The food here is of a high standard for extremely reasonable prices. I’ve only been here twice, but the staff were lovely on both occasions. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed lunch or breakfast.

The panini I had was incredibly bland. No air con in the restaurant. I went to use the toilet and was horrified to see what I initially thought was rust around the rim, but it was actual faeces. Felt sick. Couldn't finish my meal. I will try Westow House next time.

I popped in before going to a job at Crystal Palace. What a find, very cute, lovely decor. It’s like being on holiday in a gorgeous little cafe! The guy is very sweet and kind, delicious breakfast, sweet fresh orange juice, coffee is very good, he had oat milk too which is a huge plus for me. All tables nice and spacious so covid safe! It’s a Huge YES from me definitely worth a visit!

Just fancied a quick cup of coffee or so, after a noisy bus ride (never mind face coverings, EAR coverings should be mandatory !!) Wonderful service, eclectic humour, nice coffee too. Definitely one to return to.

During the last 6 months or so, have been meeting here & having coffee outside. Coffee is good & staff polite. A good location, good for visiting the park & for local buses.

We been in queue and Waited to order. While manager served costumers in front of us, and we stood there for good 5 mins, he told us they closing soon and they have run out of food. We walked away to another place and then I saw lady walking from this cafe with order in her hands , and I asked her and she confirmed she was just served. This place does not like interracial couples obviously

Sadly disappointed with both the service and food here. Told to sit then never asked for our order so had to go back to the counter. Then waited far too long for a sandwich when there were only a few tables in use. Then the order came out wrong as well so had to be sent back to add the missing sandwich filling. Based on previous reviews I'm sure we just got them on a bad day but unfortunately going to have to give a low score here.

Solid service, decent breakfast baguette, outside seating is always a pleasure. Overall happy times for everyone.

Went here to eat before catching the bus to central London. I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese omelette and my wife had the mushroom, ham and cheese Omelette, both were served with chips and salad. Both Omelettes were very tasty and the chips were nice and hot, the salad was good too. We both had Americano coffees which were good. Service was friendly and the prices were reasonable.

Cheaper and far better than similar cafe on block , just watch if you sit outside ( which is a little noisy but you are on a very busy road ) as people like to smoke which isn’t the best when you want to tuck into your breakfast

Having just attended an event in the area, we were looking for somewhere to buy some lunch. Stumbled upon this little gem, to the right of it, turn immediately left and there is free. Parking! We were directed to sit down, so we chose a table near the radiator. The proprietor brought over menus then left us to peruse. There were breakfast items, paninis jacket potatoes and lunch items. I chose a ‘Paradou’ burger and chips and my partner chose a steak. The food was home cooked and tasty. We both had desserts, apple pie and ice cream and carrot cake respectively. WC Facilties are not great, but more than made up for by the service.

It's tempting on a nice day to exit Crystal Palace park and head for the cafe opposite with seats overlooking the park entrance. BIG mistake. The place was not that busy but despite that we waited ages to be served. A member of staff took our order with no charm of pleasantries. We'd ordered very basic food but it took so long we were almost gave up. It took about 30 mins for them to bring it after twice being told it was 'nearly ready'. When it arrived it was luke warm and bland. We ate a little then paid and left. Cafe Paradou was a disappointment, particularly when we walked around the corner and saw so many exciting restaurants. if you like bland tasteless food, served (eventually) by surly staff then you will love this place. Everyone else should AVOID it

I ate here for lunch today after reading the expansive and inexpensive menu. The staff were friendly, two guys both quick with the banter and we sat in a cosy corner table before deciding on our order. The food arrived quickly and was pretty good quality; I had the house "Paradou burger" and the beef patty was pretty good, plus the chhips weren't too bad, maybe a little thin and fried for my liking. It came with a nice salad as well and at £7.50 is very good value. We would have stayed for dessert but nothing in particular took our fancy, get a chocolate brownie or cake and you'll have a revisit! Overall if you're in the area for lunch then this is the place to go.

I first started going to Café Paradou in the spring of 2009. I would pop in for an Americano coffee after my morning run in and around the park. After a few weeks' time, I began to become familiar with Sam, the café's owner, and found him to be a fair and friendly owner of the establishment. Later that year, I brought my wife along to try the coffee, which she loved. She drinks two cappuccinos whenever she visits Café Paradou. I have switched between Americanos and espressos over the years, but I recommend both drinks. I have also had the Mocha and hot chocolate, which are also lip-smacking. Café Paradou also offers treats such as delicious croissants, cakes and biscuits. Sodas, beers, wines and spirits are also on offer, as is a full menu of hot food options. I regularly order the scrambled eggs, mushrooms and hash browns. Heavenly! The café has recently undergone a refurbishment which has given it a really rustic French look and makes for a pleasant atmosphere in which to consume great coffee and food and engage in tableside conversation.

This is a lovely little cafe right opposite historic Crystal Palace Park. They open very early (about 7am) and close later than most cafes in the area (6 to 6.30pm). The cappuccinos are really good (they are happy to make it just how you want it) as are the veggie breakfasts and omelettes. The cakes and croissants are delicious, much better than shop-bought ones. They've got an alcohol licence too. Sam, the patron, and his trusty assistant Michel the chef, are very friendly and a lot of fun. The cafe has recently been refurbished to a high standard and now has a nice rustic atmosphere. There is an outdoor seating area. Highly recommended.

What a shame , a great little bar tucked away by Waterloo station . I’ve been coming here for years , but the service has absolutely nosedived. It’s service with a grudge. I stood in the little bar at the front waiting to be served, the male server was clearly unhappy I didn’t walk into the other room to be served , it was 2.55 on a Saturday and he was unhappy as he has to close down the bar for 5.00pm - welcome to the hole in the wall. If you don’t serve in that bar - put a sign up. Lots of people walked in , waited and left. He had time to retire to the kitchen to chat and play on his phone. Really sad to write a review like this because it should be a welcoming and hidden gem

Have been a regular at the tankard for years as an IWM employee. Awful experience this evening, having booked a space for 20 weeks ago (and confirmed) to be told on arrival we had just a small table. The area we were shoved out of then occupied by dinner guests who caused a huge fuss by us being ‘in the way’ and upset several of our party. Manager (?) couldn’t care less and referred me to ‘bookings office in Scotland’! Dreadful treatment for long time paying patrons. Will be taking our business elsewhere.
