This restaurant is excellent! The food is of a very high standard, with a decor to match. Our waiter Justin was friendly, polite and attentive - I would highly recommend Cafe Nucleus.

Lovely slightly quirky venue with unusual decor and a variety of places to eat! Ordered brunch, mine was a full English. Not a huge fan of Cumberland sausages but rest was nice.

Hi. Stopped by with my daughter and granddaughter. First time visitors. Beautiful artistic decor. Loved the very individual seating for each table. We chose to sit on the comfy chairs near the serving counter. Took a few minutes to take in the wonderful colours and array of artwork; much of which appeared to be for sale. We loved the array of varied light fixtures hanging. Especially loved the alternative Christmas songs gently playing. Ordered coffee & cakes. Simply fabulous. Especially liked the look of the ‘festive menu’. Great, timely service. Really attentive staff. Some might say, too good for Chatham, but I was just a visitor to the town. Apologies, if offence cause by my latter. A real gem. Will be returning. #great cappuccino cake. 😊🙏

All I can say is the best customer service I have had in a very long time. I went to Cafe Nucleus Chatham on 04/12/2023, my birthday. Our waitress was so friendly and she really made us feel welcome( I only wish I had got her name). The food was amazing and the service was spot on. There is nothing for me to complain about this place. I have been here three times now and they never disappoint. I recommend Cafe Nucleus to everyone, the food is amazing, the quality is delicious and definitely worth what you pay, and the staff are so welcoming which is so high end for Chatham. I will keep going here always.

Visited here earlier this year with my workplace, during Boing Medway, but I did not have a long lunch break so I did not get a chance to really relax and enjoy. Visited today with my husband and two daughters. The person who greeted us was very pleasant and accomodating. The menu did not have a lot of vegan food but he did his best to help us. All the food was delicious and we felt very welcome. Well worth the visit. Thank you for making my daughters smile, that makes me feel over the moon. Just a shame that we don't visit Chatham often.

An amazing oasis hidden away from the high street. I visited for a work meeting and we had lunch beforehand. The food and drinks were incredible and the staff were attentive, polite and good humoured. The setting was really nice and felt like being on holiday. I really recommend this to anyone who wants a great meal with a great atmosphere. The prices were quite high, but they do some great work with the money they raise.

My Wife and I discovered The Cafe Nucleus Lounge in Chatham, an offspring of the brilliant shop in Rochester’s High Street. With the brilliant and ever customer centric team of Alex and Anthony looking after us, we were welcomed into a Bohemian style vibe, with the sweetest sounds and tunes to harmonise a full restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food simply top class. An outstanding oat milk latte to crown it off and we were instantly rendered disciples of the institution! See you again. And again.

Always a pleasure to visit here. Walk out of the high street and its a completely different environment. It may be a bit hard to find if you dont know the area and its right next to some construction work being done but is worth the effort to look for it. Beautiful surroundings to stop and have a coffee. Always so clean, including the toilets. The staff are just wonderful, friendly, eager to help and can see they all enjoy their work. Yes it is more expensive than other places but they respect their staff and pay them a decent wage and it shows. The food is also much better quality than you're getting anywhere else in Chatham. Worth a visit if you're in the area either for a nice leisurely coffee or an indulgent lunch

Amazing breakfast but what topped it all is the great customer service given by Jake. He made sure we knew what was on the menu and made us feel so welcome. Would definitely come again.

Very cosy, in a quiet part of Chatham tucked away from the rush of the high street. Lovely food, with vegan and gluten free options. Imaginative food in a lovely setting with plants and lots of outside tables with large parasols. Staff were welcoming and efficient. We are cautious coming out of lockdown but we felt very safe. Highly recommended as a special place.

It looks stunning. Lovely place to sit and relax outside. Food is well presented and tasteful. They don't have a wide range of vegan food, but there are some nice options there. They are pricey though. I wasn't best pleased when they charged the average price for a coffee that was half the average size. The glass they put it in is small. It looks fancy but the design is just a small glass inside a normal sized glass, so it doesn't look like you're getting your monies worth. They also charge extra for non-dairy milk. I thought most places stopped doing that now. Apart from the prices being a bit higher, it's good in there.

My whole family were impressed with our dishes and the service.I particularly liked the the eggs Royale which hit the right spot and my children really enjoyed the pancake stack. DO NOT EAT HERE. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Absolutely disgusting. The bacon was rancid making my bagel inediable. The pancakes were an absolute joke, in fact pathetic especially for £7.50. We noted there were lots of microwaves being used .... was that why my bacon was so disgusting I wonder? This place is a classic all style with no substance. Friendly staff but I was still charged for the bagel that I explained was quite frankly the worst thing I have ever eaten.

I have visited here lots of times with friends and family and always tell people to go. The food is affordable, tasty and the menu has a huge range. Felt the need to write a review today after visiting with friends for my Birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make it amazing : with a gift, signed card from staff, bubbles, a happy birthday song and candles in my delicious millionaire's shortbread (with gold leaf).I can't recommend it more. In addition to this the updated outside area is beautifully cosy. It has all the extra touches which make you feel spoilt.

Have never visited this establishment previously and not been absolutely delighted.The service was as usual perfect. My husband and I both had poached eggs on sourdough. The eggs were really good the sourdough not so.Had expected with two poached eggs two slices of toast. However only one slice each maybe a quarter inch thick, it was underwhelming. As we have always enjoyed this establishment we will visit again, but probably not for poached eggs on one slice of sourdough.

Visited Cafe Nucleus on Monday and it was as good as first time.Staff wearing masks, temperature and details taken before entering the premises. Made me feel so safe.We have beautiful wine, I think it was Hush Heath Libertys Bacchus. We were thinking to have Chapel Down Bacchus but lady serving us recommended to try Hush Heath Bacchus and it was amazing. We went for ploughmans, one with Coastal Cheddar Cheese and Kentish ham, and another one Normandy Brie and Kentish ham. They both were well presented, absolutely delicious and we couldn't finish it. We decided to have some desserts and we went for Pecan pie with Kentish Pistachio Ice Cream and Key West Lime pie with Vanilla Ice Cream.We sat outside in the garden and we felt like we are somewhere else but not in Chatham.This place is all about good customer service, good Kentish Wines and good Kentish food. Food was below average at a very high price. We asked for gluten free sandwiches take away and they didn't get the order right. It was a simple sandwich request that had missing ingredients and essentially was two pieces of bread thrown together with a pathetic amount of filling shoved inside (didn't bother to add lettuce). I would not recommend this place - waste of our money.

We have been here several times before Covid. The food has always been outstanding, the staff are so friendly and helpful too. Since Covid we have again been there several times and I feel so safe there. They have just got it so right. Temperature check on arriving. Staff all wear face coverings, tables are cleaned regularly and everything is sterile. Well done to all the staff, look forward to seeing you soon.

Lovely waiting room full of art to enjoy. However didn’t wait too long. I battled with the menu (I am partially sighted) but staff helped me. Settled on Croque smoked salmon. Would not have normally gone for this but it was fantastic! Loved the blend of cheese and fish.

Brunch for two, sitting in a beautiful garden area under the shady branches of tropical trees on a boiling hot day. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, we felt safe, relaxed and well looked after. The poached egg on toast and bacon sandwiches were delicious.

The setting is an absolute delight you could be in Thailand given the scenery, you forget you are in Chatham. The service is always good here. Given the 50% discount our lunch + drinks was £13. Truly amazing.Why then a 3* review not 4*. My wifes Halloumi salad was fantastic but feel that my cheddar ploughmans could have been improved, due to the smallest amount of cheddar I have ever seen in a ploughmans. My heart sank when during our meal two ladies were sat at the next table who then asked for an ashtray. I would definantly recommend this place but maybe avoid the cheddar ploughmans and when being seated ask to be away from any smoking area.

Amazing restaurant in the heart of Chatham Village. An absolute gem! Staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the Canadian breakfast and it was really good. Maple syrup made the dish. I gave it 4 stars simply because the scrambled egg lacked seasoning. Highly recommended

This place is literally like stepping out of Chatham into a teleport and entering into a different world!! The food is so good, service amazing and the place itself is like something beautiful out of Ibiza! You will not believe you were in Chatham! The music in there was some lovely deep house and I could randomly hear harry potter stories being read from their toilets 😄I would recommend this place very highly. I chose this place for brunch to catch up with an old work friend, neither of us had been before but wanted to try it out. We were not disappointed!!I had a full English and my friend had Eggs Hebridean and we both enjoy our food immensely. The staff are very friendly and not intrusive, I can’t stand a place where it feels like the staff are hovering over you all the time. Our table was booked for 11am and we stayed until approx. 13:30 (we had a lot to catch up on ). At no point did we feel like we had overstayed, even when they were getting busy. Thank you, lovely food and comfortable atmosphere.
