Cafe Nero in Brighton and Hove

Sándwiches y bebidas bastante agradables pero mesas sucias, polvo / suciedad espeso en zócalos y repisas. Piso sucio. Como estaba ocupado y no quería hacer cola de nuevo, limpié la mesa yo mismo con gel de mano y servilletas de papel. Dejé de ir en cualquier Café Nero poco después de pandemia ya que noté que, como cadena, no eran buenos limpiando. Lamento mi decisión de ir al Brighton hoy.

bebidas tardaron una eternidad que luego fueron ligeramente calientes en el mejor de los gerente grosero, opciones deslucidas. para una empresa que sobrevive de ser menos de un paseo entonces costa esta es una oferta única

Had 45 mins before starting work nearby at 6pm. Glad to find this place open for somewhere to have a coffee and cake. Is their policy to only give drinks in paper cups in the last hour of the day. Why? Surely there is time at the end of the day for washing up the few cups and plates from the handful of customers there? Had my cake out of a cardboard box too! Tasted all okay but not quite the relaxing 40 mins I’d been after. We were loudly told the cafe was closing in 30 mins. Then the toilets ….at 5.35! Very clear from the lead staff member they want to get off quickly. Do CN not allow staff any time for clearing up at the end of the day. Shabby!! Wouldn’t bother again.

The tables had not been wiped/cleaned: their 2nd customer of the morn. The seating is worn-out and needs repair. The heating was not on. The back stairway leading to the toilets not swept or washed. Women's toilets still out of order. Male toilet generally uncleaned and dirty. Please see photos. The postive is their coffee, and their one staff member on duty.

Not been to a cafe Nero for years but used to love the coffee there. Coffee still good but the place was filthy - I did not want to put my bag on the floor. Looks like it’s been neglected over a period of time, tables, windows, floors and some signage was filthy - yuk!

Coffee excellent and staff excellent and due to my disability they took the coffee to my table, the staff are very helpful

Friendly staff and usual Cafe Nero standards - decent cleanliness, well-stocked and fresh food. Coffee was excellent too.

Veldig god kaffe, ble god og mett av rundstykke med bacon. Sentralt beliggende og hyggelig betjening.

Although it’s nice to have a team of staff who clearly get on, it is rather irritating when all you want is a flat white to go and two staff members are putting the world to rights by ordering their own food and drinks whilst the other colleague does all the work. The flat whites were great though so can’t fault the coffee.

I call in here on my regular visits to Brighton, the location is good, the staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much for them.

I love Chai Tea and drink them all the time in the USA. I've tried many in coffee shops in Europe and really haven't been happy with them. This I believe was the best I've ever had! This place also serves coffee, scones with clotted cream, etc. Has Wi-Fi, etc.

Sore head and tired eyes needed a coffee, and with cafe Nero always my choice for coffee chains, cafe Nero had a perfect place to watch people from the window. With the world going by on a mild January morning, the coffee was at the great standard you would expect.

I really enjoyed the coffee there and there are seats outside that you can also smoke..i really enjoyed it too!

Pour un breakfast ou un brunch c'est tout à fait convenable. On y perd l'esprit anglais pour un lieu assez impersonnel, mais les viennoiseries sont fraiches et bonnes.

Nice coffee, however glass provided for cold drink disgusting,not only badly scratched but actually dirty.When politely pointed out I was told new glasses on order ,this gives no excuse for dirty ones meanwhile! The toilets were not pleasant experience ,given it was only 11.00am they had definitely not be cleaned from previous day.

It was sat afternoon, the toilets were disgusting and they had not been cleaned ( confirmed by the checklist too) It's not an excuse you were busy. Totally disgusting and unforgivable. I have pictures but they are too horrible to post. Sort yourselves out.

Came in here to sit down to wait for someone. I ordered a soya latte which they got right (a lot of places I have to check and it turns out they forget to use the soya). The coffee was lovely and I sat at the back of the shop where there is additional seating and I sat in a great big comfy chair!

Love Nero, but even with the lower rear deck is tight with a family. Cracking service nonetheless... will return naturally...

Not much of a room inside, but cosy and their coffee is very good.Excellent service from a very friendly staff.

Visited for a coffee in the morning on a Saturday. They were busy but the staff were really accommodating and friendly.

Tuve que parar aquí una noche después de sentir mal con un amigo. Tuve que usar el baño y el personal fue bastante atento. La camarera me ofrecieron un poco de agua y me senté fuera un poco. Bastante decepcionado de que nadie salió a preguntar cómo me fue más tarde o preguntar si yo pago cualquier café, comida, o podría llamar su marido en un móvil o una ambulancia. No es una experiencia agradable de Nerón.

I am a great fan of Cafe Nero and use all of their outlets in Brighton and Hove , the coffee and food is very good and the staff are always friendly and from time to time you even get a discount if you use amex , my problem is that in almost all of their places you get people using the seating areas as office space often sitting there with a free cardboard cup of tap water when people are waiting for a table to sit down with their eat in food and coffee , I have even observed people getting job interviews , if cafe Nero is to continue giving free internet access its time to move the lingering people on and give priority paying customer , or do away with free internet .

Busy small cafe with varied style seating, Italian cafe very serious about their coffee. For me the coffee came quick but it was warm and quite bitter. A robust coffee with undertones of treacle not the best but most certainly not the worst. Their patisseries just delicious fresh, flavoursome and enticingly moorish. Recommend for a quick pit stop.

Staff is very friendly and really helpful. The carrot cake was amazing and it was nice with the americano coffee.

Mi esposa y yo disfrutamos de café regular aquí por un largo tiempo. Es fácil conseguir una silla de ruedas y la salida, los servicios higiénicos son buenas, y el café es excelente. Sin embargo, como afirmara en el mostrador debido a ser duros de oído no me fascinan a volver, de vergüenza, he recogido mi esposa desde la mesa y a la izquierda para tomar café en otro sitio.

Yo estaba en Brighton para el día, así que decidimos almorzar en el Café Nero. Hay una buena selección de sandwiches, wraps y pasteles junto con personal amable conversador. Decidí comer dentro, que estaba limpia, era cómoda y acceso a Wifi. Si estoy en la zona de nuevo sin duda llamar.

A lovely staff with quick service and wheelchair access. Music slightly too loud and some customers really making too much noise but a good stop off for a quick refresher.

Lovely coffee and poppy and lemon muffin. The staff were very friendly and jokey. It was busy but we managed to get a table by the window so we could watch the world go by.

We popped in for a coffee to warm up and were warmly greeted by the barista who served us great coffee. It was a welcoming pit-stop and there is plenty of seating at the back of the cafe too.

We stopped here for a quick lunch no arrival in Brighton. Despite being Saturday lunchtime we were served quickly and found a nice seat in the window to watch the colourful life of Brighton pass by!!

I had a mocha with extra cream , which was amazing so the barista knew what she was doing (I think was a spanish lady) and overall a good experience.

Was actually in the Western Road / Preston St branch just to grab a coffee and check emails . Really nice coffee and great wifi coverage . But pretty unsure about the people vaping inside . That's the downside for me .

Below average coffee/tea experience. Dirty floor cramped conditions, appalling toilets. Tea came in a cup with a teabag and nowhere to put it so the table got messy.

All good here and always get a great coffee and sandwiches and caked too! I also like the free water provided to accompany your coffee.

My local coffee shop - they do a good job here and provide a welcoming, clean environment. Recently underwent a make-over / face lift - with new decor & decoration which (for a chain) works well.

Went into the Nero on Church Road and was served by a sycophantic try hard waiter who tried to make out that Soya milk is a good alternative to Almond milk and that he knew how to make a great Chai Latte by adding more of their what tasted like PURE SUGAR Chai powder - which was revolting.HELLO!!! Have you heard of Almond MILK?? AND what about reducing the sugar in what is meant to be a healthy delicious sugar free drink? YUCK!!!!

After Starbucks ,the Nero's coffee is the best;nice girl attended me,very polite and smiley;The panini and coffee were just great to start the morning!Thank you guys!

Poor attitude towards the disabled. It was obvious I could not come to the counter - yet I was ignored at table despite asking for table service on account of my disability

Great coffee but unclean cups , I asked if they had been cleaned as was simply told yes in Eastern Europe accent . I will not return to this cafe . Not the standard I'm used to from this chain .

The coffee and cakes were good and there's a room at the back which is pleasant to sit in. It is not wheelchair friendly, especially if you need to use the toilets. The toilets were not clean and even when I mentioned this to staff nothing was done about it.

Overpriced. Over chummy staff having fun with each other instead of serving customers. Dreadful loos. Never again.

Lovely big place to sit and relax. The barista was very chatty and served my drink just how I like it. It was nice not to be crammed in like some of the coffee houses about.

The nice thing about this cafe is to pay for what you get. They may be at times a little pricey but it's worth the extra pence in the end. Quality food, relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. Plus they have loyalty cards for drinks bought.

There are lots of these about but the one in Brighton has a really nice atmosphere - friendly, relaxed. The barristas were laughing all the time. The previous day a customer in the queue was singing the praises of their friendly professionalism. Highly recommendd.

Café Nero ist immer wieder gut. Sie haben leckeren Kaffee und können die Stärke anpassen, sprich, wenn man seinen Kaffee nicht allzu stark möchte, einfach Bescheid geben und man bekommt nur einen Shot Kaffee in sein Getränk. Es gibt auch leckeres Gebäck, Muffins, Kuchen und co.

I had a fruit tea which was ok. My partner had a cup of tea but had to get an exchange due to lipstick on his cup. No quibble exchange. The white chocolate bar was not nice, tasted cheap. Tables not wiped down between customers which was not good

Decent coffee to go but place was very messy and untidy near to closing time. Many tables with trays and used plates etc. seemed to be just one staff member working though.

Visited Cafe Nero on a very wet day to have a drink and catch up with my brother. Was very busy but we were quickly served and we were able to enjoy a catch up in a fairly quiet environment. Cafe was clean and could probably do with being bigger as it seems a fairly popular place.

Caffe Nero is our favourite coffee shop, not only because of the excellent coffee and tea and great service but also because our children love their muffins. This was equally as good as other Caffe Nero's we've visited and the staff were lovely.The only thing that marks it down are the the toilet facilities. In this case, there are two small toilets down in the basement, not accessible if you have mobility problems and generally in need of a makeover.

Been into this store a few times now and the one thing that always stands out is how miserable the two members of staff are. I have never seen any different staff so others might be better but the guy always seems pissed off and doesn't treat customers very well and the girl never smiles even if you try to be pleasant. Food is "ok" and coffee's are well made but this "attitude" thing really puts people off.Look, if you don't want to work in customer service then don't do it. What does it cost to be pleasant and helpful to your customers? If it were a one-off then fair enough but these two are the same on every visit. @blubaby15 I think I was behind you when you experienced that incident with the male member of staff and can completely confirm all you have said. I mentioned it to my wife at the time. No need for that sort of unpleasantness at all.There are much better places near by so my advice would be to look around and try somewhere else if you can but this Nero would do in a pinch.

Ein Nero wie man es kennt, aber aber direkt am Busbahnhof gelegen. Total laut. Wer erwas gemütliches sucht, ist fehl am Platz.

I came in for a soya hot chocolate the man behind counter asked people behind me before I got served then after drink made I found him rude as he pointed saying "sugars" and towards door "rain" bye

Great coffee that is always served very quickly. the disadvantage is that the tables outside are often dirty, so staff should pay more attention to it. Will come back very soon

My Husband and I were visiting Brighton for the day and decided to stop for a coffee break near The Lanes. Nice Cafe Nero with a couple of Latte's that really hit the mark. Pleasant service.

Coffee chains are everywhere and Nero is not the worst but it certainly isn't the best either. Coffee is quite tasteless and staff could be friendlier.

Parked in The Lanes car park near here while 4 of us visited Brighton for the day. This was our first port of call for a quick coffee and croissant. Good service and at £2.90 for a coffee and croissant reasonable value.

Stopped for a light lunch whilst shopping in Brighton - Served by helpful friendly staff - even though it was a busy Saturday lunch time we didn't have to wait long x good coffee nice food x comfortable seating

Cafe Nero, Englands svar på Star Bucks. Riktigt bra kaffe för den kaffesugna. Du kan också köpa en god muffin eller shortbread. Små oaser här och där.

Ovvio che vi si trovi il caffè, ma non solo il lungo caffè caro agli anglosassoni, ma il caffè ristretto e morbido che piace agli italiani. Naturale che vi si trovi un po' di tutto, per stuzzicare l'appetito o gustare qualcosa in una pausa dalle fatiche e in attesa di cena o pranzo, con personale sollecito e cortese. Posti a sedere all'interno anche in comode poltrone e all'esterno. Consigliato.

As ever, Neros staff provide good quality food coupled with friendly and professional service. Nice to get some consistency.

Volto sempre! O ambiente é agradável, o atendimento é ótimo, as opções bem variadas e com bom wifi. É uma boa opção para encontrar os amigos ou comer algo mais rápido. O cardápio não se restringe a pãezinhos e cafés, oferece também pratos para almoço.

We have been stopping in at this Cafe Nero location for many years, and recently returned in October. We have always enjoyed their coffees, and baked snacks, and find their service to be consistently helpful and friendly. We can count on a refreshing break here.

the hot chocolate is amazing i have never had anything like it and also the coffee is brilliant I would definitely recommend this

The sandwiches and a chance to find a seat to eat them as Brighton can be very busy during the week and more so at the weekends

I visited this Café Nero after a tiring day of sight seeing in Brighton, the service was fast, friendly and really welcoming. The coffee is always good here, as are the cakes :o)Perfect place to recharge and rest our weary legs!

I visited this place with my partner today, coffee is top notch, good selection of things to eat, plenty of seating choices and not many kids!!! It was the perfect spot to get out of the cold and wind today. Highly recommend
