Fabulous breakfast, fairly priced and dog friendly. Lady who runs it was lovely and was great with our dog, giving her a couple of treats.

Trying to pick from the myriad of cafes in Berwick was quite challenging. However the offer of toastie and soup for £6.50 was too good. Small business and very clean and tidy. Friendly helpful and lovely homemade soup and toastie. Nice hot chocolate too. Dog friendly and they have a lovely resident dog who is happy to speak to you.

Was only in Berwick-upon-Tweed for the day and needed a dogfriendly eatery for lunch and saw the owner's dog looking at us across the street from behind the door. That made our decision easy where to eat. Massively impressed with the food on offer and the friendly owner (and his dog). Their brocoli and Stilton soup is the best we've every had, and the carved ham, cheese and onion toasties were delicious and very reasonably priced. Recommended.

Visited as a family of 4 during our October half term break away. Only a small cafe but we managed to get seated at one of the 4 tables. I ordered the vegetable soup of the day which came with 3 big chunks of bread. My husband had a panini and my daughters had a bacon bun and an egg bun. Although the man was rushed off his feet and having to turn people away the food was delicious and he gave a friendly service. If we visited Berwick again in the future we would certainly return here.

We last called in to this charming little place before the first lockdown and hoped it was still going. Pleased to see that it is and what a great lunch they serve. My wife and I had soup of the day (a delicious chunky vegetable) and a home made cheese scone. Daughter had a Ploughman's lunch, which was generously portioned with four different cheeses and a selection of chutneys and relishes. With a drink each and a portion of lovely coconut tart (shared, but we wanted to try it as it looked great) it was well under£25. The cafe is small with one table seating six, three seating four and two (one outside) for two people. To make it even more impressive, dogs are welcome. The owner is friendly, efficient and polite, the cafe an absolute gem and fully deserving five stars

Just dropped in for lunch on a day out. We ordered chunky vegetable soup with crusty bread and I had my eye on an almond cake to finish. The soup arrived in large bowls and was pretty full with three enormous chunks of crusty bread and butter on the side. The soup was almost thick enough to stand your spoon in upright and tasted superb. I was so filled up with the soup that I didn't have room for anything else so the cake was promptly forgotten. Two soups, a coffee and a tea was just over ten pounds, best value for money we've had in a long time. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. Five stars all the way.

Friendly service. Very friendly. Coffee and cakes arrived quickly. Very nice fresh ground coffee with spices and fruit evident. Very fresh beans. Clean and hygienic. Food was fresh and tasty. Cannot recommend this enough for anyone in Berwick. You will not get better. Add in cracking value and what is there not to love here? Previous 1 star review obviously went to a different place as the comments bear no resemblance to the reality of this gem.

Saw the reviews and thought we would try it. It did not disappoint. The lovely gentleman was waiter, chef, washer upper. We ordered the ploughman's lunch and wow, it was delicious. Our daughter enjoyed her toasties too and ate the lot. We would definatley recommend, and we will be back before we go home. The cakes looked divine, so we bought some for our tea. The helpings were huge and we had no room left. But I'm pretty sure they will be as tasty as everything else we had.
