Cafe Munch in Birmingham

Recientemente visité este café, y debo decir que es una joya escondida! Los desayunos son excelentes, sabrosos y satisfactorios. Además, los precios no quebrarán el banco. El personal es amable, y la cafetería está impecablemente limpia. ¿Y la comida? Excelente! Si bien no ofrecen cafés o tés de lujo, esa simplicidad es en realidad una ventaja. Muy recomendable!

So, one needs to have the car cleaned and it is midway between breakfast time and lunch time. What to do? Answer, drop the car to be cleaned next door to Cafe Munch and have brunch at the cafe. Being the time between the morning rush and the midday rush the cafe was not too busy and as I sat down most of those who were there left. The Big Breakfast was order and the tea arrived in a couple of minutes, hot and obviously freshly made - delicious. A 10 minute wait and the breakfast arrived in a state that I was hoping for - freshly cooked with even the sausages showing their youth. On top of that everything tasted fine and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Highly recommended, great value and I will be there again as soon as the car needs cleaning if not before. Now where is that muddy lane near the Lickeys?

Brilliant breakfast, very clean cafe. Service fast. There is a TV to watchin the vackground. I always put my car in the hand carwash next door and sneak in for a great breakfast. This time a large and a small, but they do have a huge "hangover breakfast" for the hungrier folk.

Just visited this main road cafe for breakfast great quality food cooked as asked for and served politely and promptly in spotless surroundings would recommend this cafe to all only minor problem is the limited parking availability outside.

It was quite busy when we went which is a good sign imo. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Not the first visit tho first time I have had the full English. Will definitely be back soon.

Rang up placed my order with some rude young girl collected my sandwiches got home to no butter on my sandwiches so they went straight in the bin joke would not mind I go there most mornings

Always does a great take away toasted egg and onion sandwich for me. Easy to order in or.for take away.

Parking can be a problem as the cafe is on a busy main road so you may have to walk a few hundred yards but right next to this cafe is a place where you can have your car hand washed. Whilst you are waiting for your car to be cleaned it might be a good idea to pop into Cafe Munch and you have also solved any parking problems that you might have had? The cafe was very clean and you go to a counter to order your food from an extensive menu which is displayed on the wall. I had the medium sized full English breakfast and my wife had bacon and toast and the pinched half of one of my two sausages. Tea without milk was order by both of us and we also asked for some marmalade which was dispensed into a small dish from a large jar. A good feature in that there is then a zero plastic waste footprint and no wasted marmalade if you tell the person serving you how much marmalade you want. The lady taking the order was friendly and very helpful and with the cafe fairly full told us that there would be a 15 minute wait which was entirely reasonable and indicated to me that some of the food would be cooked subsequent of the order. Indeed the fried egg was perfect and had no tell tale signs of being on a hot plate for many minutes waiting for a customer to order a fried egg. As well as the fried egg there was a hash brown, a couple of rashers of bacon, a couple of sausages, black pudding, tomatoes .and a couple of rounds of toast. Just the right amount for a hearty breakfast. The next size up for breakfast basically doubled up on some of the constituents of the smaller breakfast which I had. All the food was in good conition and certainly not overcooked and on the way to be dessicated as happens in some cafes. I have not given this cafe a 5 even though it was very popular and our food was of a very high standard because it lacked a bit of cheerfulness from the staff and ambiance was alittle flat. Would I go again? Probably not because I am trying to visit as many places which serve breakfast in Birmingham as i can and the Clock Cafe a half mile away down the Bristol Road into Northfield which I have already visited does resonate with me a bit better.the Cafe Munch.

Always a great breakfast. Wide selection of food and drinks. Service always good. Big breakfast is a winner!

Come here on a Friday with my TA (I teach at the school next door!!!) Good food and large portions but sometimes and more frequently you don't get what you want. However, still good basic food and staff are always friendly so worth a visit.

Great selection of hot and cold sandwich and cooked breakfast's. Quality not amazing but does the job

Good local greasy spoon. Clean with good choice of newspapers. Chose the large breakfast with cuppa. Good choice. Friendly enough appears to be popular with locals. Would recommend.

The food is yummy the service is great the Mom and Daughter who work there are amazeballs without them the cafe would be nothing

We visit and order take away breakfast from munch a lot. Never had a bad breakfast always great, hot, fresh food, the service is always fast and faultless.

Munch is a cute little local cafe where my partner and I go sometimes to enjoy a typical English Breakfast. I sometimes also have the BBQ Chicken Melt with chips which is so tasty.

An excellent "greasy spoon" cafe. I live 5 minutes walk from here & it's a wonder I'm not 25 stone from eating here every day! Good quality English Breakfast fry up, plus other healthier options like salads & jacket potatoes if you're feeling foolish. Free...

We visit munch most Saturdays for a family fry up, great service food great always clean and tidy. Great place great value.

Had a very nice sausage sandwich on thick crusty bread carefully double bagged to take out. They had an offer on where I could have a hot drink free with the sandwich. Everywhere clean and tidy inside with all the necessary food and hygiene certificates...
