An extremely friendly welcome at the end of an afternoon, by two lovely ladies. Visiting Sherborne with my husband, we were asked if we would like our tea in mugs or in a pot. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt very welcome and would thoroughly recommend this Cafe Nero.

Coffee taste amazing and pricing is reasonable. Clean surfaces.

Best place in Sherborne to get a hot chocolate. Staff are always friendly, hot chocolates are delicious and it’s generally a really nice place.

Always get good service and coffee

This was the only place open to grab a bite to eat besides the Half moon which we were already staying at and so planned to have dinner in. So we popped in for a quick bite and to warm up. We had a nice toastie and shared some tomato soup. This was very pleasant. It was cosy and had a nice atmosphere. However, I don't know if it was just the holiday but they seemed very short staffed which meant the service was just a bit awkward. The staff were pleasant don't get me wrong. But when being served they seemed to insist on taking stuff to peoples tables even though there was a big queue and there was loads of used cups, plates and trays around which I needed to move to get a seat. This did not really bother myself and my company but it did seem a bit odd. Perhaps on a less hectic day for them I would have given them a full 5 stars but on that day it just seemed too disorganised and was a bit off putting. But otherwise it was an enjoyable and cosy bite to eat out of the cold.

Wonderful atmosphere, lovely staff, great food

I love Caffe Nero, I like the dark and wood panelling of the cafe which always gives an atmosphere of warmth and the staff are very welcoming. Price wise... it's pretty expensive, at £3.70 for a large cappuccino, I can buy a jar of coffee for less but that's not the point.

Absolutely awful. Store is dirty. Dead flies in the windows that have been there for weeks. Dirt swept under the furniture, comfy chairs full of crumbs, staff seem to think it's a social club rather than a workplace. Too much talking, not enough customer service!! Toilets not cleaned yet the chart on the doors always signed off, yet staff have been witness literally walking in the loo, signing the chart and closing door. Tables never cleared or cleaned very often. Around the coffee machine etc always covered in coffee grounds etc. Never looks clean. Not a welcoming atmosphere. After several visits, we will not return again!!!!!!!!

Josh is a great worker. Was absolutely lovely to me and my mother and even bought over our drinks. Hats off to that young man.

Some people roll their eyes at coffee house chains, but at the end of the day you know what you are getting and as someone who is lactose intolerant I feel I can order safely and reliably when in a chain store. Cafe Nero in Sherborne is nestled into the high street, with large window seating it’s the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by, or you can sit further back to enjoy your coffee and chat with a friend, the seating arrangements are varied a good selection of chair types to suit most people. On a hot day there is is outside seating too. The staff are very friendly and there is good banter with the regular customers. The only thing that lets them down is the cleanliness, my coffee and pain au chocolate were lovely however the cutlery was not! I asked for clean cutler and was given a another set however, the spoon didn’t look like it had been washed at all. I used my knife to stir my coffee🤦🏼‍♀️

We have used this coffee house on a number of occasions and spent plenty of money drinking inside and on takeaways. We attended today with our two small dogs which are very well behaved. Sat drinking coffee when we were approached and warned by the young Manageress that if our dogs barked again we would be asked to leave. One of the dogs had barked once at another dog who came in. if the Manager had politely spoken to us I wouldn't have minded , but to be a customer spoken to like a twelve year old in front of every one was very embarrassing, it could have been handled better.. Sadly Caffe Nero in Sherborne will not get our custom again.

Always a friendly atmosphere, the staff are pleasant and remember the regulars and their orders! Yes, there are supply issues now and again, but even major supermarkets have those... Oh, and the coffee is great!

Always good here, in fact one of the best Nero's I have visited. The staff are always pleasant & friendly. Would recommend. A+

This Nero branch runs out of cups, spoons & cream on a daily basis. They rarely want to wash up or order sufficient quantity of ingredients. Staff are also quite rude & instead of telling customers before paying that they ran out, they just serve things like hot chocolate without cream- but charge full price & then get angry with customers for not wanting it without cream. It’s a fairly basic ingredient 😂 One would expect management to learn & adapt to demand but Instead of ordering enough, they continue ordering too little & just run out on a daily basis. There’s no other Nero branch quite like it. I have given up coming here & go to other places now… UPDATE: To be fair to this branch I visited a fifth time a few months later- hoping they had changed - but nope. No where else runs out of key ingredients so why can’t the manager of this branch cope? Furthermore, staff neglected to replace their light bulbs, resulting in a flashing strobe effect across the store for months on end. As a result, there is an autistic boy crying & the rest of the customers are suffering. This is particularly unfair on those with disabilities like autism or epilepsy as they essentially cannot use this branch. It is apparent that the management is apathetic and does not prioritise inclusivity or take care of the place. Furthermore, they ran out of spoons so we couldn’t eat the cream on our hot chocolates. 😂😂😂 it’s never ending An elderly customer had to struggle to the counter to explain to staff that they can’t run a coffee shop without spoons- staff reacted in a dramatic manner, then put all the spoons on one customers saucer for them to have to share out between everyone in the shop 😂 Tables all over the place not cleared while staff socialise with each other.. etc. (See pic) Things to improve: - replace bulbs - maintain store properly - order enough ingredients (eg cream) - ensure staff keep tables clean - do not let staff get angry with customers - ensure staff do washing up so as never to run out of cutlery (spoons) or cups This branch has such nice furnishings & vibe let down by being a complete nightmare. All unnecessarily caused by ridiculous & apathetic staff.

Fabulous place and service: the baristas know your order after a couple of visits and work expeditiously and politely under pressure ( it is trightly v popular). There are numerous spots in Sherborne to sip the caffeinated bean but this is the place to go- cannot imagine plonking myself anywhere else. Many thanks to Josh and his coruscating cohort!

Coffee was excellent as usual in Caffè Nero but had to have cardboard cups in the cafe. Asked for the Brazilian blend but was told Coffee grinder was not working.

I went in today with my 2 toy poodles as have done many times before. As I was sitting down getting one ready to go on my lap and the other in the dog buggy, i was told I wasn't allowed to sit my 4lb teacup dog on my lap. No part of her was touching the table or anything else,just me. I was told they would have to go on the floor. The floor was very dirty and there was no way I was putting them on that. I sat the tiny one on my lap and got some dirty looks but nothing said. I have seen lots of dogs sat on blankets on the sofas so don't see the problem. Needless to say I won't ever bother going in there again!!!

I'm a local business owner (Red Panda Eco Shop) and they keep me supplied with excellent hit chocolate. Good service too.

The worst neighbours in the world. They get deliveries at insane hours of the night, extremely noisy and running their engines and refrigeration units for ridiculously long times. What part of 'conservation area' do they not understand? We are not allowed double glazing, but they get to yell, swear, run their engines and pollute our homes in the name of delivering their cakes and drinks? Pick any other coffee place in Sherborne. I mean anyone. I guarantee it is better than this rubbish chain store, where the staff don't care and the product is worthless.

Plenty of seating inside but also has outdoor seating available with views of Sherborne School Quadrangle to the rear. Staff polite, friendly and attentive and recognise the regular customers, just a shame a few of the longer-standing ones have left more recently. Great location and near some of the town centre car parks.

Usually a costa fan but when there ice machine failed I thought I'd try Nero but unfortunately it's very bad and here's why. Dirty behind the counter literally powder and mess everywhere. Frappe has a stupid timed ice grinding machine which the staff trust to much which results in you getting big chunks of ice followed by a silly small straw which is useless because of all the ice getting stuck in it. I have never had any toppins on my drinks so attention to detail is very poor. I paid for a whats meant to be a nice frappe but all I get is a chunky ice milkshake which is difficult to drink also very plain taste not much of a party in your mouth. If you think of complaining to customer support all I can say is good luck with that I complained with photo evidence and 2 weeks got nothing so I messaged again and still nothing. Very bad company who do not care about there customers and the look of there business. My advice is run fast and run far straight to costa....much better drinks and service, online support is much better as they have always treated me with care and respect. I gave you enough time café nero to get back to me!!!

Good hot coffee and when revisiting the counter the wonderful staff member even remembered our order. We are not local and the first time we have visited here and made to feel welcome and valued. Haydon Tate is a real credit to Caffe Nero and an asset to the Sherborne store.

Scrumptious banana bread a charming secluded garden but this place needs a good clean ESPECIALLY in the disabled bathroom check on the soap level.

Usually really good and great service. However weekend girl who worked there kept screaming really loudly and gave me a cold panini otherwise I think it's great.

Shocking customer service. Walked in just now with my 8 year old son. There were 2 servers and one guy behind the counter. Not once did they break their conversation to look at us. They COMPLETELY ignored us and we stood there for a long time. Utter disgrace how they treat their customers. We walked out in disgust.

Popped in with a friend after work and had a chocolate milkshake complete with fresh cream on top - absolutely fab! Not a coffee drinker and in the very hot weather did not want any hot drinks, good choice of chilled drinks on the menu yet settled for the chocolate milkshake - highly recommended. Young, happy team in Nero at the moment. Clearly enjoying their jobs - nice upbeat atmosphere.

A standard Nero coffee shop. Good coffee and nicely flavoured breakfast tea. Decent selection of cakes and treats. Very busy Friday afternoon, appeared to be only one member of staff working behind the counter. Poor chap was rushed off his feet preparing drinks - surely not only one member of staff working??

I'm so glad I could grab a coffee even for takeaway. Hopefully everything goes back to normal soon. The coffee was lovely btw. Cheers.

Josh, Hayden, Gemma and team are awesome! Make buying my daily flat white or chai an absolute delight! Great fun. Plus a nice big space in Sherborne to conduct meetings and interviews or for some head space. Try the seasonal 'pigs in blankets' Christmas toastie... It's awesome!

We always pop in here for hot drinks when we are in Sherborne. The standard of tea and coffee is good. The seating is comfy and there are tables at which people can work or low coffee tables for those not needing to work. The pictures are interesting and the place is clean. But what makes this café special is that you always get a friendly welcome from whomever is on duty. The staff remember you from previous visits and nothing is too much trouble. The only reason I have not given an excellent rating is the air conditioning: this is very fierce and we always choose our table carefully so as not to be blasted with cold air. It's overpowering even on hot days.

Friendly, helpful staff and a very positive service experience. However the lighting was all wrong - spot lights pointing in all the wrong directions, either too bright in your face or too dark because pointing away from the table. Music was also too loud on arrival but staff turned it down without a fuss when asked. The biggest drawback for me was the decaf coffee was really not very pleasant - but this is not the fault of the store...
