Clean, Calm atmosphere. Satisfying coffee, thank you.

Claimed my 'free' drink which was great. Used my own cup so I got another stamp. Bit quiet upstairs.

As a regular customer and a fan of your luxury caramel latte and luxury mocha, I was disappointed by my recent experience. My friend and I ordered these drinks, which we look forward to, but unfortunately, the service and drink quality did not meet expectations. After requesting extra whipping cream for my latte, the barista made the drink in a way that caused it to spill over the edges, making it difficult to enjoy. Despite noticing this, he still served it to me in its messy state. When I mentioned the issue, he replaced the mug, but by then, the coffee's quality was already compromised and he informed us there was no whipping cream left for the Mocha which was disappointing as we paid in advance for that as well. As a loyal customer, I would suggest that if they are running low on ingredients, the staff inform customers in advance. My friend had been hesitant to return due to a previous experience, and this visit unfortunately reinforced their concerns.Our entire mood was ruined and didn’t drink the coffee and left with anger.

Popped in for a quick coffee but didn’t enjoy it. The young lady at the counter was nice, said it wasn’t her usual store so she asked the chap next to her a question she couldn’t answer. He answered her in an offhand and hostile way, which seemed to be the attitude of the whole store. My table had clutter and dirty cups from the previous person which weren’t cleared the whole time I was there. I went up quite a few steps to get to the loo only to find you need a code, so I had to go all the way down again, get the code and all the way up again which was a real pain. I had asked about the loos so they should have given me the code then. The whole experience came with a ‘can’t be bothered’ attitude from management.

The place is dirty, the furniture is damaged, the service is rude

Prices are not cheap (like everywhere in these parts) but the food was good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They engaged in conversation with you asking about your day etc. The staff on the bar were great at recommending items on the menu whether it was food or drink to help you make a decision if you were unsure what to get. The fact that the store is dog friendly makes the store a good place for dog owners and dog walkers to come with their pooch and grab a drink or bite to eat. I would definitely recommend coming to the store whether it is with friends, family or by yourself.

My cappuccino was great! Unfortunately the staff are very focused on their chat and not on the customers. The coffee bar & machines, tables, floors and bathrooms are absolutely FILTHY 🤮! The parts that you can see behind the scenes look even worse.

Such friendly service and great coffee.

Nice relaxed place for a coffee on a busy road. Can usually find a seat downstairs. Maybe a little slow cleaning tables but not a major problem.

If you want to start the day stressfully, you are in the right place. I drank coffee here few morning since 1 month. People who don't like their jobs work. I won't go again. It's a complete nightmare!!

Terrible experience, when I went in there was 1 person in the queue in front who was being ignored by the staff member who was in and out from behind the till, then once they had been served and left I was now waiting at the counter, with no response from the staff member who again kept disappearing and stood waiting for 5 minutes I walked out and went to a local independent coffee shop round the corner - wish I had done this sooner. Would not recommend this Nero.

I had to edit the previous review, because they were on their A-game today. Good drinks, good atmosphere and amazingly swift service! I highly recommend having their Frappe Cremes, they're really good!

Every time different quality. Last time this morning, the guy was very rude. He did a mistake when making a dring and was almost offended that he had to do it again. Very rude bahaviour to the customer.

I love this cafe. Favourite put of all the choices. The food and drink is good. I first went in there many years ago for a hot chocolate because I tried Starbucks hot coco and it qas horrible. Cafe nero on the other hand makes lovely hot chocolate. Also I recommend the toasted chicken and bacon toasty.

Quiet, vegan and vegetarian options and open until 6pm everyday

Tasty drinks, cozy place and friendly staff. The interior, music and atmosphere in Caffe Nero are always nice and pleasant. This store is not an exception. Quick service and well-prepared/presentable coffee. A lot of seating place inside, including upstairs. Great selection of bites and drinks. I recommend.

Their coffee, service quality and perfect atmosphere are not comparable to others. The music matches the week's day and the day's hour. The customer service is excellent, and the price is standard. I just wish there were more power sockets on the second floor.

too crowded on the weekend I visited. Not a good place for study or date

An absolute crap-hole dump!! Individual serving whilst chatting to another one from another Cafe Nero who is also ill mannered and looks a complete sight. Gave me cow’s milk when I asked for soya, and when I said:-“If you gave that to somebody who was allergic, they could die.” He was defensive and rude. Absolute unprofessional and such a dump - they and Costa are the absolute worst. Get lost. No more coffee shops for me, I will make my own tea at home.

Very nice staff and great selection. The coffee and cakes tasted very good and not artificial. We would love to come back 😊

Average Nero near the Grafton Center.

Too late to do a review. My friend and myself visited the cafe on the first day of 2024. I have a student discount, so I like to buy their coffee and other beverages, The staff are very nice. This time I ordered a cup of chocolate with soya milk and my friend ordered a cup of latte. It is suitable for meeting with friends or studying.

Standard Caffè Nero! They are always very dirty - cleaning is not a strong point. The grafton one can be a joke sometimes as the employees are not trained properly. I ordered a cortado and I got some strange drink, because the "barista" didn't know what it was or how to make it!

Not very pleasant, quite dirty inside and coffee doesn’t taste right.

Absolutely awful, cold food slow service and coded toilets that didn't work with the code given! Rubbish, no wonder it was more or less empty! Spoke with the manager who couldn't get a....

Never ever ever any vegan cream, unsure as to why it’s on the menu

Plenty of seating, friendly staff.

Closes far too soon - and at least one employee seems desperate to finish even earlier: This is probably the only Café Nero in Cambridge, which closes at 6.30pm (instead of 8pm!) on a Saturday evening. But for some employees that is not early enough: All seating upstairs was closed around 6pm, which means people have to squeeze in the small ground floor seating area half an hour before closing time. On top of that, one female employee was running around reminding us of the closing time, although we had just got our coffee. My suggestion: Take any other Café Nero in town until this one adapts its opening times and customer service or closes for good. Even Poundland right opposite does not close before 7pm, and I have not seen them closing an aisle or two before that.

Staff have no respect for service animals, petting them and distracting them. Stairs dirty going upstairs, need a code to access toilet & both the female staff working on shift had attitudes. Didn’t stamp loyalty card either, handed back with no stamps ?

Good food and coffee. Place is a little tired

Appalling experience and food and wifi was down (for both of my devices). If you go upstairs without asking for the toilet code you can't use the toilets without going downstairs and then back up again. The £4.5 panini tasted awful, I make much nicer cheese toasties for less than 30p at home. Never again.

Never liked cafe nero. Wants to be Italian but it's not. Coffee is a bit meh. At least based on my experience. Should try to be more genuinely Italian, even in the way they call their products. For example, the new Tostati in the plural form is a name that makes no sense.

Pretty bad coffee, the beans were extremely over roasted. The guy making coffee was unpleasant, not rude or anything just seemed to have an attitude for no reason.

I stood at the till for several minutes waiting to be served, while the 2 staff members were gossiping about their colleagues. The chai latte I eventually received was poorly made, it was weak and got progressively stronger until the last 3rd was undrinkable, indicating that it wasn’t stirred at all. To top it all off the wifi wasn’t working, and I had intended to work there for a couple of hours. Overall, a disappointing experience here.

Toasty poorly prepared. Both slices given to me stuck together with napkins underneath stuck to it also. This is not the first time but coffee good. It may be because they have reduced the filling and everthing gets squashed.

Walked out. Queued for ages. Got to counter with my toasty and he said the couldnt toast it as machine wasnt working. He was the only barista serving while one spent 10 mins talking to a customer.

The new blackforest cake is excellent!

Only 2 serving one was training the one who was in charge couldn’t care less stressed to hell.waited in line for over 15 minutes terrible service or should I say lack of.will ever go back.over priced food.

Good Nero's, usual coffee, interior a little worn in places but otherwise comfortable. Often a queue.

I love this place. The coffee is the best in Cambridge. The manager and the staff are lovely. I strongly recommend this place.

Shop was very clean and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved my iced caramel latte and my bacon roll.

Cafe Nero kings parade is busier than at the Grafton centre, and feels a bit more cramped. Its location is better but its not as good in feel as Grafton Cafe nero. Coffee still ok and staff still helpful but its a bit more rushed and higher pressure.

CAffe NerSLOW Every time I come here they’re training and training and never serving. Pop 50 yards down the road for an aroumi coffee which is quicker, tastier and better customer service

You know what to expect, good coffee and nice atmosphere. On the plus side they are dog friendly in all UK. Well done Caffè Nero!

Slow service and disappointing flat white.

Amazing coffee great service by Kallum considering it was busy Monday BH still had the same treat as always, Kallum made my day very polite & very quick & I enjoyed my coffee . Just to say thank you so much Kallum very hard to please every1 individually but you all doing great job specially on busy hot day. This is to St. Andrews Cambridge caffe Nero .

Apparently, when their hours change to close earlier, the only communication technology available to them in 2022 is a single sheet of toilet paper in the window. Updating Google or their website or anything is too complicated.

Would have been 5 stars but I’ve seen 3 people almost trip on the top step going up to the second floor. Otherwise amazing !

Very clean and well present coffee shop. Lovely different coffees, tea and other hot drinks. You can also get cold drinks accompanied by snacks. Served by friendly helpful staff. Good location before entering the shopping centre.

Dirty dishes all over the place. No outlets near tables to use.

Took daughter in law there for coffee usually prefer Cafe Nero to other well known chains. OMG the place is disgusting. The chairs are ingrained with dirt tables sticky. Floors filthy. The toilets up the “god knows when last cleaned” stairs were the worst I have ever been in. The tiles and pipe work were thick with grime. The soap dispenser was off the wall on the floor, everything was so very mucky. How do they continually get away with it. The staff are the saving grace of all these places polite helpful and probably very underpaid. I have written to their head office awaiting a reply. No excuse for bad cleaning.

Caffe Nero is consistently excellent in Cambridge. One of their branches in town is particularly good. I'm not telling which one, you'll have to try them all to find out 😊

Cafe Nero in Kings Parade in Cambridge was the best Cafe Nero not Market st either way they are the best coffee place in the country and very accommodating and helpful. Great atmosphere, people & coffee

This is my favourite Coffee Shop by the Grafton Centre. I know it's a chain, but it has very comfortable seating. I really prefer small independent places, but for a Chain, this is a nice place.

This Cafe is in my opinion the best Cambridge has to offer. Such friendly staff coupled with top quality coffee ☕

One of the better chains. This instance is conveniently located, reasonably sized and has a few outside tables.

Make a very good black amercano and because they use a smaller cup than most places its actually strong enough for my taste.

Very friendly service, and good anti-Covid measures. Loved the festive vegan panini, but especially loved that the mint hot chocolate could be vegan too!

Today I was at nero cafe having a coffee with a friend from 4.30pm until 6.05. Before we leave, i needed to use the toilet. The staff told me, "I am sorry, we are closed,i have locked the toilet " even though he never let Us know that he is closing and there were still costumers in the shop. He rejected me to use the toilet even though I paid for my coffee and its a natural need. I will defenitly not going back there. 👎👎👎👎👎Please train your staff to be more polite and respect the basic needs of people.

Experienced no issues when ordering an iced latte and americano coffee during a recent visit. Very straightforward and the coffee shop was adhering to the necessary measures put in place given the times we are living in. Fair’s fair.

Good place to meet up friends over coffee ☕ However wish the toilets were checked up more frequently, often heavily smokey inside by secret smokers. On one occasion even the smoke alarm was set off everyone had to be out of the building 😣

Cafe Nero - located opposite Cambridge Railway - station is the obvious place to grab a coffee and snack whilst you wait for a train or a person to arrive. Obvious, but not a good choice. It is certainly conveniently located and because the station has nowhere to sit down and have a coffee - unless you can get through the barriers to the platforms, it seems a good choice. It isn't. I queued for about ten minutes to get served and most of the tables were taken up with students on laptops who looked like they spent all day there. And it was expensive too. Over £3.00 for a large cappuccino - served with harassed indifference, frankly. I rarely write such poor reviews - but I do not like places that take your trade for granted. My advice would be to try somewhere else.

I very rarely write a negative review and frequent Cafe Nero quite often because it is usually a lovely coffee shop especially the one in King's Lynn. However, my family and I were not at all happy with our visit to the branch in Fitzroy Street today. The place was littered with used coffee cups and seemed dirty and untidy. The ladies' toilet was described by my daughter as 'filthy and vile and quite unusable'. We ordered two drinks which took ages to make and then the assistant started to make drinks for people who were behind us in the queue without even finishing our order. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

We visited this place for a cup of coffee and a biscuit. The coffee wasn’t too bad but the mug that I was given was dirty. There were dirty marks around the edge of the mug. We won’t be going there again. Generally the place could do with a good cleanup.
