Cafe On The Severn in Shropshire

Such a lovely spot, really friendly service with delicious well priced food. I had the naan with cream cheese, egg and avocado and it was so tasty! A wonderful view of the river too and lots of books and toys for kids as well.

A warm welcome to a fairly basic but cosy environment. The menu was varied with lots of choice. Staff were happy to make changes to meet my dietary needs and the meal was delicious and good value.

I meet friends in the cafe for coffee after a class at the Gateway. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. The cafe has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the setting is superb, overlooking the river. On occasion when I have had lunch, the food has been excellent. There is always a very tempting selection of food on the specials board as well as the main menu. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This cafe is light and airy with a view of the river and original artwork on the walls. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is homemade, wholesome and hearty. I love tomert friends here and chat.

We had the pleasure of visiting this darling little cafe that overlooks the beautiful river, whilst reminiscing and visiting The Gateway Centre on a blustery February afternoon. Cafe on the Severn was utterly wonderful- excellent customer service with staff who took time to indulge in a chat; a fantastic warm, cosy atmosphere (including fab music); with a wide selection of food and freshly baked goods. We enjoyed a delicious panini and a toastie both served with some tasty accompaniments. We enjoyed pots of hot tea. We were then tempted by a scone with jam and cream as well as the most glorious treacle- coloured, sticky ginger cake adorned with a generous crown of icing. The portions were generous, with food served freshly prepared and welcomingly warm. Many thanks for a pleasurable experience. Needless to say- we will be returning again.

Great cafe serving delicious food and coffee. The menu has so much choice and the homemade cakes were amazing! We received a very warm welcome from the friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!

Called in this week and it was so lovely. Staff were really helpful as I had some dietary needs and nothing felt like too much trouble. The river view was gorgeous in the sun. We'll definitely be back.

Really convenient location and the staff were fantastic and so friendly and helpful. Very accommodating for my friend’s children and good, quick service. Food was good and very reasonable prices.
