Cafe North Lodge in Kensington and Chelsea

Pleasant surroundings especially on a sunny day, on the edge of Brompton Cemetery. I ordered smashed avocado on toast for £7.75. I know it is London but I received one thin slice of bread, the portion was not generous at all. Still hungry!

Very nice location at the North Lodge of Bromption Cemetery. OK coffee and good cakes, at a reasonable price, but don't expect service with a smile from the manager.

Had a lovely coffee and smashed avocado on toast for breakfast before walking around the cemetery. We sat inside, service was quick and friendly.

Lunch and tea. Having to stay local to Chelsea Harbour ,I decided to do a self guided tour of the Brompton cemetery During my 100 out of 200,000 graves I needed stop so Tart of day for lunch and crumbliest scone I've ever had for tea. Poor staff run off their feet. Need a microwave to speed things up. The kitchen is set up as a coffee counter, not a cafe. I am feeling sorry for the staff but they are doing a great job. Food is expensive, but okay for London.

I only wanted a coffee so I did not pay any attention to what was available to eat. The Cafe is immediately to your right as you enter the Cemetery from Old Brompton Rd. There is a pleasant patio outside with scattered seating & 2 rooms inside & toilets. My Americano was good - piping hot & strong. However , despite the fact it was for consumption on the premises , it came in a disposable cup which rather irked me. I sat on the patio & noticed that most drink receptacles were of a similar nature. The only exception appeared to be that China cups were used for the likes of Espresso coffee. My table & a couple of others had used cups etc. on them when I arrived & were not cleared in the 20 minutes that I spent there. Nor were the tables wiped over. The cafe was not particularly busy & the clearing up was a minutes job. Does not leave a good impression.

Primo e unico posto in cui sia riuscito a bere del buon caffè espresso in zona. Personale gentile e disponibile. Location particolare ma degna di nota. Una bella scoperta, ci torneremo senz'altro per fare colazione.

We were at the North Lodge cafe today, looking forward to chicken lunch, soup and coffee as it said on their website. Chicken was not there. The coffee prices were different, it was an outdated menu online. We took 2 coffee, one soup served with bread and butter, and one peach Danish. The coffees was served straight away, about 7 people came after us, and soup came to me only after they were all served. It was tepid, with tepid bread, no butter. When I had earlier on asked the contents of the soup, they only could tell it was mainly celery??? Anyway, when I complained in the end about the butter, the one who served me said why didn't you ask for it?? What an utterly ridiculous attitude. So, if I forget the online menu, I could be served just half the contents of dish I paid for, and they would get away with this!! Unproffessional. Bad service. If you order cappuccino, pl beware you dont get espresso, and have to asked for frothy milk.

I entered the cafe and had absent-mindedly forgotten to put on a mask. I'd just started having a look at the nice pastries on offer when the person behind the counter made some sharp comment about lack of mask. Okay, okay, yes, I was wrong for forgetting to put a mask on, but geez, can people just try to find some way to point it out politely? Hopefully some other time I'll actually get to try this place. Best if luck to them in the meantime.

Perfectly good coffee but the 3 members of staff were rather keen on a good gossip,and were unaware that the rest of the customers were both not interested and actually getting annoyed.it is fairly echoey and strident voices carry far to clearly

A fabulous pit stop and drink while out for a walk. Friendly staff and some tasty treats. A nice place to take five or twenty :)

Second visit this month and didn’t fail to impress. Still needs to find its feet a bit and wear in, to take on the big chains nearby. Only had coffee there, so far, but cakes etc look good. Give it 6 months and the summer months and it’ll be standing room only. Maybe need to think how to configure tables better as you had 1 person taking up a table of 6! Maybe spread tables out a bit, as I’d have gone elsewhere if I couldn’t have sat down.
