Really lovely little place to pop in on a rainy day. Nice and quiet inside. Coffee was excellent! Good prices too

Visited many times due to working in the area, staff are always very friendly and prompt. Tasty food, especially their carrot cake

I come in this cafe a lot and it has gone down hill . The service is terrible the girls look bored stiff and cannot be bothered to even speak . I was in here a few weeks ago and was served a croissant and it had flies on it . I asked for another and it had the same small flies stuck to it. It was pretty disgusting. Today i have come in again and wish i hadn't . Asked fir a toasty and I've never seen such a insipid thing in all my life . It was thrown at me and was the worst food I've had in a cafe won't be coming in again. Dunno who owns it but you need new staff .

Fantastic coffee and toasted sandwich sat in nice comfortable seats. Helpful staff, dog friendly and great prices. With so many to choose from on a busy high street I'm glad I stopped here.

Nice place to work but I had a lemon meringue tart with a hard meringue on top, not the soft, creamy meringue it should have (the tart itself was underwhelming).

Superb coffee. Lovely pastries. Excellent service. I sat outside and watched trams and life go by in a lovely setting. There's massive competition for cafés in Edinburgh, but Cafe Praline is one of the very best.

Best bakery in Edinburgh, no questions asked. Where do I start? Their bread selection and quality and flavour is out of this world. The cakes, OMG, they're literally to die for! Great selection, all freshly made and amazing value for money. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and if anything, you need to try the Macarons, fresh with beautiful fresh fruit and just delicious. This is definitely a little bit of France right in the heart of Leith. And the delivery service is 10/10, this has been built up and you can tell they've got a complete passion and attention to detail in everything they do. Fancy a nice treat in Leith, then you've found the place. I'll definitely be going in and getting deliveries a whole lot more. A great way to start your day or a beautiful treat after a hard day, either way I can't recommend Café Praline enough. You just need to try it for yourself. 👌🍰🥐☕🥖🍞#️⃣1️⃣🌟

Great local cafe in Leith. Lovely coffees, cakes, sandwiches and my favourite bacon rolls. Great staff. I make a point most weeks to go in and never been disappointed.

Nice staff and clean place. Cappuccino, soup and bread was a bit average (and not very warm..), to be honest. I personally would rather go to another one of the many cafes in the area. However, I can see this as a great cafe to work from and enjoy a tea/cake.

Hot drinks are always good and strong in taste. Pastries are also almost always good, was a little let down by the carrot cake but the pain au raison/lemon meringue made up for it.

Place has gone downhill staff were not too nice either.

It's alright for a quick coffee/pastries Staff kinda unfriendly but polite however you don't feel a welcoming atmosphere as such. Food was okay but not fantastic (had lemon meringue tartlet)

I have been to this lovely cafe before and couldn’t fault the food nor the excellent customer service. So was rather disappointed today when I went with my mum and the person at the counter laughed at my elderly mum as she was trying to order, then Told me earl grey tea was e pensive for me to buy! It cost 69p more! Disappointed and won’t be coming back. Ps the lady who brought our Oder was lovely

Sehr gemütliches Café. Es gibt eine Auswahl an Sandwiches und Kuchen. Über die Mittagszeit eine Tagessuppe und verschiedene Quiche. Nettes Personal, leckerer Tee oder Latte. Ein Besuch lohnt sich wirklich.

I quite often come in and work in here. The coffee is great, the staff are really friendly. It's spacious so you don't feel guilty about sitting using a laptop for a while, and there are plenty of plugs. Absolutely everything I need in a cafe and I would 100% recommend it.

Cafe Praline produces a fantastic flat white. The salmon bagel is also very nice and to top it all the cakes are lovely.

Delicious coffee and incredible cakes and it's wheelchair and buggy accessible. Comfy seats and ample space between tables meant I was able to leave my granddaughter's buggy unfolded without getting in everyone's way. There's a nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Did I mention those delicious cakes?!

Lovely little cafe, affordable and nice coffee. PS don't worry about the spilt coffee! You cleaned it up perfectly haha. Definitely be back.

I love the decor, coffee and service here but sadly the pastries and cakes are such a let down. They look great but taste of absolutely nothing. They also seem to refrigerate them which I think takes the flavour away somehow....

Very friendly lady behind the counter. The cakes tasted amazing. You can't find very often such lovely cakes. The price is reasonable for that quality. On top the coffee was very good too. If I would live here, I would come regular

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The café itself has nice modern decor and feels comfortable. But we were not impressed by the cold hard dense chocolate brownie we ordered.

First visit with my family and lovely it was. The children loved their fresh pastries and my husband and i loved his ham and cheese bagel and my smoked salmon with guacamole and rocket sandwich. Great value for money too. Will be back whenever we're in the area.

I can’t comment on much from Cafe Praline as I was in and out just to get a cake. However, based on how amazing the cake was, I’ll definitely return to try lunch. I got the chocolate crunch bar. The lady described it as a ‘Snickers’ bar. She wasn’t wrong! Although I would say it was sooo much tastier than a Snickers! The lady who served me was helpful and friendly. Will return!

I have been here quite a lot recently. I like the coffee and the space. However, twice when I ordered a sandwich there was a problem. I am vegetarian so today I picked a hummus and sweet pepper sandwich. What I got was completely different with salmon on it. Person who served me just said 'sorry' with no suggestion of replacing or refunding . Won't be coming back

This cafe is breath of fresh air ..a very pleasant place to enjoy great coffe, tea, cakes and lots of delicious filled rolls and soup etc..at great prices....it has wifi....very comfortable seating ...clean with fresh flowers on the tables...which makes for an enjoyable visit..

This is the best cafe in Leith Walk by a long shot. It is bright, airy, tastefully decorated and with a wide range of very comfortable seating. The food and drink is reasonably priced and they have a wide range of quality cakes and treats. The only negative is the fly's! There's always fly's in there and they can be a real pest at times. I cant see any kind of 'Insectocutor' installed but if they had one or two it would make a big difference. Please do this as they're a real pest.

Located near the Foot of The Walk, a good place for coffee, albeit it is a bit pricey. Staff are proficient and competent, but need to be more polite and warm. Otherwise it is a decent cafe.

I moved to Edinburgh recently and have no wifi, so I have been spending a lot of time at this wee cafe near to my flat. Initially it was just because of the wifi (sorry) but I really fell in love with this place.. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the sandwiches are amazing, particularly the bacon, brie and cranberry one, and the coffee is always superb. They also have a loaf of tasty looking snacks which I've yet to try but always get rave reviews from fellow cafe-goers. Add to this the comfy chairs and chilled out music and it's a winner!

Praline has lovely coffee, savoury snacks and cakes but the big downside is that if you are sitting, in unless you are the only customer you will wait, and wait. Staff always serve take away customers before you - even if they arrive after you have been sitting for ages and order 3/4 coffees. This is a long-standing problem so I asked the waitress who explained that this is normal practice here! Actually, it's not normal and it's not good for business! Not recommended for sitting in.

Fresh soup fresh artisan rolls and bread, rolls. Perfect place to eat in and watch world go by. Love their soup

Coffee is competent, gateaux gorgeous, bread bloody awesome. Service is prompt and unfussy. A winning combination & worthy addition to the plethora of options in the area. Do it.

Lovely cafe and the tea, coffee and service couldn’t be faulted but very disappointed that there were no Gluten Free options on the menu. Will have to go elsewhere next time 🙁.

Good coffee good food and friendly staff..

They do the best brownies ever closely followed by their caramel shortbread the portion sizes are the biggest I've ever had. Haven't tried any of the their savory stuff yet but looks great. The prices are reasonable and the service good. What's also great is they are opened later than most cafes in the neighbourhood which is good. Popular with young mums as well as other ages and have good range of seating options. Heartily recommend.
