Brilliant service with a smile, all staff are great and good conversations from all, very good food, very polite and friendly

Popped in for a quick coffee but just couldn't resist the wonderfully warm Welsh Cakes. The smiles and welcome when we went in, made our day. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. What a fab concept (Google Vale Plus). Love the place.

O.M.G. ... If in Barry, this is THE place to go for the nicest breakfast with the friendliest atmosphere EVER!!! The staff are all lovely and happy to chat and make you feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious, coffee and Hot chocolate so nice and excellent value for money. Do not miss out on this lovely place.

Had to write this review to explain how lovely and friendly this place was. We were welcomed warmly and seved 2 amazing breakfasts. The value for money is great. The people that work there are the best assets The cafe has. We felt there was nothing more they could do for us. Definitely come back again. Thank you x

Cafe No 5 is worth a recommendation just for the best Welsh Cakes ever, but it’s so much more. For its breakfasts, but it’s so much more. Cafe No 5 has customers - you and me - but it also has service users. The service is Vale Plus’s mission. “To provide a centre of excellence for the training of adults with learning difficulties in the Vale of Glamorgan and surrounding areas.” Supervised by Karyn, these service users learn skills and gain qualifications. They do it both front of house and in the kitchen. They do it with exaggerated care but unfailingly, with true warmth and happiness. In a crueller world, they would be written off. Fortunately, at Café No 5, and at Vale Plus’s other ventures, they find a place where they are valued as the wonderful human beings they are.

I have only been to this cafe a handful of times with my Mum, but my Mum visits most days on her own. The food is great, the staff are super friendly, and I am grateful that my Mum has somewhere lovely to go where she is welcomed, can eat well and have a chat with her new friends!

Nice and simple lunch (chilli + nachos). Friendly staff and excellent value for money! I went with a friend whose son works in the café. Busy and relaxed atmosphere. Will be back next time I am in Barry!

Lovely little cafe set right on the seafront at Barry. Simple menu, delicious cakes and good coffee. A big plus, was they serve homemade, gluten free cakes. Friendly staff and quick service. There are chairs outside and blankets provided if you wish to sit out on colder days.

I love Café No 5. Today, on a solo visit, I breakfasted on their delicious eggs florentine. Poached to perfection on spinach and a bagel and covered in hollandaise. Café No 5 is run for the benefit of its workers, a happy and productive band of educationally challenged adults. Special mention must go to James, who welcomes me by name, proudly, on every visit, and to the wonderful manager, Hannah, who clearly loves her job and her staff. She is tender and gentle, but still manages to operate the Café as a great food outlet in its own right.

We really enjoyed our afternoon scone tea. Staff very pleasant and the view was lovely. They also, managed to ommodate my wheelchair, though it wasn’t easy. Clean toilet and disabled access too! Thumbs up!👍🏼

I popped in for a coffee and a light lunch - nothing too calorific as I'm dieting. So nice to have friendly, customer service, the young lady was lovely. I had the fishcake which should have come with a salad dressing, coleslaw, homemade tartare sauce & chips but i asked if I could have a bigger salad and no chips. This was no bother at all, really enjoyed it, huge tasty fishcake and the salad was plentiful, varied and drizzled with balsamic vinegar and she brought 2 wedges of lemon - lush!

Café No 5 is one of those places that make my day whenever I visit. The food and service are superb, with no compromise needed to choose the café for morning coffee or lunch. Their mission is to provide adults with learning difficulties a safe, nurturing space to achieve the dignity which is the right of all humans. They do it with love, tenderness and care while still delivering a top quality café experience. Love you all.

We live nearby and visit the cafe most weeks. The food is always plentiful, beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. Nothing is too much trouble and Hannah will even pop out to get something off the menu when possible. Coffee is always great as in some places it is so bitter. Recently decorated it is bright and cheerful. I would definitely recommend this gem.

I live local to this cafè and often pop in for a coffee and/or lunch with my Mum. We absolutely adore this place. The specials board is always crammed full of gorgeous dishes including great vegetarian choices. Mum and I are both vegetarian and finding nice options is a real treat and hard to find in many cafès. The staff are fabulous and so professional and efficient and the supervisors are wonderful. I love this place and highly recommend it!!

Sin duda recomendamos este café, nos alojamos una noche en barry con mi pareja y queríamos tomar un desayuno antes de ir a casa. Tuve huevos benedict y mi compañero tenía un desayuno caliente era tanto absaloutley delicioso! Los precios están genial también. El personal es fantástico, muy amable y atento. Una cosa que sobresalió fue también la limpieza de la cafetería y el personal. Un encantador ambiente allí :) Sin duda volveremos! 5 estrellas de nosotros

A menudo ir a la playa en isla Barry al perro a pie, podrá disfrutar de una taza de café en nuestro camino. Habiendo estado en Café 5 muchas veces hemos sido frustrado por tener que esperar mucho tiempo. Incluso cuando no hay mucho de una cola para llevar parece las edades antes de un miembro del personal se da cuenta que alguien está allí! Café es bueno pero recomiendo tener un miembro de personal que está haciendo Disfrútelo cafés. Cada vez personas han permanecido detrás de nosotros fuimos a 5 minutos.

Nos detuvimos aquí para tomar un té helado de rápido después de un paseo por la playa. Teníamos un asiento encantador fuera y tomamos la vista mientras esperamos. Tuvimos que esperar un rato, pero el personal era obviamente trabaja muy duro y lo más rápidamente posible- estaban ocupados con el mero número de personas que visitan y nos pidió disculpas no nos importó.

Café no 5 es un proyecto de Valeplus, un servicio que ofrecen oportunidades para las personas con discapacidades. Hacen un trabajo increíble, proporcionando trabajo donde normalmente podrían ser una oportunidad pero aún así competir con lo mejor de calidad. El servicio es tan amable como ningún sitio en el que me he estado y la comida deliciosa. Recomiendo en especial los huevos escalfados y espinacas de bagel, que siempre es perfecto. Su panadería también es excelente si los pasteles son más su cosa.

I don't care I love it lol...Everytime when I'm going to the Cafe N5 I meet people, and I speaking. Very friendly place.

We hold a regular coffee morning here, sponsored by Race Equality First, every month, and the café never fails to delight, whether it be the warm welcome, the immediate offer of my usual double espresso or the delicious food.

Every time I visit this lovely cafe I am not disappointed. Excellent, friendly service with a smile, and lovely food, you couldn't ask for more.Today with friends we tried the root vegetable soup, a good size portion and very tasty. Followed by a coffee and one of the lightest Welsh cakes I have had in a long time.

This was the first time we had been here, and we were happy with the selection of food available on the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious

Freshly cooked food and specials on the menu daily. Homemade pies are excellent as are the breakfasts. The staff are friendly and helpful.

First visit today to this newly opened cafe on the High Street. Very friendly and efficient service with a good choice on the menu. Also look out for the specials board which boasts some unusual and tempting offers. This cafe has also been awarded a 5 star food hygiene award, they should be very proud of their hard work.I look forward to my next visit and will recommend this little cafe to friends and family
