I was visiting Newcastle for a day out with my friend, we decided to stop for a coffee break in One to One and we both agreed it was the best coffee we have tasted in a long time, well done staff who were very nice, I didnt get chance to ask what type of coffee you used in a latte as the staff were extremely busy, could you please let me know what type you use please, as it might be a few months before we can visit again and we will be staying for a meal then, thank you.

I was thinking of coming here for ages for an English breakfast. I was gonna come with my mate from Finland but I got COVID. When I walked in the woman behind the counter was pretty rude. She seemed to have banter with everyone else. It was pretty cheap. £8 for a full English. When they brought the food it was a good plate of food. I asked for English mustard and was brought American mustard. I tried to use the knife but it was like some sort of trick knife. The fork would bend with a bit of pressure. Picture attached. The food was pretty poor. The sausages were pretty nasty. I wouldn't usually review a greasy spoon but there are limits. The cutlery was the deciding piece. A pretty unpleasant experience for a Saturday morning.

Been here several times and the staff are 'Geet Canny ' and hard working. Even when busy we didn't have to wait long. The food is superb and excellent value right in the centre of Newcastle in the famed Grainger Market. Looking forward to returning in October.

Visited this busy cafe in Grainger Market. Lovely, friendly staff and nice surroundings. Ordered breakfast - would have been great but ruined for me as it came with a dollop of TINNED tomato. The meal was soaked by the tomato liquid and I couldn't finish it. If I'd known they use tinned, I'd have asked to leave it off but why tinned? They're surrounded by stalls with real tomatoes.

Good little cafe, big range of food at great prices. Proper big cup of tea too. One minor niggle - you need to turn your toaster up a bit! 🙂

We visited this market cafe the last time we were in Newcastle, loved it-then couldn’t remember the name - so on this visit we had to explore around the market until we found it.😹 It was well worth the search as we again had great meals there. The staff are fantastic, friendly and so hardworking; the food is delicious with big portions, piping hot and so much choice. Alongside the main menu there are also some “Specials” - you really are spoilt for choice. My husband had the steak pie with vegetables whilst I opted for liver and bacon in a tasty gravy served with creamy mash and vegetables. I would have loved a dessert but we were just too full! This is a very popular cafe; highly recommended!

Decided to visit Newcastle today and popped in to the Grainger Market. I was a little peckish and spotted this little gem of a cafe. They do traditional meals drinks etc. I ordered the Steak Pie dinner. It was really tasty lots of steak in it. Veg was nice too. Staff were very good and service was quick even though it was busy. I would definitely recommend Cafe one2one.

Remember what cafes used to be like? Well this is one of those. Lovely staff, lovely hot, delicious food with a menu you rarely find these days. Prices are amazing, too, fantastic value-for-money. We need places like this to keep our wonderful Grainger Market going! Everything about today's visit was first-class - thank you and keep up the good work!

Cafe one to one in the granger market is amazing. The staff are so welcoming and the food is amazing. I had the quiche today which was very nice followed by an amazing homemade mint cheesecake. You have to try it to believe how nice it is. When I’m in Newcastle cafe one to one is the only place I go. Would highly recommend this cafe.

Had a Geordie breakfast and my partner had a bacon bun. Very little bacon and what there was of it, was quite fatty (both with the breakfast and the butty) bun was unbutterd. Sausages were bland tasting. On plus side, the egg was good, service was also and food arrived very quickly. Visited here in January and had the same breakfast....was much better then.

Fantastic service and the food was lovely. Came really quick which was great as I was starving, however my girlfriend ordered a breakfast rhat included an egg and chips and the chips were cold and the egg was upside down on the plate. Only thing stopping me giving 5 stars but mistakes happen, other than that absolutely perfect!

A hidden gem along Alley 3 of the Grainger Market, the Geordie breakfast was lovely and a bargain too for £6.50 with a tea or coffee. The staff were welcoming and the the food was brought to the table very quickly. It's what I call a proper traditional café!

I asked for steak pie and chips and was served by the owner of the cafe. I have been a regular customer since lockdown. The price did not match that which was ad vertices. It was o erpriced. I waited twenty five minutes and witnessed four other customers who came after me be served before me. Due to the fact I had another appointment I could not afford to wait any longer so I explained ed my wait to the waitress. The meal was brought but it was mince pie and the vegetables were overcooked. It was a poor meal considering the price. What was frustrating was there were lots of staff in the kit hen and few people in the restaurant. Never again.

Waited 10 minutes at my table while the 4 girls that worked there huddled and chatted and laughed, I waited 10 mins and walked out. Shocking service from a place whos lifeblood depends on good service, someone should have words with their employees.

Had a Geordie breakfast which was massive and tasty. Had it about 11 and then wasn't hungry until dinner at 8.30. Very very good value for money. Cafe seems to have been done up in lockdown too and looks really modern. I really liked the menu wall and big cutlery decorations on the wall.

Great little cafe in the Grainger Market - clearly decorated over the lockdown as everything is clean and modern. Had the full english (Geordie Breakfast) was cracking, loads of everything and at a bargain price. Next table from me had a pie which also looked great. I believe the business is locally-owned - so go here when in central Newcastle!

I have never felt compelled to leave a review before but this place was so horrible I felt like I had to. I have never paid for food that is this low quality before. I got the cheeseburger meal and it tasted like something I would get at the school cafeteria. The beef did not even taste like beef. Terrible. I couldn’t even eat my food it was that bad.

This place started out nice but my last few visits it's been declining. Recently I had the Hot Beef Sandwich and I couldn't even eat the meat since it was as hard as a rock, matter of you could have probably smashed a window with it. These traders in Grainger have been moaning about the Newcastle Christmas Market taking trade away from the Grainger Market and with food that's cooked like that I'm not surprised some are losing custom.

The William IV on High street is a local pub in Gateshead that offer a decent range of beers and was one of several pubs that we visited on a day out around Gateshead. A solid old style boozer that is housed in a traditional pub style building'the interior is again a traditional pub interior with lots of good seating options and an outside area at the back with extra seating options. I don't know why but I adore going to pubs like this as it brings me back to when I first started drinking many years ago and most of the pubs I visited where like this. This pub was very busy when we visited as where most pubs we went to in Gateshead and when here we had a couple of bitters from the John Smith's brewery which were well served and priced. This is another superb local boozer and is well worth visiting as the staff were friendly and they offer a well priced range of beers and is very easy to locate from High Street bus stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of the William IV). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.30. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.30. Sunday-10.00-23.30. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

I recently visited Côte and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious English breakfast. The food was perfectly prepared, with each element cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the creamy scrambled eggs. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a spot to relax and soak in a great vibe, Côte is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
