say it was really tasty. Good quality ingredients made it even better. Thanks to everyone for looking after us.

Called for morning coffee and just had to have some of their delicious cake also! Have been previously and had some of their homemade soup which was delicious! The staff are very pleasant and welcoming and the cafe is lovely. Would certainly recommend.

We are sitting in the cafe after having a lovely full English breakfast .now off to look around the garden centre , it's being dressed for Christmas and looks amazing.

Breakfasts are served til 11:30. After which the lunch menu takes over. The usual sandwiches, paninis etc, but plus some excellent specials daily.

We came for breakfast on bank holiday Monday and sat in the conservatory because we had our small dog with us which was really comfortable. We visit here quite often for a coffee and cake but have never tried the full English and am glad we did! A good sized breakfast and all the ingredients were of good quality, cooked well and very tasty. The service was quick and the staff were really friendly and polite. A really good breakfast for a good price. Highly recommended.

Being local this is one of my wife and I's go to options if you don't want to have to think about long queues and parking (especially in summer). Relaxed atmosphere with great staff. Food is simple but well put together and fairly priced, you would pay much more for the same nearby. Limited vegetarian options but you can find something. Willing to cater towards nut allergy sufferers which is a huge bonus.

we came for coffee but it was very very poor. very sludgy and di dnot taste at all fresh. the scone was ok but not brilliant
